Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a method for fixing a glass plate and a glass window that can enhance security.
Background Art
[0002] Buildings that separate the interior and the exterior are equipped with doors with locks and the like at the openings connecting the inside and outside for security reasons. The same applies to windows. For example, sliding windows are provided with a key on the indoor side that locks by lifting a handle called a crescent lock and hanging it on a receiver, and cannot be opened from the outside.
[0003] By the way, a glass window fixes a glass plate to a window frame by fitting the glass plate into a glass fitting portion formed on the inner peripheral edge of the window frame and installing a bar called a pressing edge along the outer peripheral edge of the glass plate. This pressing edge can be removed relatively easily by using a tool having a sharp tip, and the glass plate can be replaced when the glass plate is cracked or chipped.
[0004] Also, the pressing edge is generally arranged on the outdoor side. The biggest reason for arranging the pressing edge on the outdoor side is to prevent raindrops that have entered the gap between the window frame and the glass plate from flowing into the room. That is, when the pressing edge is installed on the outdoor side, the raindrops that have entered accumulate downward due to gravity, but the lower side of the glass fitting portion can prevent the raindrops from flowing into the indoor side by acting as a wall. On the other hand, when the pressing edge is installed on the indoor side, the lower side of the glass fitting portion is arranged on the outdoor side of the glass plate and cannot prevent the flow into the indoor side, so the raindrops that have entered will flow into the room.
[0005] However, when the pressing edge is installed on the outdoor side, security becomes a problem. As described above, since the pressing edge can be easily removed by using a tool having a sharp tip or the like, there is a problem that the entire glass plate may be removed. Therefore, even if a strong lock is provided on the window, there is a risk of being easily invaded due to the conventional structure.
[0006] In view of such problems, the inventors of the present application have developed various countermeasures so far. For example, in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2003-278452, in a glass plate mounting structure of a window sash that supports and fixes a glass plate disposed on a mounting portion via a pressing edge, the pressing edge is characterized in that at least 50% or more of its constituent members are provided only on the indoor side, and a glass plate mounting structure of a window sash is invented and its disclosure is made (Patent Document 1). According to this Patent Document 1, it is said that it is possible to prevent the removal of the glass plate from the outdoor side in the glass plate mounting structure.

Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0008] However, in the invention described in Patent Document 1, since the structure is significantly different from the conventional window sash structure, there is a large burden in terms of manufacturing cost. In addition, the replacement work of the glass plate needs to be performed on both the indoor side and the outdoor side, which also increases the burden in terms of workability. For these reasons, it has not become generally widespread at present.
[0009] The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object thereof is to provide a glass plate fixing method and a glass window that can enhance the crime prevention performance without significantly changing the conventional structure or imposing a large burden on workability.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0010] The glass plate fixing method according to the present invention is a glass plate fixing method for fixing a glass plate to a window frame, without making major changes to the conventional structure or imposing a large burden on workability, and solving the problem of enhancing crime prevention performance. The method includes fitting the glass plate into the inner peripheral edge of the window frame, installing a lower pressing edge at the lower part of the inner peripheral edge of the window frame to press the lower part of the glass plate, installing side pressing edges on both left and right sides of the inner peripheral edge of the window frame to press both left and right sides of the glass plate and pressing the lower pressing edge downward, and installing an upper pressing edge at the upper part of the inner peripheral edge of the window frame to press the upper part of the glass plate and pressing both left and right side pressing edges laterally.
[0011] Also, as an aspect of the present invention, in order to solve the problem of further enhancing crime prevention performance by fastening and fixing the upper pressing edge that must be removed first when removing the glass plate, only the upper pressing edge installed at the upper part of the inner peripheral edge of the window frame may be fixed to the window frame with screws.
[0012] The glass window according to the present invention is a glass window having a glass plate, a window frame into which the glass plate is fitted, and a pressing edge set installed at the peripheral edge of the fitted glass plate to fix the glass plate to the window frame, without making major changes to the conventional structure or imposing a large burden on workability, and solving the problem of enhancing crime prevention performance. The window frame has a glass fitting portion for fitting the glass plate into its inner peripheral edge. The pressing edge set is composed of a lower pressing edge for pressing the lower part of the glass plate, a pair of left and right side pressing edges for pressing the left or right side part of the glass plate, and an upper pressing edge for pressing the upper part of the glass plate. The lower pressing edge is formed to have a length dimension corresponding to the left and right width of the lower edge of the glass fitting portion. The side pressing edge is formed to have a length dimension obtained by subtracting the vertical width of the lower pressing edge from the vertical width of the side edge of the glass fitting portion. The upper pressing edge is formed to have a length dimension obtained by subtracting the left and right widths of both left and right side pressing edges from the left and right width of the upper edge of the glass fitting portion.
[0013] Also, as one aspect of the present invention, in order to solve the problem of enhancing the fixing force and anti-theft performance of the glass plate by restricting the forward and backward movement of the pressing edge set, the inner peripheral surface of the window frame is provided with a concave receiving portion formed in a concave shape, and the contact surface of the pressing edge set that contacts the inner peripheral surface of the window frame may have a convex fitting portion formed in a convex shape so as to be fitted into the concave receiving portion.
[0014] Furthermore, as one aspect of the present invention, in order to solve the problem of further enhancing the anti-theft performance by fastening and fixing the upper pressing edge that must be removed first when removing the glass plate and hiding the head of the screw, the lower surface of the upper pressing edge is provided with a concave head storage portion formed in a concave shape capable of storing the head of the screw. The upper pressing edge is fixed to the window frame by the screw that penetrates upward from the concave head storage portion, and the concave head storage portion storing the head of the screw may be filled with an adhesive.
Effects of the Invention
[0015] According to the present invention, it is possible to enhance the anti-theft performance without making a major change to the conventional structure or imposing a large burden on workability.

Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[0017] Hereinafter, an embodiment of a glass window according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0018] As shown in FIG. 1, the glass window 1 of this embodiment includes a glass plate 2, a window frame 3 into which the glass plate 2 is fitted, a pressing edge set 4 for fixing the fitted glass plate 2, and screws 5 for fixing the upper pressing edge 43 to the window frame 3. Hereinafter, each component will be described.
[0019] The glass plate 2 is a plate material formed of glass. In this embodiment, it is formed in a rectangular shape. This glass plate 2 may be composed of a single piece of glass, or may be a so-called multilayer glass in which a plurality of glass pieces are arranged in layers and a desiccant or the like is arranged at the outer peripheral portion to enhance the heat insulation performance.
[0020] The window frame 3 is a frame body for holding the glass plate 2 by fitting the glass plate 2 and sandwiching it with the pressing edge set 4, and is also called a sash (かまち). As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the window frame 3 in this embodiment has an opening in the center, and is formed in a rectangular frame shape with an outer dimension larger than that of the glass plate 2 and an inner dimension smaller than that of the glass plate 2. A glass fitting portion 31 for fitting the glass plate 2 is formed on the inner peripheral edge of this window frame 3.
[0021] As shown in FIG. 2, the glass fitting portion 31 is configured to be recessed from the front surface to the rear surface (from the front side to the back side in FIG. 2) of the inner peripheral edge of the window frame 3 to a dimension that allows the glass plate 2 to be fitted. The front-rear depth of the glass fitting portion 31 is deeper than the thickness of the glass plate 2, and is formed to a depth that allows the pressing edge set 4 to be installed in front of the fitted glass plate 2.
[0022] Further, on the inner peripheral surface of the window frame 3 in the present embodiment, a concave receiving portion 32 for fitting a convex fitting portion 44 formed on the pressing edge set 4 is formed. Specifically, the concave receiving portion 32 is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the window frame 3 at portions corresponding to the lower surface, the left and right side surfaces, and the upper surface of the glass insertion portion 31. As shown in FIG. 3, it is concave along the front surface of the glass plate 2 fitted into the glass insertion portion 31 and is formed to a depth that can fit the convex fitting portion 44 formed on the side pressing edge 42 or the like.
[0023] In the present embodiment, the concave receiving portion 32 is formed one by one on each of the lower surface, the left and right side surfaces, and the upper surface of the inner peripheral surface. However, the present invention is not limited to such a configuration, and it may be configured by a plurality of holes or a plurality of grooves.
[0024] The pressing edge set 4 is for fixing the glass plate 2 fitted into the window frame 3. In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, it has a lower pressing edge 41 for pressing the lower part of the glass plate 2, a pair of left and right side pressing edges 42, 42 for pressing the left or right side part of the glass plate 2, and an upper pressing edge 43 for pressing the upper part of the glass plate 2.
[0025] The lower pressing edge 41 is a pressing edge for pressing the lower part of the glass plate 2. In the present embodiment, it is made of a long resin material having a length dimension corresponding to the left - right width of the lower edge of the glass insertion portion 31. Further, on the contact surface that contacts the window frame 3, that is, on the lower surface of the lower pressing edge 41, a convex fitting portion 44 is formed convexly so as to be fitted into the concave receiving portion 32.
[0026] The pair of left and right side pressing edges 42, 42 are pressing edges for pressing the left or right side part of the glass plate 2. Similar to the lower pressing edge 41, they are formed of a long resin material. The side pressing edge 42 is formed to have a length dimension obtained by subtracting the vertical width of the lower pressing edge 41 from the vertical width of the side edge of the glass insertion portion 31. By installing it after installing the lower pressing edge 41, it presses the glass plate 2 and presses the lower pressing edge 41 downward.
[0027] Further, a convex fitting portion 44 that can be fitted into the concave receiving portion 32 is formed on the contact surface of the side pressing edge 42 that contacts the window frame 3. Specifically, on the side pressing edge 42 installed on the left side, a convex fitting portion 44 is formed on its left side surface, and on the side pressing edge 42 installed on the right side, a convex fitting portion 44 is formed on its right side surface.
[0028] The upper pressing edge 43 is a pressing edge for pressing the upper part of the glass plate 2, and like the other pressing edges 41, 42, it is formed of a long resin material. Also, the upper pressing edge 43 is formed to have a length dimension obtained by subtracting the left and right widths of the side pressing edges 42, 42 from the left and right width of the upper edge of the glass insertion portion 31. And by installing it after installing the side pressing edges 42, 42 on both the left and right sides, the upper pressing edge 43 presses the upper part of the glass plate 2 and presses the side pressing edges 42, 42 on both the left and right sides toward the side.
[0029] Also, on the upper surface of the upper pressing edge 43, which is the contact surface that contacts the window frame 3, a convex fitting portion 44 that is convexly formed so as to be fitted into the concave receiving portion 32 is formed.
[0030] Furthermore, on the lower surface of the upper pressing edge 43, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 4, a concave head storage portion 45 that is formed in a concave shape capable of storing the head 51 of the screw 5 is provided. The concave head storage portion 45 in the present embodiment is formed at a total of three locations, namely, at approximately the center position on the left and right of the upper pressing edge 43 and at symmetric positions on the left and right with respect to the center position thereof.
[0031] The screw 5 is a screw member for fixing the upper pressing edge 43 to the window frame 3, and has a head 51 into which a plus driver, a minus driver, a hexagonal wrench, or the like can be fitted. In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 4, the screw 5 is fastened upward from the concave head storage portion 45 formed on the lower surface of the upper pressing edge 43, and thus penetrates the upper pressing edge 43 and is fastened and fixed to the window frame 3. Also, the concave head storage portion 45 in which the head 51 of the screw 5 is stored is filled with an adhesive 52.
[0032] Next, the operation of each component in the glass window 1 of the present embodiment will be described together with the glass plate fixing method of the present embodiment.
[0033] The glass plate fixing method of the present embodiment mainly includes, as shown in FIGS. 5 to 9, a glass plate fitting step of fitting the glass plate 2 into the glass fitting portion 31, a pressing edge setting step of installing the pressing edge set 4, and a screw fixing step of fixing the upper pressing edge 43 with screws 5. Each step will be described below.
[0034] In the glass plate fitting step, as shown in FIG. 5, the glass plate 2 is fitted into the glass fitting portion 31 formed on the inner peripheral edge of the window frame 3.
[0035] In the pressing edge setting step, the pressing edge set 4 is installed on the lower part, both left and right side parts, and the upper part of the glass plate 2 to fix the glass plate 2. In the present embodiment, the installation is performed in the order of the lower pressing edge 41, the side pressing edges 42, 42 on both left and right sides, and the upper pressing edge 43.
[0036] Specifically, as shown in FIG. 6, the lower pressing edge 41 is installed by sliding it downward from above so that the convex fitting portion 44 formed on the lower surface is fitted into the concave receiving portion 32 formed on the inner peripheral surface of the window frame 3. The installed lower pressing edge 41 sandwiches the lower part of the glass plate 2 together with the glass fitting portion 31 and fixes it to the window frame 3. In the present embodiment, since the convex fitting portion 44 is fitted into the concave receiving portion 32 on the inner peripheral surface of the window frame 3, the movement of the lower pressing edge 41 in the front-rear direction is restricted, and the glass plate 2 can be firmly fixed.
[0037] Next, the side pressing edges 42, 42 on both left and right sides are installed on the left and right side edges of the glass fitting portion 31. The installation order of the side pressing edges 42 is not particularly limited, and it may be in the order from right to left, from left to right, or both left and right simultaneously.
[0038] In this embodiment, similar to the lower pressing edge 41, the convex fitting portion 44 formed on the side surface is slid leftward or rightward from the inside of the window frame 3 so as to be fitted into the concave receiving portion 32 formed on the inner peripheral surface of the window frame 3 and installed.
[0039] The installed side pressing edge 42 sandwiches and fixes the side portion of the glass plate 2 together with the glass insertion portion 31. In this embodiment, since the convex fitting portion 44 is fitted into the concave receiving portion 32 on the inner peripheral surface of the window frame 3, the side pressing edge 42, similar to the lower pressing edge 41, has its movement in the front-rear direction restricted and can firmly fix the glass plate 2.
[0040] Further, the side pressing edge 42 is formed to have a length dimension obtained by subtracting the vertical width of the lower pressing edge 41 from the vertical width of the side edge of the glass insertion portion 31. By being installed on the side edge of the glass insertion portion 31, its upper end portion is locked to the upper edge of the glass insertion portion 31, and its lower end portion presses the lower pressing edge 41 downward.
[0041] As a result, the lower pressing edge 41 is restricted in movement in the front-rear direction by the convex fitting portion 44 fitted into the concave receiving portion 32 and is restricted in movement in the vertical direction by the side pressing edge 42. Therefore, it cannot be removed unless both the left and right side pressing edges 42 are removed.
[0042] Next, the upper pressing edge 43 is installed on the upper edge of the glass insertion portion 31. In this embodiment, similar to the other pressing edges 41 and 42, the convex fitting portion 44 formed on the upper surface is installed while being slid upward from the downward direction so as to be fitted into the concave receiving portion 32 formed on the inner peripheral surface of the window frame 3.
[0043] The installed upper pressing edge 43 sandwiches and fixes the upper portion of the glass plate 2 together with the glass insertion portion 31. In this embodiment, since the convex fitting portion 44 is fitted into the concave receiving portion 32 of the window frame 3, the upper pressing edge 43, similar to the other pressing edges 41 and 42, can be firmly fixed with respect to the front-rear direction.
[0044] Further, the upper pressing edge 43 is formed to have a length dimension obtained by subtracting the left and right widths of the left and right side pressing edges 42, 42 from the left and right width of the side edge of the glass fitting portion 31. By being installed on the upper edge of the glass fitting portion 31, the left and right side pressing edges 42, 42 are respectively pressed and held in the left and right directions.
[0045] As a result, for both the left and right side pressing edges 42, 42, the movement is restricted in the front-rear direction by the convex fitting portion 44 fitted in the concave receiving portion 32, and the movement is restricted in the left-right direction by the upper pressing edge 43. Therefore, it cannot be removed unless the upper pressing edge 43 is removed first.
[0046] Next, the upper pressing edge 43 is fixed to the window frame 3 with screws 5. Specifically, the screw 5 is driven upward from the concave head storage portion 45 of the upper pressing edge 43, passed through the upper pressing edge 43, and fastened and fixed to the window frame 3. The screw 5 is fastened until the head 51 is stored in the concave head storage portion 45. Then, as shown in FIG. 4, an adhesive 52 is filled in the concave head storage portion 45 in which the head 51 is stored to prevent the easy removal of the screw 5.
[0047] According to the present embodiment as described above, the following operations and effects can be achieved. 1. The glass window 1 is composed of a glass plate 2, a window frame 3, and a pressing edge set 4 equivalent to those of conventional products. By devising the length of the pressing edge set 4 and the installation order, the problems can be solved. Therefore, it does not require a major change to the conventional structure or impose a large burden on workability, and has a practical configuration that is easy to spread. 2. Since the glass plate 2 cannot be removed from the window frame 3 unless the order of removing the pressing edge set 4 is known, the security can be enhanced. 3. It is necessary to remove the upper pressing edge 43, the left and right side pressing edges 42, 42, and the lower pressing edge 41 in this order. Since it is necessary to remove the upper pressing edge 43 which is difficult to reach by hand from the ground, it becomes difficult to remove without using a stand or the like. 4. Since the upper pressing edge 43 is fixed to the window frame 3 with screws 5, it becomes even more difficult to remove. 5. By storing the head 51 of the screw 5 in the concave head storage portion 45, it is possible to make it less conspicuous that the upper pressing edge 43 is fixed by the screw 5. 6. Since the concave head storage portion 45 is filled with the adhesive 52, it is possible to prevent the removal of the screw 5 and suppress deterioration due to rust or the like of the screw 5. 7. Since the pressing edge set 4 is restricted from moving in the front - rear direction by the convex fitting portion 44, the glass plate 2 can be firmly fixed. 8. Even if an attempt is made to remove each of the pressing edges 41, 42, 43 by pulling in the front - rear direction, since the movement in the front - rear direction is restricted by the convex fitting portion 44, it cannot be removed.
[0048] Note that the glass plate fixing method and the glass window according to the present invention are not limited to the above - described embodiments and can be appropriately changed. For example, a waterproof sealing material, packing, or the like may be applied to the gap between the glass plate 2 and the window frame 3 and the gap between the glass plate 2 and the pressing edge set 4.
