Abstract

The subject of the application is a flow reactor for integrated photocatalytic and sorption processes in the aqueous phase, comprising a main chamber (1) with a cover (2), an inlet port (3) and an outlet port (4), a lighting module (5), a photocatalytic section (A) and an adsorption section (B), characterized in that the photocatalytic section (A) is located in the main chamber (1) and comprises photocatalytic modules (6) made of ceramic materials, coated with a photocatalytic layer based on: titanium dioxide TiO2 or tungsten oxide WO3 or zinc oxide ZnO or photoactive metal-organic frameworks MOF, such as PCN-222, NH2-MIL-125, NU-1000, PCN-601, UiO-67, UiO-66 and composites thereof, wherein the photocatalytic modules (6) are in the form of porous ceramic materials, are arranged in parallel at an equal distance from each other and mounted on guides (8) placed in the side walls of the main chamber (1),and between the photocatalytic modules (6) there are lighting modules (5) placed in tight covers (7), centrally, at a distance of 10 to 50 mm from the photocatalytic modules (6), wherein the lighting modules (5) are mounted in the cover (2) or in the lower part of the main chamber (1a) of the flow reactor; at least one adsorption section (B), which is located before the photocatalytic section (A) or is located behind the photocatalytic section (A) or is located before and behind the photocatalytic section (A) and is placed at opposite ends of the main chamber (1) in the form of a cassette (13) filled with granules based on polyethersulfone (PES) or PES in a composite with metal-organic frameworks, carbon nanotubes, activated carbon or zeolites, or an adsorption layer (9) being a porous ceramic material covered with a layer of sorption material, which are metal-organic frameworks MOF deposited on porous ceramic matrices or is placed outside the main chamber (1) in the form of at least one column, connected to the main chamber (1) by a conduit and contains granules made of PES or PES with the addition of MOF, activated carbon, carbon nanotubes or zeolites or a layer of sorption material, which are metal-organic frameworks MOF deposited on porous ceramic matrices; wherein the cover (2) of the reactor is closed by means of a pressing mechanism (10); wherein in the lower part of the main chamber (1a) there is an inlet connector (3), and in the cover (2), at its opposite end, there is an outlet connector (4) in such a way that the liquid is introduced into the reactor from the bottom through the inlet connector (3) and discharged from the top through the outlet connector (4),and the liquid flow in the reactor is perpendicular to the arrangement of the photocatalytic modules (6). The subject of the application is also a method for purifying the aqueous phase in a flow reactor for integrated photocatalytic and sorption processes.
