Abstract
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for efficiently identifying the location of a fault in a grounding cable. [Solution] The method includes the steps of: monitoring a grounding cable passing through equipment connected to the equipment of an electric substation; detecting a fault in the grounding cable based on the monitoring of the grounding cable; and the equipment performing at least one of the steps of generating color-coded signals for the electric substation alarm and visual indicator or sending a notification message to a control center. The visual indicator activates color-coded signals indicating a fault in the equipment of the electric substation based on the detected fault.
