Abstract
The article of this design is an elastic member pushing tool used in repair work for existing drainage pipes. The elastic member pushing tool is used in conjunction with Tool 1, which has a first elastic member at the tip of a rod, as shown in Reference Figure 1, which shows the tools used together, and Tool 2, which has a long pusher plate with a wide portion that is widened in the plate width direction and a second elastic member disposed in the wide portion, as shown in Reference Figure 2, which shows the tools used together. The elastic member pushing tool is used to bond a short pipe to the inner surface of an existing drainage pipe. Referring to Reference Figure 1, which shows the state of use, first, a short pipe of a predetermined length having an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the existing drainage pipe and an opening that overlaps the branch opening to the horizontal pipe is placed so that the branch opening of the existing drainage pipe overlaps the opening of the short pipe (see (a) and (b)). At this time, tool 1 is used to block a first location located below the branch opening with a first elastic member, and tool 2 is used to fit a second elastic member into the branch opening (see (c) and (d)). Then, after filling the gap between the inner surface of the existing drainage pipe and the outer surface of the short pipe with adhesive (not shown), the short pipe is bonded to the inner surface of the existing drainage pipe, and tool 1, tool 2, and the elastic member pushing tool are removed (see (e)). The elastic member pushing tool is used to push the second elastic member into the branch opening of the existing drainage pipe during the process of bonding the short pipe to the inner surface of such an existing drainage pipe. The first elastic member and second elastic member are used to retain the injected liquid adhesive in the gap between the inner surface and the outer surface of the short pipe.
