Abstract
The invention relates to a micro-electromechanical device for generating electrical energy (1) which, when simply pressed, produces a sufficient quantity of electrical energy to power low-consumption electronic components. This micro-device is characterized by a weight and volume comparable to, or even smaller than, two AA batteries, and can, in a way, be housed in their place. The unique feature of this micro-electromechanical device is its ability to abruptly reverse the direction of the magnetic flux flowing from the north pole to the south pole, or vice versa. This reversal is achieved by simply pressing a toggle lever (7) which pivots inside a coil (10) and between two ingeniously designed ferromagnetic bodies, one representing the north pole (2) and the other the south pole (3). The change in the direction of the flux through the coil (10), which is the site of a variable magnetic flux, produces an induced voltage (12) between its terminals, and which, after rectification, storage and regulation, allows low-power electronic components to be powered.
