Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a cable stripper, and more particularly to a stripper for a VVF cable used to strip (peel off) the sheath and core coating of the VVF cable. [Background technology]

[0002] Various types of cable strippers of this type are known, for example the P-958VVF stripper (see Non-Patent Document 1) manufactured and sold by the present applicant.

[0003] In all conventional cable strippers, a pair of longitudinal plate-shaped bodies are rotatably connected by a support shaft member, and a core wire coating stripping hole (core wire coating stripping blade) is formed in the tip portion located on the forward side of the support shaft member, and a cable exterior stripping hole (sheath stripping blade) is formed in the handle side located on the rear side of the support shaft member.

[0004] In addition, conventional cable strippers have cable exterior stripping holes (sheath stripping blades) that can accommodate VVF cables with a core wire thickness of 1.6 mm and VVF cables with a core wire thickness of 2.0 mm, and are configured with four types of cable exterior stripping holes (sheath stripping blades) arranged on the handle side so as to accommodate cables with two cores and cables with three cores. [Prior art documents] [Non-patent literature]

[0005] [Non-Patent Document 1] https: / / www.hozan.co.jp / corp / g / g6958 / Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0006] In conventional cable strippers, a core wire covering stripping hole is formed on the tip side and a cable exterior stripping hole is formed on the handle side, with the support shaft member as the boundary. Therefore, the sheath covering stripping work of the VVF cable must be performed on the handle side and the core wire covering stripping work must be performed on the tip side, and when both stripping work are performed consecutively, the VVF cable is set on the handle side of the cable stripper and stripped, and then the VVF cable is set on the tip side of the cable stripper and stripped.

[0007] In addition, conventional cable strippers are designed to be compatible with 2-core and 3-core VVF cables with a core wire thickness of 1.6 mm, as well as 2-core and 3-core VVF cables with a core wire thickness of 2.0 mm. While these are versatile, the length of the cable stripper is long, leaving room for improvement in handling.

[0008] The purpose of this invention is to provide a cable stripper that can smoothly perform the sheath coating stripping work and the core coating stripping work of VVF cable. The purpose of this invention is to provide a cable stripper that can smoothly perform the stripping work of VVF cable and has excellent handling. [Means for solving the problem]

[0009] The cable stripper of the present invention has a pair of one-side and other-side plate members, each of which is formed from a long metal plate-like body in which a front portion, a pivoting portion and a handle portion are integrally connected, and the pivoting portions are overlapped and connected by a support member. The front portions are opened and closed by opening and closing the handle portion, and scissors blades are formed on opposing inner edges of the front portions extending from the portion connected by the support member toward the tip of the front portions, and a core wire coating stripping blade and a sheath stripping blade are formed on opposing inner edges of the handle portions extending from the portion connected by the support member toward the rear end of the handle portions.

[0010] In addition, in the cable stripper of the present invention, a core coating stripping blade for a VVF cable of a predetermined core wire thickness, a three-core sheath stripping blade, and a two-core sheath stripping blade are arranged on the opposing inner sides of the handle portion.

[0011] The cable stripper according to the present invention is provided with a guide member near the sheath stripping blade for guiding the VVF cable when the cable is set on the sheath stripping blade.

[0012] In addition, in the cable stripper of the present invention, the guide member is attached to the surface of the plate member opposite the surface on which the blade surface of the sheath strip blade is formed, and includes a rear guide portion that is set on the sheath strip blade and receives the rear surface of the VVF cable extending in a perpendicular direction from the opposite surface of the plate member.

[0013] Furthermore, in the cable stripper of the present invention, the guide member includes a base plate, a rear guide portion having one end edge portion of the base plate bent at a right angle from the base plate, and a lateral guide bar which rises at a right angle from the base plate on the side of the rear guide portion and extends parallel to the base plate in a direction away from the base plate, and the base plate, rear guide portion and lateral guide bar are integrally formed from a metal plate.

[0014] In the cable stripper of the present invention, the scissors blades are tilted outward at a slight angle to prevent an overload condition from occurring due to the scissors blades acting simultaneously on the three core wires of the VVF cable, and the closing angle of the pair of scissors blades is designed to be wide.

[0015] In the cable stripper of the present invention, each of the plate members has a pliers portion formed at the tip of the front portion for bending the core wire of the VVF cable. Effect of the Invention

[0016] In the cable stripper according to the present invention, the core wire stripping blade and the sheath stripping blade are arranged together on the inner side of the handle part located on the rear side of the support shaft member, so that the stripping work of the VVF cable can be performed on the handle part side, including the stripping work of the sheath coating and the stripping work of the core wire coating.

[0017] Normally, in stripping work, a predetermined length of the sheath of the VVF cable is stripped, and a predetermined length of the insulation-coated core wires is stripped to expose the conductor core wires to a length required for connection, etc. With the cable stripper according to the present invention, the above-mentioned stripping work of the sheath and core wire coating can be performed only on the handle portion side. Therefore, the stripping work can be performed efficiently and smoothly.

[0018] The cable stripper according to the present invention has a handle portion for a VVF cable with a predetermined core wire thickness (for example, either a 1.6 mm core wire or a 2.0 mm core wire). A. Stripping blade for core wire coating, A. Strip blade for three-core sheath, and C. Stripping blade for two-core sheath, are arranged. Therefore, the number of stripping blades is smaller than that of conventional products, and the length of the inner side required for arranging the stripping blades on the handle side is shorter. This allows the length of the handle part of the cable stripper to be relatively short, making it easier to handle the cable stripper. In addition, because the number of stripping blades is small, when stripping a VVF cable, it is possible to instantly determine which blade to use, improving work efficiency.

[0019] When the cable stripper of the present invention is equipped with a guide member, when the VVF cable is set on the strip blade to strip the sheath that is the cable exterior of the VVF cable, the guide member allows the VVF cable to be set in the appropriate position and posture.

[0020] In particular, if the guide member has a rear guide portion that receives the rear of the VVF cable, the VVF cable, which is set at a right angle to the strip blade, can be prevented from tilting obliquely during the sheath stripping operation, thereby allowing the sheath to be stripped appropriately.

[0021] Furthermore, if the guide member is made of a metal plate and is formed integrally by bending, it is possible to realize a guide member that is inexpensive, has stable quality, and has a long life.

[0022] The cable stripper according to the present invention has a scissors blade at the front part located on the front side of the support shaft member, so that the VVF cable can be cut at a desired position using the scissors blade before stripping.

[0023] Furthermore, if the closing angle of the pair of cutting edges of the scissors blades is set to a wide angle, it is possible to prevent the scissors blades from simultaneously acting on the three horizontally lined core wires when cutting a VVF cable. This reduces the load when cutting the cable, and allows the cutting work to be done with less force.

[0024] The cable stripper according to the present invention may be provided with a pliers section at the tip of the front section located on the front side of the support shaft member. By providing the pliers section with a U-shaped bending function, the exposed core wires after stripping can be easily bent in U-shaped manner by the cable stripper for connection. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0026] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS A cable stripper according to an embodiment of the present invention will be specifically described below with reference to the drawings.

[0027] Fig. 1 is a plan view of a cable stripper 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention in a closed state, Fig. 2 is a plan view of the cable stripper 10 in an open state, and Fig. 3 is a front view of the cable stripper 10 in a closed state.

[0028] The cable stripper 10 according to the present invention is a cable stripper designed specifically for VVF cables with a core wire thickness of 1.6 mm.

[0029] To explain what a VVF cable is, its official name is "600V vinyl insulated vinyl sheath flat cable" and it is a cable that is widely used indoors in homes and buildings. VVF cables come in three types of core wire thicknesses: 1.6mm, 2.0mm, and 2.6mm, and three types of core numbers: 2-core, 3-core, and 4-core. The thicker the core wire, the higher the allowable current.

[0030] For wiring inside homes and buildings, 2-core or 3-core cables with a core wire thickness of 1.6 mm are most commonly used. 2-core or 3-core cables with a core wire thickness of 2.0 mm are also widely used. In the case of 3-core cables of either core wire thickness, 2 cores are used for the power supply and 1 core is used for the earth (ground wire).

[0031] 1 to 3, a cable stripper 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention is designed specifically for a VVF cable having a core wire thickness of 1.6 mm, and has the following configuration.

[0032] The device has two plate members 11A and 11B. The plate members 11A and 11B have the same shape and configuration, and are combined to form a pair, for example, with the one-side plate member 11A facing outward and the other-side plate member 11B facing backward.

[0033] One side plate member 11A is formed of a long metal plate in which a front portion 12A, a rotating portion 13A, and a handle portion 14A are integrally connected. The front portion 12A and the handle portion 14A extend linearly in the front-rear direction, and are connected to the front portion 12A and the handle portion 14A via the rotating portion 13A so as to have a step in the up-down direction. The other side plate member 11B is also formed of a front portion 12B, a rotating portion 13B, and a handle portion 14B which are integrally formed of a long metal plate. The back surface of the rotating portion 13A faces the back surface of the rotating portion 13B, and they are rotatably connected by a support shaft member 15.

[0034] The one-side plate member 11A and the other-side plate member 11B are formed of a steel plate having a thickness of 3.2 mm, for example.

[0035] The front portion 12A is provided with a scissors blade 16A. The scissors blade 16A is formed on the upper side (the inner side facing the front portion 12B) of the front portion 12A. The scissors blade 16A has a blade ridge 161 extending in a straight line and a bladed surface 162 that is cut to form the blade ridge 161. Similarly, the front portion 12B is provided with a scissors blade 16B. The scissors blade 16B is formed on the lower side (the inner side facing the front portion 12A) of the front portion 12B. The blade ridge 161 of the scissors blade 16A is formed along the back surface of the steel plate that forms the front portion 12A, and the blade ridge 161 of the scissors blade 16B is formed along the back surface of the steel plate that forms the front portion 12B. The front portions 12A and 12B rotate about the support shaft member 15 to close, and the edge line 161 of the scissors blade 16A and the edge line 161 of the scissors blade 16B intersect, thereby cutting the VVF cable.

[0036] In the cable stripper 10 of the present invention, the closing angle between the blade ridge 161 of the scissors blade 16A and the blade ridge 161 of the scissors blade 16B is set at a wide angle such that the direction of the blade ridge 161 is tilted outward by a small angle so as to prevent an overload condition in which the scissors blades act simultaneously on the three core wires lined up horizontally of the VVF cable.

[0037] Specifically, in the case of cutting a three-core VVF cable C with reference to Fig. 4A, when the closing angle of the pair of blade ridges 161 is narrow (for example, when the closing angle is 9°), when the left-end core L starts to be cut, the cutting of the right-end core R is not completed and is in the middle of cutting, so that the scissors blades act simultaneously on the three cores R, M, and L, and the peak load of the handle grip at the time of cutting is large, resulting in a large load. On the other hand, with reference to Fig. 4B, when the closing angle of the pair of blade ridges 161 is widened (for example, when the closing angle is 13.5°), when the left-end core L starts to be cut, the cutting of the right-end core R is completed. Therefore, the scissors blades do not act simultaneously on the three cores R, M, and L, and the peak load of the handle grip at the time of cutting is small, resulting in a small load, which has the advantage of allowing the cutting work to be performed with a light force.

[0038] 1 to 3, pliers portions 17 are provided at the tips of front portions 12A and 12B. As shown in Fig. 3, the tips of front portions 12A and 12B are bent toward the overlapping sides of plate members 11A and 11B, respectively, so that the pliers portions 17 face each other in the up-down direction in Figs. 1 and 2. This allows cable stripper 10 to use pliers portions 17 to pinch the tip of a core wire exposed by stripping off its covering, and to perform processing such as bending the core wire into a square shape.

[0039] The handle portion 14A is provided with a core wire coating stripping blade 20A and sheath stripping blades 21A, 22A. The handle portion 14A is a longitudinal plate-like body extending rearward from the rotating portion 13A, and the core wire coating stripping blade 20A and the sheath stripping blades 21A, 22A are provided on the lower side (the inner side facing the handle portion 14B) near the front of the handle portion 14A from the front to the rear of the handle portion 14A.

[0040] The core wire coating stripping blade 20A has three semicircular cutting edges 201 arranged from front to rear at a predetermined interval so that the coating of the three core wires of a three-core VVF cable can be stripped off at the same time. The blade also has three bladed surfaces 202 cut into semicircular arc shapes to form the three cutting edges 201. Similarly, the core wire coating stripping blade 20B is provided on the upper side (the inner side facing the handle portion 14A) near the front of the handle portion 14B so that the three cutting edges 201 are formed along the back surface thereof.

[0041] When the handle portions 14A and 14B are closed, the blade ridges 201 of the stripping blades 20A and 20B for covering the core wire form three small holes aligned side by side, as shown in the enlarged view of Fig. 5. The diameter of each of these small holes is 1.6 mm, which is the diameter of the core wire.

[0042] Referring to Figures 1, 3 and 5, in this embodiment, the sheath stripping blades 21A, 22A are arranged so that one for stripping the sheath of a VVF cable having three cores and another for stripping the sheath of a VVF cable having two cores are arranged.

[0043] The sheath stripping blade 21A has three consecutive arc-shaped blade lines 211 so that it can strip the sheath of a VVF cable having three cores. It also has three bladed surfaces 212 cut into semicircular arc shapes to form the three blade ridges 211. Similarly, the sheath stripping blade 21B for a three-core cable is provided on the upper side (the inner side facing the handle portion 14A) near the front of the handle portion 14B so that the three blade ridges 211 are formed along the back surface.

[0044] The handle portion 14A is further provided with a sheath stripping blade 22A for stripping the sheath of a VVF cable having two cores. The sheath stripping blade 22A has a blade ridge 221 consisting of two arc-shaped blade ridges arranged side by side. The sheath stripping blade 22A also has two bladed surfaces 222 cut into semicircular arc shapes to form the two blade ridges 221. Similarly, the sheath stripping blade 22B for a two-core cable is provided on the upper side (the inner side facing the handle portion 14A) near the front of the handle portion 14B so that the two blade ridges 221 are formed along the back surface.

[0045] The cross section of the VVF cable shown for reference in Figure 2 shows the setting position of the VVF cable relative to each blade.

[0046] 2, the plate member 11B is provided with a guide member 30 at a position toward the front of the handle portion 14B and in the vicinity of the sheath strip blades 21B, 22B. The guide member 30 is fixed to the rear surface of the plate member 11B using, for example, two hexagon socket button bolts 31.

[0047] The guide member 30 guides the VVF cable to the sheath stripping blade when the VVF cable is set on the sheath stripping blade to strip the sheath of the VVF cable, and includes a back guide portion that receives and supports the back of the cable so that the VVF cable can maintain a position perpendicular to the sheath stripping blade when the sheath is cut with the sheath stripping blade.

[0048] 6, the guide member 30 is formed of a metal plate having a thickness of 1.5 to 2.0 mm, for example. The guide member 30 includes a base plate 32 having a horizontally long rectangular shape in a plan view, a protruding piece 33 protruding from an upper left side of the base plate 32 bent at a right angle to form a first rear guide portion 33 vertically standing from the base plate 32, and a protruding piece 34 protruding from an upper right side of the base plate 32 bent at a right angle to form a second rear guide portion 34 vertically standing from the base plate 32.

[0049] The first rear guide portion 33 is provided on the rear surface of the single plate member 11B so as to protrude vertically from the rear surface of the single plate member 11B along the blade ridge line 211 of the sheath strip blade 21B. The second rear guide portion 34 is provided on the rear surface of the single plate member 11B so as to protrude vertically from the rear surface of the single plate member 11B along the blade ridge line 221 of the sheath strip blade 22B. As a result, when the sheath of the VVF cable is stripped with the sheath strip blades 21A, 21B or the sheath strip blades 22A, 22B, the first rear guide portion 33 or the second rear guide portion 34 prevents the VVF cable from tilting obliquely from the orthogonal position with respect to the sheath strip blade.

[0050] The guide member 30 of this embodiment further has rod-shaped guide bars 35, 36 that rise at a substantially right angle from the upper side of the base plate 32 and are bent upward at a right angle on the right side of the first rear guide portion 33 and the right side of the second rear guide portion 34. The guide bars 35, 36 are also made of metal and are formed integrally with the base plate 32. These guide bars 35, 36 guide the side surface of the VVF cable when the VVF cable is set on the sheath strip blades 22A, 22B, and help to properly set the VVF cable on the sheath strip blades 22A, 22B.

[0051] In addition, the guide members according to the present invention may be configured without the guide bars 35 and 36.

[0052] The above-mentioned guide member 30 is also provided on the rear surface of the plate member 11A.

[0053] The rear side of each of the handle portions 14A, 14B of the plate members 11A, 11B of the cable stripper 10 is covered with, for example, an elastomer grip 40C. For example, a leaf spring member 41 is attached to the handle portion 14B of the other plate member 11B by utilizing the elastomer grip 40C. The leaf spring member 41 acts between the handle portions 14A, 14B when the handle portions 14A, 14B are closed, and applies an elastic force in the direction in which the handle portions 14A, 14B open.

[0054] 7 is a perspective view of a cable stripper 50 according to another embodiment of the present invention. This cable stripper 50 differs from the cable stripper 10 described above in that the overlapping directions of the two plate members 11A and 11B are opposite. More specifically, the bladed surfaces of the scissors blades, the core wire coating stripping blades, and the sheath stripping blades formed on the plate members 11A and 11B are opposite to the bladed surfaces formed on the plate members 11A and 11B in the cable stripper 10, and the overlapping directions of the two plate members 11A and 11B are reversed. The rest of the configuration is the same as that of the cable stripper 10 described above, and the same or corresponding parts are denoted by the same reference symbols, and description thereof will be omitted.

[0055] When the cable stripper 50 is held in the right hand, for example, to perform stripping, the blade surface 202 of the core coating stripping blade 20B and the blade surfaces 212, 222 of the sheath stripping blades 21B, 22B are visible on the surface of the lower plate member 11B.

[0056] Therefore, it is easy to align the incision positions of the VVF cable to be stripped with the ridges 201, 211, 221 of the core wire coating stripping blade 20B and the sheath stripping blades 21B, 22B. Also, the ridges 201, 211, 221 are not hidden by the thickness of the plate member 11A during the stripping operation. This has the advantage that the incision positions during the stripping operation can be checked and kept accurate.

[0057] The cable stripper according to the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment.

[0058] For example, as a modified example, the cable stripper may be designed specifically for a VVF cable having a core wire thickness of 2.0 mm.

[0059] You may think that a dedicated cable stripper for 1.6mm or 2.0mm core wires would be inconvenient to use on-site, but this is an unnecessary concern. When wiring VVF cables on-site, VVF cables with 1.6mm core wires are most often used, and it is very rare to mix VVF cables with 1.6mm core wires and VVF cables with 2.0mm core wires. Also, since the wiring locations for VVF cables with different core wire thicknesses are predetermined, you can use a cable stripper that is appropriate for the VVF cable to be wired at the work site.

[0060] Therefore, even if a dedicated cable stripper is used for a specific core wire thickness, there is no risk of it being difficult to use in the field.

[0061] As a variation of the present invention, the cable stripper can be made to be dedicated to a VVF cable with a core wire thickness of 1.6 mm and two cores. It can also be made to be dedicated to a VVF cable with a core wire thickness of 2.0 mm and three cores. In that case, the stripping blade for the core wire coating can be a double blade (or a triple blade), and the sheath stripping blade can be a single stripping blade for two cores (or three cores). With this configuration, the length of the handle of the cable stripper can be made shorter, making it easier to handle.

[0062] In the above embodiment, the handle portion is provided with a core coating stripping blade, a 3-core sheath stripping blade, and a 2-core sheath stripping blade in this order from front to rear. However, the cable stripper of the present invention is not limited to this arrangement of the stripping blades, and may be provided with a different arrangement, such as a sheath stripping blade formed on the front side of the handle portion and a core coating stripping blade formed behind it.

[0063] In addition, the present invention can be modified in various ways based on the description of the scope of the utility model registration claims. [Explanation of symbols]
