Abstract
A wire tensioner (1) comprises: a drum (10); a wire (5); a locking mechanism (16); a handle (9); and a reverse-winding prevention member (14). The drum (10) is rotatable. The wire (5) is fixed to the drum (10), and is wound around the drum (10) as the drum (10) rotates in a direction A. The locking mechanism (16) is capable of preventing the drum (10) from rotating in a direction B which is a direction opposite to the direction A. The handle (9) is operated to rotate the drum (10) in the direction A or the direction B. By coming into contact with the wire (5), the reverse-winding prevention member (14) prevents the drum (10) from rotating, with the wire (5) completely unwound from the drum, in the direction B.
