Abstract

A method for manufacturing an image display device according to an embodiment comprises: a step for forming a graphene layer on a first substrate; a step for forming, on the graphene layer, a semiconductor layer that includes a light-emitting layer; a step for processing the semiconductor layer to form a light-emitting element that has a bottom surface on the graphene layer, and includes a light-emitting surface on the reverse side from the bottom surface; a step for forming a first insulating film that covers the first substrate, the graphene layer, and the light-emitting element; a step for forming a circuit element on the first insulating film; a step for forming a second insulating film that covers the first insulating film and the circuit element; a step for removing part of the first insulating film and part of the second insulating film to expose the light-emitting surface; a step for forming a via that passes through the first insulating layer and the second insulating layer; and a step for forming a wiring layer on the second insulating film.
