Screw and screw attachment structure

Abstract

To provide a screw and a screw attachment structure which facilitate stabilization of fastening state with respect to a thin member.SOLUTION: A screw 1 comprises a drill part 2, a head part 3, and a shaft part 5 with a male screw 4 formed on an external peripheral surface. The shaft part 5 has a first portion 50 continuous to the drill part 2, and a second portion 51 continuous to a screw head side of the first portion 50. The first portion 50 includes a tapered portion 50a which has a diameter larger than the drill part 2 and has a larger diameter as it is closer to the screw head side. The male screw 4 includes a first male screw part 4a which extends in a spiral shape, and a second male screw part 4b which extends in a spiral shape along the first male screw part. An attachment structure for the screw 1 comprises the screw 1, a thin plate 6 and an attachment member 7 which is attached to the thin plate 6 with the screw 1. The thin plate 6 has a through hole 60 with the screw 1 disposed therethrough, and a cylindrical burring 61 formed on a circumference of the through hole 60. The male screw parts 4a, 4b bite in an internal peripheral surface 600 of the through hole 60 of the thin plate 6 and in an internal peripheral surface 610 of the burring 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
