[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2014-230329 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] In this conventional electrical junction box, the terminal of the electric wire with terminal is inserted into the tubular portion through the electric wire outlet and then drawn into the accommodation chamber through the tubular portion. When the terminal is screwed into the accommodation chamber, the terminal is placed on the female screw member that is pre-installed in the accommodation member, and the male screw member is screwed into the female screw member. In this series of operations, in the conventional electrical junction box, it is difficult to align the axis of the male screw insertion hole of the terminal with the screw axis of the female screw member, and even if the hole axis is aligned with the screw axis, there is a possibility that the male screw member may become misaligned before being screwed into the male screw member.
[0005] SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT EMBODIMENTS An object of the present invention is to provide an electrical junction box capable of improving the positioning accuracy between a terminal fitting and a female screw member. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] The present invention comprises a terminal fitting which is physically and electrically connected to an end of an electric wire by an electric wire connection portion, and a male screw insertion hole for inserting a male screw portion of a male screw member is formed in an electrical connection portion as a screw-fastening portion of the terminal fitting; a female screw member having a female screw portion into which the male screw portion is screwed; and an accommodating member in which the screw axis of the female screw portion is suspended from a bottom of a accommodating chamber toward an opening thereof and the female screw portion is exposed and the female screw member is embedded in the bottom side of the accommodating chamber, and the electrical connection portion is screw-fastened by the female screw member and the male screw member screwed in the accommodating chamber, the accommodating member being a tubular portion protruding from a side wall portion of the accommodating chamber outside the accommodating chamber, one end of the accommodating chamber being connected to the accommodating chamber, The electrical connector has a cylindrical accommodating portion that allows the electric wire accommodated inside the tube together with the electric wire connection portion to be pulled out from an electric wire outlet at the other end, and the cylindrical accommodating portion has a locking portion inside the tube that locks the terminal fitting at a screw-fastened position of the electrical connection portion by the female screw member and the male screw member, and the locking portion includes a first locking portion that locks the movement of the terminal fitting in one axial direction of the screw shaft from the side where the bottom is located, a second locking portion that locks the movement of the terminal fitting in the other axial direction of the screw shaft from the side where the opening is located, a third locking portion that locks the movement of the terminal fitting in the direction around one axis of the screw shaft, and a fourth locking portion that locks the movement of the terminal fitting in the direction around the other axis of the screw shaft. Effect of the Invention
[0007] In the electrical connection box according to the present invention, the terminal fitting is locked in a screw-fastened fixed position from all four sides within the cylindrical housing by the first, second, third and fourth locking portions, so that the hole axis of the male screw insertion hole of the electrical connection part can be easily aligned coaxially with the screw axis of the female screw part of the female screw member, and the electrical connection part can be placed on the female screw member with the hole axis and screw axis aligned coaxially. Thus, this electrical connection box can improve the positioning accuracy of the terminal fitting and the female screw member, and can improve the operability when screwing the male screw member into the female screw member. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0009] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of an electrical junction box according to the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the embodiment.
[0010] [Embodiment] One embodiment of an electrical junction box according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
[0011] Reference numeral 1 in Fig. 1 to Fig. 9 indicates an electric junction box of this embodiment. This electric junction box 1 includes an electric wire with terminal 10, a housing member 20 that houses the electric wire with terminal 10, a cover member 30 that closes an opening 20a of the housing member 20, and a female screw member 41 and a male screw member 42 that screw-fix the electric wire with terminal 10 to the housing member 20 (Fig. 1 to Fig. 9).
[0012] The electric wire with terminal 10 includes an electric wire 11 and a terminal fitting 12 that is physically and electrically connected to an end of the electric wire 11 (FIGS. 1 to 9).
[0013] The terminal fitting 12 is made of a conductive material such as metal. The terminal fitting 12 has an electric wire connection part 12a that physically and electrically connects to the end of the electric wire 11 (FIGS. 4 to 9). The electric wire connection part 12a shown here is a crimping part that crimps two barrel pieces to the end of the electric wire 11 placed on the bottom, and physically and electrically connects to the core wire of the end.
[0014] The terminal fitting 12 also has an electrical connection portion 12b as a screw-fastening portion using a female screw member 41 and a male screw member 42 (Figs. 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 9). This electrical connection portion 12b is formed in a rectangular flat plate shape and is disposed on an extension line of the bottom of the electric wire connection portion 12a. A through hole (hereinafter referred to as a "male screw insertion hole") 12c for inserting the male screw portion 42a of the male screw member 42 is formed in the plate thickness direction in this electrical connection portion 12b (Figs. 4, 6, 8 and 9). This male screw insertion hole 12c is formed in a circular shape.
[0015] The female screw member 41 has a female screw portion 41a into which the male screw portion 42a of the male screw member 42 is screwed, and is embedded in the accommodating member 20 as described below (FIGS. 4 to 7). The terminal-fitted electric wire 10 is fixed to the accommodating member 20 by inserting the male screw portion 42a into the male screw insertion hole 12c of the electrical connection portion 12b of the terminal fitting 12 and screwing the male screw portion 42a into the female screw portion 41a.
[0016] The electric connection box 1 illustrated here further includes an electronic component 50 accommodated in the accommodation member 20 (FIGS. 1 and 2). The electronic component 50 is, for example, a fuse or a relay, and a terminal fitting 12 of the terminal-fitted electric wire 10 is physically and electrically connected to the electronic component 50. The terminal fitting 12 is fastened to a mating electrical connection member 51 such as a bus bar of the electronic component 50 by a screw-fastening structure of a female screw member 41 and a male screw member 42, thereby establishing an electrical connection relationship with the mating electrical connection member 51 (FIGS. 1, 2, and 4). Therefore, the electrical connection portion 12b illustrated here can be said to be a portion fastened to the mating electrical connection member 51 by using the female screw member 41 and the male screw member 42.
[0017] The housing member 20 is molded from an insulating material such as synthetic resin. The housing member 20 has a bottom 21 and a side wall 22 that form the housing chamber 20b (FIGS. 1 to 4, 6, 8, and 9). The bottom 21 is disposed opposite the opening 20a with the housing chamber 20b therebetween. The side wall 22 is a vertical wall that is vertically tubular from the outer periphery of the bottom 21, and the opening 20a is formed by an annular end portion in the vertical direction.
[0018] In this housing member 20, the screw axis of the female screw portion 41a is vertically extended from the bottom 21 of the housing chamber 20b toward the opening 20a, and the female screw member 41 is embedded in the bottom 21 of the housing chamber 20b with the female screw portion 41a exposed (FIGS. 4 to 9). For example, this housing member 20 is insert molded with respect to the female screw member 41 in a mold, thereby integrally holding the female screw member 41. In this housing member 20, the female screw member 41 is embedded with the annular surface 41b at one end on the opening 20a side exposed (FIGS. 4, 6, 8, and 9).
[0019] The housing member 20 is a tube portion protruding from a side wall portion 22 of the housing chamber 20b outside the housing chamber 20b, and has a tube-shaped housing portion 23 whose one end communicates with the housing chamber 20b and through which the electric wire 11 housed in the tube together with the electric wire connection portion 12a is pulled out from an electric wire pull-out port 23a at the other end (FIGS. 1 to 9). The tube-shaped housing portion 23 shown here is formed in a cylindrical shape.
[0020] In the housing member 20, the female screw member 41 is embedded near one end of the cylindrical housing portion 23 (FIGS. 1, 2, and 4 to 9). Thus, in the electric wire with terminal 10, the electric wire connection portion 12a between the electric wire 11 and the terminal fitting 12 is housed in the cylindrical housing portion 23, and the electric connection portion 12b of the terminal fitting 12 is placed on the annular surface 41b of the female screw member 41 in the housing chamber 20b in a state in which it protrudes from the cylindrical housing portion 23 (FIGS. 4 and 9). The electric connection portion 12b is placed on the annular surface 41b of the female screw member 41 at a screw-fastened position where the hole axis of the male screw insertion hole 12c is coaxially aligned with the screw axis of the female screw portion 41a. In the housing member 20, the electrical connection portion 12b protruding into the housing chamber 20b is fixed by screwing the female screw member 41 and the male screw member 42 which are screwed together in the housing chamber 20b (FIGS. 1, 2, 4 and 5).
[0021] Here, the cylindrical accommodating portion 23 has a locking portion 24 therein that locks the terminal fitting 12 at a screw-fixed position of the electrical connection portion 12b by the female screw member 41 and the male screw member 42 (FIGS. 3 to 9). Specifically, the locking portion 24 includes a first locking portion 24A that locks the movement of the terminal fitting 12 in one axial direction of the screw shaft of the female screw portion 41a from the side where the bottom portion 21 is disposed, a second locking portion 24B that locks the movement of the terminal fitting 12 in the other axial direction of the screw shaft of the female screw portion 41a from the side where the opening 20a is disposed, a third locking portion 24C that locks the movement of the terminal fitting 12 in one axial direction around the screw shaft of the female screw portion 41a, and a fourth locking portion 24D that locks the movement of the terminal fitting 12 in the other axial direction around the screw shaft of the female screw portion 41a.
[0022] The first locking portion 24A, the second locking portion 24B, the third locking portion 24C and the fourth locking portion 24D each have a terminal locking function of locking the terminal fitting 12 at the screw-fixed position of the electrical connection portion 12b, as well as a terminal guide function of guiding the terminal fitting 12 inserted into the tube of the tubular accommodating portion 23 from the wire withdrawal port 23a to the screw-fixed position.
[0023] The first engagement portion 24A protrudes from the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical accommodating portion 23 toward the other axial direction of the screw shaft of the female screw portion 41a (i.e., the side where the opening 20a is located), and is inclined so that the amount of protrusion from the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical accommodating portion 23 gradually increases the further it moves from the wire withdrawal opening 23a toward the accommodating chamber 20b, and has a first guide surface 24a that can guide the terminal fitting 12 along the inclined surface to a screw-fixed position (Figures 4, 6, 8 and 9).
[0024] When the terminal fitting 12 is in the screw-fixed position, the first locking portion 24A locks the movement of the terminal fitting 12 in one axial direction of the screw shaft of the female screw portion 41a (i.e., the side where the bottom portion 21 is disposed) with the first guide surface 24a. The terminal fitting 12 of this example is inserted into the tube of the cylindrical housing portion 23 with the bottom portion of the electric wire connection portion 12a facing the other axial direction of the screw shaft of the female screw portion 41a (i.e., the side where the opening 20a is disposed), and is disposed in the screw-fixed position in the housing chamber 20b while maintaining that posture. Therefore, the first locking portion 24A locks the electric wire connection portion 12a with the first guide surface 24a when the terminal fitting 12 in the screw-fixed position tries to move in one axial direction of the screw shaft of the female screw portion 41a (i.e., the side where the bottom portion 21 is disposed). The first locking portion 24A shown here has a first guide surface 24a extending into the accommodating chamber 20b, and the first guide surface 24a within this accommodating chamber 20b locks the movement of the terminal fitting 12 in one axial direction of the screw shaft of the female screw portion 41a (i.e., the side on which the bottom portion 21 is located).
[0025] Furthermore, since the first engaging portion 24A has an inclined surface whose first guide surface 24a gradually increases in amount of protrusion from the inner surface of the cylindrical accommodating portion 23 as it approaches the accommodating chamber 20b from the wire withdrawal opening 23a, when the terminal fitting 12 is in the screw-fixed position, the wire connection portion 12a is engaged with the first guide surface 24a so that the terminal fitting 12 does not enter any further into the accommodating chamber 20b.
[0026] The second locking portion 24B protrudes from the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical accommodating portion 23 toward one axial direction of the screw shaft of the female screw portion 41a (i.e., the side where the bottom portion 21 is disposed), and is inclined so that the amount of protrusion from the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical accommodating portion 23 gradually increases from the electric wire withdrawal opening 23a toward the accommodating chamber 20b. The second guide surface 24b is capable of guiding the terminal fitting 12 to a screw-fixed position along the inclined surface. 1 (FIGS. 4, 6, 8 and 9).
[0027] When the terminal fitting 12 is in the screw-fixed position, the second locking portion 24B is in contact with the second guide surface 24b. 1 The second locking portion 24B locks the movement of the terminal fitting 12 in the other axial direction of the screw shaft of the female screw portion 41a (i.e., the side where the opening 20a is located) at a different location from the first locking portion 24B. Since the bottom of the electric wire connecting portion 12a faces the other axial direction of the screw shaft of the female screw portion 41a (i.e., the side where the opening 20a is located), the second locking portion 24B locks the bottom of the electric wire connecting portion 12a when the terminal fitting 12 in the screw-fixed position tries to move in the other axial direction of the screw shaft of the female screw portion 41a (i.e., the side where the opening 20a is located). For example, the second locking portion 24B shown here is arranged such that the second guide surface 24b 1 The locking surface 24b is connected to the end of the female screw portion 41a on the side of the receiving chamber 20b, and locks the movement of the terminal fitting 12 in the other axial direction of the screw shaft of the female screw portion 41a (i.e., the side where the opening 20a is located). 2 The locking surface 24b 2 The bottom of the electric wire connecting portion 12a is locked with the latch (FIGS. 4, 6, 8 and 9).
[0028] The third locking portion 24C and the fourth locking portion 24D extend in the axial direction of the cylindrical accommodating portion 23 and have guide surfaces 24c and 24d that guide the terminal fitting 12 to the screw-fixed position while sandwiching it (FIGS. 5 and 7). The third locking portion 24C and the fourth locking portion 24D protrude from the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical accommodating portion 23 toward each other. The guide surfaces 24c and 24d are wall surfaces that are aligned with the axial direction of the cylindrical accommodating portion 23 (in other words, the insertion direction of the terminal-attached electric wire 10 inside the cylindrical accommodating portion 23). When the terminal fitting 12 is at the screw-fixed position, the third locking portion 24C and the fourth locking portion 24D sandwich the terminal fitting 12 between their respective guide surfaces 24c and 24d and lock the movement of the terminal fitting 12 in the axial direction around the screw axis of the female screw portion 41a. The third locking portion 24C and the fourth locking portion 24D shown here sandwich the electric wire connecting portion 12a from the sides with their respective guide surfaces 24c and 24d.
[0029] In this electrical connection box 1, when the electric wire 10 with the terminal is inserted with the terminal fitting 12 moved toward the first locking portion 24A, the terminal fitting 12 is guided along the first guide surface 24a of the first locking portion 24A. In addition, in this electrical connection box 1, when the electric wire 10 with the terminal is inserted with the terminal fitting 12 moved toward the second locking portion 24B, the terminal fitting 12 is guided along the second guide surface 24b of the second locking portion 24B. 1 The terminal fitting 12 is guided along the groove.
[0030] The first locking portion 24A, the second locking portion 24B, the third locking portion 24C, and the fourth locking portion 24D shown above may each be provided in the tube of the cylindrical housing portion 23, or a plurality of them may be provided in the tube of the cylindrical housing portion 23. Here, three of each of the first locking portion 24A, the second locking portion 24B, the third locking portion 24C, and the fourth locking portion 24D are provided. Each of the first locking portion 24A and the second locking portion 24B is paired, and three sets of such pairs are provided. Also, each of the third locking portion 24C and the fourth locking portion 24D is paired, and three sets of such pairs are provided. With regard to the exemplary third locking portion 24C and fourth locking portion 24D, for example, at least one of the three pairs is used to clamp and guide the terminal fitting 12 between the guide surfaces 24c, 24d, and the terminal fitting 12 is clamped and locked by the middle pair of guide surfaces 24c, 24d of the three pairs.
[0031] In this manner, the electrical connection box 1 of this embodiment locks the terminal fitting 12 in the cylindrical housing 23 at a screw-fastened fixed position from all sides by the first locking portion 24A, the second locking portion 24B, the third locking portion 24C, and the fourth locking portion 24D, so that the hole axis of the male screw insertion hole 12c of the electrical connection portion 12b can be easily aligned coaxially with the screw axis of the female screw portion 41a of the female screw member 41, and the electrical connection portion 12b can be placed on the annular surface 41b of the female screw member 41 with the hole axis and the screw axis aligned coaxially. Thus, the electrical connection box 1 can improve the positioning accuracy of the terminal fitting 12 and the female screw member 41, and can improve the operability when screwing the male screw member 42 into the female screw member 41.
[0032] In addition, in the electric connection box 1 of this embodiment, when the electric connection portion 12b is in the screw-fixed position, the inclined surface, which is the first guide surface 24a of the first locking portion 24A, prevents the terminal fitting 12 from further entering the accommodation chamber 20b. Therefore, in this electric connection box 1, it is easy to keep the hole axis of the male screw insertion hole 12c of the electric connection portion 12b coaxially aligned with the screw axis of the female screw portion 41a of the female screw member 41, and the electric connection portion 12b can be placed on the annular surface 41b of the female screw member 41 while the hole axis and the screw axis are coaxially aligned. Therefore, in this electric connection box 1, the positioning accuracy of the terminal fitting 12 and the female screw member 41 can be further improved, and the operability when screwing the male screw member 42 into the female screw member 41 can be further improved.
[0033] In the electric junction box 1 of this embodiment, the first locking portion 24A, the second locking portion 24B, the third locking portion 24C, and the fourth locking portion 24D also serve as terminal guides that guide the terminal fittings 12 in the cylindrical accommodating portion 23 to the screw-fixed position. Therefore, the electric junction box 1 can easily guide the terminal fittings 12 to the screw-fixed position.
[0034] In addition, in the electric junction box 1 of this embodiment, even after the terminal fitting 12 is fixed by the screws, the terminal fitting 12 is locked by the first locking portion 24A, the second locking portion 24B, the third locking portion 24C, and the fourth locking portion 24D. Therefore, the electric junction box 1 can prevent the terminal fitting 12 from moving relative to the housing chamber 20b or within the cylindrical housing portion 23 when an external input acts on the entire box or when an external input is applied to the electric wire 11 drawn out to the outside. Therefore, the electric junction box 1 can prevent an overload from the terminal fitting 12 to the female screw member 41 or the male screw member 42, thereby improving durability.
[0035] Furthermore, in this exemplary electrical connection box 1, the mating electrical connection member 51 of the electronic component 50 is placed on the electrical connection portion 12b at the screw-fixed position, and this electrical connection portion 12b and the mating electrical connection member 51 are fastened together by the female screw member 41 and the male screw member 42, thereby improving the workability of the fastening work.
