Tire evaluation method

Abstract

To provide a tire evaluation method that easily and highly accurately evaluates a belt by using a tire cross-sectional image.SOLUTION: A tire evaluation method comprises steps of: extracting an area including a plurality of belt wires and not including another metal portion from a tire cross-sectional image imaged using a CT device to perform binarization processing, and then creating a binarized image where portions of the plurality of belt wires are represented by white pixels; listing coordinates of the plurality of white pixels in the binarized image; and creating a plurality of groups, each of which is a collection of the plurality of white pixels, by repeating a process of performing a neighborhood search using one pixel in the created list as a starting point, a process of grouping a plurality of pixels identified by the neighborhood search into one group, and a process of removing pixel data included in one of the groups from the list, until all pixel data is exhausted from the list.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
