Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Rear shelf for motor vehicle Technical field and technological background
[0001] The present invention relates to a rear shelf of a motor vehicle and a motor vehicle comprising it.
[0002] In electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles, the electric charging components, such as a charging cable, are typically stored under the floor of the vehicle's trunk. However, when the trunk is occupied by objects, it may be necessary to remove these objects to access and / or operate the charging component access hatch.
[0003] Rear parcel shelves configured to accommodate a storage compartment are known. In patent application publication FR3122620 A1, the storage compartment is accessible from the top of the rear parcel shelf. In patent application publication FR3138384 A1, the storage compartment is accessible from a lower side of the rear parcel shelf. However, if the top of the parcel shelf or the vehicle's trunk is occupied by objects, it may still be necessary to remove these objects to access the storage compartment.
[0004] A storage space is therefore sought at the rear of a vehicle, to accommodate in particular electric charging elements, the access to which is not impacted by the presence of objects around this storage space. Summary of the invention
[0005] For this purpose, the invention relates to a rear shelf of a motor vehicle comprising an interior storage space accessible through an access opening located on an edge of said shelf.
[0006] Thus, the storage space remains accessible even when the upper surface of the rear shelf is occupied by objects, for example clothes placed on the rear shelf, or when the trunk is cluttered with objects.
[0007] According to one embodiment, the rear shelf of a motor vehicle includes an interior storage space accessible through an access opening located on an edge of said shelf.
[0008] According to one embodiment, the rear shelf includes a closure configured to conceal said access opening so as to close said storage space.
[0009] According to one variant, said closure forms a movable cover configured to conceal said access opening by coming against the edges of said opening.
[0010] According to one variant, said hood has an edge integral with the edge of the rear shelf, and is configured to pivot along this edge so as to selectively obscure or uncover said access opening.
[0011] According to one embodiment, said closure forms a rack closure configured to selectively join or separate the edges of said access opening.
[0012] According to one embodiment, said storage space is configured to receive an electric vehicle charging element.
[0013] According to one variant, said access opening is dimensioned to allow passage of the vehicle's electric charging element.
[0014] According to one embodiment, the rear shelf is formed of two shells assembled opposite each other so as to define said storage space.
[0015] According to one embodiment, said slice is configured to come from the side of a rear face of the motor vehicle.
[0016] The invention further relates to a motor vehicle comprising a rear shelf according to the invention, an underside of said rear shelf delimiting a storage space in a trunk of the vehicle. Brief description of the figures
[0017] The following description, with reference to the accompanying drawings, given by way of non-limiting examples, will clearly explain what the invention consists of and how it can be implemented. In the accompanying figures:
[0018] [Fig-1] Fig. 1 represents a motor vehicle comprising an example of rear shelf according to the invention, the storage space of which is closed;
[0019] [Fig.2] Fig.2 represents the motor vehicle of Fig.1, in which the rear shelf storage space is open. Detailed description
[0020] Figures 1 and 2 present a motor vehicle 200 comprising an example of a rear shelf 100 according to the invention.
[0021] The rear shelf 100 includes an interior storage space 110 which is accessible through an access opening 120 located in a slice of the shelf 100. Thus, a vehicle user can access the contents of the storage space 110 without being affected by the obstruction of the space above and below the rear shelf 100. In particular, the storage space 110 of the rear shelf 100 is accessible only through the access opening 120.
[0022] In particular, the rear shelf 100 comprises an upper face 105 and a lower face opposite the upper face 105. For example, the rear shelf 100 is obtained by assembling two facing shells. In particular, by coming together along their edges, the two shells define the storage space 100. To this end, the shells may comprise two concave parts facing each other, the assembly of which defines the storage space 100. The rear shelf 100 may include patterns 119 on its upper 105 or lower faces which are intended to stiffen the rear shelf 100. These patterns may take the form of embossing.
[0023] In particular, the underside of the rear shelf 100 delimits a storage compartment 210 within a vehicle trunk 200. Specifically, this trunk storage compartment 210 is delimited by a trunk floor and the underside of the rear shelf 100. In particular, the rear shelf 100 forms a partition between the vehicle trunk 200 and a passenger compartment intended for the driver and passengers. This is notably the case in a two-box sedan, for example, as illustrated in the figures. However, the rear shelf 100 may be contained within a trunk that is otherwise separate from the passenger compartment. This is notably the case in a three-box sedan. Specifically, when the vehicle is in motion, the rear shelf 100 is parallel to a vehicle floor.
[0024] In particular, the access opening 120 is located in a slice of the shelf that comes from the side of the rear of the vehicle 200. Thus, a user of the vehicle can use the storage space 110 of the rear shelf 100 from the rear of the vehicle 200, without being impacted by the obstruction above or below the rear shelf 100. From the slice of the shelf 100, the storage space 110 can extend into part of the rear shelf 100 or into its entirety.
[0025] In particular, the storage compartment 110 of the rear shelf 100 is configured to house an electric charging element 115, 116. The electric charging element may be a charging cable 116 configured to connect to an external power source for charging a vehicle battery 200. The charging cable 116 may be equipped with a charging box 115 for adapting the electrical power between the external power source and the vehicle battery 200. The storage compartment 110 of the rear shelf 100 may be dimensioned in width, height, and depth to receive the electric charging element 115, 116. In particular, the access opening 120 is dimensioned to allow the electric charging element 115, 116 to be inserted into, or removed from, the storage compartment 110 of the rear tablet 100.
[0026] The rear shelf 100 may include a closure 122 that covers the access opening 120 to close the storage space 110, for example as illustrated in [Fig. 1]. The closure 122 may completely cover the access opening 120, in particular to completely close the storage space 110, as illustrated in [Fig. 1]. Alternatively, the closure 122 may partially cover the access opening 120.
[0027] In particular, the closure 122 forms a movable cover that conceals the access opening 120 by pressing against its edges. Specifically, the cover 123 has an edge that is integral with the edge of the rear shelf 100. The cover 123 pivots along this edge so as to selectively conceal or uncover the access opening 120. However, the closure 122 can take another form. For example, the closure 122 forms a ratchet closure, such as a zipper, which selectively joins or separates the edges of the access opening 120.
