Abstract

To provide a porous metallic member having sufficient strength, showing a low pressure drop to gas and a liquid and being capable of efficiently carrying out CO2 reduction.SOLUTION: The porous metallic member comprises a member body of a porous structure constituted of a metallic material, and an Ag catalyst layer formed at least on one face side of the member body, and is characterized in that the porosity thereof falls within a range of 73% or greater and 95% or less, and Faraday efficiency is 10% or greater upon generating CO from CO2. It is preferable that the thickness of the Ag catalyst layer be 100 nm or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
