Primer and probe composition, kit, and use thereof for detecting coronaviruses

Abstract

The present invention relates to the field of molecular biotechnology, and provides a primer and probe composition, a kit, and a use thereof for detecting coronaviruses. The primer and probe composition includes 28 pairs of primers with nucleotide sequences set forth in SEQ ID No.1 to SEQ ID No.56 and 28 probes with nucleotide sequences set forth in SEQ ID No.57 to SEQ ID No.84. Through the designed 28 primer-probe pairs that target the highly conserved gene regions in the coronavirus genome, the present invention ensures the detection of nearly all currently known coronaviruses, effectively addresses viral mutations, reduces the risk of false negatives resulting from such mutations, and guarantees the long-term stability and reliability of the detection method.
