To provide a novel compound which can give a cured product exhibiting a high refractive index and is also excellent in film formability and curability.SOLUTION: The compound is represented by formula (I), where R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent; L represents a single bond or a divalent group; a plurality of L's may be the same or different; A represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; a plurality of A's may be the same or different; n represents an integer of 0-4; R represents a monovalent substituent; and when there are a plurality of R's, the plurality of R's may be the same or different.SELECTED DRAWING: None
