Abstract

The invention relates to a system for assisting the retrieval of at least one submerged object, comprising a buoy (8), a wire element deployment system (7) including a retaining device (72) coupled to, or contained within, the buoy (8), and a wire element (71) held in a shortened position, ready for deployment, one end (712) of the wire element being integral with the retaining device and the other end (719) being fixed to said at least one submerged object (9). A mechanical locking and unlocking system (6) allows the retaining device to be locked and unlocked. An acoustic signal emission system (4) is configured to emit an acoustic signal (S45) to a control system (5), to control the mechanical locking and unlocking system (6) for the deployment of the wire element. The invention also relates to a corresponding mechanical locking and unlocking system (6). Figure for the abstract: Fig. 1
