Abstract

This valve is used to open and close the flow path of cryogenic fluids such as liquefied hydrogen. It has a bonnet and a valve body. As shown in the cross-sectional view of the BB section taken along line AA, the valve body has a fluid flow path at the bottom, and the upper part is wide and cylindrical to ensure internal space, with a slightly constricted shape. This internal cylindrical space prevents the cryogenic fluid from cooling the surrounding atmosphere. The upper end of the valve body has a thick protrusion along its circumference to connect it to the bonnet.
