Abstract

This article is an earth retaining wall formed by combining liner plates with flanges attached to the four sides of corrugated steel plates and joining them in a circular shape in plan view to prevent the collapse of the earthen wall surface of a shaft excavated in the ground. In this earth retaining wall, the flanges adjacent to each other on the left and right, which are the vertical joints between the liner plates in the same row, are joined by bolts, and the flanges adjacent to each other vertically, which are the horizontal joints between the liner plates in the upper and lower rows, are hooked and joined by hooking fittings. Further, adjacent hooking fittings are mounted with their hooking directions alternating so as not to fall off when a shearing force acts in a direction in which the flanges of the liner plates shift from each other.
