Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a long LED lighting device. [Background technology]
[0002] There is a need for long LED lighting devices, but various lengths are required depending on the location where the LED lighting device is to be installed. Such LED lighting devices generally have a rectangular LED board with LEDs mounted at a specified pitch on one side of the board, but if a dedicated LED board were to be provided for each required length, the number of types of LED boards would increase, causing problems in management.
[0003] Therefore, it is conceivable to prepare a small number of types of LED substrates with different length dimensions in advance, select from these LED substrates the desired dimensions to achieve the required length, and then connect multiple LED substrates to form a single LED lighting device (see, for example, Patent Document 1). [0004] [Patent Document 1] JP 2024-83307 A (Figs. 7 and 8) Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] In the conventional LED lighting devices described above, connectors and harnesses are used to interconnect LED boards, resulting in gaps between adjacent LED boards. Since no LEDs are present in the gaps, the interconnected areas appear darker than the rest of the LED lighting device, significantly reducing its commercial value. Even if connectors were mounted on the LED boards and directly connected without a harness, the connectors would be visible from the outside, similarly reducing commercial value.
[0006] In view of the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide an LED lighting device in which the connection parts are not visible from the outside even when a plurality of LED boards are connected. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] In order to solve the above problems, the LED lighting device of the present invention is an LED lighting device in which a plurality of rectangular LED substrates, each having a plurality of LEDs mounted at a predetermined pitch on one side, are connected in the longitudinal direction of the LED substrates, and a plurality of conductive parts for supplying electricity to the LEDs mounted on one side are attached to the other side of the LED substrates in parallel to the connecting direction of the LED substrates, and an electrically conductive substrate abutting the other side of the LED substrate and having electrically conductive parts that come into contact with the conductive parts and connect adjacent electrically conductive parts to each other is placed on top of the LED substrates, and power is supplied to the LEDs from the electrically conductive parts via the conductive parts.
[0008] Since the side of the LED board on which the LEDs are mounted does not have any components other than the LEDs, such as connectors, there is no risk of such components other than the LEDs being visible from the outside. Furthermore, since the LED boards are connected to each other via the conductive board, power is supplied to each LED from the conductive part of the conductive board via the conductive part of the LED board.
[0009] The conductive portion does not need to be continuous on the LED substrate, but may be discontinuous within a single LED substrate, with the disconnected portions being interconnected via the conductive portion. [Effects of the Invention]
[0010] As is clear from the above explanation, the present invention allows LED boards to be connected to each other without using any components other than the LEDs, such as connectors, so that components other than the LEDs are not visible from the outside and the value of the LED lighting device is not diminished. [Figure 5] FIG. 10 is a diagram showing another example of a combination of an LED substrate and a conductive substrate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0012] Referring to Figure 1, reference numeral 1 denotes an example of an LED lighting device according to the present invention. This LED lighting device 1 is made of an opaque resin and is composed of a long main body 11, a semi-transparent diffusion cover 12 that fits onto this main body 11, and a pair of caps 13 that fit onto both ends. Reference numeral 14 denotes a connector that detachably connects an external power line.
[0013] The main body 11 holds an LED board 2 on which LEDs 23 are mounted at a predetermined pitch, and a conductive board 3 that is placed on the back surface (the surface opposite to the surface on which the LEDs 23 are mounted) of the LED board 2. When the LEDs 23 emit light, the light emitted from the LEDs 23 passes through a semi-transparent diffusion cover 12 and is irradiated to the outside.
[0014] Referring to FIG. 3(a), the surface of the LED substrate 2 on which the LEDs 23 are mounted is defined as one surface. The other surface is covered with four conductive strips. These four conductive strips are composed of a pair of conductive strips 21 on both outer sides and a pair of conductive strips 22 on the inner side. In this embodiment, the LEDs 23 are arranged at a predetermined pitch on one surface of the LED substrate 2, and two types of LEDs 23 with different luminous colors are alternately arranged. Power is supplied to the LEDs 23 of one luminous color via the conductive strips 21, and power is supplied to the LEDs 23 of the other luminous color via the other conductive strips 22. Because the brightness of the LEDs 23 is approximately proportional to the magnitude of the current flowing through the LEDs 23, increasing or decreasing the current flowing through the conductive strips 21 and 22 not only allows for dimming but also allows for control of the luminous color of the LED lighting device 1 as a whole.
[0015] In the example shown in Figure (a), both the conductive portion 21 and the conductive portion 22 are provided continuously over both longitudinal ends of the LED substrate 2, but they do not necessarily have to be formed continuously, and as shown in Figure (b), both the conductive portion 21a and the conductive portion 22b may be formed intermittently.
[0016] 4, when the LED substrate 2 has the conductive portion 21 and the conductive portion 22 connected in series as shown in FIG. 3(a), it is not necessary to provide the conductive substrate 3 so that it overlaps both ends of the LED substrates 2 connected in the longitudinal direction. The conductive substrate 3 is coated with a pair of conductive portions 31 and a pair of conductive portions 32 at positions corresponding to the conductive portions 21 and 22 described above. In such an embodiment, it is sufficient to arrange the mating portion 2A of the LED substrate 2 and the mating portion 3A of the conductive substrate 3 so that they do not overlap.
[0017] External power is supplied to the current-carrying portions 31 and 32 of the current-carrying substrate 3 located at the edge. Then, power flows to the conductive portions 21 and 22 that are in contact with these current-carrying portions 31 and 32. The power flows to both ends of the conductive portions 21 and 22 formed on one LED substrate 2, and so flows to the current-carrying portions 31 and 32 of the current-carrying substrate 3 that is located next to the current-carrying substrate 3 that first received external power. Then, power is supplied to the other conductive portions 21 and 22 that are in contact with those current-carrying portions 31 and 32, and finally, power is supplied to the conductive portions 21 and 22 of all LED substrates 2.
[0018] The embodiment shown in Figure 5 is a case where the LED substrate 2 has the conductive portions 21 and 22 shown in Figure 3(b) above that are not continuous but are discontinuous. In this case, the conductive substrate 3 needs to overlap the entire LED substrate 2. However, since it is necessary to prevent overlapping between the mating portions 2A and 3A, in addition to the conductive substrate 3, conductive substrates 3a of different lengths are arranged on both ends. This allows the conductive portions 31 and 32 to contact the entire areas of the intermittent conductive portions 21 and 22, making it possible to supply power to all of the LEDs 23.
[0019] The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications may be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention. [Explanation of symbols]
