Artificial log (1) of ergonomic shape and design close to that of a log comprising a support base (2), with a minimum of two support feet, and optionally equipped with a horizontal turbine equipped with blades (3) supported by two monobloc bearings (4) integrated into said log, the log being intended to be placed on the floor of a closed fireplace such as an insert or a pellet stove, and being the means of separating the air intake flow for the combustion of the wood into two flows, the first between the glass wall of an insert or a pellet stove and said log with the role of sweeping the glass while preventing its blackening and the second to carry out the combustion of the wood; an increase in this flow regulated by a draft control allows for optimized combustion of the wood or pellets.
2. Artificial log according to claim 1 characterized and placed close to the glass of the fireplace in such a way that an airflow taken from the base of the fireplace flows along the glass, avoiding fumes which prevents the deposit of soot and its blackening.
3. Artificial log, according to claims 1 and 2, comprises a turbine equipped with blades (3) supported by two one-piece bearings (4) formed in the log which accelerates the airflow which cleans the glass.
4. Artificial log according to the preceding claims is made of a refractory material such as concrete, pozzolana or lava stones assembled with refractory cement or brick or of metal such as cast iron or cast steel.
5. Artificial log, according to the preceding claims, has an aesthetic obtained by a graphic of a red colored flame affixed to the visible face of the artificial log through the glass of the fireplace.
6. Artificial log according to claim 1 characterized can be stylized and simplified with an L-shaped form made from a formed sheet metal, the part visible through the glass being cut with the profile of the end of the flame, this artificial log, deflector type, can be permanently fixed to the hearth floor and be an option for manufacturers of wood and pellet inserts or stoves to prevent the glass from blackening.
