[0056] The reason why the skin coloring compositions of the examples were able to exhibit good color durability is believed to be as follows. As a hair coloring composition commonly used for dyeing hair, one containing an acid dye, similar to the skin coloring composition in the above example, is known. Hair coloring compositions are applied to hair, which is composed of dead cells excreted from the hair root. Therefore, once a coloring component such as an acid dye penetrates into the hair, it cannot be removed from the hair by turnover, as occurs in the stratum corneum of the skin. Therefore, if the coloring component can penetrate to a predetermined depth inside the hair, it is believed that the durability of the hair color will be improved. On the other hand, the outermost layer of the skin, the stratum corneum, is peeled off due to turnover. If the stratum corneum is not healthy, turnover will be accelerated, accelerating peeling of the stratum corneum, and coloring components that have penetrated the stratum corneum will be more likely to be expelled from the stratum corneum. Therefore, in order to maintain skin coloring for a long period of time, it is considered important not only to penetrate coloring components deeper into the stratum corneum, but also to maintain the stratum corneum in a healthy state and suppress the rate of turnover.
