Abstract
This strainer is attached to the suction end of a suction hose when a fire engine or other device draws water from a reservoir such as a pond. It filters the water from the tank, and as shown in the explanatory diagram, has floats attached to both sides in a plan view. Both floats are connected by a pair of glasses-shaped connecting rods, and a strainer is rotatably attached to the middle of the connecting rod. The strainer is equipped with a filter that filters water. After filtering the water drawn in from the bottom, the strainer is supplied to, for example, a fire engine's fire pump via the suction hose, and ultimately discharged to a fire scene or other location. In this case, the strainer is submerged in water, and is kept afloat by the floats, as shown in the explanatory photograph.
