Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a solenoid valve in which a valve element is actuated by an electromagnet. [Background technology]
[0002] This type of solenoid valve has an electromagnet at the end of a valve body with a spool inside, which serves as a valve element. The electromagnet is composed of a cylindrical block, a coil block, a cover member, a spacer member, a nut member, etc. The cylindrical block has a fixed core and a yoke member welded to both ends of the cylindrical member, a movable core fitted inside the yoke member so that it can slide axially, and the movable core is positioned opposite the fixed core, which is screwed onto the end of the valve body. The spacer member is a plate-like annular member fitted around the fixed core and positioned at the end of the valve body. The coil block is a cylindrical coil bobbin with a coil wound around it, molded integrally with the coil block using molding resin, and fitted around the cylindrical block adjacent to the spacer member. The cover member is roughly cup-shaped, and its bottom is pressed against the yoke member by tightening the nut member to cover the coil block, and its open end engages the outer periphery of the spacer member. The movable core, fixed core, spacer member, cover member, and yoke member form a magnetic circuit that generates an attractive force that attracts the movable core to the fixed core when current is passed through the coil. [0003] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Publication No. 2021-163796 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] However, such conventional solenoid valves had the problem that water could seep in between the cylindrical block and the coil block fitted around the cylindrical block, causing corrosion at the welded points between the cylindrical member and the fixed iron core and the welded points between the cylindrical member and the yoke member.
[0005] The object of the present invention is to provide an electromagnetic valve that improves the waterproofing between the cylindrical block and the coil block fitted over the cylindrical block, and can effectively prevent corrosion due to water intrusion at the welded points between the cylindrical member and the fixed iron core and the welded points between the cylindrical member and the yoke member. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] In a solenoid valve in which a valve element located inside a valve body is operated by an electromagnet that attracts a movable iron core to a fixed iron core with the attractive force generated by energizing a coil, the electromagnet is composed of a cylindrical block, a spacer member, a coil block, and a cover member, the cylindrical block is a cylindrical fixed iron core made of a magnetic material attached to the end of the valve body, and a cylindrical yoke member made of a magnetic material that fits the movable iron core so that it can slide axially, and is fixed to both ends of the cylindrical member made of a non-magnetic material by welding, and the movable iron core is arranged opposite the fixed iron core, the spacer member is an annular member made of a magnetic material that is fitted onto the outside of the cylindrical block and is arranged on the end side of the valve body, and the coil block is a cylindrical coil wound with a coil The solenoid valve is characterized in that the bobbin is molded integrally from molding resin and fitted onto the cylindrical block adjacent to the spacer member, the cover member is made of a magnetic material and is roughly cup-shaped, attached to the end of the cylindrical block and covers the coil block, a first annular sealing member made of an elastic material is fitted onto the cylindrical block between the cover member and one axial end of the coil block, and a second annular sealing member made of an elastic material is fitted onto the cylindrical block between the other axial end opposite the one axial end of the coil block and the spacer member, and the second sealing member imparts its own elastic force to the spacer member in the direction of abutting against the end of the valve body.
[0007] In this case, the other axial end of the coil block may be formed with a recess having an inclined surface that gradually increases in diameter toward the end of the valve body, a second O-ring as the second sealing member may be abutted against the inclined surface and housed in the recess, the elastic force of the second O-ring pressing the spacer member toward the end of the valve body and pressing the second O-ring against the cylindrical block.Alternatively, the second sealing member may be a plate-shaped packing, the cylindrical block may have a flange formed by expanding a portion of the outer periphery of the fixed core, the spacer member may be fitted onto the flange, and the packing may abut against both the flange and the spacer member, the elastic force of the packing pressing the spacer member toward the end of the valve body and pressing the second O-ring against the flange. [Effects of the Invention]
[0008] As described above in detail, the invention described in claim 1 provides a first annular sealing member made of an elastic material fitted onto the cylindrical block between the cover member and one axial end of the coil block, and a second annular sealing member made of an elastic material fitted onto the cylindrical block between the other axial end of the coil block opposite the one axial end and the spacer member. This improves waterproofing between the cylindrical block and the coil block fitted onto the cylindrical block, effectively preventing corrosion due to water intrusion at the welded points between the fixed core and the cylindrical member and the welded points between the cylindrical member and the yoke member. Furthermore, the second sealing member exerts its elastic force on the spacer member in a direction that causes it to abut against the end of the valve body. Therefore, because the spacer member is fixed in contact with the end of the valve body, in the magnetic circuit that generates an attractive force that attracts the movable core to the fixed core when current is applied to the coil, a magnetic flux that flows through the cover member, spacer member, valve body, and fixed core can be generated in parallel with the magnetic flux that flows through the cover member, spacer member, and fixed core, thereby improving the attractive force that attracts the movable core to the fixed core. Furthermore, because the spacer member is fixed in contact with the end of the valve body, it is possible to effectively prevent fretting wear at the outer fitting point between the spacer member and the cylindrical block due to minute vibrations. Furthermore, the second sealing member can function to waterproof the gap between the cylindrical block and the coil block and to secure the spacer member, so two functions can be achieved with one component, reducing the number of parts, simplifying the configuration, and enabling the valve to be manufactured inexpensively.
[0009] In the invention described in claim 2, a recess with an inclined surface that gradually expands in diameter toward the end of the valve body is formed at the other axial end of the coil block, and a second O-ring as a second sealing member is housed in the recess by abutting against the inclined surface, and the elastic force of the second O-ring presses the spacer member toward the end of the valve body and presses the O-ring against the cylindrical block. Therefore, since the O-ring functions to waterproof the gap between the cylindrical block and the coil block and to secure the spacer member, a general-purpose O-ring can be used, making it possible to manufacture the valve even more inexpensively.
[0010] In the invention described in claim 3, the second sealing member is made of a plate-shaped packing, the cylindrical block has a flange formed by expanding part of the outer periphery of the fixed core, a spacer member is fitted onto the flange, the packing abuts against both the flange and the spacer member, and the elastic force of the packing presses the spacer member toward the end of the valve body while the packing itself is pressed against the flange. Therefore, the packing obtains the function of waterproofing the gap between the cylindrical block and the coil block by pressing against the flange, so the dimensional accuracy between the cylindrical block and the packing can be rough, allowing for easy assembly. [Brief explanation of the drawings]
[0011] [Figure 1] 1 is a vertical cross-sectional view of a solenoid valve according to an embodiment of the present invention; [Figure 2] FIG. 10 is a vertical cross-sectional view of a solenoid valve according to another embodiment. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0012] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In Figure 1, the solenoid valve is composed of a valve body 1, a first electromagnet 2 attached to one axial end of the valve body 1, a second electromagnet 3 attached to the other axial end opposite the one axial end of the valve body 1, and a terminal box T placed on top of the valve body 1.
[0013] A mounting hole 4 is formed axially through the valve body 1. A spool 5, serving as a valve element, is axially slidably received in the mounting hole 4. The inner surface of the mounting hole 4 is formed with annular recesses: a supply passage P approximately in the axial center; load passages A and B spaced apart on both axial sides of the supply passage P; and a discharge passage R spaced apart axially outward from the load passages A and B. The supply passage P is connected to a fluid pressure source, the load passages A and B are connected to an actuator (not shown), and the discharge passage R is connected to the low-pressure side. The spool 5 protrudes annularly to form a land 6. Axial movement of the land 6 opens and closes the passages P, A, B, and R, switching communication between the passages P, A, B, and R. Springs 5A and 5B are positioned at both axial ends of the spool 5, and the force of the springs 5A and 5B holds the spool 5 in a neutral position, blocking communication between the passages P, A, B, and R.
[0014] A cylindrical fixed core 7 of a first electromagnet 2 is screwed into one end opening of a fitting hole 4 that opens at one axial end of the valve body 1, and the first electromagnet 2 is attached and fixed to one axial end of the valve body 1. A second electromagnet 3, which has the same configuration as the first electromagnet 2, is attached and fixed to the other end opening of the fitting hole 4 that opens at the other axial end of the valve body 1. Hereinafter, the electromagnets will be described using the first electromagnet 2 as a representative. They have the same configuration. Therefore, in the following, the electromagnet section will be described using the first electromagnet section 22 as a representative.
[0015] The first electromagnet 2 is composed of a cylindrical block 8, a coil block 9, a cover member 10, a spacer member 11, a nut member 12, and a washer member 13. The cylindrical block 8 is composed of a fixed core 7, a movable core 14, a yoke member 15, a cylindrical member 16, a rod member 17, and a push pin member 18. The cylindrical block 8 is arranged so that the side of the fixed core 7 opposite the side that is screwed into the valve body 1 faces the yoke member 15, and the fixed core 7 and yoke member 15 are fixed by welding to both ends of the cylindrical member 16 made of a non-magnetic material. The fixed core 7 has an expanded outer diameter on the side that is screwed into the valve body 1 to form a flange 7A, and the flange 7A abuts one axial end of the valve body 1.
[0016] The yoke member 15 is cylindrical and made of a magnetic material, and has a fitting hole 19 formed at one end facing the fixed core 7. The other end of the yoke member 15, opposite the one end, is formed as a flat surface H, and a convex portion 15A protrudes axially outward from the radial center of the flat surface H. The movable core 14 is cylindrical and made of a magnetic material, and is fitted into the fitting hole 19 of the yoke member 15 so as to be slidable in the axial direction. The cross-sectional area of the annular shape of the yoke member 15 is approximately equal to the cross-sectional area of the annular shape of the movable core 14. The area of the flat surface H of the yoke member 15 is larger than the cross-sectional area of the annular shape of the yoke member 15.
[0017] A flow hole 20 is formed through the movable core 14 in the axial direction at a position eccentric from the radial center, and the flow hole 20 allows fluid to flow freely between both ends of the movable core 14, achieving pressure equilibrium between the ends of the movable core 14. The rod member 17 is fitted into the radial center of the fixed core 7 so as to be slidable in the axial direction, and both axial ends abut against the spool 5 and the movable core 14, respectively, and pushes in the spool 5 as the movable core 14 is attracted to the fixed core 7. The push pin member 18 is fitted into the protrusion 15A of the yoke member 15 so as to be slidable in the axial direction, and can be manually pushed in axially from the outside by an operator using a tool such as a screwdriver, moving the movable core 14 toward the fixed core 7.
[0018] The coil block 9 is composed of a coil 21, a cylindrical coil bobbin 22, and a molded resin 23. The coil 21 is wound around the coil bobbin 22 and molded with the molded resin 23 to form a single unit. At one axial end of the coil block 9, the inner diameter of the coil bobbin 22 gradually expands axially outward, forming a first recess 9A with a sloped surface in vertical cross section. At the other axial end of the coil block 9 opposite the axial end, the molded resin 23 gradually expands in diameter toward the end of the valve body 1, forming a second recess 9B with a sloped surface in vertical cross section. The second recess 9B is concentric with the first recess 9A and has a larger diameter than the first recess 9A. The spacer member 11 is formed in an annular shape from a magnetic material and fits around the flange 7A of the fixed core 7 that constitutes the cylindrical block 8, abutting against one axial end of the valve body 1. The other axial end of the coil block 9 is fitted onto the cylindrical block 8 adjacent to the spacer member 11 , and one axial end of the coil block 9 is made substantially flush with the flat surface H of the yoke member 15 .
[0019] Reference numeral 24 denotes a first O-ring made of an elastic material and serving as a circular first sealing member. It is housed in first recess 9A of coil block 9 and fitted onto the outside of cylindrical block 8, and is disposed between coil block 9 and cover member 10. Reference numeral 25 denotes a second O-ring made of an elastic material and serving as a circular second sealing member. It is housed in second recess 9B of coil block 9 and fitted onto the outside of flange 7A of fixed core 7 constituting cylindrical block 8, and is disposed between coil block 9 and spacer member 11. Cover member 10 is made of a magnetic material and is generally cup-shaped with a bottom. A through-hole 26 is formed axially at the radial center of the bottom. Convex portion 15A of yoke member 15 is inserted into through-hole 26, and the bottom abuts against flat surface H of yoke member 15. Cover member 10 covers coil bobbin 22, and its open end engages with the outer periphery of spacer member 11. Washer member 13 fits onto protrusion 15A of yoke member 15 and abuts against cover member 10. Nut member 12 is threaded onto protrusion 15A of yoke member 15, and is rotated to press cover member 10 against yoke member 15, with the bottom surface of cover member 10 pressed against flat surface H of yoke member 15.
[0020] When the cover member 10 is pressed against the first O-ring 24, it elastically deforms and presses against the inclined surface of the first recess 9A, the bottom surface of the cover member 10, and the outer peripheral surface of the yoke member 15 that constitutes the cylindrical block 8, thereby providing waterproofing between the cylindrical block 8 and the coil block 9. When the cover member 10 is pressed against the second O-ring 25, it elastically deforms and presses against the inclined surface of the second recess 9B, the side surface of the spacer member 11, and the outer peripheral surface of the flange portion 7A of the fixed core 7 that constitutes the cylindrical block 8, thereby providing waterproofing between the cylindrical block 8 and the coil block 9. In addition, the second O-ring 25 imparts its own elastic force to the spacer member 11 in a direction that causes it to abut against the end of the valve body 1, thereby fixing the spacer member 11 that abuts against the end of the valve body 1.
[0021] The magnetic circuit that generates an attractive force that attracts the movable iron core 14 to the fixed iron core 7 when current is passed through the coil 21 is formed by the movable iron core 14, the fixed iron core 7, the spacer member 11, the cover member 10, and the yoke member 15, and also forms a magnetic circuit in which a portion of the magnetic flux flows through the valve body 1 between the fixed iron core 7 and the spacer member 11.
[0022] Next, the operation of this configuration will be described. 1 shows a state in which no current is applied to the coil 21, and the movable core 14 is stopped at a position separated from the fixed core 7 to the right in the axial direction. The spool 5 is in a neutral position, blocking communication between the flow paths P, A, B, and R.
[0023] In this state, when current is applied to the coil 21, an attractive force is generated that attracts the movable core 14 to the fixed core 7, causing the movable core 14 to slide leftward in the figure and be attracted to the fixed core 7, and the rod member 17 presses the spool 5 leftward in the figure. The spool 5 slides leftward in the figure, switching the load flow path A to communicate with the supply flow path P and switching the load flow path B to communicate with the discharge flow path R.
[0024] In this state, when the coil 21 is de-energized, the attractive force attracting the movable core 14 to the fixed core 7 disappears, and the spool 5 slides to the right in the figure by the force of the spring 5B and returns to the position shown in the figure, blocking the communication between the flow paths P, A, B, and R. The movable core 14 is pressed to the right in the figure by the rod member 17, and moves away from the fixed core 7 and returns to the position shown in the figure.
[0025] 1, when the second electromagnet 3 is energized, the spool 5 slides to the right in the figure, switching the load flow path A to communicate with the discharge flow path R and switching the load flow path B to communicate with the supply flow path P. When the second electromagnet 3 is de-energized, the spool 5 slides to the left in the figure by the force of the spring 5A and returns to the position shown in the figure, blocking communication between the flow paths P, A, B, and R.
[0026] In this operation, a first annular O-ring 24 made of an elastic material is fitted onto the cylindrical block 8 between the cover member 10 and one axial end of the coil block 9, and a second annular O-ring 25 made of an elastic material is fitted onto the cylindrical block 8 between the other axial end opposite the one axial end of the coil block 9 and the spacer member 11. Therefore, the first O-ring 24 and the second O-ring 25 can improve the waterproofing between the cylindrical block 8 and the coil block 9 fitted onto the cylindrical block 8, thereby effectively preventing corrosion due to water intrusion at the welded points between the fixed core 7 and the cylindrical member 16 and the welded points between the cylindrical member 16 and the yoke member 15.
[0027] Furthermore, the second O-ring 25 imparts its own elastic force to the spacer member 11 in a direction in which it abuts against the end of the valve body 1. Therefore, the spacer member 11 is fixed in abutment against the end of the valve body 1, and therefore in the magnetic circuit that generates an attractive force that attracts the movable core 14 to the fixed core 7 when current is applied to the coil 21, a magnetic flux that flows through the cover member 10, spacer member 11, valve body 1, and fixed core 7 can be generated in parallel with the magnetic flux that flows through the cover member 10, spacer member 11, and fixed core 7, thereby improving the attractive force that attracts the movable core 14 to the fixed core 7.
[0028] Furthermore, because the spacer member 11 is fixed in contact with the end of the valve body 1, it is possible to effectively prevent minute vibrations of the spacer member 11 from causing fretting wear at the portion where it is fitted onto the cylindrical block 8 and at the portion where it engages with the cover member 10. Furthermore, the second O-ring 25 has the function of waterproofing the gap between the cylindrical block 8 and the coil block 9 and the function of fixing the spacer member 11, so two functions can be achieved with one component, the number of parts can be reduced, the configuration can be simplified, and the valve can be manufactured inexpensively.
[0029] Furthermore, a second recess 9B having an inclined surface that gradually widens in diameter toward the end of the valve body 1 is formed at the other axial end of the coil block 9, and a second O-ring 25 is housed in the second recess 9B by abutting against the inclined surface, and the elastic force of the second O-ring 25 presses the spacer member 11 toward the end of the valve body 1 while pressing the spacer member 11 against the flange 7A of the fixed core 7 that constitutes the cylindrical block 8. Therefore, the O-ring functions to waterproof the space between the cylindrical block 8 and the coil block 9 and to secure the spacer member 11, so that a general-purpose O-ring can be used, allowing the valve to be manufactured even more inexpensively.
[0030] FIG. 2 shows another embodiment of the present invention, and the same parts as those in the first embodiment are given the same reference numerals and their explanations are omitted, and only the different parts will be explained. The annular second sealing member is made of a plate-shaped packing 27. The flange 7B of the fixed core 7, onto which the spacer member 11 is fitted, has an axial width dimension that is approximately the same as the thickness dimension of the spacer member 11. The coil block 9 has an annular recess 9C at the other axial end, where the inner diameter side of the molded resin 23 is recessed and the bottom surface is flat. The packing 27 is housed in the recess 9C of the coil block 9 and abuts against the side of the flange 7B and the side of the spacer member 11. The packing 27 uses its own elastic force to press the spacer member 11 toward the end of the valve body 1, fixing the spacer member 11 in abutment against the end of the valve body 1. The packing 27 also uses its own elastic force to press against the side of the flange 7B and the bottom surface of the recess 9C, waterproofing the space between the cylindrical block 8 and the coil block 9.
[0031] In operation, similar to the first embodiment, when the coil 21 shown in Fig. 2 is not energized, the spool 5 is in a neutral position, blocking communication between the flow paths P, A, B, and R. When the coil 21 is energized, the movable iron core 14 slides leftward in the figure, causing the rod member 17 to press the spool 5 leftward in the figure, and the spool 5 slides leftward in the figure, switching the load flow path A to communicate with the supply flow path P and the load flow path B to communicate with the discharge flow path R. When the second electromagnet 3 is energized with the spool 5 in the neutral position shown in Fig. 2, the spool 5 slides rightward in the figure, switching the load flow path A to communicate with the discharge flow path R and the load flow path B to communicate with the supply flow path P.
[0032] With this operation, a first O-ring 24 is fitted onto the cylindrical block 8 between the cover member 10 and one axial end of the coil block 9, and a gasket 27 is fitted onto the cylindrical block 8 between the other axial end of the coil block 9 and the spacer member 11. Therefore, the first O-ring 24 and the gasket 27 can improve the waterproofing between the cylindrical block 8 and the coil block 9, and as in the first embodiment, corrosion due to water intrusion can be effectively prevented at the welded points between the fixed core 7 and the cylindrical member 16 and the welded points between the cylindrical member 16 and the yoke member 15.
[0033] Furthermore, the packing 27 imparts its own elastic force to the spacer member 11 in the direction of contacting the end of the valve body 1. Therefore, as in the first embodiment, the spacer member 11 is fixed in contact with the end of the valve body 1, and therefore a magnetic flux can be generated that flows through the cover member 10, the spacer member 11, the valve body 1, and the fixed core 7 in parallel with the magnetic flux that flows through the cover member 10, the spacer member 11, and the fixed core 7, thereby improving the attractive force that attracts the movable core 14 to the fixed core 7.
[0034] Furthermore, as in the first embodiment, the spacer member 11 is fixed in contact with the end of the valve body 1, which effectively prevents fretting wear caused by minute vibrations of the spacer member 11. Furthermore, the packing 27 has the function of waterproofing the space between the cylindrical block 8 and the coil block 9 and the function of fixing the spacer member 11, so as in the first embodiment, two functions can be achieved with one component, which reduces the number of parts, simplifies the configuration, and enables the valve to be manufactured inexpensively.
[0035] The second sealing member is made of plate-shaped packing 27, which abuts against both the side of flange 7B of fixed core 7 and the side of spacer member 11, and the elastic force of packing 27 presses spacer member 11 toward the end of valve body 1, while packing itself is pressed against the side of flange 7B. Therefore, packing 27 obtains the function of waterproofing the gap between cylindrical block 8 and coil block 9 by being pressed against flange 7B, so the dimensional accuracy between itself and cylindrical block 8, into which it fits, can be coarse, allowing for easy assembly.
[0036] In the above-described embodiments, the cover member 10 is pressed against the yoke member 15 by the nut member 12, but a C-shaped retaining ring may be attached to the protrusion 15A of the yoke member 15 to press the cover member 10 against the yoke member 15. Also, although the spool 5 is operated by providing two electromagnets, the first electromagnet 2 and the second electromagnet 3, it is of course also possible to provide a single electromagnet.
