Abstract

To provide a silica particle having a narrow charge distribution when taking an electrical charge.SOLUTION: A silica particle includes a nitrogen element-containing compound, where a ratio C / D of an integral value C of a signal observed within a range of a chemical shift of 50 ppm or more and 75 ppm or less, and an integral value D of a signal observed within a range of a chemical shift of 90 ppm or more and 120 ppm or less in a 29Si solid nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrum by a cross polarization / magic angle spin (CP / MAS) method is 0.10 or larger and 0.75 or smaller, an extraction amount X of the nitrogen element-containing compound by an ammonium / methanol mixed solution is 0.1 mass% or more, and an extraction amount X of the nitrogen element-containing compound, and an extraction amount Y of the nitrogen element-containing compound by water satisfy formula: Y / X<0.3.SELECTED DRAWING: None
