Detention brake gear and detention brake system

Abstract

To provide a detention brake gear and a detention brake system capable of preventing dragging of a vehicle in an unreleasable state after connection.SOLUTION: A detention brake gear 11 and a detention brake system 10 comprise: a detention brake cylinder 20 that is provided in a trailer 3 of a freight train 1 and that outputs a detection brake force of a detection brake for retaining the trailer 3 to a brake lever 32 for braking wheels of the trailer 3 by means of a brake spring 24, and cancels a pressing force of the brake spring 24 by a piston 22 when compressed air is supplied; and a selector valve 13 that supplies, when the trailer 3 is connected to a connection vehicle 4 constituting the freight train 1, the compressed air of an air storage pipe 5 drawn from the connection vehicle 4 to the detention brake cylinder 20 to cancel the pressing force of the brake spring 24 by the piston 22, and releases the detection brake.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
