AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Conventional speakers using magnetic sensors for feedback control have limited vibration range and unstable detection outputs due to the restricted movement of the second magnet, leading to potential distortion and damage, and the use of rare metals increases costs.

Method used

A speaker design with two magnetic sensors arranged to detect the magnetic field from a detection magnet, determining the difference in their outputs to widen the detection range and improve precision, using a detection circuit to correct deviations.

Benefits of technology

The speaker achieves high-precision detection and correction of vibration range, preventing distortion and damage by accurately determining the position of the vibrating part, reducing the need for rare metals.

Abstract

This invention provides a speaker that can accurately detect and feedback control the movement state of the vibrating part, including the diaphragm, over a wide range of motion. [Solution] In the speaker 1, the detection unit 20 is provided with a first magnetic sensor 21 and a second magnetic sensor 22 on a drive support unit consisting of a frame 2 and a magnetic circuit unit 10. The first magnetic sensor and the second magnetic sensor are positioned at a distance from each other in the vibration direction of the vibrating part consisting of a diaphragm 3, a cap 8, a bobbin 6, and a voice coil 7. A detection magnet 23 is provided on the vibrating part. The detection unit obtains a detection output of the difference between the detection output of the first magnetic sensor and the detection output of the second magnetic sensor, and determines from the difference detection output whether the detection magnet is located in front of or behind the origin.
