Abstract

This item is an umbrella handle. The base (lower end) is open (see the perspective view of the rear and bottom views from a diagonal downward angle), allowing the handle to connect to the umbrella's central shaft, which is inserted into the handle through the open end. As shown in the bottom view and each cross-sectional view, a hexagonal insertion hole is provided inside the handle as a structure for connecting the central shaft. The insertion hole is provided in a boss having an external shape with a hexagonal horizontal cross-section (the corners are curved), and the boss protrudes radially inward from the inner wall of the handle and is supported by ribs arranged at 90-degree intervals in the circumferential direction. The handle is connected to the umbrella's central shaft by inserting and fixing the umbrella's central shaft into the insertion hole. The upper part of the handle is bent at an obtuse angle, and a permanent magnet is incorporated on the back of the tip surface. The tip surface functions as an adsorption surface that generates magnetic attraction. As shown in the reference perspective diagrams (1) and (2) illustrating the usage, the umbrella can be held in place by attaching the suction surface of the handle to an iron wall or similar surface.
