[0015] The drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale.DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0016] The invention will be understood from the following detailed description of embodiments of the invention, which are meant to be descriptive and not limiting. For the sake of brevity, some well-known features are not described in detail.
[0017] The reference numbers have been used to point out elements in the embodiments described and illustrated herein, in order to facilitate the understanding of the invention. They are meant to be merely illustrative, and not limiting. Also, the foregoing embodiments of the invention have been described and illustrated in conjunction with systems and methods thereof, which are meant to be merely illustrative, and not limiting.
[0018] FIG. 1 depicts a cooking vessel heating apparatus according to one embodiment, at its folded state.
[0019] The term “cooking vessel” refers also to a pot.
[0020] A cooking vessel heating apparatus 10 includes a top heatable plate 12A and a bottom heatable plate 12B.
[0021] Normally, the heating elements of top heatable plate 12A are turned on, for placing a cooking vessel 26A thereon for heating it.
[0022] At the folded state, which is where the plates are near one another and the distance is minimal, an arm 50A presses a micro-switch 42 which turns off the heating elements of bottom heatable plate 12B.
[0023] FIG. 2 depicts the cooking vessel heating apparatus of FIG. 1 upon unfolding it and disposing cooking vessels.
[0024] At the non-folded state, arm 50A ceases pressing micro-switch 42 which turns on the heating elements of bottom heatable plate 12B as well, for placing a cooking vessel 26B thereon.
[0025] A distance setting mechanism 52 including arms 50A and 50B pivotally (56) connected to one another, may adjustably set the height of top plate 12A in relation to bottom plate 12B, for inserting cooking vessel 26B therebetween.
[0026] Distance setting mechanism 52 may include a horizontal teethed rail 20 for moving (40) a pin 22 disposed at the end of arm 50A, for setting its position, for setting the distance 70 between the plates, while maintaining parallelism therebetween, for maintaining both to be horizontal, while not allowing horizontal disposition therebetween.
[0027] Distance setting mechanism 52 rather than the described above may constitute a telescopic mechanism or a rotation to vertical converter, or other mechanism for vertically moving and then locking plate 12A in relation to plate 12B.
[0028] FIG. 3 depicts the cooking vessel heating apparatus of FIG. 1 upon increasing the distance between the plates.
[0029] After disposing cooking vessel 26B on bottom plate 12B, arms 50A and 50B may decrease the height of top plate 12A, for sealably covering cooking vessel 26B, and for further heating cooking vessel 26B disposed thereunder.
[0030] The bottom of top plate 12A may include a sealing sheet 32 for sealably covering cooking vessel 26B.
[0031] FIG. 4 depicts the electrical circuit of the port heating apparatus of FIG. 1.
[0032] A first electrical heating element 18A1 of top plate 12A is turned on by plugging plug 36 without any switch.
[0033] A second electrical heating element 18A2 of top plate 12A is turned on by plugging plug 36 only if a manual switch 44 is closed.
[0034] Thus, and referring again to FIG. 2, manual switch 34 may set the intensity of the heating of top plate 12A, whether it should heat thereabove or also thereunder.
[0035] Micro-switch 42 (operated by arm 50A) turns a heating element 18B of bottom plate 12B.
[0036] Thus, in one aspect, the invention is directed to a cooking vessel heating apparatus (10), including:
[0037] a top plate (12A) including a first electrical heating element (18A1) for heating the top plate (12A);
[0038] a bottom plate (12B) including a second electrical heating element (18B) for heating the bottom plate (12A); and
[0039] a distance setting mechanism (52), for setting a distance (70) between the top (12A) and bottom (12B) plates, while maintaining parallelism and horizontal position therebetween.
[0040] The setting of the distance (70) between the top (12A) and bottom (12B) plates, may be for covering a cooking vessel (26B) disposed between the top (12A) and bottom (12B) plates, the covering by the top plate (12A).
[0041] The setting of the distance (70) between the top (12A) and bottom (12B) plates, may be for heating a cooking vessel (26B) disposed between the top (12A) and bottom (12B) plates, the heating being by the top heatable plate (12A) attaching the cooking vessel (26B).
[0042] The cooking vessel heating apparatus (10) may further include:
[0043] a switch (42), for turning off the second electrical heating element (18B) of the bottom plate (12B), while the distance (70) between the plates is too small for disposing a cooking vessel (26B) therebetween.
[0044] The distance setting mechanism (52) may include two arms (50A,50B) being pivotally (56) connected therebetween:
[0045] In the figures and description herein, the following reference numbers (Reference Signs List) have been mentioned:
[0046] number 10 denotes the cooking vessel heating apparatus according to one embodiment of the invention;
