DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0009] A preferred embodiment of the present invention is described below. (1) The beauty device of the present invention includes a treatment unit that is placed against the skin, the treatment unit having a heat source that supplies cold or hot heat, and a heat storage member that stores the cold or hot heat, and the heat storage member holds the heat source. With this configuration, the heat storage member also serves as a member that holds the heat source, so the number of parts can be reduced compared to when the heat storage member and the member that holds the heat source are provided separately. (2) In the cosmetic device described in (1) above, the heat storage member may be electrically conductive and in contact with at least one of the pair of electrodes of the heat source. With this configuration, the heat storage member also serves as a current-carrying member, so the number of parts can be reduced compared to when a heat storage member and a current-carrying member are separately provided. Also, the heat of the heat source can be efficiently transferred to the heat storage member. (3) In the cosmetic device described in (1) or (2) above, the treatment unit may have an insulating part between the surface of the treatment unit and the heat storage member. With this configuration, the current path and the surface of the treatment unit are insulated, so there is no need to provide a gap between the heat storage member and the surface of the treatment unit, and heat can be efficiently transferred to the surface of the treatment unit. (4) In the beauty device described in any one of (1) to (3) above, the treatment unit may have two of the heat storage members, and the two heat storage members may hold the heat source in a sandwiched state between them. With this configuration, cold or hot heat can be effectively stored. (5) In the cosmetic device according to any one of (1) to (4) above, the heat storage member and the heat source may be in surface contact with each other. With this configuration, the cold or hot heat is stored evenly in the heat storage member. (6) In the beauty device described in any one of (1) to (5) above, the treatment unit may rotate around a rotation axis, and the heat storage member may be disposed radially inside a portion of the surface of the treatment unit that has a maximum diameter in a cross section perpendicular to the rotation axis. Here, the portion of the surface of the treatment unit that has a maximum diameter in a cross section perpendicular to the rotation axis is the portion of the treatment unit that is most likely to come into contact with the skin. By disposing the heat storage member inside this portion, heat can be effectively transferred to the skin.
[0010] <Example> An embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to Figs. 1 to 14. The beauty device 10 in this embodiment is a device that can massage the skin of the face or the like by rolling the treatment section 12 against the skin. In the following description, the upper side of Fig. 1 will be referred to as the upper side, the lower side of Fig. 1 as the lower side, the right side of Fig. 1 as the right side, the left side of Fig. 1 as the left side, the left side of Fig. 2 as the front side, and the right side of Fig. 2 as the rear side.
[0011] As shown in Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, the beauty device 10 is energized when set on the base 100. The treatment part 12 of the beauty device 10 is heated by energization. The beauty device 10 is removed from the base 100 before use. The warmth of the treatment part 12 is maintained even when the beauty device 10 is removed from the base 100.
[0012] As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the base 100 includes a housing 101, a first power supply unit 102, a second power supply unit 103, a cable connection unit 104, and a switch 105.
[0013] The housing 101 includes a detachable portion 106 to which the cosmetic device 10 can be detached. The detachable portion 106 is a recess that conforms to the outer shape of the cosmetic device 10. The cosmetic device 10 can be inserted into the detachable portion 106 only in a specific orientation. The base 100 can be placed on a horizontal surface.
[0014] The first power supply portion 102 and the second power supply portion 103 are provided on both the left and right sides of the detachable portion 106. The first power supply portion 102 and the second power supply portion 103 contact the first contact portion 14 and the second contact portion 15 provided on the cosmetic device 10, respectively, to pass electricity through the cosmetic device 10. The first power supply portion 102 and the second power supply portion 103 have contacts 107A and 107B with the first contact portion 14 and the second contact portion 15, respectively. The contacts 107A and 107B are each exposed and disposed on the detachable portion 106. The contacts 107A and 107B elastically contact the first contact portion 14 and the second contact portion 15 of the cosmetic device 10, respectively.
[0015] The base 100 is connected to a power source via a cable inserted into the cable connection section 104. The switch 105 is pressed to turn the power on and off. When the beauty device 10 is set on the base 100 and the power of the base 100 is turned on by operating the switch 105, the base 100 starts to pass electricity to the beauty device 10. When the power is turned off, the base 100 can be used as a stand for placing the beauty device 10.
[0016] As shown in Figs. 5 to 7, the cosmetic device 10 includes a handle portion 11, a treatment portion 12, and an electric current conducting portion 13. When using the cosmetic device 10, the handle portion 11 is held by a user. The handle portion 11 has an overall shape that is long in the vertical direction. In a side view, the handle portion 11 is gently curved forward from the lower side to the upper side.
[0017] The first contact portion 14 and the second contact portion 15 are provided at the lower end of the handle portion 11. The first contact portion 14 is provided on the right side of the handle portion 11, and the second contact portion 15 is provided on the left side of the handle portion 11. A portion of the first contact portion 14 and the second contact portion 15 are exposed to the outside. When the cosmetic device 10 is set on the base 100, the first contact portion 14 comes into contact with a contact 107A of the first power supply portion 102 of the base 100, and the second contact portion 15 comes into contact with a contact 107B of the second contact portion 15 of the base 100.
[0018] The handle portion 11 includes a base member 29, a cover member 31, and a lighting device 32. The cover member 31 includes a front cover 33 that covers the front side of the base member 29, and a rear cover 34 that covers the rear side of the base member 29. The front cover 33 and the rear cover 34 are each fixed to the base member 29 by a fixing member M1.
[0019] The base member 29 is made of resin. Specifically, the base member 29 is made of ABS resin. The conductive part 13, the lighting device 32, and various electric parts are fixed to the rear side of the base member 29. A groove 36 is formed on the periphery of the rear surface of the base member 29. A packing 37 is fitted into the groove 36. The packing 37 seals the gap between the rear cover 34 and the base member 29.
[0020] The handle portion 11 includes a first current-carrying portion 38, a second current-carrying portion 39, and a third current-carrying portion 41. The first current-carrying portion 38 is a current-carrying path from the first contact portion 14 to a current-carrying part 19, which will be described later, in the heat source current-carrying path described later. The second current-carrying portion 39 is a current-carrying path from the second contact portion 15 to a current-carrying part 19, which will be described later, in the heat source current-carrying path described later. The third current-carrying portion 41 is a current-carrying path from the first contact portion 14 and the second contact portion 15 to the lighting device 32, which will be described later. The first current-carrying portion 38, the second current-carrying portion 39, and the third current-carrying portion 41 are each formed of a conductive metal plate, an electric wire, or the like.
[0021] The lighting device 32 includes a light source 42 such as an LED. The light source 42 lights up to indicate that the beauty device 10 set on the base 100 is energized. The light source 42 penetrates the rear cover 34 and is covered by a transparent portion 43. An O-ring 44 seals water between the lighting device 32 and the rear cover 34. A terminal portion of a third current-carrying portion 41 is electrically connected to the lighting device 32.
[0022] The rear cover 34 covers the first current-carrying section 38, the second current-carrying section 39, the third current-carrying section 41, the lighting device 32, and various electrical components that are fixed to the base member 29. The rear cover 34 is made of ABS resin. A transparent section 43 that transmits light from the light source 42 is fitted into the rear cover 34. The transparent section 43 is made of transparent acrylic resin. As shown in FIG. 1, the transparent section 43 extends long in the vertical direction at the center of the left-right direction of the cosmetic device 10.
[0023] The front cover 33 is made of ABS resin. A transparent portion 43 is fitted into the front cover 33, as is the rear cover 34 (see FIG. 4). The transparent portion 43 is made of transparent acrylic resin. The transparent portion 43 extends vertically from the left-right center of the cosmetic device 10. The transparent portion 43 of the front cover 33 and the transparent portion 43 of the rear cover 34 are connected to improve the design.
[0024] As shown in Fig. 1, the upper end of the handle portion 11 is branched into left and right portions and has a pair of extending portions 16. Each extending portion 16 is connected to a treatment portion 12. As shown in Fig. 8, the treatment portion 12 is a rotating body that rotates around a rotation axis S. The angle α of the rotation axis S of the two treatment portions 12 is preferably in the range of 50 degrees or more and 110 degrees or less, and more preferably 65 degrees or more and 80 degrees or less (see Fig. 1).
[0025] As shown in Fig. 9, an inner cylinder portion 17 and an outer cylinder portion 18 are provided at the tip of each extension portion 16. The inner cylinder portion 17 is provided on a base member 29. The outer cylinder portion 18 is provided on a cover member 31. The inner cylinder portion 17 is cylindrical. The axis of the inner cylinder portion 17 coincides with the rotation axis S of the treatment portion 12. The treatment portion 12 is freely rotatable relative to the inner cylinder portion 17.
[0026] As shown in Fig. 8, a conductive part 19 constituting a heat source conductive path described later is disposed inside the inner cylinder part 17. The treatment part 12 is disposed outside the inner cylinder part 17. By disposing the conductive part 19 and the treatment part 12 separately on the inside and outside of the inner cylinder part 17, it is possible to prevent sliding between the conductive part 19 and the treatment part 12. The outer cylinder part 18 covers the surface of the base end side of the treatment part 12.
[0027] As shown in Fig. 10, the current-carrying part 19 includes an insulating holder 21, a first conductive member 22, and a second conductive member 23. The insulating holder 21 has a flange portion 24. As shown in Fig. 8, the flange portion 24 is sandwiched between a distal end core portion 46 and a proximal end core portion 47 of the treatment portion 12. In this way, the current-carrying part 19 is fixed to the treatment portion 12.
[0028] As shown in FIG. 8, the insulating holder 21 penetrates the inner tube portion 17 in the axial direction. The insulating holder 21 has three claw portions 25. The claw portions 25 are hooked onto receiving portions 35 of the handle portion 11. The receiving portions 35 are provided on the base member 29. This allows the current-carrying part 19 to be fixed to the handle portion 11. The current-carrying part 19 connects the treatment portion 12 and the handle portion 11. The insulating holder 21 is formed with an insertion hole 26 into which the conductive shaft member 59 fixed to the distal core portion 46 is inserted. The insertion hole 26 is formed to extend in the axial direction from the distal end side of the insulating holder 21 toward the proximal end side.
[0029] As shown in Fig. 10, the first conductive member 22 and the second conductive member 23 are both formed of a conductive plate material. The first conductive member 22 and the second conductive member 23 may be formed of, for example, a phosphor bronze plate with a nickel-plated surface. The first conductive member 22 and the second conductive member 23 are fixed to the side of the insulating holder 21 (see Fig. 11). The first conductive member 22 and the second conductive member 23 are insulated by the insulating holder 21.
[0030] The first conductive member 22 and the second conductive member 23 have tip side connection portions 27A, 27B and base side connection portions 28A, 28B, respectively. The tip side connection portions 27A, 27B protrude into the insertion hole 26 of the insulating holder 21 as shown in Fig. 8. The tip side connection portions 27A, 27B are electrically connected to the conductive shaft member 59. The position of the tip side connection portion 27A of the first conductive member 22 and the position of the tip side connection portion 27B of the second conductive member 23 are shifted in the extension direction of the rotation axis S.
[0031] Both base end connection parts 28A, 28B are disposed on the lower end side of insulating holder 21 (see FIG. 14). Base end connection part 28A provided on first conductive member 22 is electrically connected to first current-carrying part 38. Base end connection part 28B provided on second conductive member 23 is electrically connected to second current-carrying part 39.
[0032] As shown in Figures 12 and 13, the treatment portion 12 has an outer shell portion 45, a tip core portion 46, and a base core portion 47. The outer shape of the outer shell portion 45 is approximately spherical. The outer shell portion 45 is hollow. The outer shell portion 45 has a surface portion 49 and an insulating portion 51. The distance L between the two treatment portions 12 is preferably in the range of 8 mm to 15 mm, and more preferably 10 mm. The distance L between the two treatment portions 12 is the shortest distance between the positions of the maximum diameter of the treatment portions 12 (see Figure 1).
[0033] The surface portion 49 has a base portion 52 and a metal portion 53. The base portion 52 is made of resin. Specifically, it is preferable to use ABS resin for the base portion 52. The metal portion 53 is a plating (e.g., chrome plating) applied to the entire surface of the base portion 52. The inner surface of the surface portion 49 has a sealing surface 54. The sealing surface 54 is formed along the opening on the base end side of the surface portion 49.
[0034] The insulating portion 51 has a generally spherical shape that fits the inner surface of the surface portion 49. The insulating portion 51 is made of a heat-resistant synthetic resin, and is insert-molded inside the base portion 52. The insulating portion 51 may be made of, for example, a PC (polycarbonate) resin. The insulating portion 51 covers almost the entire inner surface of the surface portion 49 except for a sealing surface 54 (see FIG. 14).
[0035] The insulating part 51 has a core fixing part 55 for fixing the base end core part 47. The core fixing part 55 is a recess formed on the inner surface of the insulating part 51. The locking part 87 of the base end core part 47 is hooked into the recess (see FIG. 8). Three core fixing parts 55 are provided in the circumferential direction centered on the rotation axis S. The insulating part 51 has a member fixing part 56 for fixing the heat storage member 58 described later. A fixing member M2 is fastened to the member fixing part 56.
[0036] The tip core portion 46 is disposed inside the outer shell portion 45. The tip core portion 46 has a heat source 57, a heat storage member 58, a conductive shaft member 59, and a pressing member 48. The conductive shaft member 59 has a first conductive shaft portion 61, a second conductive shaft portion 62, and an insulating shaft portion 63. The first conductive shaft portion 61 is rod-shaped. The first conductive shaft portion 61 is made of metal, and may be made of stainless steel, for example. The second conductive shaft portion 62 is cylindrical. The second conductive shaft portion 62 is made of metal, and may be made of stainless steel, for example. The insulating shaft portion 63 is disposed between the first conductive shaft portion 61 and the second conductive shaft portion 62. The insulating shaft portion 63 insulates the first conductive shaft portion 61 and the second conductive shaft portion 62. The insulating shaft portion 63 is made of a heat-resistant synthetic resin, and may be made of PC (polycarbonate) resin, for example. The insulating shaft portion 63 is cylindrical. The first conductive shaft portion 61 is disposed inside the insulating shaft portion 63, and the second conductive shaft portion 62 is disposed outside the insulating shaft portion 63. Both axial ends of the first conductive shaft portion 61 protrude from the insulating shaft portion 63 (see FIG. 14). The insulating shaft portion 63 is longer than the second conductive shaft portion 62.
[0037] The heat source 57 supplies heat. The heat source 57 generates heat by passing an electric current through it, and warms the heat storage member 58. The heat source 57 is in the form of a circular thin plate. Both sides of the heat source 57 are circular, flat surfaces. A first electrode 64 and a second electrode 65 are provided on both sides of the heat source 57. The heat source 57 has a through hole 88 that passes the conductive shaft member 59 in the axial direction. The inner surface of the through hole 88 is in contact with the insulating shaft portion 63 of the conductive shaft member 59. This insulates the heat source 57 from the first conductive shaft portion 61.
[0038] The heat source 57 is designed to make the surface temperature of the treatment area 12 between 38°C and 45°C. It is preferable that the surface temperature of the treatment area 12 is 42°C. The heat source 57 reaches the desired temperature in a short time after the start of the current supply. The heat source 57 is a PTC heater. Since the heat source 57 uses a PTC heater, it is possible to increase the temperature in a short time. The heat source 57 is placed and held in a recessed portion 89 of the heat storage member 58, which will be described later.
[0039] The heat storage member 58 stores the hot heat supplied by the heat source 57. The heat storage member 58 is provided so as to fill the space formed between the outer shell portion 45 and the base-end core portion 47. The heat storage member 58 has a heat transfer function of transferring the hot heat supplied by the heat source 57 to the surface portion 49, and a function of electrically connecting the conductive shaft member 59 and the heat source 57.
[0040] The heat storage member 58 is covered by an insulating section 51. The insulating section 51 has a function of keeping the heat storage member 58 warm. The insulating section 51 is provided between the heat storage member 58 and the surface section 49, and thus can prevent a sudden change in temperature of the surface section 49. Here, if the temperature of the surface section 49 changes suddenly, there is a possibility that the metal section 53 will peel off due to the difference in thermal expansion coefficient between the metal section 53 and the base section 52. However, by preventing a sudden change in temperature of the surface section 49 with the insulating section 51, peeling of the metal section 53 can be suppressed. The insulating section 51 is provided between the heat storage member 58 and the surface section 49, and thus insulates between the surface section 49 and the heat storage member 58. This eliminates the need to provide a gap between the heat storage member 58 and the surface of the treatment section 12, and therefore allows heat to be efficiently transferred to the surface of the treatment section 12.
[0041] The heat storage member 58 includes a first heat storage member 66 and a second heat storage member 67. The first heat storage member 66 and the second heat storage member 67 hold the heat source 57 sandwiched therebetween (see FIG. 14). The first heat storage member 66 and the second heat storage member 67 are electrically conductive. The first heat storage member 66 and the second heat storage member 67 are made of metal, and may be made of aluminum, for example. The first heat storage member 66 and the second heat storage member 67 are spaced apart from each other.
[0042] The first heat storage member 66 has a disk shape as a whole. The surface of the first heat storage member 66 is curved into a dome shape so as to fit along the inner surface of the insulating section 51 (see FIG. 14). The surface of the first heat storage member 66 is in contact with the insulating section 51. The first heat storage member 66 has a first contact surface 68 disposed along the heat source 57. The first contact surface 68 is a circular flat surface. The first contact surface 68 is in surface contact with the first electrode 64 of the heat source 57.
[0043] The first heat storage member 66 has a connection portion 69 with the first conductive shaft portion 61. The connection portion 69 with the first conductive shaft portion 61 is a through hole that penetrates the first heat storage member 66 along the rotation axis S. The tip portion of the first conductive shaft portion 61 is inserted into the connection portion 69 with the first conductive shaft portion 61, and the first heat storage member 66 and the first conductive shaft portion 61 are electrically connected to each other.
[0044] The second heat storage member 67 has a flat plate portion 71 and a peripheral wall portion 72. The flat plate portion 71 is circular in plan view. The flat plate portion 71 has a second contact surface 73 arranged along the heat source 57 (see FIG. 14). The second contact surface 73 is a circular flat surface. The second contact surface 73 is in surface contact with the second electrode 65 of the heat source 57. The second heat storage member 67 is arranged radially inward of the maximum diameter portion in a cross section perpendicular to the rotation axis S of the surface of the treatment portion 12. By arranging the heat storage member 58 at this location, heat can be transferred to the skin more effectively.
[0045] The flat plate portion 71 has a connection portion 74 with the second conductive shaft portion 62. The connection portion 74 with the second conductive shaft portion 62 is a through hole that penetrates the flat plate portion 71 along the rotation axis S. The second conductive shaft portion 62 is press-fitted and fixed into the connection portion 74 with the second conductive shaft portion 62, and the second heat storage member 67 and the second conductive shaft portion 62 are electrically connected.
[0046] The peripheral wall portion 72 surrounds the entire periphery of the flat plate portion 71. The surface of the peripheral wall portion 72 is curved to follow the inner surface of the insulating portion 51 and is in contact with the insulating portion 51. The peripheral wall portion 72 has a tip side peripheral wall 75 and a base side peripheral wall 76 (see FIG. 14). The tip side peripheral wall 75 surrounds the heat source 57. This allows the heat generated from the heat source 57 to be efficiently transferred to the heat storage member 58. The base side peripheral wall 76 surrounds the tip portion of the base side core portion 47. The base side peripheral wall 76 has a recess 77 for arranging an outer protrusion 81 described later.
[0047] The recessed portion 89 is formed in the center of the heat storage member 58. The recessed portion 89 is formed by the flat plate portion 71 and the tip side peripheral wall 75, and is recessed from the tip of the tip side peripheral wall 75 toward the base end. The bottom surface of the recessed portion 89 is the second contact surface 73. The heat source 57 and the first heat storage member 66 are accommodated in the recessed portion 89.
[0048] As shown in Fig. 12, the pressing member 48 is formed of a metal plate. The pressing member 48 is formed of, for example, a phosphor bronze plate with a nickel-plated surface. The pressing member 48 has an annular portion 78, an inner protrusion 79, and an outer protrusion 81. The annular portion 78 is circular.
[0049] The inner protrusion 79 protrudes from the annular portion 78 toward the inner periphery. The inner protrusion 79 is in a cantilever shape that is elastically deformable in the extension direction of the rotation axis S. The inner protrusion 79 elastically presses the second heat storage member 67 toward the heat source 57 (see FIG. 14). This allows the second heat storage member 67 to be in close contact with the heat source 57, and the heat of the heat source 57 can be efficiently transferred to the second heat storage member 67. Furthermore, by allowing the second heat storage member 67 to be in close contact with the heat source 57, it is possible to prevent the second heat storage member 67 and the heat source 57 from shifting from their predetermined positions when the cosmetic device 10 is used or dropped.
[0050] The outer protrusion 81 protrudes from the annular portion 78 toward the outer periphery. A through hole is formed in the outer protrusion 81 to pass the fixing member M2 through. The outer protrusion 81 fits into the recess 77 and is disposed so as to overlap the member fixing portion 56 of the insulating portion 51. The outer shell portion 45 and the tip core portion 46 are integrated together by fixing the outer protrusion 81 and the member fixing portion 56 with the fixing member M2.
[0051] The base-end core portion 47 is a base-end portion of the treatment portion 12. As shown in Fig. 14, the base-end core portion 47 has a tube insertion hole 82 into which the inner tube portion 17 is inserted. The base-end core portion 47 is rotatable relative to the inner tube portion 17. The outer surface of the base-end core portion 47 contacts the inner surface of the outer shell portion 45.
[0052] As shown in FIG. 13, the base end core portion 47 includes a roller base 83, a pair of resin rings 84, a packing 85, and an O-ring 86.
[0053] The roller base 83 is made of synthetic resin, and may be made of, for example, polyacetal resin (POM). The roller base 83 has an annular shape. The roller base 83 has an engagement portion 87 with the outer shell portion 45. The engagement portion 87 protrudes from the roller base 83 toward the tip side. The engagement portions 87 are provided at three locations on the outer periphery of the roller base 83. The tip portions of the engagement portions 87 hook onto the core fixing portion 55 of the outer shell portion 45. This causes the base end core portion 47 and the outer shell portion 45 to be integrated together (see Figures 8 and 12).
[0054] The pair of resin rings 84 are made of synthetic resin, and may be, for example, polyacetal resin (POM). The pair of resin rings 84 are fitted and fixed inside the roller base 83. The resin ring 84 and the roller base 83 have a rotation stopper 91. The rotation stopper 91 stops the resin ring 84 from rotating relative to the roller base 83. One of the pair of resin rings 84 is disposed on the tip side of the roller base 83, and the other is disposed on the base side (see FIG. 14). The resin ring 84 is in contact with the outer circumferential surface of the inner cylinder portion 17.
[0055] A Y-type packing or a V-type packing may be used as the packing 85. The packing 85 is fitted and fixed inside the roller base 83. The packing 85 is provided in the axial middle part of the roller base 83, and is in contact with the outer circumferential surface of the inner cylinder part 17.
[0056] The O-ring 86 is made of a synthetic resin, for example, acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer (NBR). The O-ring 86 is attached to the outer circumferential surface of the roller base 83 (see FIG. 14). The O-ring 86 is in close contact with the seal surface 54 of the outer shell portion 45, and prevents water from entering between the roller base 83 and the outer shell portion 45.
[0057] 6, the current-carrying unit 13 includes a heat source conductive path that electrically connects the first contact portion 14 and the second contact portion 15 to the first electrode 64 and the second electrode 65 of the heat source 57, and an illumination conductive path that electrically connects the first contact portion 14 and the second contact portion 15 to the lighting device 32. The current-carrying unit 13 includes the first contact portion 14 and the second contact portion 15. The illumination conductive path is constituted by a third current-carrying unit 41.
[0058] The heat source conductive path includes two conductive paths. One conductive path electrically connects the first contact portion 14 to the first electrode 64. The other conductive path electrically connects the second contact portion 15 to the second electrode 65. One conductive path is composed of a first current-carrying portion 38, a first conductive member 22, a first conductive shaft portion 61, and a first heat storage member 66. The other conductive path is composed of a second current-carrying portion 39, a second conductive member 23, a second conductive shaft portion 62, and a second heat storage member 67.
[0059] Next, an example of how to use the beauty device 10 will be described. First, the user sets the beauty device 10 on the base 100 and warms the treatment area 12. Specifically, the user inserts a cable extending from a power source into the cable connection part 104 of the base 100 and operates the switch 105 to turn on the power of the base 100. Then, electricity flows from the first power supply part 102 and the second power supply part 103 of the base 100 to the electric current supply part 13 of the beauty device 10, the heat source 57 generates heat, and the light source 42 lights up. The heat storage member 58 is heated and transfers heat evenly to the inside of almost the entire area of the surface of the treatment area 12 that contacts the skin. The surface temperature of the treatment area 12 rises, and after a predetermined time has passed, it becomes a temperature suitable for massage. For example, the surface temperature of the treatment area 12 may reach about 40 degrees in about 3 minutes.
[0060] In addition, when the surface temperature of the treatment unit 12 reaches a predetermined temperature, if the treatment unit 12 is left in a powered state for a predetermined time, the power may be automatically turned off. For example, if the treatment unit 12 is left in a powered state for 6 minutes, the power may be turned off.
[0061] Next, the user grasps the handle portion 11 of the beauty device 10 to remove it from the base 100, and places the treatment portion 12 against the skin of the arm, face, or the like. The user feels an appropriate warmth the moment the treatment portion 12 is placed against the skin. The user places the treatment portion 12 against the skin and rolls it. The user's skin is pinched and massaged by the two treatment portions 12. During this time, the surface temperature of the treatment portion 12 is kept at an appropriate temperature by the heat storage member 58. The heat source 57 itself also rotates, so heat can be efficiently transferred to the treatment area of the skin. The user can effectively massage the skin while warming it to an appropriate temperature.
[0062] After finishing the massage, the user sets the beauty device 10 on the base 100. When the user is not using the beauty device 10, the user can leave the beauty device 10 on the base 100 with the power of the base 100 turned off.
[0063] Next, the operation and effect of the embodiment configured as described above will be described. The beauty device 10 has a treatment unit 12 that is placed against the skin. The treatment unit 12 has a heat source 57 and a heat storage member 58. The heat source 57 supplies heat. The heat storage member 58 stores the heat. The heat storage member 58 holds the heat source 57. According to this configuration, the heat storage member 58 also serves as a member that holds the heat source 57, so the number of parts can be reduced compared to when the heat storage member 58 and the member that holds the heat source 57 are provided separately.
[0064] The heat storage member 58 is conductive and is in contact with both the first electrode 64 and the second electrode 65 of the heat source 57. With this configuration, the heat storage member 58 also serves as the current-carrying section 13, so the number of parts can be reduced compared to a case in which the heat storage member 58 and the current-carrying member are provided separately. Also, the heat of the heat source 57 can be efficiently transferred to the heat storage member 58.
[0065] The treatment section 12 has an insulating section 51 between the surface of the treatment section 12 and the heat storage member 58. According to this configuration, since the current-carrying section 13 and the surface of the treatment section 12 are insulated from each other, there is no need to provide a gap (air) between the heat storage member 58 and the surface of the treatment section 12, and therefore heat can be efficiently transferred to the surface of the treatment section 12.
[0066] The treatment section 12 has a first heat storage member 66 and a second heat storage member 67. The first heat storage member 66 and the second heat storage member 67 hold the heat source 57 in a sandwiched state therebetween. With this configuration, it is possible to effectively store heat.
[0067] The heat storage member 58 and the heat source 57 are in surface contact with each other. According to this configuration, the heat is stored in the heat storage member 58 evenly.
[0068] The treatment unit 12 rotates around a rotation axis S. The heat storage member 58 is disposed radially inside a portion of the surface of the treatment unit 12 that has a maximum diameter in a cross section perpendicular to the rotation axis S. According to this configuration, the portion of the surface of the treatment unit 12 that has a maximum diameter in a cross section perpendicular to the rotation axis S is the portion of the treatment unit 12 that is most likely to come into contact with the skin. By disposing the heat storage member 58 inside this portion, heat can be effectively transferred to the skin.
