Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present specification relates to a tape feeder device. [Background technology]
[0002] Conventionally, there is known a tape feeder device that feeds a carrier tape that contains electronic components (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The carrier tape is wound around a tape reel and stored. The tape reel is rotatably supported on a reel shaft of the tape feeder device. The tape feeder device includes a feed mechanism that pulls out the carrier tape from the tape reel and feeds it in a predetermined direction. The feed mechanism rotates a wheel by operating an operating lever to feed the carrier tape in the predetermined direction.
[0003] The tape feeder device also includes a winding mechanism that winds the top tape, which has been peeled off from the base tape of the carrier tape, onto the take-up reel. The winding mechanism is made up of mechanical elements, and swings the winding lever around the axis of the take-up reel in conjunction with the operation of the operating lever, and transmits a rotational torque to the take-up reel by the biasing force of the winding spring only when the winding lever swings in the winding direction. When this rotational torque is transmitted, tension is applied to the top tape to be wound onto the take-up reel, so that the top tape is peeled off from the base tape and wound onto the take-up reel.
[0004] The tape feeder device includes a take-up amount control means for reducing the rotation angle of the take-up reel as the take-up diameter of the top tape increases. The take-up amount control means regulates the length of the top tape taken up by the take-up reel by the biasing force of the take-up spring of the take-up mechanism to the amount of carrier tape fed each time the feeding mechanism feeds the carrier tape. With this configuration, when the carrier tape is fed, an appropriate tension is applied to the top tape without applying excessive tension to the top tape, so that the top tape can be peeled off from the base tape. [0005] [Patent Document 1] JP 2001-237593 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0006] However, if the biasing force of the winding spring is used as described above to reduce the rotation angle of the take-up reel as the winding diameter of the top tape increases, the action of winding the top tape onto the take-up reel when the carrier tape is fed is unstable, and it is difficult to regulate the tape length of the top tape wound by the take-up reel to the amount of carrier tape fed, which may result in the top tape breaking when the carrier tape is fed.
[0007] An object of the present specification is to provide a tape feeder device that can properly wind up a top tape without breaking the top tape when feeding a carrier tape. [Means for solving the problem]
[0008] This specification discloses a tape feeder device comprising: a feed motor that feeds a carrier tape in a predetermined direction; a take-up motor that winds a top tape peeled off from a base tape of the carrier tape onto a take-up reel; a measuring unit that measures the amount of the top tape wound onto the take-up reel; and an operation control unit that adjusts the winding operation of the take-up reel by the take-up motor in accordance with the amount of winding measured by the measuring unit.
[0009] According to the present disclosure, the winding operation of the take-up reel by the take-up motor is adjusted according to the amount of the top tape wound around the take-up reel, so that even if the amount of the top tape wound around the take-up reel increases, fluctuations in the winding speed of the top tape wound around the take-up reel can be suppressed. Therefore, the winding speed of the top tape by the take-up motor can be matched to the feeding speed of the carrier tape by the feed motor, so that the top tape can be appropriately wound when the carrier tape is fed without breaking the top tape. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0011] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, a tape feeder device according to an embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0012] The tape feeder device 1 of this embodiment is, for example, a cassette-type tape feeder that is incorporated in an electronic component mounting machine. As shown in Fig. 1, the tape feeder device 1 includes a cassette case 10, a tape loading section 20, a tape transport path 30, a tape feed mechanism section 40, a pressing guide section 50, a base tape discharge section 60, and a top tape winding section 70.
[0013] The cassette case 10 is a main body of the tape feeder device 1. The cassette case 10 is formed in a thin rectangular shape from a transparent or opaque plastic plate or metal plate. The cassette case 10 is capable of housing a carrier tape 80.
[0014] The carrier tape 80 is a tape member that houses electronic components to be mounted on a board by an electronic component mounting machine. The carrier tape 80 has a predetermined tape width and is formed in a long shape. The tape width of the carrier tape 80 is a pre-standardized width, such as 4 mm, 8 mm, 12 mm, 16 mm, or 24 mm. This tape width varies depending on the type of carrier tape 80 and the electronic components to be housed. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the carrier tape 80 has a base tape 81 and a top tape 82.
[0015] The base tape 81 has a cavity 83. The cavity 83 is a hole or a groove that accommodates an electronic component 2 to be mounted on a board by a component mounting machine. The carrier tape 80 may be an embossed tape in which the accommodation portion in which the cavity 83 is provided protrudes downward, or may be a paper tape in which a groove-like cavity 83 is provided on the surface. The cavity 83 is formed in a substantially rectangular cross section. The cavity 83 is provided in the substantially central portion of the base tape 81 in the tape width direction. A plurality of cavities 83 are provided along the tape longitudinal direction, and are arranged in a row at a predetermined interval. As shown in FIG. 3, when the cavity 83 is a hole penetrating the base tape 81, a bottom tape 84 that closes the bottom of the cavity 83 is adhered to the lower surface of the base tape 81.
[0016] The base tape 81 also has feed holes 85. The feed holes 85 are through holes provided for feeding the carrier tape 80 in the tape longitudinal direction. The feed holes 85 are formed in a substantially circular shape. The feed holes 85 are provided at one end of the base tape 81 in the tape width direction. A plurality of the feed holes 85 are provided along the tape longitudinal direction, and are lined up in a row at predetermined intervals.
[0017] The cavities 83 and the sprocket holes 85 are arranged in two rows in the tape width direction, respectively, along the tape longitudinal direction. The interval between the sprocket holes 85 in the tape longitudinal direction may be the same as or different from the interval between the cavities 83 in the tape longitudinal direction.
[0018] The top tape 82 is a tape that is releasably adhered to the upper surface of the base tape 81. The top tape 82 is disposed so as to cover from above the cavity 83 that opens on the upper surface side of the base tape 81. The top tape 82 has a predetermined tape width that is smaller than the tape width of the base tape 81. The tape width of the top tape 82 may differ depending on the type of carrier tape 80, i.e., the tape width of the base tape 81.
[0019] Before being used in an electronic component mounting machine, the carrier tape 80 is wound around a tape reel 90. The tape reel 90 is a disk-shaped member around which the carrier tape 80 is wound. The tape reel 90 has two disk portions 91 and a shaft tube portion 92. Each disk portion 91 is formed in a circular shape. The two disk portions 91 face each other with a gap therebetween. The shaft tube portion 92 is formed in a cylindrical shape. The shaft tube portion 92 is an axis portion that connects the centers of the two facing disk portions 91.
[0020] The tape loading section 20 is a section where the carrier tape 80 is loaded into the cassette case 10. The tape loading section 20 is provided in the cassette case 10. The tape loading section 20 has a tape accommodating section 21 and a reel holding section 22. The tape accommodating section 21 is a section that forms an accommodating space for accommodating a tape reel 90 around which the carrier tape 80 is wound. The reel holding section 22 is an axle section that rotatably holds the tape reel 90. The tape reel 90 is attached to the cassette case 10 such that the entire disk section 91 is accommodated in the tape accommodating section 21 with the reel holding section 22 inserted into the center hole of the axle cylinder section 92.
[0021] The tape transport path 30 is a road surface along which the carrier tape 80 is transported. The tape transport path 30 is formed by a guide member that supports the lower surface of the carrier tape 80 pulled out from the tape reel 90 and guides the carrier tape 80 toward the component transfer position P. The tape transport path 30 extends in an elongated shape so as to incline obliquely upward from the tape reel 90 side to the component transfer position P. The tape transport path 30 in the vicinity of the component transfer position P extends substantially horizontally.
[0022] The tape feed mechanism 40 is a part that pitch-feeds the carrier tape 80 pulled out from the tape reel 90. The tape feed mechanism 40 has a sprocket 41 and a feed motor .
[0023] The sprocket 41 is a rotating body that engages with the carrier tape 80 to feed the carrier tape 80. The sprocket 41 is formed in a substantially disk shape. The sprocket 41 is disposed below the tape transport path 30. The sprocket 41 is rotatably supported by the cassette case 10.
[0024] The sprocket 41 has a plurality of external teeth 41a. The external teeth 41a are portions that engage with the feed holes 85 of the carrier tape 80. The external teeth 41a protrude radially outward from the outer circumferential surface of the body of the sprocket 41. The external teeth 41a are provided around the entire outer periphery of the body of the sprocket 41 at angular intervals that correspond to the intervals of the feed holes 85 of the carrier tape 80. When the external teeth 41a are positioned near the top end of the sprocket 41, they protrude upward beyond the tape transport path 30 through through holes (not shown) formed in the tape transport path 30, and the protruding portions can engage with the feed holes 85 of the carrier tape 80.
[0025] The feed motor 42 is an electric motor that rotates the sprocket 41. The feed motor 42 is connected to the sprocket 41 via a gear. The feed motor 42 rotates the sprocket 41 by rotary drive. The feed motor 42 is intermittently driven so that the sprocket 41 rotates a predetermined angle per drive. When the feed motor 42 is intermittently driven, the sprocket 41 rotates with its external teeth 41a engaged with the feed holes 85 of the carrier tape 80 on the tape transport path 30, thereby transporting the carrier tape 80 in the transport direction Y.
[0026] The pressing guide portion 50 is a portion that, by pressing the upper surface of the carrier tape 80 even if the tape thickness of the carrier tape 80 changes, prevents the carrier tape 80 being transported on the tape transport path 30 from floating up and ensures that the feed holes 85 engage with the sprocket 41. As shown in FIG. 4, the pressing guide portion 50 is formed in an inverted U-shaped cross section. The pressing guide portion 50 is disposed in the vicinity of the component transfer position P and is biased downward. The pressing guide portion 50 is capable of pressing the upper surface of the carrier tape 80 on the tape transport path 30 immediately before the component transfer position P, and is also capable of pulling upward the top tape 82 peeled off from the base tape 81 of the carrier tape 80.
[0027] The pressing guide portion 50 has an upper wall portion 51a and two side wall portions 51b. The upper wall portion 51a is a portion facing the upper surface of the carrier tape 80 on the tape transport path 30. The upper wall portion 51a particularly includes the vicinity of the engagement position between the sprocket 41 and the feed holes 85 of the carrier tape 80. The upper wall portion 51a regulates the upward movement of the carrier tape 80 to prevent the carrier tape 80 from floating up. The side wall portion 51b is a portion that functions as a regulating wall that regulates the movement of the carrier tape 80 in the width direction, for example, of the most versatile 8 mm width. The side wall portion 51b extends downward from the width direction end portion of the upper wall portion 51a.
[0028] The pressing guide portion 50 also has a through hole 51c. The through hole 51c is an escape hole for avoiding interference with the external teeth 41a of the sprocket 41 that engage with the feed holes 85 of the carrier tape 80, and is also a slit for pulling out the top tape 82 peeled off from the base tape 81 from the lower side to the upper side of the upper wall portion 51a. The through hole 51c is provided in the upper wall portion 51a.
[0029] When the top tape 82 of the carrier tape 80 is peeled off from the base tape 81 and pulled upward through the through holes 51c, the electronic components 2 accommodated in the cavities 83 of the base tape 81 are exposed upward through the through holes 51c. The exposed electronic components 2 are removed by a transfer device of the electronic component mounting machine and then mounted on a board.
[0030] The base tape discharge section 60 is a section that discharges the base tape 81 from which the electronic components 2 have been removed at the component transfer position P to the outside of the cassette case 10. The base tape discharge section 60 has a discharge passage 61 and a discharge opening 62. The discharge passage 61 is a guide passage through which the base tape 81 from which the electronic components 2 have been removed flows. The discharge passage 61 is provided so as to extend from the top to the bottom at the front of the cassette case 10. The discharge opening 62 is an opening through which the base tape 81 that has flowed through the discharge passage 61 is discharged to the outside of the cassette case 10. The discharge opening 62 is provided at the bottom of the cassette case 10. After the electronic components 2 have been removed from the base tape 81 at the component transfer position P, the base tape 81 is guided to the discharge passage 61 and then discharged to the outside from the discharge opening 62.
[0031] The top tape take-up portion 70 is a portion that takes up the top tape 82 onto the take-up reel 95. The take-up reel 95 is a disk-shaped member that winds the top tape 82. The take-up reel 95 has two disk portions 96 and a shaft tube portion 97. Each disk portion 96 is formed in a circular shape. The two disk portions 96 face each other with a gap between them. The shaft tube portion 97 is formed in a cylindrical shape. The shaft tube portion 97 is a shaft portion that connects the centers of the two facing disk portions 96.
[0032] The top tape winding section 70 has a top tape collection section 71 and a reel holding section 72. The top tape collection section 71 and the reel holding section 72 are provided in the cassette case 10. The top tape collection section 71 is a section that forms a storage space that stores the take-up reel 95. The top tape collection section 71 is disposed at the upper rear side within the cassette case 10. The reel holding section 72 is a shaft section that rotatably holds the take-up reel 95. The reel holding section 72 has a rotating body that is rotatable relative to the cassette case 10. The take-up reel 95 is attached to the cassette case 10 such that the entire disk section 96 is housed in the top tape collection section 71 with the reel holding section 72 inserted into the center hole of the shaft cylinder section 97.
[0033] The top tape take-up unit 70 also has a take-up motor 73. The take-up motor 73 is an electric motor that rotates the reel holding unit 72. The shaft of the take-up motor 73 is fitted into the shaft center of the reel holding unit 72. The take-up motor 73 rotates the reel holding unit 72 by rotational drive, thereby rotating the take-up reel 95. When the take-up motor 73 is rotationally driven to rotate the take-up reel 95, the top tape 82 that has been peeled off from the base tape 81 and pulled upward from the through hole 51c of the upper wall portion 51a of the pressing guide unit 50 is pulled in the direction opposite to the conveying direction Y of the base tape 81 and taken up by the take-up reel 95. The rotational drive of the take-up motor 73 of the top tape take-up unit 70 is performed in synchronization with the rotational drive of the feed motor 42 of the tape feed mechanism unit 40, as will be described in detail later.
[0034] In the tape feeder device 1 having the above structure, when the carrier tape 80 is loaded into the tape loading section 20, first, the carrier tape 80 is pulled out from the tape reel 90, and the top tape 82 is peeled off from the tip of the base tape 81. Then, the carrier tape 80 is inserted between the tape transport path 30 and the upper wall portion 51a of the pressing guide portion 50 while moving along the tape transport path 30, and the tip of the top tape 82 is pulled out through the through hole 51c of the pressing guide portion 50 to the upper side of the pressing guide portion 50 and is routed so as to be caught by the hooking edge portion on the downstream side of the through hole 51c in the transport direction. When this routing is performed, the external teeth 41a of the sprocket 41 are engaged with the feed hole 85 of the base tape 81, and the tip of the top tape 82 is fixed to the shaft cylinder portion 97 of the take-up reel 95 with the top tape 82 being caught by the hooking edge portion of the pressing guide portion 50.
[0035] When the motors 42, 73 are driven to rotate in this state, the base tape 81 of the carrier tape 80 is sent in the transport direction Y, thereby supplying the electronic component 2 to the component transfer position P, and the top tape 82 is sent together with the base tape 81 in the transport direction Y and then peeled off from the base tape 81 just before the component suction position L, and then pulled in the direction opposite to the transport direction Y of the base tape 81 and taken up onto the take-up reel 95.
[0036] The tape feeder device 1 also includes a control device 100, as shown in Fig. 5. The control device 100 is a device that controls the rotational drive of the motors 42 and 73. The control device 100 includes a first control device 110 that controls the rotational drive of the feed motor 42, and a second control device 120 that controls the rotational drive of the take-up motor 73. The first control device 110 and the second control device 120 are mainly configured with microcomputers, and include a CPU and various memories.
[0037] The first control device 110 intermittently drives the take-up motor 73 so that the sprocket 41 rotates by a predetermined angle corresponding to the interval between two cavities 83 in the carrier tape 80. According to this control, as the sprocket 41 rotates by the predetermined angle, the carrier tape 80 is pitch-fed in the conveying direction Y, and the electronic components 2 in each cavity 83 are sequentially supplied to the component transfer position P. The electronic components 2 supplied to the component transfer position P are removed by a transfer device of the electronic component mounting machine and then mounted on a board.
[0038] As described in detail below, the second control device 120 drives and rotates the take-up motor 73 so that the take-up reel 95 takes up the top tape 82 in accordance with the pitch feeding of the carrier tape 80 by the first control device 110. The second control device 120 has a measurement unit 121 and an operation control unit 122.
[0039] The measuring unit 121 is a section that measures the amount of the top tape 82 wound around the winding reel 95. The amount of winding measured by the measuring unit 121 is the total amount of the top tape 82 wound around the winding reel 95, and is, for example, the distance from the axial center of the winding reel 95 to the outer circumferential surface of the top tape 82 (i.e., the winding diameter).
[0040] Specifically, after the leading end of the top tape 82 is fixed to the take-up reel 95, the measurement unit 121 calculates the integrated amount of operation of the take-up motor 73 from an initial state in which the top tape 82 is not wound around the take-up reel 95 by integrating the amount of operation of the take-up motor 73 rotated and driven at predetermined time intervals (step S100 shown in FIG. 6). Then, the measurement unit 121 measures the amount of take-up of the top tape 82 wound around the take-up reel 95 based on the integrated amount of operation of the take-up motor 73 (step S101). Note that in the above initial state, the integrated amount of operation of the take-up motor 73 and the take-up amount of the top tape 82 are zero, and the take-up diameter of the top tape 82 is at an initial value.
[0041] The greater the cumulative amount of operation of the winding motor 73 from the initial state described above, the greater the winding amount, i.e., the winding diameter, of the top tape 82 on the winding reel 95. There is a predetermined correlation between this cumulative amount of operation of the winding motor 73 and the winding amount of the top tape 82 depending on the outer diameter of the shaft portion of the winding motor 73 and the shaft cylinder portion 97 of the winding reel 95, the thickness of the top tape 82, and the like. For example, if the thickness of the top tape 82 is the same, there is a correlation between the cumulative amount and the winding amount when the same winding motor 73 and the same winding reel 95 are used.
[0042] The second control device 120 stores in advance the relationship between the integrated amount and the winding amount based on the type of take-up motor 73, the type of take-up reel 95, and the thickness of the top tape 82, and is able to read out the relationship between the integrated amount and the winding amount based on the take-up motor 73, the take-up reel 95, and the top tape 82 used in the tape feeder device 1. The measurement unit 121 refers to the read-out relationship between the integrated amount and the winding amount, and measures the winding amount of the top tape 82 wound around the take-up reel 95 based on the integrated amount of the operation amount of the take-up motor 73.
[0043] The operation control unit 122 is a part that controls the winding operation of the take-up reel 95 on which the top tape 82 is wound by the rotational drive of the take-up motor 73. The operation control unit 122 adjusts the winding operation of the take-up reel 95 by the take-up motor 73 in accordance with the amount of top tape 82 taken up on the take-up reel 95 measured by the measurement unit 121. This winding operation is adjusted so that the winding speed of the top tape 82 by the take-up motor 73 matches or approximately matches the feed speed of the carrier tape 80 by the feed motor 42 by driving the take-up motor 73 to rotate at a variable speed even when the intermittent drive of the feed motor 42 is performed at a constant cycle.
[0044] The operation control unit 122 reduces the winding rotational speed of the winding operation in which the take-up reel 95 winds up the top tape 82 as the winding amount of the top tape 82 increases. In the above-mentioned initial state in which the top tape 82 is not wound around the take-up reel 95, the operation control unit 122 sets the winding rotational speed of the take-up reel 95 to a predetermined specified speed, and thereafter sets the winding rotational speed of the take-up reel 95 to decrease as the winding amount of the top tape 82 increases (step S102).
[0045] For example, when almost no top tape 82 is wound around the take-up reel 95 and the amount of the top tape 82 wound around the take-up reel 95 is close to the initial state, i.e., when the take-up diameter of the top tape 82 is close to zero, the take-up motor 73 is driven to rotate so that the take-up rotation speed of the take-up reel 95 becomes relatively high. On the other hand, when a lot of the top tape 82 is wound around the take-up reel 95 and the amount of the top tape 82 wound around the take-up reel 95 is large, i.e., when the take-up diameter of the top tape 82 is large, the take-up motor 73 is driven to rotate so that the take-up rotation speed of the take-up reel 95 becomes relatively low.
[0046] The winding rotation speed of the take-up reel 95 may be decreased stepwise, as shown by the solid line in Fig. 7, in accordance with the amount of the top tape 82 taken up (i.e., as the amount of the top tape 82 taken up increases). In this case, it is preferable that the step level is set so that excessive tension is not applied to the top tape 82 while the top tape 82 is peeled off from the base tape 81 by the rotational drive by the take-up motor 73. Alternatively, the winding rotation speed of the take-up reel 95 may be decreased linearly, as shown by the dashed line in Fig. 7, in accordance with the amount of the top tape 82 taken up (i.e., as the amount of the top tape 82 taken up increases).
[0047] Thus, in the tape feeder device 1, the winding rotation speed of the take-up reel 95 is reduced as the amount of the top tape 82 taken up by the take-up reel 95 increases, so that even if the amount of the top tape 82 taken up by the take-up reel 95 increases, fluctuations in the winding speed of the top tape 82 taken up by the take-up reel 95 can be suppressed. Therefore, by changing the rotational drive of the take-up motor 73 in accordance with the amount of the top tape 82 taken up, the winding speed of the top tape 82 by the take-up motor 73 can be matched to the feed speed of the carrier tape 80 by the feed motor 42. Therefore, the top tape 82 can be properly wound when the carrier tape 80 is fed without breaking the top tape 82.
[0048] Incidentally, in the above embodiment, the take-up amount of the top tape 82 is measured based on an integrated amount obtained by accumulating the operation amount of the take-up motor 73. However, the greater the integrated amount of the operation amount of the take-up motor 73, the greater the risk of a discrepancy between the take-up amount of the top tape 82 predicted from the integrated amount (predicted take-up amount) and the actual take-up amount (actual take-up amount) of the top tape 82. Therefore, the measurement unit 121 of the second control device 120 may have a discrepancy correction unit 121a that corrects this discrepancy.
[0049] 8, the second control device 120 has a detector 123. The detector 123 is a detector for detecting that the amount of the top tape 82 taken up around the take-up reel 95 has reached a predetermined amount. The detector 123 has a movable part 124 and a signal output part 125.
[0050] The movable part 124 is a part that rotates according to the amount of the top tape 82 taken up on the take-up reel 95. The movable part 124 has a shaft part 124a, a contact 124b, and a pressing part 124c. The shaft part 124a is a rotatable part having a shaft hole into which the shaft body 11 fixed to the cassette case 10 is inserted. The contact 124b is a flat bar-shaped part that extends radially outward from the outer circumferential surface of the shaft part 124a, and is a part whose tip part is in contact with the outer circumferential surface of the top tape 82 wound on the take-up reel 95 and is biased. The pressing part 124c is a part that extends radially outward from a part on the outer circumferential surface of the shaft part 124a opposite to the contact 124b, and is a part that can press a switch part 125a (described later) of the signal output part 125.
[0051] The signal output unit 125 is a part that outputs a signal (ON / OFF signal) according to whether or not the amount of the top tape 82 taken up around the take-up reel 95 has reached a predetermined amount. The signal output unit 125 has a switch unit 125a that can be pressed by a pressing unit 124c. The pressing unit 124c does not press the switch unit 125a before the amount of the top tape 82 taken up around the take-up reel 95 reaches the predetermined amount (when the contact 124b is in the state shown by the dashed line in FIG. 8), but presses the switch unit 125a after the amount of the top tape 82 taken up around the take-up reel 95 has reached the predetermined amount (when the contact 124b is in the state shown by the solid line or the state shown by the dashed double-dashed line in FIG. 8). For example, the switch section 125a outputs an OFF signal before the amount of the top tape 82 taken up around the take-up reel 95 reaches the above-mentioned predetermined amount, and outputs an ON signal after the amount of the top tape 82 taken up around the take-up reel 95 reaches the predetermined amount.
[0052] The output signal of the switch unit 125a is supplied to the misalignment correction unit 121a of the measurement unit 121. The misalignment correction unit 121a corrects the winding amount of the top tape 82 measured based on the integrated amount of operation of the winding motor 73 to the above-mentioned predetermined amount at the timing when the ON signal starts to be supplied from the switch unit 125a. Then, the measurement unit 121 measures the winding amount of the top tape 82 based on the integrated amount of operation of the winding motor 73, using the corrected winding amount as a reference. The operation control unit 122 adjusts the winding operation of the take-up reel 95 according to the winding amount measured by the measurement unit 121.
[0053] According to the configuration of this modified embodiment, it is possible to correct to zero the discrepancy between the predicted take-up amount of the top tape 82, measured based on the integrated amount of operation of the take-up motor 73, and the actual take-up amount of the top tape 82, before the discrepancy becomes large. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the take-up speed of the top tape 82 by the take-up motor 73 from deviating significantly from the feed speed of the carrier tape 80 by the feed motor 42, which is caused by the increase in the discrepancy, and it is possible to prevent breakage or slackening of the top tape 82 when the carrier tape 80 is fed.
[0054] In the above embodiment, the measuring unit 121 calculates an integrated amount by accumulating the amount of operation of the winding motor 73 from the initial state, and measures the amount of the top tape 82 wound around the winding reel 95 based on the integrated amount. However, the present disclosure is not limited to this, and as shown in Fig. 9, a camera 130 may be provided that captures an image of the top tape 82 wound around the winding reel 95, and the amount of the top tape 82 may be measured based on an image captured by the camera 130.
[0055] The camera 130 is oriented, for example, between the two disk portions 96 of the take-up reel 95 in a direction tangent to the outer circumferential surface of the take-up reel 95, and is disposed so that the outer circumferential end of the top tape 82 wound around the take-up reel 95 falls within its imaging area. The measurement unit 121 processes the image captured by the camera 130 and measures the amount of the top tape 82 taken up based on the position of the outer circumferential end of the top tape 82. The configuration of this modified form can also provide the same effects as the configuration of the above embodiment.
[0056] Furthermore, the present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and as shown in FIG. 10, a laser displacement meter 140 may be provided to receive laser light irradiated toward the vicinity of the outer peripheral end of the top tape 82 wound around the take-up reel 95, and the amount of the top tape 82 wound up may be measured based on the light reception result of the laser displacement meter 140.
[0057] The laser displacement meter 140 has, for example, a laser emitting unit that irradiates laser light between the two disk portions 96 of the take-up reel 95 in a direction tangent to the outer circumferential surface of the take-up reel 95, and a light receiving unit that receives the laser light from the laser emitting unit, and is disposed so that the light receiving area of the light receiving unit decreases as the amount of top tape 82 wound around the take-up reel 95 increases. The measuring unit 121 then measures the amount of top tape 82 wound based on the light reception result of the laser displacement meter 140. The configuration of this modified form can also provide the same effects as the configuration of the above embodiment.
[0058] Furthermore, the present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and as shown in FIG. 11, a sensor element 150 is provided that is biased against the outer peripheral surface of the top tape 82 wound around a take-up reel 95, and a signal output unit 151 is provided that outputs a signal according to the amount of movement (specifically, the amount of rotation) of the sensor element 150 from its initial position, and the amount of winding of the top tape 82 is measured based on the amount of movement of the sensor element 150 from its initial position from the signal output unit 151.
[0059] The probe 150 may have a structure similar to that of the movable part 124 of the detector 123 described above. The signal output unit 151 has a plurality of outputs that output signals according to whether the probe 150 has reached different moving positions, and is arranged so that different outputs output an ON signal in sequence as the amount of top tape 82 wound around the take-up reel 95 increases. The measurement unit 121 measures the amount of top tape 82 wound based on the output signals of the outputs of the signal output unit 151. The configuration of this modified form can also provide the same effects as the configuration of the above embodiment.
[0060] Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the tape feeder device 1 is a cassette-type tape feeder whose main body is covered by the cassette case 10. However, the present disclosure is not limited to this, and the tape feeder device 1 may be applied to a tape feeder other than a cassette-type tape feeder.
[0061] The present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiment and modified examples, and various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention. [Explanation of symbols]
