DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0036] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described.

[0037] Embodiment 1 FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a corner pad 1A according to a first embodiment of the present invention. In this specification and the drawings, substantially the same components are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant description of the same components will be omitted in this specification.

[0038] (Overview of Corner Fixing Material 1A) As shown in FIG. 1, the corner pad 1A is a member having two rectangular surfaces 2 and 3 sandwiching a bent portion 4, a cut 5, and a folding line 6. The corner pad 1A is composed of a single sheet of panel 10 that can be bent.

[0039] The corner protection material 1A is used as a component for preventing the occurrence of cargo collapse by applying it to necessary corners of the cargo 100 when the cargo 101 of the same type is stacked in multiple layers on a pallet 200 and transported as such, as illustrated in Figure 4. In this case, the corner pad 1A can be used without folding the two surfaces 2, 3, or can be used in a folded state as described below. The luggage 101 is an item in which products or other items are packed in boxes of the same size. The luggage 101 may also be an item that has approximately the same external shape with corners and can be loaded.

[0040] When the corner pad 1A is used for transportation, as shown in FIG. 4, a packaging film 91 is wrapped around necessary outer surfaces such as the side surfaces of the load 100 including the corner pad 1A. 4(B) and the like, reference numeral 92 denotes a packing film roll formed by wrapping the packing film 91 around a roll core. Reference numerals 91a and 91b denote portions of the packing film 91 that are wrapped around two side surfaces of the load 100.

[0041] The two face portions 2, 3 are two faces that are separated by a linear bent portion 4 that extends parallel to one side of the rectangular face material 10. The rectangle is a rectangle or a square. The bent portion 4 is a portion where the face material 10 is bent at a substantially right angle. Note that the bent portion 4 may be formed by bending the face material 10 when using the corner pad 1A as described later.

[0042] 1, the bent portion 4 in the first embodiment is a straight portion extending parallel to a side edge 10a, which is one of the long sides of the rectangular panel material 10. Moreover, the bent portion 4 is formed so as to extend, for example, from approximately the center of an upper side 10b, which is one of the short sides of the rectangular panel material 10, toward the center of a lower side 10c, which is the other short side.

[0043] As a result, the surfaces 2 and 3 in the first embodiment are both rectangular surfaces that are long in the vertical direction, as shown in FIG. In this case, surface portion 2 has a side 2a as a long side located opposite bent portion 4, and an upper side 2b and a lower side 2c as two short sides. Surface portion 3 also has a side 3a as a long side located opposite bent portion 4, and an upper side 3b and a lower side 3c as two short sides. The sides of the surface portions 2 and 3 are set to a predetermined length and the thickness is set to a predetermined dimension according to conditions such as the application.

[0044] The cut 5 is a portion cut from one side of at least one of the two surfaces 2 and 3 so as to reach the bent portion 4 .

[0045] The cut 5 in the first embodiment is provided as a cut extending vertically in a straight line from the side edge 2a of one surface portion 2 to the bent portion 4. The cut 5 starts at a predetermined position on the side edge 2a of the surface portion 2. Of course, the cut 5 may be provided on the other surface portion 3. The cut 5 is a straight cut, and can also be called a first cut in order to distinguish it from a second cut 7 and a fourth cut 9 described later.

[0046] The folding line 6 is a line for facilitating folding work, and is formed so as to reach one side of the other surface portion 3 from the end 5b of the cut 5. Reference symbol 5a in FIG.

[0047] The folding line 6 in the first embodiment is formed as a part that extends linearly from the end 5b of the cut 5 to reach the side 3a of the other surface portion 3. The folding line 6 may be any line suitable for the type of face material 10 of the corner pad material 1A and the degree of folding. For example, the folding line 6 may be a line in which a cut of a required depth is made on the surface opposite to the folding direction, or a line in which a perforation is made. Incidentally, when the facing material 10 is a paper material such as cardboard, the folding lines 6 applied to the facing material 10 are sometimes called creases.

[0048] (Deformed form of corner fitting material 1A) For example, when the surface portion 3 of the corner pad 1A is folded at a folding line 6 at a substantially right angle, it can be made into a corner pad 1Ab in a first deformed form shown in FIG.

[0049] The corner pad 1Ab in the first modified form is obtained when the surface portion 3 is folded outward at a substantially right angle along the folding line 6 and then stopped. The folding of the surface portion 3 at this time is made possible by the presence of the notch 5 in the surface portion 2 that is provided continuously from one end that intersects with the bending portion 4 of the folding line 6.

[0050] In the corner pad material 1Ab in the first deformed form, the surface portion 3 is deformed into a shape separated by the folding line 6 into a remaining lower portion 31 and an upper portion 32 that is bent at a substantially right angle to the lower portion 31. In the corner protection material 1Ab in the first deformed form, the surface portion 2 is deformed into a shape separated into a lower portion 21 that is separated by the cut 5 and remains, and an upper portion 22 that is tilted in a direction approximately perpendicular to the lower portion 21. At this time, a straight cut edge 5c separated by the cut 5 appears in the lower part 21 of the surface part 2, as shown in Fig. 2. Also, at this time, a straight cut edge 5d separated by the cut 5 appears in the upper part 22 of the surface part 2.

[0051] Moreover, when the surface portion 3 of the corner pad 1A is folded back along the folding line 6, it can be made into a corner pad 1Ac in a second modified form shown in FIG. 3(A).

[0052] The corner pad 1Ac in the second modified form is obtained when the surface portion 3 is folded back at an angle of approximately 180 degrees along the folding line 6. In this case, the surface portion 3 is configured so as not to break along the folding line 6.

[0053] In the corner pad 1Ac in the second deformed form, the surface portion 3 is deformed into a shape in which the lower portion 31 and the upper portion 32 overlap back-to-back with the folding line 6 interposed therebetween. In the corner protection material 1Ac in the second deformed form, the surface portion 2 is deformed into a shape in which the lower portion 21 and the upper portion 22 are adjacent to each other with the bent portion 4 interposed therebetween.

[0054] Furthermore, the corner pad 1Ac in the second modified form also has a T-shaped portion when viewed from above, as shown in FIG. 3(B). In other words, when viewed from above, the corner protection material 1Ac has a T-shape in which surface portion 3, in which lower portion 31 and upper portion 32 overlap, and surface portion 2, in which lower portion 21 and upper portion 22 are adjacent to each other, intersect at approximately a right angle.

[0055] (Example of using corner patch material 1A) The corner pad 1A can be used in an undeformed form as shown in Fig. 4. The undeformed form refers to a form in which the surface portion 3 and the like are not bent and deformed.

[0056] The corner pad 1A in a non-deformable form is used by pressing it against each of the four corners 100a, 100b, 100c, and 100d (see FIG. 4(A)) on the side of the load 100, as shown in FIG. 4(B). At this time, the corner pad 1A is placed so as to be pressed against the four corners 100a, 100b, 100c, and 100d with the bent portion 4 as a reference.

[0057] When this corner pad material 1A is used, finally, a packaging film 91 is wrapped around the side surface of the load 100 including the corner pad material 1A. The packaging film 91 is wrapped around the load 100, for example, while gradually shifting from the lower side surface periphery to the upper side surface periphery. As a result, the corner pads 1A are kept in close contact with the corners 100a, 100b, 100c, and 100d of the load 100. In addition, the corners of the luggage 101 at the corners of the load 100 are covered by the corner pads 1A, making the load 100 less likely to move.

[0058] Therefore, when the corner pad 1A is used in this manner without being deformed, collapse of the load at the four corners 100a, 100b, 100c, and 100d, which are examples of the corners of the load 100, can be suppressed.

[0059] Incidentally, it is advisable to use the corner pad 1A in this state so that its upper end (upper side) remains at a position a predetermined distance below the upper end of the load 100. This is a measure that anticipates that the luggage 101 of the load 100 will compress (shrink) vertically over time due to the influence of weight, etc. after loading, and as a result, the overall loading height of the load 100 will become lower than the initial height dimension. As a result, even if the loading height of the load 100 becomes lower midway, the corner pad material 1A can be prevented from having its upper end protruding from the load 100.

[0060] In addition, the corner pad 1A in a non-deformable form can also be used by being applied to a corner present on the upper surface of the load 100, for example.

[0061] Next, as shown in FIG. 4, the corner pad 1A can be used as the corner pad 1Ac (see FIG. 3) of the second modified form described above.

[0062] The second modified form of the corner support material 1Ac is used, for example, by pressing it against at least a portion of the corner between adjacent pieces of luggage 101 vertically and horizontally on the inside of the side of the load 100, as shown in Figure 4(B). To explain further, the corner pad 1Ac at this time is in a state where a part consisting of the lower part 31 and the upper part 32, which overlap by folding back the surface part 3 constituting a part of the above-mentioned T-shaped part, is inserted between the adjacent luggage 101 of the load 100. Also, the corner pad 1Ac at this time is in a state where a part consisting of the adjacent lower part 21 and the upper part 22, which is formed by cutting off the surface part 2 constituting a part of the above-mentioned T-shaped part, is pressed against a part of each side surface (surface) of the adjacent luggage 101.

[0063] In addition, when the corner pad 1Ac is first used to target the second-lowest layer of luggage 101 stacked on the inner side of one side of the cargo 100, as shown in Figure 4(B), it is used, for example, as follows.

[0064] In this case, when the second layer of target luggage 101 is loaded, the folded surface 3 of the corner pad 1Ac is inserted between the luggage 101, and the entire corner pad 1Ac is set in a self-supporting state. After that, the third and subsequent layers of luggage 101 are stacked on both sides of the folded surface 3 of the corner pad 1Ac, sandwiching it between them. In this case, when the fourth and fifth tiers of luggage 101 are stacked, the side surfaces (surfaces) of these luggage 101 are covered by the adjacent cut-off surface portions 2 of the corner pad 1Ac.

[0065] Even when this corner pad 1Ac is used, the packaging film 91 is finally wrapped around the side surface of the load 100 including the corner pad 1Ac. As a result, the corner pad 1Ac is kept in close contact with some of the luggage 101 stacked at the inside position of the side of the load 100. Also, the corners of the luggage 101 stacked on the inside positions on the top, bottom, left and right of the load 100 are covered by the corner pad 1Ac, so that the load 100 is kept in a state where it is difficult to move.

[0066] Therefore, when the corner pad 1Ac in the second modified form is used in this manner, collapse of the load 100 at an inner position such as the center thereof can be suppressed.

[0067] As shown in FIG. 5, the corner pad 1A can also be used as the corner pad 1Ab (see FIG. 2) of the first modified form described above.

[0068] The first deformed form of the corner pad 1Ab is used by being pressed against at least a portion of the corners of adjacent luggage 101 on the inside of the side of the load 100 in the vertical and horizontal directions, in a manner similar to that of the second deformed form of the corner pad 1Ac, as shown in FIG. 5, for example. To explain further, the lower portion 31 and upper portion 32 of the corner pad material 1Ab at this time are folded at a substantially right angle along the folding line 6 of the surface portion 3, and are inserted between adjacent pieces of luggage 101 of the load 100. Also, the lower portion 21 and upper portion 22 of the corner pad material 1Ab at this time are separated along the notch 5 of the surface portion 2 and are positioned so as to intersect at a substantially right angle, and are pressed against a part of each side surface (surface) of the adjacent pieces of luggage 101.

[0069] When this first deformed form of corner protection material 1Ab is used, it is possible to prevent cargo from falling over at inner positions such as the center of the load 100, in almost the same way as when the second deformed form of corner protection material 1Ac is used.

[0070] Embodiment 2 6 and 7 are a perspective view and four side views of a corner pad 1B according to a second embodiment of the present invention. When compared with the corner protection material 1A of embodiment 1, the corner protection material 1B of embodiment 2 differs in that a second notch 7A is added and notch 5 is changed to a third notch 8A, but otherwise has substantially the same configuration. In the corner pad 1B, the third incision 8A and the folding line 6 are disposed at approximately the center positions in the upward direction of the surfaces 2 and 3. The upward direction of the surfaces 2 and 3 also corresponds to their longitudinal direction.

[0071] The second cut 7A is a cut provided on the surface portion 3 so as to interrupt the folding line 6. This second cut 7A can also be said to be a continuous linear cut that starts from a first point halfway along the folding line 6 to one side of the folding line 6 of the face portion 3, and then returns to a second point different from the first point of the folding line 6. Reference numeral 6a in Fig. 6 etc. indicates an outer fold line portion existing on the outer side of the fold line 6 interrupted by the second cut 7A. Reference numeral 6b indicates an inner fold line portion existing on the inner side of the interrupted fold line 6. A line portion refers to a portion of the entire line.

[0072] The second cut 7A in the second embodiment is configured as a linear cut having rising line portions 71a and 71b and a connection line portion 72, as shown in FIG.

[0073] The rising line portions 71a and 71b are line portions that rise upward at the points where the folding line 6 is interrupted. Both of the rising line portions 71a and 71b are curved lines of the same length that bend inward once, and also, as shown in Fig. 8, both of the rising line portions 71a and 71b are curved lines that extend so as to intersect at two or more different angles with respect to a direction E that is parallel to the bent portion 4.

[0074] On the other hand, the connection line portion 72 is a line portion that connects the upper ends of the rising line portions 71a and 71b. The connecting line portion 72 is configured as a line portion made of a curved line bent in an arc shape. The connecting line portion 72 is also a line portion made of a curved line extending so as to intersect with the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4 at two or more different angles.

[0075] In this manner, the second cut 7A is a cut having three line portions extending so as to intersect at different angles with respect to the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4. The line portions extending so as to intersect at different angles in the second cut 7A are two rising line portions 71a, 71b and one connecting line portion 72.

[0076] The third cut 8A is a cut having a curved portion 81 instead of the straight cut 5 in the first embodiment.

[0077] As shown in FIG. 9(A), the third cut 8A in the second embodiment is configured as a linear cut that combines a curved portion 81 and a straight portion .

[0078] The straight portion 82 has an inclined portion 82a and a horizontal portion 82b. The inclined portion 82a is a straight portion that inclines from the side 2a, which is also one of the long sides of the surface portion 2, to a position approaching the surface portion 3, rising to the right in FIG. 9(A). The horizontal portion 82b is a straight portion that extends horizontally in the left-right direction from the bent portion 4 to near the lower end of the inclined portion 82a.

[0079] The curved portion 81 has a major curved portion 81a, a minor curved portion 81b, and a connecting curved portion 81c. The large curved portion 81a is an arc-shaped curved portion that is connected to the end of the inclined portion 82a of the straight portion 82 and bent downward with a relatively large curvature. Minor curved portion 81b is an arc-shaped curved portion that is connected to the end of horizontal portion 82b of straight portion 82 and bends upward with a relatively small curvature. The curvature of minor curved portion 81b is smaller than the curvature of major curved portion 81a. The connecting curved portion 81c is an arc-shaped curved portion that bends once toward the side edge 2a of the surface portion 2 so as to connect the lower end of the major curved portion 81a and the upper end of the minor curved portion 81b.

[0080] In addition, with regard to the connecting curved portion 81c, from the viewpoint of facilitating the separation movement at the third notch 8A of the face portion 2 when the face portion 3 is bent, the connecting curved portion 81c is a curved portion consisting of an arc centered on the fulcrum when bending the face portion 3 at the bending line 6. The curved portion 81 including this connecting curved portion 81c is configured as a curved portion whose movement trajectories do not overlap when the surface portion 2 is separated and separated into the lower portion 21 and the upper portion 22 at the third cut 8A when the surface portion 3 is folded along the folding line 6. In this curved portion 81, as shown in Fig. 9(B), the connecting curved portion 81c in particular is made into a curved portion of the above-mentioned circular arc so that the movement trajectories do not overlap.

[0081] The second cut 7A and the third cut 8A are formed, for example, by applying a press processing method using a punching die, a processing method using a blade such as a cutter, a laser processing method, etc. There are no particular limitations on the method for forming the second cut 7A and the third cut 8A.

[0082] (Deformed form of corner pad 1B) For example, when the surface portion 3 of the corner pad 1B is folded at a substantially right angle along the folding line 6, it can be made into a corner pad 1Bb in a first deformed form shown in FIG.

[0083] The corner pad 1Bb in the first modified form is obtained when the surface portion 3 is bent outward at a substantially right angle along the folding line 6 and stopped. In the corner pad material 1Bb in the first deformed form, the surface portion 3 is bent at a substantially right angle along the folding line 6 and deformed into a shape separated into a continuous lower portion 31 and an upper portion 32. Strictly speaking, the surface portion at this time is bent along the outer folding line portion 6a and the inner folding line portion 6b of the folding line 6. In the corner pad material 1Bb in the first deformed form, the surface portion 2 is deformed into a shape separated by the second cut 7A into a lower portion 21 and an upper portion 22 that are separated from each other at a substantially right angle.

[0084] Moreover, in the corner protection material 1Bb of the first modified form, as shown in FIG. 10, a protrusion 75 and a depression 76 of similar shape formed by the second cut 7A appear in the portion folded along the folding line 6 of the surface portion 3.

[0085] The protruding portion 75 is a portion that protrudes from the lower portion 31 of the surface portion 3 so as to continue beyond the folding line 6 . Protruding portion 75 in the second embodiment appears as a plate-like portion having an external shape corresponding to rising line portions 71a, 71b and connecting line portion 72 of second cut 7A shown in Fig. 8. Specifically, protruding portion 75 has an external shape in which approximately two-thirds of the upper portion is circular and approximately one-third of the lower portion is tapered inward.

[0086] The recess 76 is a recess formed of a space remaining after the protrusion 75 is hollowed out on the upper portion 32 of the surface portion 3 at the folding line 6 as a boundary. The recessed portion 76 in the second embodiment appears as a hollowed-out portion having an external shape corresponding to the rising line portions 71a, 71b and the connecting line portion 72 of the second cut 7A shown in Fig. 8. In other words, the recessed portion 76 is a recessed portion having a shape similar to that of the protruding portion 75 remaining after the protruding portion 75 is removed from the upper portion 32 of the surface portion 3.

[0087] In addition, in the corner protection material 1Bb of the first deformed form, as shown in Figure 10, opposing curved end portions 85, 86 formed by the third cut 8A appear at the ends of the lower portion 21 and the upper portion 22 separated by the third cut 8A of the surface portion 2.

[0088] In the corner pad 1Bb, a curved end 85 appears at the cut-off end of the lower portion 21 of the surface portion 2, and a curved end 86 appears at the cut-off end of the upper portion 22 of the surface portion 2. Both of the curved ends 85, 86 appearing on the surface portion 2 are end portions having a shape having a curved portion corresponding to the linear shape of the third cut 8A.

[0089] The curved end portions 85 and 86 in the second embodiment appear as end portions formed of linear shapes combining a curved portion 81 and a straight portion 82 of the third cut 8A shown in FIG. 9(A).

[0090] Specifically, one of the curved ends 85 is obtained as an end corresponding to a shape combining the major curve portion 81a, the minor curve portion 81b, and the connecting curve portion 81c of the curved portion 81 shown in Figure 9 (A) with the inclined portion 82a and the horizontal portion 82b of the straight portion 82. Moreover, the other curved end 86 is obtained as an end corresponding to the above combined shape similar to the curved end 85. The curved end 86 is obtained as an end of the opposite shape that remains when the curved end 85 is removed from the surface portion 2.

[0091] In the corner pad 1Bb, when the surface portion 2 is separated into the lower portion 21 and the upper portion 22 at the third cut 8A by bending the surface portion 3 at the bending line 6, the separation operation is easily performed. That is, in the corner pad material 1Bb, when the surface portion 2 is separated into the lower portion 21 and the upper portion 22, the movement trajectories of a part (connecting curved portion 81c) of the curved portion 81 of the third cut 8A do not overlap and come into contact. Furthermore, when separating this surface portion 2 into the lower portion 21 and the upper portion 22, there is no need to first perform extra or pre-processing such as shifting the protruding portion of the curved end portion 85 to separate it from the upper portion 32 of the surface portion 3.

[0092] Moreover, when the surface portion 3 of the corner pad 1B is folded back at the folding line 6, it can be made into a corner pad 1Bc in a second modified form shown in FIG. 11(A).

[0093] The corner pad 1Bc in the second deformed form is obtained when the surface portion 3 is folded back at an angle of approximately 180 degrees along the folding line 6. The surface portion 3 at this time is configured so as not to break at the outer folding line portion 6a and the inner folding line portion 6b of the folding line 6.

[0094] In the corner pad 1Bc in the second deformed form, the surface portion 3 is deformed into a shape in which the lower portion 31 and the upper portion 32 overlap back-to-back with the folding line 6 interposed therebetween. In the corner pad material 1Bc in the second deformed form, the surface portion 2 is deformed into a shape in which the lower portion 21 and the upper portion 22 are adjacent to each other with the bent portion 4 interposed therebetween.

[0095] In addition, as shown in Figure 12, the second deformed form of the corner protection material 1Bc has a protrusion 75 appearing at the folded end of the lower part 31 when the face portion 3 is folded back, while a recess 76 similar in shape to the protrusion 75 appears at the folded end of the upper part 32 when the face portion 3 is folded back.

[0096] At this time, the protrusion 75 and the recess 76 are formed by the second cut 7A having a curved portion 81 having three line portions extending so as to intersect at different angles with the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4 as described above. Therefore, the protrusions 75 and depressions 76 formed by the second cuts 7A also have outer shape portions that intersect with the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4 at different angles. At this time, the back side or rear of the recess 76 is blocked by the presence of the folded-back lower portion 31 of the surface portion 3.

[0097] Moreover, even in the second deformed form of the corner protection material 1Bc, as shown in Figure 12, a curved end 85 appears at the cut-off end of the cut-off lower portion 21 of the surface portion 2, while a curved end 86 appears at the cut-off end of the cut-off upper portion 22.

[0098] At this time, the curved end 85 becomes an end having a rounded convex portion 85j that protrudes diagonally upward as shown in Fig. 12. The convex portion 85j is a portion formed by the large curve portion 81a in the third cut 8A shown in Fig. 9(A) and a part of the subsequent inclined portion 82a and the connecting curve portion 81c. In this case, the curved end 86 has a shape including a rounded recess 86k recessed obliquely downward. The recess 86k is formed mainly by the small curved portion 81b in the third cut 8A shown in FIG. 9(A) and the connecting curved portion 81c and horizontal portion 82b that follow the small curved portion 81b.

[0099] Furthermore, the corner pad 1Bc in the second modified form also has a T-shaped portion as shown in FIG. 11(B) when viewed from above. In other words, when viewed from above, the corner pad 1Bc also has a T-shape, with surface portion 3 having lower portion 21 and upper portion 22 overlapping each other, and surface portion 2 having lower portion 21 and upper portion 22 adjacent to each other, intersecting at approximately a right angle.

[0100] (Example of using corner pad 1B) When the corner pad material 1B is used by itself, it can be used in the same manner as the corner pad material 1A according to the first embodiment (see FIG. 4). That is, the corner pad 1B can be used in its undeformed form (see FIG. 6) or as the corner pad 1Bc in the second deformed form (see FIG. 11).

[0101] In this case, the corner pad 1B in the undeformed form is used by pressing it against a desired corner of the load 100. The corner pad 1Bc in the second deformed form is used by pressing it against at least a part of the corner between adjacent baggage 101 on the inside of the side surface of the load 100 in the vertical and horizontal directions.

[0102] Furthermore, when the corner protection material 1B is used in an undeformed form, it can prevent cargo from falling apart at the four corners 100a, 100b, 100c, and 100d, which are examples of corners of the load 100, in the same way as the corner protection material 1A of embodiment 1. Furthermore, when the above-mentioned second deformed form of corner protection material 1Bc is used, as in the case of the second deformed form of corner protection material 1Ac of embodiment 1, it is possible to prevent cargo from falling over at inner positions such as the center of the load 100.

[0103] Furthermore, the corner pad material 1Bb in the first modified form can also be used in the same manner as the corner pad material 1Ab in the first modified form according to the first embodiment (see FIG. 5). In this case, the corner pad 1Bb is used in a state where it is pressed against at least a part of the corner between adjacent pieces of luggage 101 vertically and horizontally on the inside of the side surface of the load 100.

[0104] (Example of using 1B corner pads together) In addition, the corner pad material 1Bc in the second modified form can be used in a state in which, for example, two corner pad materials 1B are connected together, as shown in FIG.

[0105] The connected state at this time is similar to a temporary fastening state. This connected state can also be said to be a joined state. This point is the same in the following embodiments and modified examples. FIG. 13 shows a case where an upper corner pad material 1Bc(K) arranged above is connected to a lower corner pad material 1Bc(J) arranged below.

[0106] In this connection, as shown in Fig. 13(B), the protrusion 75A of the lower corner pad material 1Bc(J) is fitted into the recess 76B of the upper corner pad material 1Bc(K). Also, in this connection, the protrusion 75B of the upper corner pad material 1Bc(K) is fitted into the recess 76A of the lower corner pad material 1Bc(J). The corner pads 1Bc(J) and 1Bc(K) are connected to each other by fitting the protruding portions 75A, 75B into the recessed portions 76B, 76A.

[0107] At this time, the protrusions 75A, 75B fitted into the recesses 76B, 76A are kept in a stable fit because the back or rear side of the recesses 76B, 76A is blocked by the upper part 32 of the face portion 3 which is folded back as described above.

[0108] In this case, as shown in Fig. 13(B), the curved end 85A of the lower corner pad material 1Bc(J) is fitted with the curved end 86B of the upper corner pad material 1Bc(K). Also, the curved end 85B of the upper corner pad material 1Bc(K) is fitted with the curved end 86A of the lower corner pad material 1Bc(J). The corner pads 1Bc(J) and 1Bc(K) are also connected to each other by fitting together the curved ends 85A, 86A and the curved ends 86B, 85B.

[0109] Furthermore, the connecting operation of the two corner pads 1Bc(J) and 1Bc(K) in this case is actually carried out as follows.

[0110] That is, in this case, the connecting work is performed by sliding and fitting the curved end 86B and the curved end 85B of the upper corner pad 1Bc(K) into the curved end 85A and the curved end 86A of the lower corner pad 1Bc(J), as shown in Figure 14(A). In the example shown in FIG. 14, the upper corner pad 1Bc(K) is moved obliquely downward as indicated by the arrow S relative to the lower corner pad 1Bc(J) so as to be united with it.

[0111] As a result, the lower corner protection material 1Bc(J) and the upper corner protection material 1Bc(K) are fitted together with the curved end 86B and curved end 85B of the corner protection material 1Bc(K) respectively, as shown in Figure 14(B). More specifically, curved end 85A is fitted with curved end 86B by fitting convex portion 85j into concave portion 86k (see FIG. 12) of curved end 86B. Curved end 86A is also fitted with curved end 85B by fitting convex portion 85j (see FIG. 12) of curved end 85B into concave portion 86k.

[0112] In this case, the connecting operation causes the protrusion 75A of the lower corner pad material 1Bc(J) to fit into the recess 76B of the upper corner pad material 1Bc(K) as shown in Fig. 14(B). At almost the same time, the protrusion 75B of the upper corner pad material 1Bc(K) is fitted into the recess 76A of the lower corner pad material 1Bc(J).

[0113] Here, the protruding portions 75A, 75B and the recessed portions 76A, 76B have outer shapes that intersect at different angles with respect to the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4 as described above. For this reason, when the protrusions 75A, 75B and the recesses 76A, 76B are fitted together, even if an external force is applied that pulls in a direction E that is parallel to the faces of the protrusions 75A, 75B, etc. and at least parallel to the bending portion 4, there will be portions of the protrusions 75A, 75B and the recesses 76A, 76B that collide with each other. As a result, protrusions 75A, 75B and recesses 76A, 76B become connecting means that are difficult to come off or come undone at least in direction E parallel to bent portion 4. Note that protrusions 75A, 75B and recesses 76A, 76B are also connecting means that are difficult to come off in all directions other than direction E parallel to bent portion 4, provided that the external force is parallel to the surfaces of protrusions 75A, 75B, etc.

[0114] Therefore, the lower corner pad 1Bc(J) and the upper corner pad 1Bc(K) in the connected state are connected by fitting the protrusions 75A, 75B and the recesses 76A, 76B as the connecting means described above, and therefore the connection is maintained in a state where it is difficult to release. In addition, the lower corner protection material 1Bc(J) and the upper corner protection material 1Bc(K) in the connected state are also connected by fitting the curved ends 85A, 86A and the curved ends 86B, 85B together, so that the connection is kept in a state where it is less likely to come undone even if an external force is applied that pulls in the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4.

[0115] In contrast to this, when a second cut 700A such as the corner patch material 110B for comparison shown on the left side of FIG. 33(A) is adopted, the following result is obtained. At this time, the second cut 700A is a cut having a linear shape of a bent line extending in a tapered shape, and has two line portions 701 and 702. Moreover, this second cut 700A has two line portions 701 and 702 as line portions that intersect with a direction E parallel to the bent portion 4 at different angles.

[0116] When this comparative corner pad 110B is folded back at the folding line 6, it becomes a corner pad 110Bc in a second deformed form shown on the right side of FIG. 33(A). In the corner patch material 110Bc of the second modified form, a protrusion 750A and a depression 760A appear, which are formed by the second cuts 700A. However, when the protrusion 750A and the recess 760A are used as a connecting means, they become a connecting means that is easily removed at least in the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4.

[0117] Moreover, when a second cut 700B such as the corner patch material 120B for comparison illustrated on the left side of FIG. 33(B) is adopted, the following result is obtained. In this case, the second cut 700B is a cut having a linear shape of a broken line that is bent twice at a right angle, and has three line portions 711, 712, and 713. The second cut 700B also has one line portion 713 as a line portion that intersects with the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4 at a different angle. The line portions 711 and 712 are line portions that extend parallel to the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4.

[0118] When this comparative corner pad 120B is folded back at the folding line 6, it becomes a corner pad 120Bc of a second deformed form shown on the right side of FIG. 33(B). In the corner patch material 120Bc of the second deformed form, a protrusion 750B and a depression 760B appear, which are obtained by forming the second cut 700B as shown on the right side of Fig. 33(B). When used as a connecting means, the protrusion 750B and the depression 760B become connecting means that are easy to come off at least in the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4.

[0119] Embodiment 3 15 and 16 are a perspective view and four side views of a corner pad 1C according to the third embodiment of the present invention. The corner protection material 1C of embodiment 3 differs from the corner protection material 1B of embodiment 2 in that the third notch 8A is changed to a different third notch 8B, but otherwise has substantially the same configuration.

[0120] As shown in FIG. 17, the third cut 8B in the third embodiment is configured as a linear cut that combines a curved portion 81 and a straight portion 82.

[0121] As shown in FIG. 17, the straight portion 82 has a first horizontal portion 82c and a second horizontal portion 82d. The first horizontal portion 82c is a straight portion that extends horizontally in the left-right direction from the side edge 3a, which is also one of the long sides of the surface portion 3, toward the inside to one end of the curved portion 81. The second horizontal portion 82d is a straight portion that extends horizontally along the left-right direction from the bent portion 4 toward the outside to the other end of the curved portion 81.

[0122] As shown in FIG. 17, the curved portion 81 has a first curved portion 81d, a second curved portion 81e, and a third curved portion 81f. The first curved portion 81d is an arc-shaped curved portion that rises from the end of the first horizontal portion 82c of the straight portion 82 and extends while curving so as to approach the bent portion 4. The second curved portion 81e is an arc-shaped curved portion that rises from the end of the second horizontal portion 82d of the straight portion 82 and extends while curving so as to approach the bent portion 4. The third curved portion 81f is an arc-shaped curved portion that extends while bending so as to be connected to the upper end of the first curved portion 81d and the upper end of the second curved portion 81e.

[0123] In addition, with regard to the second curved portion 81e, from the viewpoint of facilitating the detachment movement at the third notch 8B of the face portion 2 when the face portion 3 is bent, the second curved portion 81e is made into a curved portion consisting of an arc centered on the fulcrum when bending the face portion 3 at the bending line 6.

[0124] (Deformed shape of corner pad 1C) For example, when the surface portion 3 of the corner pad 1C is folded at a folding line 6 at a substantially right angle, it can be made into a corner pad 1Cb in a first deformed form shown in FIG.

[0125] In the first deformed form of the corner protection material 1Cb, as in the case of the corner protection material 1Bb of embodiment 2, as shown in Figure 18, a similar protrusion 75 and a recess 76 are formed by the second incision 7A in the portion folded along the folding line 6 of the surface portion 3. In addition, in the corner protection material 1Cb of the first deformed form, as shown in Figure 18, opposing curved end portions 85C, 86C formed by the third cut 8B appear at the ends of the lower portion 21 and the upper portion 22 separated by the third cut 8B of the surface portion 2.

[0126] Here, it is assumed that a curved end 85C appears at the cut-off end of the lower portion 21 of the surface portion 2, and a curved end 86C appears at the cut-off end of the upper portion 22 of the surface portion 2. Both of the curved ends 85C, 86C appearing on the surface portion 2 are end portions having a shape having a curved portion corresponding to the linear shape of the third cut 8B.

[0127] The curved end portions 85C and 86C in the third embodiment appear as end portions formed of linear shapes that combine the curved portion 81 and the straight portion 82 shown in FIG. 18(B).

[0128] Specifically, one of the curved ends 85C is obtained as an end corresponding to a shape obtained by combining the first curved portion 81d, the second curved portion 81e, and the third curved portion 81f of the curved portion 81 shown in Figure 17 and the first horizontal portion 82c and the second horizontal portion 82d of the straight portion 82. The other curved end 86C is obtained as an end corresponding to the above combined shape similar to the curved end 85C. The curved end 86C is obtained as an end of the opposite shape that remains when the curved end 85C is removed from the surface portion 2.

[0129] In the corner protection material 1Cb as well, when the surface portion 2 is separated into the lower portion 21 and the upper portion 22 at the third cut 8B by bending the surface portion 3 at the bending line 6, the separation operation is easily performed. That is, in the corner covering material 1Cb, when the surface portion 2 is separated into the lower portion 21 and the upper portion 22, the movement trajectories of a part of the curved portion 81 of the third cut 8B (particularly the third curved portion 81f) do not overlap and come into contact with each other. Furthermore, when separating this surface portion 2 into the lower portion 21 and the upper portion 22, there is no need to first perform extra or pre-processing such as shifting the protruding portion of the curved end portion 85C to separate it from the upper portion 32 of the surface portion 3.

[0130] Moreover, when the surface portion 3 of the corner pad 1C is folded back along the folding line 6, for example, it can be made into a corner pad 1Cc in a second modified form shown in FIG.

[0131] The second deformed form of the corner protection material 1Cc, like the corner protection material 1Bc of embodiment 2, has similar protrusions 75 and recesses 76 that appear separately at the ends of the folded lower and upper portions 31 and 32 of the face portion 3, as shown in Figure 19. In addition, as shown in Figure 19, the second deformed form of the corner protection material 1Cc has a curved end 85C appearing at the cut-off end of the cut-off lower portion 21 of the surface portion 2, while a curved end 86C appears at the cut-off end of the cut-off upper portion 22.

[0132] 19, the curved end 85C has a rounded convex portion extending obliquely upward on the side approaching the bent portion 4. The convex portion is a portion that is mainly formed by the third curved portion 81f (FIG. 17) in the third cut 8B. Moreover, the curved end 86C at this time has a shape having a rounded recess extending obliquely downward on the side approaching the bent portion 4. The recess is a portion that is mainly formed by the third curved portion 81f (FIG. 17) in the third cut 8B.

[0133] Furthermore, the corner protection material 1Cc in the second modified form also has a form having a T-shaped portion when viewed from above, similar to the case of the corner protection material 1Bc according to the second embodiment. In other words, when viewed from above, the corner support material 1Cc has a shape that resembles the letter T, with surface portion 3 having lower portion 31 and upper portion 32 overlapping each other, and surface portion 2 having lower portion 21 and upper portion 22 adjacent to each other, intersecting at approximately a right angle.

[0134] (Example of using corner patch material 1C) When the corner pad 1C is used by itself, it can be used in the same manner as the corner pad 1A according to the first embodiment (see FIG. 4). That is, the corner pad 1C can be used in its undeformed form (see FIG. 15) or as the corner pad 1Cc in the second deformed form (see FIG. 19). When the corner protection material 1C is used in this manner, the same effects as those obtained when the corner protection material 1B according to the second embodiment described above is used can be obtained.

[0135] Furthermore, the first deformed form of the corner protection material 1Cb shown in FIG. 18 can also be used in substantially the same manner as the first deformed form of the corner protection material 1Ab according to embodiment 1 (see FIG. 5). In this case, the corner pad 1Cb is used in a state where it is pressed against at least a part of the corner between adjacent pieces of luggage 101 vertically and horizontally on the inside of the side surface of the load 100.

[0136] In addition, the corner pad material 1Cc in the second modified form can be used in a state in which, for example, two corner pad materials 1C are connected (or joined) together, as shown in FIG. FIG. 20 shows a case where an upper corner pad material 1Cc(K) arranged above is connected to a lower corner pad material 1Cc(J) arranged below.

[0137] In this connection, as shown in Fig. 20, the protrusion 75A of the lower corner pad material 1Cc(J) is fitted into the recess 76B of the upper corner pad material 1Cc(K). Also, in this connection, the protrusion 75B of the upper corner pad material 1Cc(K) is fitted into the recess 76A of the lower corner pad material 1Cc(J). The corner pads 1Cc(J), 1Cc(K) are connected to each other by fitting the protruding portions 75A, 75B into the recessed portions 76B, 76A.

[0138] In this connection, as shown in Figures 20 and 21, the convex portion at the curved end 85Ca of the lower corner pad material 1Cc(J) is fitted into the concave portion at the curved end 86Cb of the upper corner pad material 1Cc(K). Also, the convex portion at the curved end 85Cb of the upper corner pad material 1Cc(K) is fitted into the concave portion at the curved end 86Ca of the lower corner pad material 1Cc(J). The corner pads 1Cc(J) and 1Cc(K) are also connected to each other by fitting together the curved ends 85Ca, 86Ca and the curved ends 86Cb, 85Cb.

[0139] Here, as described above, protrusions 75A, 75B and recesses 76A, 76B serve as connecting means that are difficult to come off or come undone at least in direction E parallel to bent portion 4. Note that protrusions 75A, 75B and recesses 76A, 76B also serve as connecting means that are difficult to come off in all directions other than direction E parallel to bent portion 4, provided that the external force is parallel to the surfaces of protrusions 75A, 75B, etc. Therefore, when the lower corner pad 1Cc(J) and the upper corner pad 1Cc(K) are connected together, the connection is maintained in a state in which the connection is difficult to release, since the connection is achieved by fitting the protrusions 75A, 75B and the recesses 76A, 76B as the connecting means described above.

[0140] Further, the curved ends 85Ca, 85Cb and the curved ends 86Ca, 86Cb have outer shapes that intersect with the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4 at different angles. Therefore, when the curved ends 85Ca, 85Cb and the curved ends 86Ca, 86Cb are fitted together, even if they are subjected to an external force that is parallel to the plane of the curved ends 85Ca, 85Cb, etc. and is pulled in a direction E that is at least parallel to the bending portion 4, there will be areas where the curved ends 85Ca, 85Cb and the curved ends 86Ca, 86Cb will collide with each other. As a result, the curved ends 85Ca, 85Cb and the curved ends 86Ca, 86Cb also become connecting means that are difficult to come off or come undone at least in the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4. Note that the curved ends 85Ca, 85Cb and the curved ends 86Ca, 86Cb also become connecting means that are difficult to come off in all directions other than the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4 if an external force is parallel to the surface of the curved ends 85Ca, 85Cb, etc.

[0141] Therefore, when the lower corner pad 1Cc(J) and the upper corner pad 1Cc(K) are connected, the connection is also achieved by fitting or interlocking the curved ends 85Ca, 85Cb and the curved ends 86Ca, 86Cb together as the connecting means described above, making the connection less likely to come undone.

[0142] Embodiment 4 22 and 23 are a perspective view and four views of a corner pad 1D according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention. When compared with the corner protection material 1C (see Figure 15) of embodiment 3, the corner protection material 1D of embodiment 4 differs in that it adopts a third notch 8C that is slightly different from the second notch 7B, but otherwise has substantially the same configuration.

[0143] As shown in FIG. 24, the second cut 7B in the fourth embodiment is configured as a cut consisting of a folded line 73 that crosses the surface portion 3 and is interrupted only by the folding line 6d that cuts into the surface portion 2. The bent line 73 of the second cut 7B is made up of three line portions: a downward oblique line portion 73a, an upward line portion 73b, and a horizontal line portion 73c.

[0144] The downward oblique line portion 73 a of the bend line 73 is a downward oblique line that descends inward from the side edge 3 a , which is the long side of the surface portion 3 , and is a straight line portion that extends to a position just before the bent portion 4 . The rising line portion 73b of the folded line 73 is a straight line portion extending in the vertical direction parallel to the bent portion 4 from the end (lower end) of the downward oblique line portion 73a. The rising line portion 73b extends up to the same height position as the starting end (upper end) of the downward oblique line portion 73a. The horizontal line portion 73c of the bent line 73 is a straight line portion that extends horizontally in the left-right direction from the upper end of the rising line portion 73b to the bent portion 4.

[0145] The bend line 6d is formed so as to extend from the end of the horizontal line portion 73c of the bend line 73 into a part of the surface portion 2.

[0146] The third cut 8C in the fourth embodiment is a cut having a linear shape obtained by vertically inverting the third cut 8B (see FIG. 17) in the third embodiment at linear portions 82c and 82d. For this reason, the third cut 8C, like the third cut 8B in embodiment 3, is a linear cut that combines a curved portion 81 having a first curved portion 81d, a second curved portion 81e, and a third curved portion 81f, and a straight portion 82 having a first horizontal portion 82c and a second horizontal portion 82d.

[0147] (Deformed shape of corner pad 1D) When the surface portion 3 of the corner pad 1D is folded back along the folding line 6d, it can be made into a corner pad 1Dc in a second modified form shown in FIG.

[0148] As shown in Figures 24(B) and 25, the second deformed form of corner protection material 1Dc has similar protrusions 75D and recesses 76D formed by the second cuts 7B at the ends of the lower portion 31 and upper portion 32 folded along the folding line 6d of the surface portion 3. In this case, the recess 76D appears at the folded end of the lower portion 31. The protrusion 75D appears at the folded end of the upper portion 32.

[0149] The protruding portion 75D is a portion that protrudes obliquely upward at an acute angle in correspondence with the folding line 73 of the second cut 7B. The recessed portion 76D is a recessed portion having a shape corresponding to the protruding portion 75D. Specifically, the recessed portion 76D is a recessed portion that protrudes obliquely downward at an acute angle corresponding to the folding line 73 of the second cut 7B. Moreover, the back side or rear of the recessed portion 76D is present so as to be covered by the upper portion 32 of the face portion 3 consisting of the protruding portion 75D.

[0150] In addition, in the second deformed form of the corner protection material 1Dc, as shown in Figure 25, opposing curved end portions 85D, 86D formed by the third cut 8C appear at the ends of the lower portion 21 and upper portion 22 separated by the third cut 8C of the surface portion 2. In this corner pad 1Dc, a curved end 86D appears at the cut-off end of the lower portion 21 of the surface portion 2, and a curved end 85D appears at the cut-off end of the upper portion 22 of the surface portion 2.

[0151] Both of the curved ends 85D, 86D are ends having a shape having a curved portion corresponding to the linear shape of the third cut 8C. 17. Moreover, the curved end 85D is obtained as an end corresponding to a protruding shape obtained by combining the first curved portion 81d, the second curved portion 81e, and the third curved portion 81f of the curved portion 81 shown in FIG. 17 and the first horizontal portion 82c and the second horizontal portion 82d of the straight portion 82. Furthermore, the other curved end 86D is obtained as an end corresponding to the above combined shape similar to the curved end 85D. The curved end 86D is obtained as an end of an opposite shape that remains when the curved end 85D is removed from the surface portion 2.

[0152] In addition, when the surface portion 3 of the corner protection material 1D is folded at approximately a right angle at the folding line 6d and maintained in this state, it can be made into a corner protection material of a first deformed form, approximately similar to the corner protection material 1Cb of the first deformed form of the corner protection material 1C of embodiment 3 (see Figure 18).

[0153] (Example of using 1D corner pad) When the corner pad 1D is used by itself, it can be used in the same manner as the corner pad 1A according to the first embodiment (see FIG. 4). That is, the corner pad 1D can be used in its undeformed form (see FIG. 22) or as the corner pad 1Dc in the second deformed form (see FIG. 25). When the corner protection material 1D is used in this manner, the same effects as those obtained when the corner protection material 1B according to the second embodiment described above is used can be obtained.

[0154] In addition, the corner protection material 1D can also be used for the corner protection material of the first deformed form in substantially the same manner as the corner protection material 1Ab of the first deformed form according to embodiment 1 (see FIG. 5).

[0155] In addition, the corner pad material 1Dc in the second modified form can be used in a state in which, for example, two corner pad materials 1D are connected (or joined) together, as shown in FIG. FIG. 26 shows a case where an upper corner pad material 1Dc(K) arranged above is connected to a lower corner pad material 1Dc(J) arranged below.

[0156] In this connection, as shown in Figures 26 and 27, the protrusion 75Da of the lower corner pad material 1Dc(J) is fitted into the recess 76Db of the upper corner pad material 1Dc(K). Also, in this connection, the protrusion 75Db of the upper corner pad material 1Dc(K) is fitted into the recess 76Da of the lower corner pad material 1Dc(J). These fittings can be performed, for example, by moving the lower end of the upper corner pad material 1Dc(K) closer to the upper end of the lower corner pad material 1Dc(J). The corner pads 1Dc(J), 1Dc(K) are connected to each other by fitting the protrusions 75Da, 75Db into the recesses 76Da, 76Db.

[0157] In this connection, as shown in Fig. 26, the convex portion at the curved end 85Da of the lower corner pad material 1Dc(J) is fitted into the concave portion at the curved end 86Db of the upper corner pad material 1Dc(K). Also, the convex portion at the curved end 85Db of the upper corner pad material 1Dc(K) is fitted into the concave portion at the curved end 86Da of the lower corner pad material 1Dc(J). The corner pads 1Dc(J) and 1Dc(K) are also connected to each other by fitting the curved ends 85Da, 86Db and the curved ends 86Da, 85Db together.

[0158] Here, the curved ends 85Da, 86Db and the curved ends 86Da, 85Db have outer shape portions that intersect with the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4 at different angles. For this reason, when the curved ends 85Da, 86Db and the curved ends 86Da, 85Db are fitted together, even if they are subjected to an external force pulling in a direction E that is parallel to the plane of the curved ends 85Da, 86Db, etc. and at least parallel to the bending portion 4, there will be areas where the curved ends 85Da, 86Db and the curved ends 86Da, 85Db will collide with each other. As a result, the curved ends 85Da, 86Db and the curved ends 86Da, 85Db become connecting means that are difficult to come off or come undone at least in the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4. Note that the curved ends 85Da, 86Db and the curved ends 86Da, 85Db are also connecting means that are difficult to come off in all directions other than the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4, if an external force is parallel to the plane of the curved ends 85Da, 86Db, etc.

[0159] Therefore, when the lower corner pad 1Dc(J) and the upper corner pad 1Dc(K) are connected together, the connection is maintained in a state in which it is difficult to release the connection, since the connection is made by fitting or interlocking the curved ends 85Da, 86Db and the curved ends 86Da, 85Db together as the connecting means described above.

[0160] Variations. The present invention is not limited to the configurations exemplified as the above-mentioned embodiments 1 to 4, and various modifications, alterations, and combinations are possible within the scope of the gist of each invention described in the claims. Therefore, the present invention also includes, for example, the following modified examples.

[0161] (Variation 1) The corner pad 1 may be a corner pad 1E in which the second cut 7 is a second cut 7C formed by a folded line 74 as illustrated on the left side of FIG. 28(A). The bend line 74 of the second cut 7C is a bend line having a first oblique line portion 74a and a second oblique line portion 74b. The first oblique line portion 74a is a straight line portion extending obliquely upward to the right from the end of the outer fold line portion 6a. The second oblique line portion 74b is a straight line portion extending obliquely upward to the right from the end (left end) of the first oblique line portion 74a and the inner fold line portion 6b.

[0162] The upper end of the first oblique line portion 74a is shifted in a direction closer to the bent portion 4 (to the right) than the end of the inner fold line portion 6b or the lower end of the second oblique line portion 74b. The upper end of the first oblique line portion 74a is also the upper end of the second oblique line portion 74b. Therefore, the second cut 7C can be said to be a cut having a linear shape that leans to the right and protrudes at an acute angle. The second cut 7C is a cut having two line portions, a first oblique portion 74a and a second oblique portion 74b, that intersect at a different angle with the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4.

[0163] When the surface portion 3 of the corner pad 1E to which the second cuts 7C have been applied is folded back along the folding lines 6, it becomes the corner pad 1Ec in a second deformed form, a part of which is shown on the right side of FIG. 28(A). In the corner pad 1Ec of this second modified form, as shown on the right side of FIG. 28(A), a protrusion 75E and a depression 76E of similar shapes formed by the second cuts 7C appear at the folded-back end of the surface portion 3.

[0164] In this case, protrusion 75E and recess 76E are two line portions that intersect at different angles with direction E parallel to bent portion 4. However, when protrusion 75E and recess 76E are subjected to an external force parallel to the surface of protrusion 75E, etc. and along direction E parallel to bent portion 4, the portions of folding line 74 corresponding to first oblique line portion 74a and second oblique line portion 74b become portions that are difficult to move. Therefore, the corner patch materials 1E connected by fitting the protruding portions 75E and the recessed portions 76E together are less likely to come loose or come off in the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4.

[0165] (Variation 2) The corner pad 1 may be a corner pad 1F in which the second cut 7 is a second cut 7D formed by a folded line 74 as illustrated on the left side of FIG. 28(B).

[0166] The folded line 74 of the second cut 7D is a folded line having a first oblique line portion 74c, a second oblique line portion 74d, and a horizontal line portion 74e. The first oblique line portion 74c is a straight line portion extending diagonally upward to the left from the end of the outer fold line portion 6a. The second oblique line portion 74d is a straight line portion extending diagonally upward to the right from the end (left end) of the inner fold line portion 6b. The horizontal line portion 74e is a straight line portion extending substantially horizontally, connecting the upper end of the first oblique line portion 74c and the upper end of the second oblique line portion 74d.

[0167] The second cut 7D is a cut having two line portions that intersect with a direction E parallel to the bent portion 4 at a different angle, that is, a first oblique line portion 74c and a second oblique line portion 74d.

[0168] When the surface portion 3 of the corner pad 1F to which the second cut 7D has been applied is folded back along the folding line 6, it becomes the corner pad 1Fc in a second deformed form, a part of which is shown on the right side of FIG. 28(B). In the corner pad 1Fc of this second modified form, as shown on the right side of FIG. 28(B), a protrusion 75F and a depression 76F of similar shapes formed by the second cuts 7D appear at the folded-back end of the surface portion 3.

[0169] Furthermore, in this case, protrusion 75F and recess 76F are two line portions that intersect at different angles with direction E parallel to bent portion 4. However, when protrusion 75F and recess 76F are subjected to an external force parallel to the surface of protrusion 75F etc. and along direction E parallel to bent portion 4, the portions corresponding to first oblique line portion 74c and second oblique line portion 74d of fold line 74 become portions that are difficult to move. In particular, protrusion 75F and recess 76F are oblique lines inclined to opposite sides of first oblique line portion 74c and second oblique line portion 74d with respect to parallel direction E. Therefore, when fitted, they are even less likely to come off or become dislodged in the direction E parallel to bend portion 4 compared to the case of protrusion 75E and recess 76E (see the right side of FIG. 28(B)).

[0170] As a result, the corner patch materials 1F connected by fitting the protruding portions 75F and the recessed portions 76F together are less likely to come loose or come off in the direction E parallel to the bent portion 4.

[0171] (Variation 3) Furthermore, the corner pad 1 may be a corner pad 1G in which the cut 5C illustrated in FIG. 29 is applied as the straight cut 5.

[0172] The cut 5C is provided in addition to the cut 5 consisting of a horizontal straight line at another location on the surface portion 2 as a cut consisting of the same horizontal straight line. In addition, in the corner pad 1G in this case, a bending line 6C consisting of a straight line extending substantially horizontally from the end 5b of the cut 5C to the side edge 3a of the surface portion 3 is provided. In other words, the corner pad material 1G corresponds to the corner pad material 1A according to embodiment 1 to which the incision 5C and the folding line 6C are added. Therefore, the corner pad material 1G has the same configuration as the corner pad material 1A except for the added portions.

[0173] When the surface portion 3 of this corner pad 1G is folded inward at a substantially right angle along the folding line 6C, it becomes a corner pad 1Gc in a third modified form as shown in FIG. In the corner pad 1Gc of this third modified form, as shown in FIG. 30, by bending at the bending line 6C, the lower portion of the lower portion 31 of the surface portion 3 becomes a bent lower portion 33 bent at a substantially right angle. In the corner pad material 1Gc of the third modified form, as shown in Fig. 30, the lower part of the lower part 21 of the surface part 2 is cut off at the cut 5C and bent at a right angle to become the bent lower part 23 which overlaps in part. The overlapping part is shown by the dotted part in Fig. 30.

[0174] In addition, if it is not desired to create the overlapping portion in the third modified form of the corner protection material 1Gc, the corner protection material 1G may be provided with a triangular cutout portion 80 shown by the dotted line in Figure 29 instead of the straight cut 5C. The cutout portion 80 is formed by cutting lines 56, 57 consisting of two straight lines that are in contact with the bent portion 4 at an angle of 45 degrees and intersect with each other at an angle of 90 degrees. The corner pad material 1Gc, which is obtained by bending the modified example of the corner pad material 1G provided with the cutout portion 80 along the bending line 6C, is as follows: That is, in the corner pad material 1Gc, when the surface portion 3 is folded along the bending line 6C, the ends of the two cutting lines 56, 57 that form the cutout portion 80 of the surface portion 2 face each other, as exemplified by the two-dot chain line in Figure 30, and no overlapping portions are generated.

[0175] Incidentally, instead of providing the cutout portion 80 from the beginning, the cutting lines 56, 57 along which the cutout portion 80 should be formed may be formed in advance as cuttable lines such as perforations. In this case, the corner patch material 1G also has a cut 5C formed therein. In this case, if there are circumstances in which it is desired to avoid the occurrence of the overlapping surface portion caused by the cut 5C when the corner pad 1G is bent and deformed at the bend line 6C to form the corner pad 1Gc, the following can be done. That is, in the corner pad material 1G in this case, when it is used, a part of the surface portion 2 is cut away along the cutting lines 56, 57 as possible cutting lines to reveal the cutout portion 80. This makes it possible to avoid the occurrence of the overlapping surface portions in the corner pad material 1Gc obtained by deforming the corner pad material 1G in this case.

[0176] The third deformed form of the corner protection material 1Gc is used by pressing it against at least a portion of the corners of adjacent luggage 101 vertically and horizontally on the inside of the side of the load 100, in much the same manner as the second deformed form of the corner protection material 1Ac of embodiment 1, as shown in Figure 5.

[0177] More specifically, the corner pad material 1Gc at this time has the lower portion 31 and upper portion 32 of the surface portion 3 inserted between the adjacent pieces of luggage 101 of the load 100. Also, the corner pad material 1Gc at this time has the lower portion 21 and upper portion 22 of the surface portion 2, which are positioned to intersect at a substantially right angle, pressed against a part of each side surface (surface) of the adjacent pieces of luggage 101.

[0178] Moreover, in the case of the corner pad 1Gc, the bent lower part 33 of the lower part 31 of the surface part 3, which is bent at a substantially right angle, can be inserted between the upper and lower loads 101. In addition, in the case of the corner pad 1Gc in this case, the bent lower part 23 of the lower part 21 of the surface part 2, which is bent at a substantially right angle, can be pressed against a part of the side of the load 101 above the bent lower part 33.

[0179] When this third deformed form of corner protection material 1Gc is used, it is possible to more reliably prevent cargo collapse at inner positions such as the center of the load 100, compared to when the second deformed form of corner protection material 1Ac in embodiment 1 is used.

[0180] (Variation 4) As illustrated in FIG. 8, the folding line 6 may have a part thereof, that is, an outer folding line portion 6a, formed as a fourth cut 9. If the outer bend line 6a is the fourth cut 9, for example, when the corner pad 1B is bent at the bend line 6 (actually the inner bend line 6b), the protrusion 75 and the recess 76 are easily separated and appear.

[0181] (Variation 5) A plurality of cuts 5, folding lines 6, second cuts 7, third cuts 8, etc. may be provided in one corner patch.

[0182] (Variation 6) When the corner pad 1B etc. of the present invention having the second notch 7 and the third notch 8 etc. is connected to form the corner pad 1Bc of the second deformed form, one half of the corner pad 1Bc (M) may be used as one of the corner pads 1Bc, as illustrated in Figure 31. The other corner pad material 1Bc(M) is, for example, a corner pad material in a form in which the lower portion 21 of the face portion 2 is removed as shown in FIG. 31, or in a form in which it is not used for connection.

[0183] As shown in FIG. 31, this other corner pad material 1Bc(M) can be connected to the corner pad material 1Bc(J) disposed below by moving it close to it from above. In this connection, first, the protruding portion 75A of the lower corner pad material 1Bc(J) is fitted into the recessed portion 76B of the upper half of the corner pad material 1Bc(M). Also, in this connection, the protruding portion 75B of the upper half of the corner pad material 1Bc(M) is fitted into the recessed portion 76A of the lower corner pad material 1Bc(J). Furthermore, in this connection, the curved end 85A of the lower corner pad material 1Bc(J) is fitted into the curved end 86B of the upper half of the corner pad material 1Bc(M).

[0184] As a result, the two corner pads 1Bc(M) and 1Bc(J) are connected by two fits between the protrusions 75A, 75B and the recesses 76B, 76A, and one fit between the curved end 85A and the curved end 86B.

[0185] (Variation 7) Furthermore, any of the above-mentioned corner protection materials 1A, etc. of the present invention may be configured such that the base material, that is, the surface material 10A, is not bent in advance at the bending portion 4, but is bent at the bending portion 4 at the time of use, as shown in Figure 32 as a representative example of the corner protection material 1A.

[0186] Additionally, the corner pad material of the present invention, regardless of the configuration, is preferably manufactured using a single paper face material 10. However, the corner pad material of the present invention may be manufactured using face material 10 of other materials as long as the face material is bendable. Examples of the paper surface material 10 include surface materials made of corrugated paper, thick paper, corrugated plastic (corrugated plastic material), and the like.

With the corner protection material of (((4))), when similar protrusions and recesses are used as connecting means for connecting two corner protection materials, the protrusions and recesses can be made to be connecting means that are less likely to come loose in the direction parallel to the bend, compared to when the second notch is a notch having two or less line portions that intersect at an angle different from the direction parallel to the bend. With the corner protection material of (((5))), the similarly shaped protrusions and recesses formed by the second incisions can be made to be easier to fit together when used as a connecting means for two corner protection materials, compared to when the second incisions are configured as a continuous broken line. According to the corner pad of (((6))), the similarly shaped protrusion and recess formed by the second cut can be used as a means for connecting the two corner pads. According to the corner pad of (((7))), two corner pads can be used in a state where they are connected by similarly shaped protrusions and recesses. With the corner protection material according to (((8))), when the other surface is folded along the fold line, a contrasting curved end portion formed by the third cut line having a curved portion can appear at the end portion separated by the cut in one surface, compared to when the cut is composed only of straight lines. According to the corner pad of (((9))), when the other surface is folded along the folding line, the ends separated by the cut in one surface can be separated without colliding with each other. According to the corner pad of (((10))), the opposing curved end portions can be used as a connecting means for the two corner pads. According to the corner pad according to (((11))), two corner pads can be used in a state where they are connected by their opposing curved ends. With the corner protection material of (((12))), when the other surface is folded along the fold line, similar protrusions and depressions formed by the second notch can easily appear in the folded portion, compared to when the portion of the fold line that reaches the second notch is not a notch. The corner pad according to (((13))) can be manufactured more easily with less waste of material than if it were not made up of a single sheet of panel. The corner pad according to (((14))) can provide a corner pad that is lighter and easier to bend than a surface material that is not made of paper. [Explanation of symbols]
