Conceal Carry Holster

Abstract

The present disclosure provides a concealed carry holster apparatus configured to assist a user in concealing a thermoplastic holster and firearm securely and comfortably around the torso by utilizing sticky fabric inside the holster and compression from elastic material and belt that is sewn over the top of the holster drawing the thermoplastic holster and firearm into the sticky fabric securely holding the thermoplastic holster inside and against the body. The holster has a front panel, joined to a back panel with an elastic fabric attached to the front panel creating a pocket for the thermoplastic holster. A belt configured to wrap around a user is sewn over the top of the holster at the edges to compress the thermoplastic holster against the sticky fabric inside causing firm retention of the thermoplastic holster.

[0002] The present invention relates to a concealed carry holster for women. More specifically, the present invention relates to a holster utilizing sticky fabric inside the holster that when compression is applied the sticky fabric of the holster securely holds a thermoplastic holster securely on the body.BACKGROUND

[0003] There is a lack of concealed carry holsters available that are unique and specifically made for women.

[0004] Women's bodies are different, the clothing they wear is different and the safety and comfort issues are different from men's.

[0005] The holster industry is oriented towards men and making holsters in pink does not change the problems that women have with them.

[0006] Women continue to search for a concealed carry holster that fits their body securely, while providing layers of safety including trigger coverage, retention, access, concealment, and comfort.

[0007] Thermoplastic holsters are popular because of the trigger coverage, retention of the firearm and access.

[0008] Thermoplastic holsters are unpopular with women because thermoplastic holsters worn against the skin are uncomfortable, they require a belt, depending on the clip concealability can be an issue, and a holster and firearm attached only by a clip to a belt or waistband does not feel as secure to women as is does to men.

[0009] Many women never wear belts. Women also wear clothing such as yoga pants, sweat pants, skirts, etc. that don't accommodate a clip or weight of a thermoplastic holster and firearm.

[0010] Also, women visiting the restroom wearing a thermoplastic holster clipped to a belt or waistband require complete removal. Failure to remove before loosening the waistband can result in a flipped holster and the firearm falling to the floor. This is one of the greatest concerns women have regarding the typical IWB thermoplastic holster.SUMMARY

[0011] The present invention allows women to use a thermoplastic holster without any of the disadvantages as well as provide for a concealed carry holster that is unique in its structure to fit a women's body made from soft and comfortable materials.

[0012] The disclosed holster is made from sticky fabric consisting of a back panel, front panel, and elastic fabric joined to the front panel to create a pocket for the thermoplastic holster and firearm between the elastic fabric and front panel. A tab and snap joined to the front panel at the bottom is a second tier of retention of the thermoplastic holster by snapping onto the thermoplastic holster. Trim seals the three edges of the back panel, front panel, and elastic material, and tab. A 2″ stretch belt configured to wrap around a women's torso is made from 2″ elastic sewn to 2″ Velstretch and secured on the body by Velcro hook against the 2″ Velstretch material. The belt is sewn over the top of the holster at the upper edge of the elastic material.

[0013] The present invention does away with the need for women to wear a belt and allows her to wear the holster with any kind of clothing.

[0014] The present invention fits securely on a women's body due to the belt compressing the sticky fabric of the back panel against the skin of the user adhering the holster to the skin and the compression of the thermoplastic holster against the front panel of the holster while in the pocket between the elastic material and the sticky fabric of the front panel.

[0015] The secondary retention of the holster by snapping the thermoplastic between the elastic and the sticky fabric of the front panel ensures greater safety and security of the thermoplastic holster on the body ensuring that the holster will not be drawn along with the firearm providing a nice clean draw.

[0016] The present invention allows for greater comfort as the holster provides padding from the back and front panels between the skin and the thermoplastic holster.

[0017] The present invention allows for greater concealment because it allows the user to remove the clip of any thermoplastic holster prior to inserting into the pocket between the elastic material and the sticky fabric reducing the bulk and printing of the firearm by ½ to ¾″ or more. The belt running over the top of the holster also enhances concealment by giving the user the ability to pull the holster very tightly into the body which enhances concealment.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0024] The present disclosure provides a concealed carry holster apparatus configured to assist a user in concealing a thermoplastic holster and firearm securely and comfortably around the torso by utilizing sticky fabric inside the holster and compression from the elastic and attached belt that is sewn over the top of the holster drawing the thermoplastic holster against the sticky fabric and body for retention of the thermoplastic holster in the pocket and on the body.

[0025] The present disclosure provides a detailed description and preferred embodiment referring to a concealed carry holster configured to assist a user in wearing a thermoplastic holster comfortably, and securely on the body.

[0026] The holster (1) is approximately 4.5″×6.5″ having a back panel of sticky fabric (9) sewn to a front panel of sticky fabric (8). A 4″×4.5″ heavy duty elastic (7) is sewn to the front panel (8). A leather tab (11) of approximately 1″×3″ with a snap (12) at one end is sewn to the front panel (8) at the bottom. A trim (10) seals the three edges of the back panel (9) the front panel (8) the 4″ elastic (7) and the tab (11) with a snap (12). A belt (2) configured to wear around the torso wherever user prefers is approximately 2″×54″ and is sewn over the top 2″ of the 4″×4.5″ elastic (7).

[0027] The belt (2) consists of 2″ elastic (3) and 2″ Velstretch (4) sewn together at the edges and at one end attaches a low-profile tri-glide (6) by folding the 2″ Velstretch (4) through one of the openings and sewing it through the 2″ Elastic (3) and 2″ Velstretch (4). At the other end Velcro hook (5) approximately 1.25″×4″ is sewn on the 2″ elastic (3) after folding the end of the 2″ Elastic (3) over approximately 5″ to meet the end of the 2″ Velstretch (4) and sewn through all layers.

[0028] The user inserts a thermoplastic holster (14) between the front panel (8) and the 4″ elastic (7) and snaps thermoplastic holster (14) in place using the tab (11) and snap (12). The user places the holster on the torso at their preferred position (13) and pulls the Velcro hook (5) end of the belt (2) through the opening of the low-profile tri-glide (6) pulling it through around the body and securing the end with Velcro hook (5) against the Velstretch (4) material.

[0029] Persons of ordinary skill in the art may appreciate that numerous design configurations may be possible to enjoy the functional benefits of the holster. Thus, given the wide variety of configurations and arrangements of the invention is reflected by the breadth of the claims below rather than narrowed by the embodiments described above.

Claims

1. A concealed carry holster apparatus configured to assist women in concealing a thermoplastic holster and firearm utilizing sticky fabric to retain a thermoplastic holster in way than is not currently available on the market comprising:a elastic panel, joined to a sticky fabric front panel, joined to a sticky fabric back panel;a leather or web tab with a snap cap and socket at one end joined to the sticky fabric front panel at the bottom;a trim sealing the three panels and tab together by sewing through all layers;a elastic belt sewn over the top 2″ of the elastic panel at the side edges and configured to wrap around a human user.

2. The holster of claim 1, further comprises a pocket is formed between the elastic and the sticky fabric front panel for the purpose of accommodating a thermoplastic holster and retaining it in place.

3. The holster of claim 1, further comprises the coupling mechanisms of the holster and belt comprise of a snap cap and socket, Velstretch and Velcro hook.

4. The holster of claim 1, further comprises the pressure from the belt and the elastic compresses the thermoplastic holster against the sticky fabric causing retention of the thermoplastic holster in the pocket.

The holster of claim 1, further comprises a low-profile tri-glide sewn at one end of the belt to allow the other end of the belt into the glide pulling the belt through to tighten the holster and belt around the body compressing the belt and elastic against the thermoplastic holster into the sticky fabric of the front panel to retain the thermoplastic holster.

6. The holster of claim 1, further comprises a conceal carry holster for women that allows them to wear a thermoplastic holster and firearm securely on their body with the comfort of the sticky fabric front panel and sticky fabric back panel between the thermoplastic holster and their skin.
