AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Existing drainage systems with synthetic resin pipes face challenges in effectively absorbing thermal expansion without requiring additional lubrication and ensuring efficient connection methods, as described in Patent Document 1.
Method used
A receiving member made of synthetic resin with a protruding stopper and reduced diameter portion is used to connect pipe components, allowing visual confirmation of abutment and absorbing thermal expansion.
Benefits of technology
The solution effectively absorbs thermal expansion, preventing damage to pipe components and ensuring efficient connection by visually confirming the abutment state, thus improving workability and preventing water stagnation.

Abstract
To suitably absorb thermal elongation of a resin pipe affected by heat.SOLUTION: A socket member 100 is used for connecting a pipe member (a drain collecting pipe 200, a leg part joint) with a synthetic resin drain pipe (an upper vertical pipe 210 or a lateral branch pipe 220 and a lateral branch pipe 230 connected to the drain collecting pipe 200, and a lowest floor drain collecting pipe or a lower vertical pipe connected to the leg part joint). The socket member 100 is made of a hard polyvinyl chloride and has a substantially hollow cylindrical shape. The socket member 100 includes: a projecting stopper 102 projecting to an inner surface of the substantially hollow cylindrical shape of the socket member 100 and extending in a pipe axial direction; and an annular diameter-reduced portion 104 or a projecting diameter-reduced portion formed in an end edge at the pipe member side in the stopper 102. In the case of that the pipe member is the drain collecting pipe 200 and the annular projecting diameter-reduced portion 104, the socket member 100 includes a cutout portion 106 at the lower side at the drain collecting pipe 200 side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
