Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a lip gloss stick-type cosmetic composition in which a high content of oligomeric phytosterol ester is stabilized into a solid form. [Background technology]

[0002] Generally, lip gloss is a lip cosmetic that nourishes the lips and maintains their luster, and is applied directly to the lips or over lipstick. Such lip gloss is provided in a viscous liquid form or a soft semi-solid form, and among these, solid stick-type lip gloss made by mixing various waxes, oils and pigments is more commonly used.

[0003] The semi-solid or solid stick-type lip gloss is prepared by storing a lip gloss composition containing wax and oil as main components in a container, and then solidifying the composition by natural cooling or rapid cooling.

[0004] Although it is more convenient and easier to apply lip makeup using a solid stick type lip gloss than a viscous liquid or soft semi-solid type, there are many difficulties in structuring a glossy stick with the appropriate hardness and high gloss that can be realized with a liquid or semi-solid product, as well as the minimum hardness.

[0005] In the case of a typical lip gloss stick, pigment (0.1-10%) is dispersed in an oil base (20-90%) and mixed with a wax phase material (5-20%) to produce the product. The blending ratio of wax to oil determines the hardness and usability of the product.

[0006] However, if the hardness of such lip gloss sticks is too high, the solidified stick is hard and difficult to apply, or the glossiness of the oil is insufficient, while if the hardness is too low, the oil has an excellent glossiness but is not easily molded into a stick, resulting in reduced productivity. In addition, depending on the storage temperature, the solid stick may melt or the oil may separate, causing the stick to lose its hardness over time and the properties of the stick to deteriorate.

[0007] Research to solve these problems is being conducted in various fields, and there is a demand for the development of new products such as lip gloss sticks that provide high gloss with an oily feel when applied to the lips, and are convenient to carry and use and have excellent stability.

[0008] Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2018-0028512 (A) and PCT / WO2017008243 (A1) disclose an invention relating to a non-liquid, anhydrous composition having a combination of waxes, including (a) one or more waxes (polyethylene waxes) having a melting point of 60°C or higher; (b) one or more waxes (cetyl esters) of solid linear esters derived from C6-C30 fatty acids different from (a); (c) one or more non-volatile oils; and (d) one or more paste compounds, wherein the weight ratio of (a) and (b) is 0.05 to 4.

[0009] Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2021-0051331(A) discloses a lip cosmetic composition comprising a silicone gel, a silicone oil, a silicone powder, a wax and a pigment, which has low gloss, good spreadability, and improves activity against lip wrinkles and dryness after application.

[0010] Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2021-0051024 discloses an invention relating to a high-gloss lip makeup composition that contains (a) 1-5% of one or more silicone resins (phenylpropyldimethylsiloxysilicate), (b) 1-10% of one or more silicone oils (dimethyldimethicone), (c) one or more waxes (polyethylene, microcrystalline wax, synthetic wax / ethylene / propylene copolymer), and (d) one or more hydrocarbon-based oils and ester-based oils, and improves the gloss and stickiness of the lips.

[0011] Korean Patent Registration No. 10-0876264(B) and PCT / WO2006017203(A1) disclose an invention relating to a high gloss and smudge-free lipstick composition comprising (a) one or more fatty alcohol soluble polysaccharide polymers (C1-C8 alkyl modified polysaccharide polymers) and liquid polyol esters (pentaerythrityl (adipate / caprate / caprylate / heptanoate)), (b) one or more waxes (polyethylene, microcrystalline wax), (c) sugar fatty acid esters (methyl glucose sesquistearate), and one or more hydrocarbon polymers and pigments.

[0012] Thus, to obtain a solid composition in stick form, generally one or more natural waxes, synthetic waxes and higher fatty alcohols are mixed together to form a structure in stick form, or vegetable oils, hydrocarbon oils and synthetic ester oils are mixed with a paste-phase polymeric material or an oil thickener material to form a semi-solid structure. These solid compositions remain stable and do not flow, particularly at room temperature.

[0013] In order to differentiate such lipstick formulations into lip gloss formulations with excellent glossiness and soft feel, if a general stick-type solid composition does not contain any wax components or, conversely, contains an excessive amount of oil, the final product does not have the hardness required to maintain the stickiness and runs off at room temperature, or it becomes difficult to maintain the stickiness throughout the entire process.

[0014] Although the stick form is convenient for applying makeup to the lips, it has the disadvantage of not being as glossy as the paste form of lip gloss.

[0015] When a large amount of a paste-phase polymeric material or an oil-thickening agent used in such conventional technology is blended, the viscosity is too high at high temperatures, making it difficult to mold into a stick shape, and the feeling of use is very sticky.

[0016] In particular, since oligomer-type sterol esters have a low melting point of about 38°C, when formulated in high amounts, they can suffer from a surface sweating phenomenon when stored at high temperatures for a long period of time, which can hinder the marketability of the product in terms of aesthetic appearance. This poses practical limitations on formulation.

[0017] In addition, when a hydrocarbon wax obtained by refining natural gas or petroleum, a synthetic wax, or a vegetable wax is used to stabilize the oligomer sterol ester and the high viscosity oil concomitantly formulated therewith, the wax tends to be hard or thin when applied to the lips, resulting in a lack of gloss and thickness.

[0018] Furthermore, when materials such as silicone polymer, petrolatum, and shea butter are mixed, the gloss exhibited after application on the lips may be significantly reduced compared to the present invention.

[0019] The oligomeric phytosterol ester used as the main ingredient in this product has been widely used in conventional lipstick compositions to improve moisturizing effects and pigment dispersion. However, it was found that the high-temperature stability and molding stability of the ingredient was not satisfactory when used in high amounts.

[0020] However, nowhere in the above documents is there disclosed or taught anything relating to a lip gloss stick composition in which high content oligomeric phytosterol esters are used to stabilize the structure of the stick with minimal hardness. Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0021] In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present inventors have made efforts to find a lip cosmetic composition having excellent applicability due to its gloss and soft texture, and have demonstrated that the lipstick composition of the present invention has excellent gloss effect and soft use of a solid stick compared to existing solid lipstick ingredients, as well as excellent convenience of use of a stick product compared to liquid or semi-solid lip gloss ingredients. This was confirmed through various experiments such as (1) comparative measurement of sensory evaluation items (Experimental Example 1), (2) comparative experiment on stability test (Experimental Example 2), and (3) evaluation of compatibility of each component (Experimental Example 3). [Means for solving the problem]

[0022] The technical solution to solve the above-mentioned problems in the background art is to develop a lip gloss stick-type cosmetic composition in which a novel high content oligomeric phytosterol ester is solid-stabilized.

[0023] Therefore, one subject of the present invention is to provide a lip gloss stick-type cosmetic composition stabilized in a solid state by a high content of oligomeric phytosterol ester, in particular, a lip cosmetic composition such as a lip gloss composition which has excellent applicability based on excellent oil gloss and soft texture compared to conventional solid lipstick contents despite being in a solid stick form, and which not only has a solid stick feel when applied to the lips, but also shows convenience of use as a stick product compared to liquid or semi-solid lip gloss contents, and this was confirmed through various experiments such as (1) comparative measurement of sensory evaluation items (Experimental Example 1), (2) comparative experiment on stability test (Experimental Example 2), and (3) evaluation of compatibility of each component (Experimental Example 3).

[0024] In addition, the cosmetic composition of the present invention does not contain any wax or contains a small amount of wax to form a suitable blend ratio for a lip gloss product intended to be used in a liquid or semi-solid form, and can be structured into a solid stick form to provide greater convenience in use.

[0025] Through this invention, the inventors have developed a new concept "Lip Fondue" formulation in the form of a solid stick with high gloss and texture similar to that of liquid or semi-solid lip gloss, and have named it "Lip Fondue" because it is a similar formulation to liquid cheese.

[0026] As one aspect, the present invention provides a lip gloss stick-type cosmetic composition comprising: (a) a hydrocarbon wax having a melting point of 85°C or higher, obtained by refining natural gas or petroleum; (b) an oligomeric phytosterol ester; (c) a fatty acid complex synthetic ester oil; (d) a polymeric film-forming agent; and (e) a gelling agent containing an organically modified clay mineral.

[0061] The present invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the following examples. However, it should be understood that the present invention is not limited to these examples in any manner.

[0062] Examples The following examples and experimental examples are intended to more specifically illustrate the present invention without departing from the scope of the present invention.

[0063] Comparative Example 1. Preparation of comparative existing lipstick cosmetic compositions (1-3)

[0064] Known high gloss lip glosses and lipsticks as shown in Table 1 below were prepared and compared with the Examples in Table 2 in terms of feel and gloss.

[0065] [Table 1-1]

[0066] [Table 1-2]

[0067] Example 1. Preparation of Lipstick (Lip Fondue) Cosmetic Compositions (1)-(4)

[0068] In this experiment, the melting point of the composition must be 60℃ or higher, so to prevent losses due to weighing, the wax and gelling agent must be weighed separately and the exact amount must be added. Each raw material in Table 2 below was weighed into a beaker and dissolved at 80-95℃ in a dissolving tank (SUS vacuum tank, Jushin Machinery) equipped with a dispersing mixer, stirred at 1,000-2,000 RPM, and then the final mixture was manufactured through color matching and degassing processes. The final mixture was placed in a heating charger (automatic lipstick molding machine, Yuh-Tec), dissolved by heating at 80-95℃, and directly charged in the final product container. The surface of the charged stick was melted by post-heating at 300-400℃, charged again for a second time, and cooled naturally at room temperature for about 3-5 minutes. The surface of the cooled stick was re-melted by post-heating at 300-400℃, and then the final product was produced through a secondary cooling process at room temperature for 5-10 minutes (referred to as "Lip Fondue" in this application). The contents in Table 2 below are based on weight percent.

[0070] [Table 2-2]

[0071] Experimental example 1. Comparative measurement of sensory evaluation items

[0072] The high gloss lipstick cosmetic compositions prepared in the above Examples and Comparative Examples were evaluated for basic sensory evaluation items.

[0073] Thirty women were asked to apply each sample to their lips at least three times, and then to evaluate their preference for each of the following items: (a) feel on use, and (b) glossiness.

[0074] The evaluation results are shown in Table 3 below. Each item was evaluated on a scale of 10 (very good 10, good 8, average 6, poor 4, very poor 2).

[0075] [Table 3]

[0076] Referring to Table 3, the lip gloss stick cosmetic product (Example 1) prepared according to the present invention was shown to be the most excellent in terms of usability and glossiness.

[0077] It was confirmed that various lipstick compositions prepared according to the methods of the Examples of the present invention showed unexpectedly high scores in (a) usability and (b) glossiness, when compared to general lip gloss sticks prepared according to the methods of the Comparative Examples based on conventional technology.

[0078] Experimental example 2. Stability comparison measurement

[0079] In order to evaluate the basic stability of the lip gloss sticks prepared in the above Examples and Comparative Examples with respect to cosmetics, the safety was comparatively measured as follows.

[0080] In order to compare basic physical properties such as stability at various temperature ranges for the lip gloss stick cosmetics prepared in the Examples and Comparative Examples, the hardness of each lipstick cosmetic composition sample was stored for two months under various temperature conditions of 4°C, 25°C, 40°C, 45°C, 50°C, -20°C, and cycles (-10°C to 45°C) to observe changes over time.

[0081] As shown in Tables 4 to 9 below, it was confirmed that the lip gloss stick composition of the present invention hardly changes in hardness over time and has a good appearance. (Tables 4 to 9)

[0082] [Table 4]

[0083] [Table 5]

[0084] [Table 6]

[0085] [Table 7]

[0086] [Table 8]

[0087] [Table 9]

[0088] Referring to the table, it was confirmed that the hardness of the lip gloss stick cosmetic composition prepared according to the present invention was stabilized and maintained constant over time under all storage temperature conditions.

[0089] Experimental Example 3. Compatibility measurement of individual components

[0090] In order to measure the compatibility of the individual components in the product of the present invention, a compatibility comparison experiment known in the art was conducted in which the wax and each oil component were heated and stirred in various ratios to produce a final product, and the appearance of the final product was then observed. The results are shown in Table 10 below.

[0091] [Table 10]

[0092] [Table 11]

[0093] Referring to Table 11, the lip gloss stick cosmetic product prepared according to the present invention (Example 1) was shown to be the most excellent in terms of usability, glossiness, and stability.

[0094] The experimental results confirmed that by blending ingredients with hydrophilic properties, such as glyceryl or hydrogenated structures, the stick hardness decreases and the stick expands or contracts due to its hygroscopicity, as determined through the high temperature stability evaluation.
