Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a striker cover structure provided on a striker for a trunk lid of a vehicle. [Background technology]

[0002] Conventionally, large buses have a trunk under the floor of the bus, and are configured to store passenger luggage. The opening of the trunk is provided on the side of the bus body, and is opened and closed by a swing-type trunk lid. When the trunk is closed, the opening is closed by the trunk lid, and when the trunk is opened, the trunk lid is pulled up and outward in the vehicle width direction relative to the opening (see Patent Document 1). Also, a structure for holding the trunk lid in a closed state is known in which a protruding striker protrudes downward from the upper edge of the opening, and when the trunk lid is in a closed state, the striker engages with a catcher provided at the upper end of the trunk lid. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2019-6214 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] However, with the structure that provides the above-mentioned striker, when the trunk lid is open, the striker protrudes downward from the upper edge of the opening and is exposed and not covered. This means that when a worker is putting luggage in or taking luggage out of the trunk, the worker is likely to interfere with the striker, which may give the worker the impression that they may be harmed (a sense of danger). Therefore, one of the purposes of the striker cover structure of this invention is to prevent an operator from interfering with the striker that protrudes downward from the upper edge of the opening when the trunk lid is open. [Means for solving the problem]

[0005] The present invention has been made to solve at least part of the above problems, and can be realized in the following aspects or application examples.

[0006] The striker cover structure according to this application example is a striker cover structure provided in a trunk structure having a luggage storage space disposed under a floor of a vehicle, an opening communicating the inside and the outside of the luggage storage space provided in a side surface of a vehicle body of the vehicle, and a trunk lid attached to the side surface of the vehicle body and opening and closing the opening, the striker having a protrusion protruding downward from an upper edge of the opening of the trunk room and engaging with a catcher provided at an upper end of the trunk lid when the trunk lid is in a closed state, and a striker cover structure disposed adjacent to the striker on the inner side in the vehicle width direction at the upper edge of the opening and supported so as to be freely swingable in the vehicle width direction. the cover member is disposed in a cover position that covers the striker from three sides, the inside, the bottom, and the outside in the vehicle width direction, when the trunk lid is in an open state, and is pushed further inward in the vehicle width direction than the cover position by the trunk lid when the trunk lid is in a closed state; a lighting member that is disposed on the cover member and illuminates the interior of the luggage storage space of the trunk compartment; and a detection member that is disposed adjacent to the cover member on the inside in the vehicle width direction at the upper edge of the opening, and comes into contact with the cover member when the trunk lid is closed and moves away from the cover member when the trunk lid is open, thereby detecting the opening and closing of the trunk lid.

[0007] According to this striker cover structure, the above-mentioned cover member is provided, so that when the trunk lid is open, the cover member can cover the striker protruding downward from the upper edge of the opening from three sides, namely the inside, bottom and outside in the vehicle width direction. Therefore, the striker can be protected by the cover member when the trunk lid is in the open state, thereby preventing an operator from interfering with the striker.

[0008] Furthermore, a lighting member is provided on the cover member, and a detection member arranged adjacent to the cover member detects the opening and closing of the trunk lid based on the contact / non-contact (separation) of the cover member. Therefore, the trunk structure's auxiliary equipment, such as the opening / closing detection function and the lighting function, can be integrated into the cover member, streamlining the trunk structure configuration. This contributes to reducing the number of parts and costs. This rationalization of the trunk structure configuration is made possible by the fact that the striker cover member is shaped to cover three sides, namely the inside, bottom, and outside in the vehicle width direction, and is supported so that it can swing in the vehicle width direction. Effect of the Invention

[0009] The striker cover structure of this invention can prevent interference between the striker that protrudes downward from the upper edge of the opening when the trunk lid is open and the worker. In addition, the trunk lid opening / closing detection function and lighting function are concentrated in the cover member, making it possible to rationalize the configuration of the trunk structure. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0010] [Figure 1] 1A and 1B are explanatory diagrams of a striker cover structure according to an application example and a trunk structure to which this striker cover structure is applied. [Diagram 2] FIG. 2 is an enlarged perspective view showing the striker cover structure of FIG. 1. [Diagram 3] 1A is a side view of the striker cover structure when the trunk lid is in an open state, and FIG. 1B is a side view of the striker cover structure when the trunk lid is in a closed state. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0011] The embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The following embodiments are merely examples, and are not intended to exclude the application of various modifications and techniques not specified in the embodiments. The configurations of the following embodiments can be modified in various ways without departing from the spirit of the embodiments. In addition, they can be selected or combined as necessary.

[0012] Hereinafter, the front-rear direction of a vehicle to which the striker cover structure according to this embodiment is applied is also referred to as the vehicle length direction, and the left-right direction of the vehicle is also referred to as the vehicle width direction. The up-down direction perpendicular to both the front-rear direction and the left-right direction is also referred to as the vehicle height direction. The left-right direction is defined based on the forward facing posture of the vehicle. In the drawings, the front is indicated by "FR", the rear is indicated by "RR", the left is indicated by "LH", the right is indicated by "RH", the top is indicated by "UP", and the bottom is indicated by "DW".

[0013] [1. Configuration] Fig. 1 is an explanatory diagram of a striker cover structure 10 according to this embodiment and a bus 1 to which the striker cover structure 10 is applied, and is a cross-sectional view seen from the front of the vehicle. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the striker cover structure 10. Note that a part of the bus 1 is omitted in Figs. 1 and 2. A bus 1 is an example of a vehicle to which the striker cover structure 10 is applied. Fig. 1 shows a cross-section of a part of the left side of the bus 1 viewed from the front to the rear. An example of the bus 1 is a large bus 1 capable of transporting a large number of passengers. The bus 1 is provided with a trunk structure 4 including a trunk compartment 2 provided under the floor of a passenger compartment (not shown) inside the vehicle body, and a trunk lid 3 that opens and closes an opening 2A of the trunk compartment 2.

[0014] The trunk 2 has a luggage storage space 2B disposed under the floor inside. The luggage storage space 2B is a luggage space for storing passengers' luggage and the like, and is a space formed by a first panel 5U and a second panel 5D that constitute part of the body of the bus 1. The first panel 5U is, for example, a panel that covers the floor surface of the passenger compartment (not shown). The second panel 5D is a panel provided between the front wheels and the rear wheels 6 (not shown).

[0015] An opening 2A that communicates the inside and outside of this luggage storage space 2B is provided in a body side surface 1A of the bus 1. The opening 2A is formed in a rectangular shape, for example, when viewed from the side in the vehicle width direction. The opening 2A serves as an opening for loading and unloading luggage into and from the luggage storage space 2B. The vertical position of an upper edge 7U of the opening 2A is set to be substantially the same as the ceiling surface of the luggage storage space 2B, and the vertical position of a lower edge 7D of the opening 2A is set to be substantially the same as the floor surface of the luggage storage space 2B. Note that substantially the same does not only mean the same, but also means that they are not the same but can be considered to be the same.

[0016] The trunk compartment 2 may be structured, for example, such that the luggage storage space 2B is formed as a space connecting the left side (body side surface 1A shown in Figure 1) and the right side of the bus 1, and openings 2A are provided on both the left and right sides of the bus 1. In this case, a worker who puts luggage in or takes luggage out of luggage storage space 2B can access the inside of luggage storage space 2B from either the left or right side of bus 1.

[0017] The trunk lid 3 is an openable / closable lid that closes the opening 2A to isolate the inside and outside of the luggage storage space 2B. The trunk lid 3 is formed of a panel member having a contour shape (e.g., rectangular) that follows the opening 2A, and when the trunk lid 3 is in a closed state, it fits into the opening 2A and forms part of the body side surface 1A of the bus 1. In Fig. 1, the trunk lid 3 drawn with a solid line is in an open state with the opening 2A open, and the trunk lid 3 drawn with a dashed line is in a closed state with the opening 2A closed.

[0018] The trunk lid 3 is attached to the vehicle body so as to be displaceable (capable of opening and closing) between the above-mentioned open and closed states via arm members 8. Specifically, the arm members 8 are attached to both end portions 3A (only one of which is shown in FIG. 1) in the front-rear direction of the trunk lid 3. Note that FIG. 1 shows an example in which each arm member 8 at both end portions 3A has two arms spaced apart from each other above and below.

[0019] A pillar 9 is provided on the vehicle body side surface 1A side, standing between an upper edge 7U and a lower edge 7D of the opening 2A, as a base for supporting the trunk lid 3. A pair of pillars 9 are provided corresponding to both ends 3A of the trunk lid 3, but only one of them is shown in FIG. One end of the arm member 8 is supported so as to be freely swingable with respect to a pillar 9. The other end of the arm member 8 is supported so as to be freely swingable on the rear surface of the trunk lid 3 (the surface facing inward in the vehicle width direction).

[0020] When the trunk lid 3 is opened from the closed state shown by the dashed line in Fig. 1, the trunk lid 3 swings outward and upward in the vehicle width direction from a position where the opening 2A is closed, and moves to the open state shown by the solid line in Fig. 1. At this time, the vertical position of the lower end portion 3D of the trunk lid 3 is set above the upper edge portion 7U of the opening 2A. Therefore, in a side view, the lower end portion 3D of the trunk lid 3 does not overlap the upper edge portion 7U of the opening 2A in the open state, so that the entire opening 2A can be opened. This is advantageous in that it allows wider access to the inside of the luggage storage space 2B.

[0021] When the trunk lid 3 is closed from the open state shown by the solid line in FIG. 1, the trunk lid 3 swings inwardly and downwardly in the vehicle width direction from the above-mentioned open state to the closed state shown by the dashed line in FIG. 1 swings in the vehicle width direction to open and close, it can be said to be a swing-type trunk lid 3. Note that a biasing member (not shown) such as a gas spring may be attached to the arm member 8 to bias and support the trunk lid 3 in the opening direction.

[0022] Furthermore, a plurality of trunk lids 3 may be provided for the opening 2A of the luggage storage space 2B. That is, in a side view seen from the vehicle width direction, a plurality of trunk lids 3 may be arranged side by side in the vehicle front-rear direction, and the opening 2A of the luggage storage space 2B may be closed by the plurality of trunk lids 3. In this case, the arm member 8 and pillar 9 are provided corresponding to each trunk lid 3. A striker 11 and a striker cover structure 10, which will be described later, are also provided corresponding to each trunk lid 3.

[0023] A striker 11 and a catcher 12 are provided as a structure for holding the trunk lid 3, which swings open and closed, in a closed state. The striker 11 is attached to the center of the opening 2A in the vehicle front-rear direction, and is a protruding member protruding downward from the upper edge portion 7U. The catcher 12 is provided at the upper end 3U of the trunk lid 3, and is a member that engages with the striker 11 and maintains this engaged state. The catcher 12 has a bifurcated opening and closing mechanism, and the opening and closing mechanism is opened and closed by pulling an opening and closing handle (not shown) provided on the outer surface of the trunk lid 3, thereby engaging and disengaging the striker 11. The catcher 12 is disposed in a position where the striker 11 can engage with the catcher 12 when the trunk lid 3 is in a closed state. When the trunk lid 3 is in a closed state, the striker 11 engages with the catcher 12, and the trunk lid 3 is maintained in a closed state.

[0024] As shown in FIG. 1, the striker 11 protrudes downward from an upper edge 7U of the opening 2A, and is provided in an exposed state without being blocked by other members around the periphery except for the upper surface side. As described above, the opening 2A serves as an opening for loading and unloading luggage and the like into and from the luggage storage space 2B, and therefore the areas located on three sides (three faces) of the striker 11, the outer and inner sides in the vehicle width direction, and the underside, are located on the movement line of workers performing loading and unloading operations. Therefore, it is desirable to not expose the striker 11 and not directly interfere with the workers at least on three sides (three faces) of the striker 11, the outer and inner sides in the vehicle width direction, and the underside. For this reason, the trunk structure 4 in FIG. 1 is provided with a striker cover structure 10 for preventing direct interference between the striker 11 and the worker.

[0025] The striker cover structure 10 includes a striker 11 to be covered, and a cover member 13 for covering the striker 11. Fig. 2 is a perspective view for explaining the striker cover structure 10, in which the trunk lid 3 and a part of the trunk structure 4 are omitted. 1 and 2, the cover member 13 is disposed adjacent to the striker 11 on the inside in the vehicle width direction at an upper edge portion 7U of the opening 2A, and is supported so as to be able to swing freely along the vehicle width direction relative to the upper edge portion 7U via a swing fulcrum 14. Note that a biasing member (not shown) such as a spring may be attached to the swing fulcrum 14 of the cover member 13, so that the cover member 13 is constantly biased outward in the vehicle width direction.

[0026] The cover member 13 is a member that covers the striker 11 from three sides, the inside and outside in the vehicle width direction, and the bottom side. Specifically, the cover member 13 is provided with a first surface portion 13A extending downward from an upper edge portion 7U, a second surface portion 13B extending outward in the vehicle width direction from a lower end of the first surface portion 13A, and a third surface portion 13C extending upward from a tip end on the outer side in the vehicle width direction of the second surface portion 13B. The striker 11 shown in Figures 1 and 2 is, for example, a member whose cross section when viewed along the front-to-rear direction is formed in a J-shape, and is formed, for example, from a J-shaped sheet metal member and a rubber member covering the sheet metal member.

[0027] The first surface portion 13A is disposed on the inner side of the striker 11 in the vehicle width direction so as to overlap the entire striker 11 when viewed from the inner side to the outer side in the vehicle width direction, and covers the inner side in the vehicle width direction of the striker 11. The lower end of the first surface portion 13A is located lower than the lower end of the striker 11. A swing fulcrum 14 is provided at the upper end of the first surface portion 13A. The second surface portion 13B is disposed below the striker 11 so as to overlap the entire striker 11 when viewed from below the striker 11, and covers the underside of the striker 11. An outer tip of the second surface portion 13B in the vehicle width direction extends outward in the vehicle width direction beyond the striker 11. The third surface portion 13C is disposed on the outer side of the striker 11 in the vehicle width direction so as to overlap at least a part of the lower end side of the striker 11 when viewed from the outer side to the inner side in the vehicle width direction, and covers the outer side in the vehicle width direction of the striker 11. An upper end of the third surface portion 13C is located in the middle part of the striker 11 in the up-down direction.

[0028] This cover member 13 is provided with an LED lamp 15 (illumination member) that illuminates the luggage storage space 2B of the trunk compartment 2, and a detection switch 16 (detection member) that detects whether the trunk lid 3 is opened or closed. The LED irradiation lamp 15 and the detection switch 16 are electrical accessories attached to the trunk structure 4, and are electrically connected to a power source (not shown) and a control device (not shown).

[0029] The LED irradiation lamp 15 is a lamp that is turned on when the trunk compartment 2 is in use, i.e., when the trunk lid 3 is open. The LED irradiation lamp 15 is provided on the downward facing surface of the second surface portion 13B of the cover member 13. The LED irradiation lamp 15 shown in Fig. 2 is embedded in the downward facing surface of the second surface portion 13B. The detection switch 16 is disposed adjacent to the cover member 13 on the inner side in the vehicle width direction at the upper edge 7U of the opening 2A, and has a switch portion 16B extending downward from a main body portion 16A of the detection switch 16 attached to the upper edge 7U.

[0030] The switch portion 16B is provided so as to come into contact with the first surface portion 13A of the cover member 13 when the trunk lid 3 is closed, and to be separated (out of contact) from the first surface portion 13A of the cover member 13 when the trunk lid 3 is open. The detection switch 16 detects the opening / closing of the trunk lid 3 depending on whether the first surface portion 13A (cover member 13) is in contact with the switch portion 16B, and outputs a detection signal. The detection signal output from the detection switch 16 is transmitted to a control device (not shown) as information indicating the open / closed state of the trunk lid 3. This detection signal can be used as an on / off signal for switching the LED illumination lamp 15 on / off.

[0031] FIG. 3(A) is an explanatory diagram of the striker cover structure 10 when the trunk lid 3 is in an open state, and FIG. 3(B) is an explanatory diagram of the striker cover structure 10 when the trunk lid 3 is in a closed state. As shown in Figure 3(A), when the trunk lid 3 is in the open state, the cover member 13 is in a position in which the first surface portion 13A hangs down from the upper edge portion 7U, and the first surface portion 13A, the second surface portion 13B and the third surface portion 13C are positioned in a covering position in which the striker 11 is covered from three sides, the inside and outside in the vehicle width direction and the underside.

[0032] 3(A), when the cover member 13 is disposed in the cover position, the first surface portion 13A of the cover member 13 is separated from (not in contact with) the switch portion 16B, so that the detection switch 16 detects that the trunk lid 3 is in the open state. At this time, the LED illumination lamp 15 is turned on in response to a detection signal from the detection switch 16. In addition, because the second surface portion 13B of the cover member 13 faces downward, the LED irradiation lamp 15 can illuminate the area extending from the vicinity of the opening 2A to the luggage storage space 2B of the trunk chamber 2. Therefore, it is possible to illuminate the area from the feet where luggage is being loaded and unloaded at the opening 2A to the area where luggage is being loaded and unloaded. This contributes to ensuring safety during loading and unloading operations and improving convenience when using the trunk chamber 2. In addition, because the LED irradiation lamp 15 is provided on the cover member 13, existing lighting fixtures arranged in the luggage storage space can be eliminated.

[0033] 3(B), the trunk lid 3 moves inwardly and downwardly in the vehicle width direction from the open position as shown by the outline arrow in the figure. The back surface of the trunk lid 3 moving in this manner pushes the upper end of the third surface portion 13C of the cover member 13 inwardly in the vehicle width direction as shown by the outline arrow in the figure. As the cover member 13 moves inwardly in the vehicle width direction from the above-mentioned covering position, the striker 11 is no longer covered, and engages with a catcher 12 (shown by a dashed line in the figure) provided at the upper end portion 3U of the trunk lid 3. 3(A) from the closed state of Fig. 3(B) to the open state of Fig. 3(A), the cover member 13 automatically returns to the cover position shown in Fig. 3(A) due to its own weight and the biasing force of a biasing member (not shown) attached to the swing fulcrum 14. Therefore, even though the structure is such that the periphery of the striker 11 is covered with the cover member 13, the cover member 13 does not interfere with the opening and closing operation of the trunk lid 3 or the engagement of the striker 11 with the catcher 12.

[0034] 3(B), when the trunk lid 3 is in the closed state, the first surface 13A of the cover member 13 contacts the switch portion 16B, and the switch portion 16B is pushed upward (indicated by the outlined arrow in the figure). This causes the detection switch 16 to detect that the trunk lid 3 is in the closed state. The LED illumination lamp 15 is turned off in response to the detection signal from the detection switch 16. Since the first surface portion 13A of the cover member 13 functions as a contact plate that contacts and separates from the switch portion 16B of the detection switch 16 in response to the opening and closing of the trunk lid 3, there is no need for a dedicated plate for pushing in the switch portion 16B. Therefore, the number of parts can be reduced compared to the conventional technology in which a dedicated plate for pushing in the switch portion 16B is provided.

[0035] [2. Effects] The striker cover structure 10 according to the present embodiment described above provides the following operational effects. The striker cover structure 10 according to this application example is provided with a cover member 13 that is disposed adjacent to the striker 11 on the inner side in the vehicle width direction at the upper edge portion 7U of the opening 2A and is supported so as to be able to swing freely in the vehicle width direction. When the trunk lid 3 is in the open state, this cover member 13 is disposed in a covering position that covers the striker 11 from three sides, namely, the inner side, the lower side, and the outer side in the vehicle width direction. Therefore, when the trunk lid 3 is open, the striker 11 protruding downward from the upper edge portion 7U of the opening 2A is covered from three sides, namely, the inner side, the lower side, and the outer side in the vehicle width direction, by the cover member 13, so that the striker 11 can be surrounded by the cover member 13. This makes it possible to prevent an operator from interfering with the striker 11.

[0036] Furthermore, an LED lamp 15 that illuminates the luggage storage space 2B is attached to the second surface 13B of the cover member 13, and a detection switch 16 is disposed adjacent to the cover member 13 to detect the opening and closing of the trunk lid 3 based on the contact / non-contact (separation) of the first surface 13A of the cover member 13. Therefore, the ancillary equipment of the trunk structure 4, such as an opening / closing detection function and a lighting function, can be integrated into the cover member 13, streamlining the configuration of the trunk structure 4. This contributes to reducing the number of parts and costs. Such rationalization of the configuration of the trunk structure 4 is made possible by the fact that the cover member 13 of the striker 11 is shaped to cover three sides, namely the inside, bottom, and outside in the vehicle width direction, and is supported so as to be able to swing in the vehicle width direction.

[0037] [3.Others] The shape of the cover member 13 is not limited to the above-mentioned shape, and may be any shape as long as it covers the striker 11 from three sides, the inside, the lower side, and the outside in the vehicle width direction. For example, the cover member 13 may have a U-shape in which the upper end of the third surface portion 13C of the cover member 13 extends to near the base end (upper end) of the striker 11. In this case, the third surface portion 13C is disposed on the outside of the striker 11 in the vehicle width direction so as to overlap the entire striker 11 when viewed from the outside to the inside in the vehicle width direction, thereby providing better protection. The LED irradiation lamps 15 may be disposed in any part of the cover member 13, not limited to the second surface portion 13B of the cover member 13. For example, the LED irradiation lamps 15 may be disposed on both the first surface portion 13A and the second surface portion 13B of the cover member 13. In this case, the LED irradiation lamps 15 can more reliably illuminate the area extending from the vicinity of the opening portion 2A to the inside of the luggage storage space 2B of the trunk chamber 2.

[0038] Furthermore, as described above, when multiple trunk lids 3 are provided for the opening 2A of the luggage storage space 2B, the striker cover structure 10 is provided corresponding to each trunk lid 3. One trunk lid 3 may be provided with one striker 11 and one striker cover structure 10, or one trunk lid 3 may be provided with multiple strikers 11 and multiple striker cover structures 10. Also, even when one trunk lid 3 is provided for the opening 2A of the luggage storage space 2B, one striker 11 and one striker cover structure 10 may be provided for one trunk lid 3, or multiple strikers 11 and multiple striker cover structures 10 may be provided for one trunk lid 3.
