Abstract
A lever is generally a rigid bar that can rotate around a fixed point called the fulcrum or pivot point. The applied force is usually called the effort or power, and the force that is overcome is called the load or resistance. Essentially, it consists of a rigid bar, a fulcrum (or pivot point), a force (or resistance) that must be overcome, and the effort (or power) applied to perform the action. The distance between the fulcrum and the point where each force is applied on the rigid bar is called the lever arm. As with almost all simple tools, the lever is used to overcome a resistance, located at one end of the bar, by applying a smaller force, called the effort, at the other end.It is also observed, as in the previous case, that the use of this lever involves a rotary movement with respect to the fulcrum, which is again called the axis of rotation.
