To provide a yarn winding device capable of improving the amount of production compared to uniform deceleration control.SOLUTION: A winding unit 3 comprises a unit control part 10 which controls a winding device 14 to wind yarn at a previously set winding speed, a tension adjusting device 25 which adjusts the tension of the yarn Y within a predetermined range, and a yarn monitoring device 28 which confirms the presence of the yarn Y to detect the yarn being broken. The unit control part 10 performs low-speed winding control to wind the yarn at a speed lower than the winding speed in a predetermined state in which the tension adjusting device 25 is unable to adjust the tension of the yarn Y within the predetermined range and after the yarn monitoring device 28 detects the yarn being broken.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
