Abstract

To provide a monitoring device that monitors a state of a cooling device such as a showcase connected by a network and appropriately restarts the cooling device regardless of timing of power recovery.SOLUTION: An upper control apparatus 1 that is a monitoring device includes: a power supply control circuit 2 that receives power supply from an external power source (an AC100 V power source) or a UPS 3 and supplies power to inside; a communication unit 6 that communicates with a plurality of control apparatuses connected by a network; a control unit 5 in which a program 44 for monitoring the plurality of control apparatuses based on measurement data including temperature received from the communication unit 6 and a monitoring process 51 for monitoring an operation state of the program 44 are operated; a power source state flag 42 showing which is a power supply source, an external power source or an UPS; and a restart flag 41 showing necessity of a restart of the upper control apparatus 1 after shutdown.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
