Abstract

A solar panel mounting system includes at least one solar panel attached to a solar panel support member, a vertical support member supporting the horizontal support member, and a rotation influencing means for influencing the rotation of the at least one solar panel. Wind force upon the at least one solar panel causes the at least one solar panel to rotate around the horizontal support member. The system may include a stop wire configured to limit rotation in one direction, a release mechanism for disengaging the stop wire under strong force, a stop bar connected to a hinge, and a weight to add torque. The system can also feature interconnected solar panels for common movement around the horizontal support member.
