Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a fire pit. [Background technology]
[0002] When cleaning up a fire pit, people usually perform fire-extinguishing procedures such as directly removing the burning fuel and pouring water on it, which is dangerous but can be put out quickly.Wet remaining fuel is often discarded, and sealed extinguishing is rarely done with the intention of reusing it.
[0003] Although sealed fire extinguishing in a fire pit requires an airtight structure and takes time to extinguish the fire, the sealing process itself takes a short time, the fire can be extinguished without removing the burning materials, and there are other benefits such as easy reuse and reduced waste.Patent Document 1 discloses a double-structure fire pit that can be sealed and extinguished by placing a cylindrical lid over the burning part, and can be carried around by fixing the lid to the burning part with a hook at the bottom.
[0004] Patent Document 2 discloses a charcoal fire starter set that is not a fire pit but has a double structure and a top lid for sealing and extinguishing the fire, in which the size and shape of the two containers that make up the double structure are made similar to each other to improve storage efficiency. Patent Document 3 discloses a fire pit that can burn and extinguish the fire with the burner alone, by using an openable air hole on the bottom side of the burner and a lid that covers the top opening. [0006] If sealed extinguishing is performed using the combustor alone rather than a double structure, an airtight opening and closing structure that matches the shape of the openings at the top and bottom of the combustor is required, and the high-temperature combustor will be left exposed during use and cleanup.
[0007] When using a double structure consisting of a combustor and a storage container for sealed extinguishing, a stable structure can be established by limiting the sealing mechanism to the storage container, and safety is increased by not exposing the high-temperature combustor. For this reason, it is desirable to use a double structure in which the storage container surrounds the bottom and sides of the combustor rather than using the combustor alone during combustion. However, if the sizes of the combustor and storage container are close to each other to ensure the capacity of the combustor and make the storage container more compact, it becomes difficult to set up an air inflow route between the combustor and the storage container, making it difficult to supply air to the lower part of the combustor, which is necessary for combustion.
[0008] Therefore, the present invention proposes a fire pit that can be used without exposing the combustion area by using a burner and storage container that are similar in size, with the storage container being composed of an outer container and a top lid, allowing for a double structure that prevents the high-temperature burner from being exposed, and by providing a mechanism that can supply the air needed for combustion while maintaining a state close to a double structure even during combustion. [Means for solving the problem]
[0009] The metal fire pit of the present invention is a burner having a top surface of the same shape and size as an outer container with a nearly square box-shaped opening on the entire top surface and an attached handle, the burner having the shape of an inverted truncated quadrangular pyramid with trapezoidal sides and open top and bottom, and by storing the burner in the outer container, a top lid can be attached to the top surface with the outer edges overlapping, allowing for sealed extinguishing using a double structure.
[0010] Furthermore, the handle of the outer container is attached to the top of the outer container at a height that does not interfere with the attachment of the top lid, allowing it to be hung stably, without putting strain on the sealing mechanism, and allowing it to be carried without worrying about the contents escaping.
[0011] In addition, the fire pit of claim 2 of the present invention has a burner with a narrow outer flat surface and a slightly high outer edge at the top opening, a mesh plate on the lower inside, a handle on the upper inside, and hooks near the four oblique sides on the upper outside.By lifting and rotating it from the stored position and engaging the four hooks with each side of the opening on the top of the outer container, an air inflow path to the underside of the burner necessary for combustion is secured, and the outer container maintains a state close to a double structure that almost completely surrounds the bottom and sides of the burner, allowing for safer use.
[0012] In addition, the campfire stand of claim 3 of the present invention has a windproof trivet in the shape of a quadrangular pyramid with trapezoidal sides that are open on the top and bottom, with an approximately rectangular fire opening on one of the sides, and by placing the bottom on the outer flat surface of the top of the burner, it is possible to protect the campfire from wind while ensuring the height and capacity of the combustion chamber, and when stored, it can be turned upside down and placed in the gap between the outer container and the burner.
[0013] In addition, the fire pit of claim 4 of the present invention has a grill that is approximately square and can be stored in the upper part of the burner, and in addition to being usable for charcoal cooking, when using the windbreak trivet, cooking utensils can be placed stably on top of the windbreak trivet. Effect of the Invention
[0014] From the above, the fire pit of the present invention has a double structure that allows for safe sealed fire extinguishing, and can reuse the fuel remaining in the burner, reducing unburned waste. In addition, a mechanism is provided that can supply the air necessary for combustion while maintaining a state close to a double structure during combustion, improving safety, and the height and capacity of the combustion chamber are secured by a windproof trivet, increasing the firepower during combustion. In addition, the fire pit of the present invention can always be used without separating the burner and the outer container, and all components can be stored in a storage container consisting of the top lid and the outer container, so space can be saved during use and storage. [0016] Next, an embodiment of the present invention will be described. The fire pit shown in the embodiment is made of metal and is composed of an outer container 1, a top cover 2, a burner 3, a windproof trivet 4, and a grill 5 (Figure 1).
[0017] The outer container 1 is a nearly square box-shaped container with a handle 11 attached to it, and the inside of the container can be sealed by an upper lid 2 that can be airtightly attached to the top of the outer container 1 (Figure 3).
[0018] The handle 11 of the outer container 1 is roughly U-shaped and is rotatably attached starting from a height at the center of the upper part of the two opposing sides of the outer container 1 that does not interfere with the attachment of the top lid, so that the container can be hung and carried by holding the horizontal part of the handle 11 (Figure 3).When not in use as a handle, the handle can be rotated diagonally downward so that the U-shaped shape of the handle 11 fits along the side of the outer container 1, reducing the protrusion of the handle (Figure 1).
[0019] The burner 3 is equipped with a perforated plate section 31 and a handle 32 on the main body. The main body is shaped like an inverted truncated pyramid with trapezoidal sides and open top and bottom. The top is the same shape and size as the top of the outer container 1. The top opening has a narrow outer flat section 33 and a slightly higher outer edge 34. Hooks 35 are provided near the four upper outer oblique sides (Fig. 1). Since the lower part is smaller than the top, the burner 3 is stored in the outer container 1 and the top cover 2 is airtightly attached to the top surface (Fig. 4) where the outer edges are overlapped (Fig. 3). This allows the storage container to surround the burner 3 during combustion, allowing safe sealed extinguishing with a double structure with few steps.
[0020] The perforated plate portion 31 of the combustor 3 is a mesh or porous flat surface attached and fixed slightly above the open lower surface (FIG. 1).
[0021] The combustor 3 is raised and rotated from the storage position to engage the four hooks 35 on each side of the top opening of the outer vessel 1, ensuring an air inflow path to the bottom of the combustor 3 necessary for combustion, while maintaining a state where the outer vessel 1 almost entirely surrounds the bottom and sides of the combustor 3, almost like a double structure, allowing for safer use (Fig. 5).
[0022] The hooks 35 only need to function to stably engage the combustor 3 with each side of the top opening of the outer vessel 1 without interfering with the storage operation or storage state, and there are no limitations on their shape.
[0023] The handle 32 of the burner 3 is roughly U-shaped and is rotatably attached from the center of the upper part of the two opposing sides of the burner 3. This allows the horizontal part of the handle 32 to be held and pulled up with a tool such as fire tongs even during combustion (Figure 2). The convex bend in the center of the horizontal part prevents the holding tool from slipping sideways, and when the handle 32 is rotated to the side, the U-shaped shape fits along the side of the burner 3, reducing the protrusion into the inside of the burner 3 (Figure 1).
[0024] Windbreak trivet 4 is a truncated quadrangular pyramid shape with trapezoidal sides and openings on the top and bottom, with an approximately rectangular fire opening 41 on one of the sides. The square shape of the underside of windbreak trivet 4 is sized to be placed on the outer flat surface 33 of the top opening of burner 3, while the square shape of the top surface is slightly larger than the underside of burner 3. By placing windbreak trivet 4 on the outer flat surface 33 of the top of burner 3 (Figure 6), it is possible to protect the bonfire from wind and ensure the capacity and height of the combustion chamber, thereby increasing the firepower during combustion. When stored, it can be turned upside down and placed in the gap between outer container 1 and burner 3 (Figure 2).
[0025] The grill grate 5 is roughly square and can be stored in the upper part of the burner 3 (Fig. 2). In addition to being usable for charcoal cooking, when the windbreak trivet 4 is in use, it can be placed on top of the trivet 4 (Fig. 6) to provide a stable location for cooking utensils.
[0026] The top cover 2 can be held in one hand by the handle 21, and by holding the center of the top surface, it can be attached and detached without exposing the holding hand to high temperatures (FIG. 2).
[0027] The above-mentioned fire pit can be efficiently stored by placing all the components (windproof trivet 4, burner 3, grill 5) in the outer container 1 in that order, and then putting on the top cover 2. When extinguishing the fire, it can be stored with the burning fuel still inside (Fig. 2).
[0028] The fuel that has been sealed and extinguished in the above-mentioned fire pit can be reused as easily ignited charcoal, and can be taken out and used or stored as is and added to the next batch of fuel, reducing unburned waste and enabling efficient use of fuel. [Explanation of symbols]
