Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to an oral composition containing isopropylmethylphenol, which provides a high feeling of efficacy in the oral cavity, particularly on the gums, even with a single use, and is effective for preventing or inhibiting periodontal disease. [Background technology]

[0002] Isopropyl methylphenol has a penetrating bactericidal effect on oral biofilms, and has a bactericidal effect of penetrating periodontal biofilms and killing bacteria present therein, and therefore has been incorporated into oral compositions as a component for preventing or suppressing periodontal diseases such as pyorrhea. In Patent Document 1 (WO 2010 / 143589), isopropyl methylphenol is used in combination with vitamins to prevent or improve periodontal diseases.

[0003] However, the preventive or suppressive effect of isopropyl methylphenol on periodontal disease due to its bactericidal action such as oral biofilm penetrating bactericidal action can be gradually felt with continued use, for example, as a tightening sensation, but it does not immediately give any sensation to the gums, etc., after one use, so that the user's motivation to use may not be maintained. In order to maximize the effect of isopropyl methylphenol, it is important to maintain the user's motivation to use and encourage continued use, and for this purpose, it is considered effective to make the user feel that the oral cavity, especially the gums, is being affected every time the oral composition is used, thereby increasing the user's motivation. [0004] [Patent Document 1] International Publication No. 2010 / 143589 [Patent Document 2] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 8-151324 [Patent Document 3] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 8-151325 [Patent Document 4] Special Publication No. 2019-532946 [Patent Document 5] JP 2017-155010 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0005] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above circumstances, and aims to provide an oral composition containing isopropyl methylphenol which provides a high feeling of effectiveness in the oral cavity, particularly on the gums, even with just one use, and is effective for preventing or suppressing periodontal disease. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] The present inventors have conducted extensive research to achieve the above object, and have found that when an oral composition containing isopropylmethylphenol is combined with a water-soluble tin salt and an amino acid, a unique and long-lasting noticeable feeling of firmness is imparted to the oral cavity, particularly to the gums, after one use, thereby providing a high feeling of effectiveness that the oral composition is effective on the gums after each use in the oral cavity, and also improving the unpleasant taste to ensure a pleasant taste when used. That is, the present invention has found that an oral composition containing (A) isopropylmethylphenol, (B) a water-soluble tin salt, and (C) an amino acid not only has a bactericidal effect, but also provides a high feeling of effectiveness in the oral cavity, particularly to the gums, after one use, has a good taste, and is effective for preventing or suppressing periodontal diseases such as pyorrhea, and has led to the present invention.

[0007] More specifically, in the present invention, by using the component (A) in combination with the component (B) in the oral composition, a unique, long-lasting, and remarkable feeling of gum tightening (a unique feeling that the feeling of gum tightening continues even after a period of time has passed since use, and is felt prominently, hereinafter sometimes abbreviated as "feeling of gum tightening") can be given, and a high feeling of effectiveness felt in the gums can be given. The feeling of gum tightening is a unique feeling obtained by the specific action of the component (B) on the component (A) as an effect feeling imparting agent, and is different from the astringent feeling caused by, for example, other astringents. Furthermore, when the component (A) is used in combination with the component (B), a problem occurs in that a strange taste derived from the component (A) is significantly expressed, resulting in a bad aftertaste. However, by further adding the component (C), the strange taste is improved without being unpleasant as described above, and a good feeling of use is maintained, and a high feeling of effectiveness is given by the feeling of gum tightening. As shown in the comparative examples below, when the oral composition contained the component (A) but did not contain the components (B) and (C), the feeling of tightness of the gums (the feeling of tightness of the gums immediately after use and 10 minutes after use) was low (Comparative Example 1), and when the oral composition contained the components (A) and (B) but did not contain the component (C), the unpleasant taste (absence of unpleasant taste) after use was poor and it was unsuitable for use (Comparative Example 2). In contrast, the oral composition containing the components (A), (B) and (C) of the present invention shown in the examples was excellent in the feeling of tightness of the gums and the unpleasant taste (absence of unpleasant taste) after use. In addition, Patent Documents 2 and 3 (JP Patent Publication Nos. 8-151324 and 8-151325) propose improving antibacterial activity against biofilms by combining lysine or arginine with a compound that exhibits antibacterial activity, and Patent Document 4 (JP Patent Publication No. 2019-532946) combines tranexamic acid or epsilon aminocaproic acid with a stannous ion source to impart gingival wound healing and antibacterial effects to an oral care composition, and Patent Document 5 (JP Patent Publication No. 2017-155010) combines epsilon aminocaproic acid with pyrrolidone carboxylic acid, vitamins, etc. to improve anti-inflammatory effects and discoloration stability, but these are not improvements in the actual feeling of effect. In contrast, the present invention combines components (A), (B) and (C) to impart a unique, long-lasting and noticeable feeling of firmness to the gums, thereby significantly improving the perceived effect of component (A) and also improving the unpleasant taste.

[0008] Accordingly, the present invention provides the following oral compositions. [1] (A) isopropyl methylphenol, (B) Water-soluble tin salts and (C) Amino Acids An oral composition comprising: [2] (B) The oral composition according to [1], wherein the water-soluble tin salt is one or more selected from tin chloride and tin fluoride. [3] The oral composition according to [1] or [2], wherein the amino acid (C) is one or more selected from alanine, tranexamic acid and epsilon aminocaproic acid. [4] The composition for oral cavity according to any one of [1] to [3], wherein the mass ratio of (A) / (C) is 0.1 to 5. [5] The oral composition according to any one of [1] to [4], wherein the mass ratio of (B) (the amount of tin ions in component (B)) / (C) is 0.05 to 30. [9] The oral composition according to any one of [1] to [8], which is a dentifrice, a mouthwash, or a mouth spray. Effect of the Invention

[0009] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an oral composition that has a good taste and provides a high sense of effectiveness, such as the penetration and killing of oral biofilms by component (A) in the oral cavity even with a single use, and also provides a sense of effectiveness that component (A) is effective on the gums. The oral composition of the present invention can effectively exert the bactericidal effect, such as the penetration and killing of oral biofilms by component (A), and is effective for preventing or suppressing periodontal diseases such as pyorrhea. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0010] The present invention will now be described in further detail. The oral composition of the present invention contains (A) isopropylmethylphenol, (B) a water-soluble tin salt, and (C) an amino acid.

[0011] (A) Isopropylmethylphenol is a nonionic bactericide that has a bactericidal effect such as penetrating and killing oral biofilms, and exerts an effect of preventing or suppressing periodontal disease by killing periodontal pathogens. The blending amount of (A) isopropylmethylphenol is preferably 0.01 to 0.2% (mass%, the same applies below) of the entire composition, and more preferably 0.02 to 0.1%. When the blending amount is 0.01% or more, the bactericidal effect and the feeling of firming the gums are sufficiently obtained, and when it is 0.2% or less, the effect of improving the unpleasant taste by the (C) component is sufficiently exhibited, and a pleasant feeling of use is ensured.

[0012] (B) Water-soluble tin salt, when used in combination with component (A), provides a unique, long-lasting and noticeable feeling of gum tightening, and this feeling of gum tightening provides a sense of actual effectiveness. (B) Examples of water-soluble tin salts include tin chloride, tin fluoride, tin acetate, tin gluconate, tin oxalate, tin sulfate, tin lactate, tin tartrate, tin citrate, tin malate, tin phosphate, tin pyrophosphate, and tin metaphosphate. Of these, tin chloride and tin fluoride are preferred. As the tin chloride, tin(II) chloride (stannous chloride) can be used, and it may be a hydrate such as tin(II) chloride dihydrate. As the tin fluoride, tin(II) fluoride (stannous fluoride) or tin(IV) fluoride (stannic fluoride) can be used. In particular, tin(II) fluoride (stannous fluoride) is preferred because it can also impart a caries prevention effect. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more.

[0013] The blending amount of (B) water-soluble tin salt is preferably 0.02 to 1% of the total composition in terms of tin ion, more preferably 0.03 to 0.7%, and even more preferably 0.1 to 0.7%. When the content of tin ion is 0.02% or more, a feeling of firmness of the gums is sufficiently obtained, and when it is 1% or less, the effect of improving the unpleasant taste by component (C) is sufficiently exhibited, and a pleasant feeling of use is ensured.

[0014] The (C) amino acid prevents the unpleasant taste caused by component (A) that occurs when components (A) and (B) are used in combination, improves the unpleasant taste, and ensures a pleasant taste when used. The (C) amino acid may be a natural product or an artificially synthesized product, and in particular, alanine, tranexamic acid, and epsilon aminocaproic acid can be used. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more. Among these, alanine is preferred from the viewpoint of improving off-taste, or a combination of tranexamic acid and epsilon aminocaproic acid is also preferred. The combined use of alanine and tranexamic acid and / or epsilon aminocaproic acid is more preferred from the viewpoint of further improving the effect of preventing or suppressing periodontal disease due to the anti-inflammatory action of tranexamic acid and epsilon aminocaproic acid in addition to the effect of improving off-taste, and the combined use of alanine and tranexamic acid is even more preferred.

[0015] The amount of the (C) amino acid is preferably 0.01 to 1% of the total composition, more preferably 0.03 to 0.5%, and even more preferably 0.04 to 0.5%. When the amount is 0.01% or more, the effect of improving the unpleasant taste is sufficiently obtained, and when the amount is 1% or less, the feeling of firmness of the gums is sufficiently maintained. When the amount is more than 1%, the feeling of firmness of the gums may decrease.

[0016] In the present invention, the ratio of the amount of the component (A) to the amount of the component (C), (A) / (C), is preferably a mass ratio of 0.1 to 5, more preferably 0.1 to 3, even more preferably 0.1 to 2.5, and particularly preferably 0.3 to 2.5. Furthermore, the ratio (B) / (C) of the amount of the component (B) (as tin ions) to the amount of the component (C) is preferably 0.05 to 30, more preferably 0.1 to 20, and even more preferably 0.3 to 20, in terms of mass ratio. When either the mass ratio of (A) / (C) or the mass ratio of (B) / (C) is within the above range, the gums feel firmer and the unpleasant taste is improved. When the mass ratio of (A) / (C) is less than 0.1 or the mass ratio of (B) / (C) is less than 0.05, the gums may not feel sufficiently firm. When the mass ratio of (A) / (C) is more than 5 or the mass ratio of (B) / (C) is more than 30, the unpleasant taste improvement effect may not be fully achieved. It is particularly preferable in terms of realizing the effects of the present invention that the mass ratio of (A) / (C) and the mass ratio of (B) / (C) are both within the above ranges.

[0017] The oral composition of the present invention preferably further contains a cooling agent (D). The incorporation of component (D) enhances the feeling of firmness of the gums, further improving the feeling of effectiveness. Examples of the (D) component include N-ethyl-p-menthane-3-carboxamide, ethyl-3-(p-menthane-carboxamide) acetate, N-(4-cyanomethylphenyl)-p-menthanecarboxamide, N-(2-(pyridin-2-yl)-3-p-menthanecarboxamide), 2-isopropyl-N,2,3-trimethylbutyramide, menthone glycerol acetal, menthoxypropane-1,2-diol, menthyl lactate, and menthyl succinate. Among these, N-(4-cyanomethylphenyl)-p-menthanecarboxamide and N-(2-(pyridin-2-yl)-3-p-menthanecarboxamide) are more preferred. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
