AI Technical Summary
Existing skin and hair care compositions do not adequately suppress inflammatory mediator production, particularly prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), leading to insufficient control over skin inflammation.
A mixture or complex of plant extracts from Centella asiatica roots, leaves, and stems, and Tsuriogi roots is formulated to inhibit PGE2 production, using polyphenols such as syrantolior, which are blended at 0.01 to 95.0% by mass in skin or hair care products.
The formulation effectively suppresses PGE2 production, reducing skin inflammation and maintaining healthy skin conditions by incorporating anti-inflammatory components like glycyrrhizic acid derivatives and allantoin.

Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a skin or hair care topical composition containing a mixture or complex of one or two plant extracts selected from an extract of the flowers, leaves and stems of Centella asiatica and an extract of the roots of Astragalus membranaceus with silanetriol. The skin or hair care topical composition refers to skin care cosmetics such as face washes, lotions, creams and packs, makeup cosmetics such as foundations, lipsticks and mascaras, hair care cosmetics such as shampoos, rinses, hair styling products, hair growth products, hair colors and permanent wave products, body care cosmetics such as body soaps, slimming products, UV care products, bath products and antiperspirants, fragrance cosmetics such as perfumes and colognes, and includes legal cosmetics, quasi-drugs and pharmaceuticals. [Background technology]
[0002] The importance of skin care to maintain healthy skin has been reassessed as people spend more time at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and interest in it is growing among people of all ages and genders.
[0003] The skin is made up of the epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue. The epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin and acts as a barrier against external stimuli and retains moisture. The dermis is located beneath the epidermis and is made up of collagen and elastin, which play a role in the elasticity and strength of the skin.
[0004] Inflammatory reactions, which are one type of skin damage, can be caused by external stimuli such as sunlight, drugs, and house dust, as well as internal factors such as dry skin, excessive sebum secretion, and allergies.
[0005] Inflammatory responses play an important role in restoring and maintaining normal biological functions and structures. However, they can also cause erythema and intolerable pain, so it is desirable to suppress excessive inflammatory responses.
[0006] Since chemical substances called inflammatory mediators are involved in this inflammatory response, various anti-inflammatory ingredients that suppress the production and activity of inflammatory mediators have been researched and are used in topical skin or hair care compositions.
[0007] As a defense against such inflammatory reactions, Patent Document 1 discloses the effect of carboxylic acids having a specific structure in suppressing the production of inflammatory mediators. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0008] [Patent Document 1] JP 2013-199468 A DISCLOSURE OF THEINVENTION [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0009] In the above-mentioned background, research into ingredients having anti-inflammatory effects has progressed, and topical skin or hair care compositions have been developed, but the results to date have not necessarily been satisfactory. [Means for solving the problem]
[0010] The present invention has been made under the above circumstances, and provides a novel skin or hair care topical composition that suppresses the production of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), an inflammatory mediator, and improves skin inflammation by combining a mixture or complex of one or two plant extracts selected from an extract of the flowers, leaves, and stems of Centella asiatica and an extract of the roots of Astragalus membranaceus with silanetriol.
[0011] Claim 1 of the present invention provides a skin or hair care composition for external use, characterized by containing a mixture or complex of one or two plant extracts selected from an extract of the flowers, leaves and stems of Centella asiatica and an extract of the roots of Astragalus membranaceus, and silanetriol.
[0012] Claim 2 of the present invention relates to the skin or hair care external preparation composition according to claim 1, in which the mixture or complex of one or two plant extracts selected from an extract of the flowers, leaves and stems of Centella asiatica and an extract of the roots of Astragalus membranaceus and silanetriol constitutes 0.01 to 95.0 mass %. Effect of the Invention
[0013] The polyphenols contained in the extract of the flowers, leaves and stems of Centella asiatica and the extract of the roots of Astragalus membranaceus of the present invention form a complex with silanetriol, and this complex inhibits the production of PGE2, an inflammatory mediator, thereby suppressing inflammatory reactions and maintaining healthy skin. [Brief description of the drawings]
[0014] [Figure 1] Fig. 1 shows the prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) production inhibitory effect of a mixture or complex of one or two plant extracts selected from the extract of the flowers, leaves and stems of Centella asiatica and the extract of the roots of Astragalus membranaceus of the present invention and silanetriol. It can be seen that when the complex of the present invention (commercially available raw material "Astracinol") is mixed at 0.1% or 0.3%, it inhibits PGE2 production in macrophages activated by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0015] The present invention will be described in detail below. The method for producing the extract of the flowers, leaves and stems of Centella asiatica and the extract of the roots of Astragalus membranaceus used in the present invention is not particularly limited, but it is essential that the extract contains polyphenols.
[0016] The mixture or composite of silantriol and one or two plant extracts selected from the extract of the flowers, leaves and stems of Centella asiatica and the extract of the roots of Astragalus membranaceus used in the present invention is a compound obtained by adding polyphenols derived from at least one of the extracts of the flowers, leaves and stems of Centella asiatica and the extract of the roots of Astragalus membranaceus to silantriol. This is available as a propanediol / water solution under the commercial raw material "ASTRASINOL" from EXSYMOL SAM, Monaco.
[0017] The amount of the mixture or complex of one or two plant extracts selected from the extract of the flower, leaf and stem of Centella asiatica and the extract of the root of Astragalus membranaceus of the present invention and silanetriol is 0.01 to 95.0 mass%, preferably 0.1 to 10.0 mass%, based on the total amount of the skin or hair care topical composition using the above-mentioned commercially available raw materials. When preparing a normal skin or hair care topical composition, if the amount is less than 0.01 mass%, the effect of suppressing the production of inflammatory mediators and suppressing inflammatory reactions in the skin is not exhibited. It is possible to add more than 10.0 mass% up to 95.0 mass%, but this is not preferred because the effect corresponding to the amount gradually becomes saturated.
[0018] The effect of the skin or hair care composition of the present invention is to suppress the production of inflammatory mediators and to suppress inflammation of the skin. Therefore, further effects can be expected by combining the skin or hair care composition of the present invention with an anti-inflammatory ingredient. Examples of such ingredients include glycyrrhizinic acid derivatives, allantoin, plant extracts, etc.
