Abstract

The head portion (300) inwardly curved profile fastener access (304) when pushed against the worked fastener drive flats (82) can open against a resilient bias (70), the pivotal head portion (400) further pivoting around the pivot pin (60) allowing the hexagonal fastener head (81) to directly access the inner operating profile (302), when the fastener (80) is inserted the pivotal head portion (400) automatically closes towards the fixed head portion (500), operation of the turning means (20) in the drive torque direction D urging the fastener head (81) into engagement with the equidistant head portion torque application points (312, 313, 314) which form the triangular gripping profile (310), locking said fastener head (81) within the head portion inner drive profile (302), all radiused leading edges (315) facing in the drive torque direction D, an arcuate pathway (410) formed between the second torque application point (313) and third torque application points (314) concave arcuate corner profile (310) allowing passage of the adjacent fastener corner point (84), permitting ratcheting in the reverse R manner.
