DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0012] Hereinafter, an electronic component transport device according to the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0013] Hereinafter, an embodiment of an electronic component transport device according to the present disclosure will be described. However, the following embodiment is merely an example, and the present invention is not limited to the following embodiment.
[0014] In this embodiment, the terms "above" and "below" refer to the "above" and "below" when the electronic component transport device 10 is disposed as shown in FIG. 1 and FIGS. 2A to 2C.
[0015] First, an electronic component (hereinafter, also referred to as a work) transported by electronic component transport device 10 according to the present disclosure will be described with reference to Fig. 5A and Fig. 5B. Fig. 5A is a side view showing electronic component (work) W, and Fig. 5B is a front view showing electronic component (work) W.
[0016] 5A and 5B, the work W is a capacitor having a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape, for example, a substantially square prism. Specifically, the work W is a multilayer ceramic capacitor having a square prism shape.
[0017] However, in this embodiment, the workpiece W is not limited to a capacitor. In this embodiment, the workpiece W may be a thermistor, an inductor, or the like.
[0018] The workpiece W has an electronic component body W1, which is also formed in a substantially regular square prism shape like the workpiece W. Therefore, in the front view of the workpiece W shown in Fig. 5B, the workpiece W has a substantially square shape.
[0019] The electronic component body W1 is mainly composed of dielectric ceramics to obtain capacitance. Specific examples of dielectric ceramics include BaTiO3, CaTiO3, and SrTiO3. Depending on the characteristics required for the workpiece W, the electronic component body W1 may appropriately contain subcomponents such as Mn compounds, Mg compounds, Si compounds, Fe compounds, Cr compounds, Co compounds, Ni compounds, and rare earth compounds, which are contained in a smaller amount than the main components.
[0020] As shown in FIGS. 5A and 5B, a plurality of internal electrodes W3 are provided as internal conductors inside the electronic component body W1.
[0021] The internal electrodes W3 are alternately stacked along the height direction H, and the internal electrodes W3 face each other in the height direction H with the ceramic portions W4 interposed therebetween.
[0022] Each of the internal electrodes W3 contains a metal, particularly a ferromagnetic metal. Specific examples of the ferromagnetic metal that can be preferably used include Ni, Fe, and an alloy containing at least one of Ni and Fe.
[0023] A pair of external electrodes W2, W2 are provided on both ends of the electronic component body W1.
[0024] Each of the pair of external electrodes W2, W2 contains at least one of, for example, Pt, Au, Ag, Cu, Ni, Cr, and the like.
[0025] Next, an electronic component processing apparatus incorporating the electronic component transport device 10 according to the present disclosure will be described with reference to FIG.
[0026] The electronic component processing device 1 includes an electronic component transport device 10 according to the present disclosure for transporting electronic components (workpieces) W, and an index table 40 connected to the electronic component transport device 10 via a loader unit 42. An electronic component supply device 49 is provided upstream of the electronic component transport device 10 for storing the workpieces W and sending the workpieces W to the electronic component transport device 10.
[0027] 4, the workpiece W is supplied from the electronic component transport device 10 to the index table 40 via the loader unit 42. The workpiece W supplied to the index table 40 is stored in a storage groove 45 provided on the outer periphery of the index table 40. While the index table 40 is rotating, the electrical characteristics of the workpiece W in the storage groove 45 of the index table 40 are first measured by the electronic component measuring device 41. In the electronic component measuring device 41, a measuring probe (not shown) described below is used, and the electrical characteristics of the workpiece W are measured by bringing the measuring probe into contact with the workpiece W.
[0028] Thereafter, as the index table 40 rotates, the top and bottom outer surfaces of the workpiece W in the storage groove 45 are inspected using the top camera 43 and the bottom camera 44 .
[0029] The index table 40 further rotates, and the defective workpieces W are discharged to the outside through the discharge device 46, and only the non-defective workpieces W reach the electronic component insertion device 50.
[0030] In this electronic component insertion device 50, the workpiece W in the storage groove 45 of the index table 40 is adsorbed by an insertion nozzle (not shown), and then the insertion nozzle descends and the workpiece W adsorbed by the insertion nozzle is inserted into the recess 5a of the carrier tape 5.
[0031] After the workpieces W are placed in the recessed portion 5a, the top tape 6 is placed on the carrier tape 5. Next, the top tape 6 is adhered onto the carrier tape 5 by the iron unit 53, and the recessed portion 5a of the carrier tape 5 is sealed by the top tape 6. Thereafter, the carrier tape 5 with the recessed portion 5a sealed by the top tape 6 is discharged to the outside.
[0032] Next, an electronic component conveying device 10 according to the present disclosure incorporated in such an electronic component processing device 1 will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3B and 6. FIG.
[0033] 1 to 6, the electronic component transport device 10 transports a workpiece W. In this case, the workpiece W is formed in a substantially square prism shape as described above and has an axis L. The electronic component transport device 10 transports the workpiece W along the axis L.
[0034] 1, such an electronic component transport device 10 comprises an apparatus body 11 and an auxiliary member 12 attached to the apparatus body 11. The apparatus body 11 and the auxiliary member 12 form an upstream passage (hereinafter also referred to as a first passage) 21 for transporting the workpiece W, a posture changing passage (hereinafter also referred to as a second passage) 22 connected to the first passage 21 for rotating the workpiece W about an axis L to change the posture of the workpiece W, and a downstream passage (hereinafter also referred to as a third passage) 23 connected to the second passage 22 for transporting the workpiece W.
[0035] Of these, the first passage 21 transports the workpiece W supplied from the electronic component supply device 49 to the second passage 22 side, and the third passage 23 transports the workpiece W after its posture is changed by the second passage 22 to the index table 40 side.
[0036] The workpiece W is transported in the electronic component transport device 10 along the transport direction L1 through a first passage 21, a second passage 22 and a third passage 23.
[0037] In this embodiment, the axis L of the workpiece W coincides with the conveying direction L1 of the electronic component conveying device .
[0038] Further, a pair of magnetic force generating units 30A, 30B are provided on the outside of the device body 11 and the auxiliary member 12, i.e., on the outside in a direction perpendicular to the conveying direction L1, in a portion corresponding to the second passage 22 so as to sandwich the device body 11 and the auxiliary member 12. Each magnetic force generating unit 30A is made of a magnet having an N pole and an S pole. The pair of magnetic force generating units 30A, 30B will be described later.
[0039] In the present embodiment, an example in which a pair of magnetic force generating units 30A and 30B are provided has been shown, but the magnetic force generating unit may be, for example, only one magnetic force generating unit 30A.
[0040] Next, the first passage 21, the second passage 22 and the third passage 23 of the electronic device transport device 10 will be described with reference to FIGS. 2A to 2C.
[0041] First, as shown in Fig. 2A, which is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA in Fig. 1, the first passage 21 has a V-shape 15 in cross section formed in the device body 11, and this V-shape 15 includes a pair of contact surfaces 15a that come into contact with the outer surface of the workpiece W. The cross section of the V-shape 15 of the first passage 21 enables the approximately square prism-shaped workpiece W to be transported while being accurately positioned.
[0042] Furthermore, the first passage 21 has a relief groove 16 at the lower end of the V-shape 15 .
[0043] As described above, the workpiece W has a square shape when viewed from the front. In addition, to match the square shape of the workpiece W, the pair of contact surfaces 15a, 15a of the V-shape 15 also have an angle of 90° between them.
[0044] However, depending on the forming accuracy of the first passage 21, the angle between the pair of contact surfaces 15a, 15a may not be exactly 90°. In this case, a gap may be generated between the outer surface of the workpiece W and the pair of contact surfaces 15a, 15a, and the workpiece W may rattle between the pair of contact surfaces 15a, 15a.
[0045] In this embodiment, by providing an escape groove 16 at the lower end of the first passage 21 having a V-shaped cross section 15, the lower end of the workpiece W can be inserted into this escape groove 16, thereby suppressing rattling of the workpiece W within the first passage 21.
[0046] The relief groove 16 provided at the lower end of the V-shape 15 may be provided so as to extend downward at the lower end of the V-shape 15 (see the solid line in FIG. 2A).
[0047] Alternatively, the relief groove 16 may be provided at the lower end of the V-shape 15 so as to extend in parallel from one of the contact surfaces 15a (see the dashed line in FIG. 2A).
[0048] Next, as shown in Fig. 2C, which is a cross-sectional view of line CC in Fig. 1, the third passage 23 has a V-shape 17 in cross section formed in the device body 11, and this V-shape 17 includes a pair of contact surfaces 17a that contact the outer surface of the workpiece W. The cross section of the V-shape 17 of the third passage 23 makes it possible to transport the approximately square prism-shaped workpiece W while accurately positioning it.
[0049] Furthermore, the third passage 23 has an escape groove 18 at the lower end of the V-shape 17 .
[0050] As described above, the workpiece W has a square shape when viewed from the front. In addition, to match the square shape of the workpiece W, the pair of contact surfaces 17a, 17a of the V-shape 17 also have an angle of 90° between them.
[0051] However, depending on the forming accuracy of the third passage 23, the angle between the pair of contact surfaces 17a, 17a may not be exactly 90°. In this case, a gap may be generated between the outer surface of the workpiece W and the pair of contact surfaces 17a, 17a, causing the workpiece W to rattle between the pair of contact surfaces 17a, 17a.
[0052] In this embodiment, by providing an escape groove 18 at the lower end of the third passage 23 having a V-shaped cross section 17, the lower end of the workpiece W can be inserted into this escape groove 18, thereby suppressing rattling of the workpiece W within the first passage 21.
[0053] The relief groove 18 provided at the lower end of the V-shape 17 may be provided so as to extend downward at the lower end of the V-shape 17 (see the solid line in FIG. 2C).
[0054] Alternatively, the relief groove 18 may be provided at the lower end of the V-shape so as to extend in parallel from one of the contact surfaces 17a (see the dashed line in FIG. 2C).
[0055] Next, we will describe the second passage 22. As shown in Fig. 2B, which is a cross-sectional view taken along line BB in Fig. 1, the second passage 22 has a circular portion 25 whose cross section is formed in the device body 11, and this circular portion 25 has a guide surface 25a that supports and guides the outer surface of the workpiece W when the workpiece W rotates about the axis L.
[0056] 2B shows a virtual circle 26 surrounding the workpiece W when the workpiece W rotates around the axis L. This virtual circle 26 is a circle with a diameter that is approximately the same as the length of the diagonal L2 of the workpiece W. Specifically, the diameter of the virtual circle 26 is slightly longer than the length of the diagonal L2 of the workpiece W, and is diagonal L2 × (1.05 to 1.08). In this embodiment, the circular portion 25 of the second passage 22 extends over 180° or more of this virtual circle 26.
[0057] Next, a connection structure between the first passage 21 and the second passage 22 and a connection structure between the second passage 22 and the third passage 23 will be described with reference to Figs. 3A and 3B.
[0058] First, for convenience of explanation, the connection structure between the second passage 22 and the third passage 23 will be described with reference to FIG. 3B.
[0059] As shown in FIG. 3B, in the second passage 22, the workpiece W rotates about the axis L due to the magnetic forces generated by the pair of magnetic force generators 30A, 30B.
[0060] In this case, if the posture of the workpiece W is changed so that it completely matches the V-shape 17 of the third passage 23 in the second passage 22, the workpiece W in the second passage 22 can be smoothly transferred to the third passage 23.
[0061] However, it is practically difficult for the second passage 22 to completely match the V-shape of the third passage 23 .
[0062] Therefore, in this embodiment, at the second passage side end 23A of the third passage 23, the V-shape of the third passage 23 has a V-shape 17A formed by a tangent to the circular portion 25 of the second passage 22 (see solid line in Figure 3B).
[0063] As shown in FIG. 1, the V-shape of the third passage 23 gradually rises downstream from the starting end 23B1 of the transition region 23B of the third passage 23, i.e., the second passage side end 23A, and at the end 23B2 of the transition region 23B, the lower end of the V-shape reaches an extension of the lower end of the circular portion 25 of the second passage 22, forming a V-shape 17B (see dashed line in FIG. 3B).
[0064] In this way, in the third passage 23, the V-shape gradually rises from the V-shape 17A at the start of the transition region 23B, i.e., the second passage side end 23A, toward the upstream side, and changes to a V-shape 17B at the end 23B2 of the transition region 23B, where the lower end of the V-shape reaches an extension line of the lower end of the circular portion 25 of the second passage 22. As a result, the workpiece W, which has been rotated around the axis L in the second passage 22 and changed in position, can be smoothly sent into the third passage 23 without coming into contact with the wall surface 27 that forms the V-shape of the third passage 23. Then, by gradually raising the workpiece W in the third passage 23, the workpiece W can be returned to the height of the existing equipment.
[0065] In this embodiment, in the transition region 23B of the third passage 23, the V-shape 17A is gradually raised to the V-shape 17B to perform the height adjustment.
[0066] Next, the connection structure between the first passage 21 and the second passage 22 will be described with reference to FIG. 3A.
[0067] As shown in FIG. 3A, in the second passage 22, the workpiece W rotates about an axis L due to the magnetic forces generated by the pair of magnetic force generators 30A, 30B.
[0068] In this embodiment, the V-shape of the first passage 21 has a V-shape 15A formed by a tangent to the circular portion 25 of the second passage 22 at the starting end 21B1 of the transition region 21B (see dashed line in FIG. 3A).
[0069] As shown in FIG. 1, the V-shape of the first passage 21 gradually rises downstream from the starting end 23B1 of the transition region 21B of the first passage 21, and at the end 21B2 of the transition region 21B of the first passage 21, i.e., the second passage side end 21A, the lower end of the V-shape forms a V-shape 15B that coincides with the lower end of the circular portion 25 of the second passage 22 (see solid line in FIG. 3A).
[0070] In this way, in the first passage 21, the V-shape gradually rises from the V-shape 15A at the start 21B1 of the transition region 21B of the first passage 21 toward the upstream side, and changes to a V-shape 15B at the end 21B2 of the transition region 21B, i.e., the second passage side end 21A, where the lower end of the V-shape coincides with the lower end of the circular portion 25 of the second passage 22. This allows the workpiece W positioned in the rotational direction by the V-shape of the first passage 21 to be accurately sent into the second passage 22. Then, by gradually raising the workpiece W in the first passage 21, the height of the existing equipment can be utilized to send the workpiece W into the second passage 22.
[0071] In this embodiment, in the transition region 21B of the first passage 21, the V-shape 15A is gradually raised to the V-shape 15B to perform the height adjustment.
[0072] Next, the operation of this embodiment having the above configuration will be described.
[0073] First, the workpiece W is supplied from the electronic component supply device 49, and the workpiece W supplied from the electronic component supply device 49 is transported while being subjected to vibration by the electronic component transport device 10. Thereafter, the workpiece W transported by the electronic component transport device 10 is sent to the index table 40.
[0074] During this time, the workpiece W is sent into the electronic component conveying device 10 and conveyed while being accurately positioned in the rotational direction by the V-shaped portion 15 of the first passage 21, and passes through the transition area 21B of the first passage 21 and enters the second passage 22.
[0075] At this time, at the second passage side end 21A of the first passage 21, the lower end of the V-shape 15 coincides with the lower end of the circular portion 25 of the second passage 22, so that the workpiece W positioned in the rotational direction by the V-shape 15 of the first passage 21 can be smoothly guided into the second passage 22 (see Figure 3A).
[0076] The workpiece W has an internal electrode W3, which has ferromagnetic properties. Therefore, the position of the workpiece W in the second passage 22 is changed so that the surface direction of the internal electrode W3 coincides with the direction of the magnetic field lines 35 generated by the pair of magnetic force generators 30A, 30B.
[0077] 6, when the surface of the internal electrode W3 of the workpiece W in the second passage 22 faces the horizontal direction, the workpiece W rotates around the axis L due to the magnetic forces generated by the pair of magnetic force generators 30A, 30B. At this time, the workpiece W is guided by the guide surface 25a of the circular portion 25 of the second passage 22 and rotates 90°, and its posture is changed so that the surface of the internal electrode W3 coincides with the direction of the magnetic field lines 35, that is, the surface of the internal electrode W3 facing the horizontal direction faces the vertical direction as shown in FIG.
[0078] On the other hand, in FIG. 6, when the surface of the internal electrode W3 of the workpiece W is already aligned with the direction of the magnetic field lines 35, i.e., when the surface of the internal electrode W3 is oriented vertically as shown in FIG. 6, the workpiece W in the second passage is sent directly to the third passage 23 without rotating around the axis L.
[0079] In this case, at the second passage side end 23A of the third passage 23, the V-shape of the third passage 23 has a V-shape 17A formed by a tangent to the circular portion 25 of the second passage 22 (see solid line in FIG. 3B). The V-shape of the third passage 23 gradually rises toward the downstream side in the transition region 23B of the third passage 23, and at the end 23B2 of the transition region 23B, the lower end of the V-shape has a V-shape 17B that reaches an extension of the lower end of the circular portion 25 of the second passage 22 (see dashed line in FIG. 3B).
[0080] Therefore, the work W in the second passage 22 can be smoothly sent into the third passage 23 without coming into contact with the wall surface 27 that forms the V-shape of the third passage 23. Thereafter, the work W can be gradually raised in the third passage 23 to return to the height of the existing equipment.
[0081] In addition, after the workpiece W is rotated around the axis L in the second passage 22 to change its posture, the workpiece W is sent to the third passage 23, and the V-shape 17 forming the cross section of the third passage 23 ensures that the workpiece W is positioned in the rotational direction.
[0082] As described above, according to this embodiment, the workpiece W can be accurately positioned in the first passage 21 of the electronic component conveying device 10 in the rotational direction around the axis L by the V-shaped cross-section 15, and the workpiece W accurately positioned by the V-shaped cross-section 15 of the first passage 21 can be reliably sent into the second passage 22.
[0083] Furthermore, within the second passage 22, the workpiece W rotates around the axis L and its posture is changed so that the surface direction of its internal electrode W3 coincides with the direction of the magnetic lines of force 35 generated by the pair of magnetic force generating units 30A, 30B, so that the postures of all the workpieces W within the second passage 22 can be aligned so that they face in a certain direction.
[0084] In this way, in the second passage 22, the workpiece W, whose posture has been changed by rotating about the axis L and whose posture has been aligned, is sent into the third passage 23. The V-shape 17 of the third passage 23 allows the workpiece W to be accurately positioned in the rotation direction about the axis L.
[0085] Therefore, compared to a case where the workpiece W is rotated by the second passage 22 including the circular portion 25 and the rotated workpiece W is subsequently transported by the second passage 22 including the circular portion 25, the workpiece W whose attitude has been changed in the rotational direction by the second passage 22 can be accurately positioned in the rotational direction by the V-shaped portion 17 of the third passage. Therefore, the workpiece W rotated by the second passage 22 can be transported by the third passage 23 while maintaining its attitude.
[0086] At the second passage side end 23A of the third passage 23, the V-shape of the third passage 23 has a V-shape 17A formed by a tangent to the circular portion 25 of the second passage 22. Therefore, the workpiece W in the second passage 22 can be smoothly fed into the third passage 23 without coming into contact with the wall surface 27 forming the V-shape 17 of the third passage 23.
[0087] Furthermore, by providing an escape groove 16 at the lower end of the V-shape 15 of the first passage 21, the lower end of the workpiece W can be inserted into the escape groove 16. This makes it possible to suppress rattling of the workpiece W in the first passage 21.
[0088] Furthermore, by providing an escape groove 18 at the lower end of the V-shape 17 of the third passage 23, the lower end of the workpiece W can be inserted into the escape groove 18. This makes it possible to suppress rattling of the workpiece W in the third passage 23. [Explanation of symbols]
