Abstract
Description
[0001] PRACTICAL AND FRICTIONLESS LEVELING TOOL
[0002] Field of the Invention
[0003] The present invention relates to a leveling tool which is used for leveling, smoothing and covering the front surfaces of natural and artificial coating materials used in the floor and wall coverings of buildings during their application, coating and laying with adhesive mortar on a substrate and which does not require much force and which does not create plastic waste before, during and after use, and which does not create additional friction on the material to which it applies pressure when used.
[0004] Prior Art
[0005] Today, natural and artificial surface covering materials (ceramic tile, marble, andesite, granite, granite ceramic, etc.) are used to cover wall and floor surfaces. Covering materials are placed on a surface piece by piece (tile, rectangle, polygon piece, etc.) and a reasonable distance between each covering piece is left between the joint space. The joint space left between each piece of said coating materials must be equal at every point throughout the coating and the upper surfaces of each coating piece must be on the same plane and at the same level. Cement-based adhesive mortars are generally used for applying coating materials on wall and floor surfaces. During the drying and hardening of this adhesive mortar, volumetric shrinkage and reduction occur. Forces resulting from volumetric shrinkage move the coating material from its initial position. Therefore, the coating materials may deviate from their plane, and a flooring or covering devoid of aesthetics may be formed, with a difference in level (height) between each part. In terms of aesthetics and technical aspects, when the coating materials are laid on the floor and wall surfaces, the visible front surfaces must be on the same plane, level and grading to eliminate tolerance differences. In the state of the art, in order to eliminate the level differences in the coating materials, there are apparatus (tools and equipment) that are used to eliminate the level differences in the coating material by passing to the lower part of the coating material from one side and applying pressure to the coating material from the upper part. In these state of the art devices, the part pressing the coating is turned by the user and the part holding the hook does not move. The surface of the apparatus that presses on the coating rotates by contacting the coating with a rotating movement and thus tries to equalize the coatings by applying pressure on the coatings. In this case, as the surface of the apparatus pressing on the coating turns and applies pressure to the coating, friction occurs between the coating and the apparatus, which can damage the coating material and makes it very difficult for the user to turn the apparatus. Another problem of the state of the art is that if the user tightens the apparatus by rotating it, it may be necessary to apply a lot of force, and this may create ergonomic problems for the user.
[0006] As seen in the applications numbered CN210659162, CN206829569 and CN207092495, in order to prevent rotation of the screw rod structure holding the hook structure, these screw rod structures are kept fixed and the rotation movement of the parts pressing on the upper surface of the coating material is performed. The technical problem in these applications is that the parts pressing on the upper surface of the coating material may damage the coating material as a result of rotational movement with friction to the coating material and excessive power is consumed due to the friction.
[0007] In the applications numbered CN209907881 and CN210482938, the rotational movement of the parts pressing on the upper surface of the coating material is carried out by friction with the coating material, but unlike this application, an additional rotation apparatus is used for easy rotation of the parts pressing on the upper surface of the coating material. However, as seen in these applications, there is a system of rotational movement of the parts pressing on the upper surface of the coating material by friction against the coating material. The technical problem in these applications is that the parts pressing on the upper surface of the coating material may damage the coating material as a result of rotational movement with friction to the coating material and excessive power is consumed due to the friction.
[0008] Brief Description of the Invention
[0009] The object of the present invention is to provide a practical and frictionless leveling device for adjusting, correcting and leveling the front surface levels of the coating materials used on the floors and walls of buildings without creating rotational friction on the coating material.
[0010] Another object of the present invention is to realise a long-lasting, practical and frictionless leveling tool, the moving parts of which constitute the force mechanism and the working mechanism being partially isolated from the external environment and not being affected by adverse conditions such as dust, dirt and mortar arising from external conditions.
[0011] Another object of the present invention is to realise a practical and frictionless leveling device which converts rotational motion, rotational force, moment force into bidirectional (up and down) linear motion on the vertical axis.
[0012] Another object of the present invention is to provide a practical and frictionless leveling tool which does not generate plastic waste before, during and after use, can be used repeatedly and is economical.
[0013] Another object of the present invention is to provide a practical and frictionless leveling tool which can be practically assembled and disassembled and which is easy to use with an ergonomic structure. Another object of the present invention is to provide a practical and frictionless leveling tool for leveling and smoothing the upper surfaces of coating materials by tolerating and compensating for thickness differences (tolerances) between each part of the coating materials.
[0014] It is a further object of the present invention to provide a practical and frictionless leveling tool which minimises frictional forces during use, thereby enabling the user to expend less energy.
[0015] Another object of the present invention is to realise a practical and frictionless leveling tool which does not damage, scratch or harm the front surfaces of the coating materials by not generating forces such as friction, impact or twisting on the front surfaces of the coating materials.

[0125] Leveling tool (1) used to adjust, correct and equalize the surface levels of the coating materials (K) used on the floor and walls; it comprises at least one gripping apparatus (5) comprising
[0126] • at least one transfer apparatus (2) comprising a transfer body (21) having a volume in its interior, a pressure surface (22) disposed on the transfer body (21) for pressing the coating material (K), and a first upper surface (25) forming an opposite surface of the pressing surface (22) and having a first groove hole (251) in the form of an opening,
[0127] • a holding apparatus (3) comprising a holder piece (31) having a shape for linear non-rotationally travelling within the internal volume of the transfer body (21), and at least one holder post (32) extending through the holder piece (31) into the first groove hole (251) and having a first screw thread (321) in the form of a screw step,
[0128] • A hook structure (4) adapted to hold the coating material (K) from the lower part of the coating material (K), which is connected to the holding apparatus (3),
[0129] • A gripping body (51) which is used by connecting onto the holder post (32) through the first upper surface (25) of the transfer apparatus (2),
[0130] - which is adapted to allow the holding apparatus (3) to move linearly within the transfer apparatus (2) with the rotational force applied thereon, a second groove hole (53) with a second screw thread (531) structure containing a screw pitch for connecting the holder post (32) into the gripping body (51) and in which the gripping body (51) outer surface has a shape that can be rotated with a clamping means. The inventive leveling tool (1) comprises a transfer apparatus (2) for applying pressure on the coating material (K), a holding apparatus (3) movable within the transfer apparatus (2) for moving the hook structure (4) and a gripping apparatus (5) for moving the holding apparatus (3). Said transfer apparatus (2) comprises a pressure surface (22) positioned on the coating material (K) and a first groove hole (251) on the opposite surface not pressing on the coating material (K), and can press on the coating material (K) without rotation. Said holding apparatus (3) comprises a holder piece (31) on the inner side of the transfer apparatus (2), and a holder post (32) extending through the holder piece (31) and passing through the first groove hole (251). There is a first screw thread (321) in the form of a screw pitch on the holder post (32). The internal volume of the transfer apparatus (2) of said holding post (32) and the holder piece (31) have a shape in which the holder piece (31) does not rotate around its own axis. There is a hook structure (4) connected to said holding apparatus (3) and used to hold on to the coating material (K) from the lower surface of the coating. The hook structure (4) moves up and down together with the holding apparatus (3). Said gripping apparatus (5) comprises a second groove hole (53) whose inner part comprises a second screw thread (531) and a second outer surface (52) so that it can be turned from the outside. Said second outer surface (52) is graspable by a clamping means, so that the leveling tool (1) can be used for quick insertion and removal of the same and so that the user can insert and remove it with less force. In this way, the gripping apparatus (5) can be turned by grasping its outer surface with a clamping means, and this provides an ergonomic advantage for the user. In addition, the outer surface, which has a structure that can be grasped by the clamping means, enables the user to assemble and disassemble the leveling tool (1) more quickly.
[0131] One of the major differences in the leveling tool (1) compared to the state of the art is that the friction takes place between the first upper surface (25) of the transfer apparatus (2) and the gripping apparatus (5), but not on the coating material (K). Another difference of the leveling tool (1) according to the state of the art is that the second outer surface (52) of the gripping apparatus (5) has an outer shape which can be turned with a clamping means.
[0132] In the embodiment of the leveling tool (1) of the present invention, the hook structure (4), which is connected to the holding apparatus (3), is firstly attached at one end to the lower surface of the coating materials (K) and the transfer apparatus (2) is placed so that the pressure surface (22) is placed on the upper surface of the coating. While in this position, the gripping apparatus (5) is rotated and with the rotation of the gripping apparatus (5), the gripping apparatus (5) moves linearly without rotating so that the gripping apparatus (3) moves away from the coating material (K) by matching the screw steps on the second groove hole (53) of the gripping apparatus (3) with the holder post (32). With this movement of the holding apparatus (3), the coating material (K) remains between the hook structure (4) at the lower part and the transfer apparatus (2) at the upper part of the pressure surface (22) and the surface levels of the coating materials (K) on the pressure surface (22) are adjusted, corrected and / or equalised. The important point here is that by rotating the gripping apparatus (5), the holding apparatus (3) advances linearly within the internal volume of the transfer apparatus (2) without rotation. In order for this movement to occur, the holding part (31) located in the holding apparatus (3) and the inner part of the transfer apparatus (2) are in contact with at least one wall, and in this way, the holding part (31) does not rotate inside the transfer apparatus (2). Since no rotational movement occurs, the holding apparatus (3) moves towards and away from the coating material (K) throughout the internal volume of the transfer apparatus (2).
[0133] In one embodiment of the invention, there is a gripping apparatus (5) comprising an outer surface in the form of a non-circular wall structure in order to rotate the outer surface of the gripping apparatus (5) with a clamping means. A completely circular structure cannot be rotated because it cannot be held by a clamping means (7). Therefore, the outer wall structure of the gripping apparatus (5) is not completely circular. In one embodiment of the invention, the outer surface of the gripping apparatus (5) is in the shape of a polygon so that it can be rotated with a clamping means. In this embodiment, the gripping apparatus (5) comprises multiple gripping walls that are angled to each other so that the outer surface can be rotated with a clamping means.
[0134] In one embodiment of the invention, the outer surface of the gripping apparatus (5) is in the shape of a square so that it can be rotated with a clamping means. In this embodiment, the gripping apparatus (5) comprises 4 walls that are angled to each other so that the outer surface can be rotated with a clamping means.
[0135] In one embodiment of the invention, the gripping apparatus (5) comprises a second groove hole (53) having a hole-shaped inner portion and comprising a second screw thread (531) structure, a grip base (54) and a second outer surface (52) portion for applying pressure on the transfer apparatus (2), said second outer surface (52) comprising a sidewall (55) extending in the opposite direction of the grip base (54) from the end point of the second screw thread (531) structure. Said sidewall (55) extends from the part where the second screw thread (531) structure ends and can protect the outward extending part of the holder post (32) from external factors.
[0136] In one embodiment of the invention, at least one separator (56) is provided on the outer surface of the gripping apparatus (5), which is in the form of a protrusion and is used to prevent contact between the gripping key and the transfer apparatus (2) when the transfer apparatus (2) is rotated with a clamping means. Said separator (56) can be located on the second outer surface (52) or on the sidewall (55) of the gripping apparatus (5). Said separator (56) is used to prevent friction between the part clamping means and the transfer apparatus (2), and prevents deformation due to friction on the transfer apparatus (2) and prevents power loss due to friction. In another embodiment of the invention, the separator (56) is positioned on the second outer surface (52), closer to the grip base (54). In this way, the clamping means is placed further on the gripping apparatus (5). In another embodiment of the invention, the separator (56) is positioned on the second outer surface (52) in a way that is uninterrupted all around.
[0137] In one embodiment of the invention, the transfer apparatus (2) comprises a transfer body (21) which is located in the portion between the pressure surface
[0138] (22) and the first upper surface (25), a first inner wall (24) forming the side wall / surface portion and forming the inner facing surface, and a first outer wall
[0139] (23) forming the outer facing surface.
[0140] In one embodiment of the invention, the holder piece (31) in the holding apparatus (3) has a shape which is not completely circular in order to move linearly without rotation within the inner volume of the transfer body (21), and moves within the inner volume of the transfer body (21) which is not completely circular in shape. Here, there is a first inner wall (24) section to form the internal volume of the transfer body (21), which is not completely circular.
[0141] In another embodiment of the invention, the holder piece (31) is in the shape of a polygon and can move linearly without rotating within the internal volume of the polygonal transfer body (21).
[0142] In one embodiment of the invention, the holder piece (31) comprises the following;
[0143] - A holder upper surface (311) forming the side facing the first upper surface (25),
[0144] - A holder lower surface (313) that forms the opposite surface relative to the holder upper surface (311) and
[0145] - Holder side edge (312), which is the part where the holder upper surface (311) and the holder lower surface (313) edge parts meet. Said holder side edge (312) has a comerless structure in order to create minimum friction with the internal volume of the transfer body (21). Said holder side edge (312) has a radius structure with circular shaped elbow parts in order to create minimum friction with the internal volume of the transfer body (21). One of the major differences in said leveling tool (1) compared to the state of the art is that it comprises a holder piece (31) which resists the rotational force and prevents the holding apparatus (3) from rotating in the inner volume of the transfer body (21), and that the elbow portions of the holder side edge (312) have a radius structure having a circular shape, thereby creating a minimum level of friction with the first inner wall (24).
[0146] In one embodiment of the invention, the hook structure (4) comprises the following;
[0147] - A hook part (41) adapted to hold the coating material (K) from the lower part of the coating material (K),
[0148] - A hook post (42) extends from the hook part (41) through the joint gap (D) between the coating materials (K) and towards the holding apparatus (3),
[0149] - A connection head (43) located at the end of the hook post (42) and connected to the hook post (42) for connection to the holding part (3).
[0150] In one embodiment of the invention, the connection head (43) comprises a lower pressure part (431), which is located at the end part of the hook post (42) and is connected to the hook post (42) for connection to the holding part, and a side pressure part (432) extending from the lower pressure part (431) and an upper pressure part (433) positioned parallel or close to parallel to the lower pressure part (431) on the side pressure part (432).
[0151] In one embodiment of the invention, the connection head (43); is in the form of a letter U turned sideways. In one embodiment of the invention, the connection head (43); is in the form of a letter H turned sideways.
[0152] In one embodiment of the invention, the connection head (43); has a form formed by the combination of multiple triangular forms.
[0153] In one embodiment of the invention, the connection head (43); is in the form of a polygon.
[0154] These connection head (43) forms ensure that the hook structure (4) can be held more tightly within the holding part.
[0155] In one embodiment of the invention, the hook structure (41) located in the hook structure (4) contains a first hook (411) extending from the hook post (42) to grasp the coating material (K) from its lower surface. In another embodiment of the invention, the hook structure (41) comprises a first hook (411) and a second hook (412) located in opposite directions at the end of the hook (42).
[0156] In one embodiment of the invention, there is at least one slot (322) located on the holding apparatus (3) and used to connect it to the hook structure (4). Said slot (322) is located in the inner part of the holding apparatus (3) or from its outer surface to its inner surface and enables it to be inserted into or attached to the hook structure (4). In this way, the hook structure (4) can also move with the movement of the holding apparatus (3).
[0157] In an embodiment of the invention, the slot (322) located in the holding apparatus
[0158] (3) can be inserted into the hook post (42), lower pressure piece (431), side pressure piece (432) and upper pressure piece (433) located in the hook structure
[0159] (4) or in a structure where it can be settled. In one embodiment of the invention, the slot (322) is on the outer surface of the holder post (32); It contains a lower support (3222) in the form of a recess where the lower pressure part (431) will be placed, and an upper support (3221) in the form of a recess where the upper pressure part (433) will be placed. In this way, the slot (322) creates a recessed form in the shape of a side letter U in which the side pressure part (432), the lower pressure part (431) and the upper pressure part (433) can be placed. Since the slot (322) is on the outer surface of the holding post (32), the lower and upper pressure parts located in the hook structure (4) can be placed into the side U-shaped recess from the outside and removed in the same way.

[0186] In one embodiment of the invention, there is provided at least one connection extension (76) for rotating the clamping means (7) with a drill, extending over the clamping body (71) and having a shape such that the drill rotation bit can pass thereon without rotating. The drill rotation head passes through the aforementioned connection extension and the rotational movement of the connection extension (76) and the clamping means (7) with the connection extension will be realised with the operation of the drill. In this way, the clamping means can be attached to an electric drill and can be used more quickly and more practically in the clamping and opening process. In a further embodiment of the invention, the outer surface of the connection extension (76) has the shape of a polygon and is thus compatible with the drill rotation head. [0187] The operation of the practical and frictionless leveling tool and the way it is mounted on the coating are described in detail in the following text.
[0188] As shown in Figure 33, the leveling tool (1) is grasped by hand from the first outer wall (23) of the transfer body (21) in the transfer apparatus (2) so that the hook portion (41) is parallel to the joint cavity (D). Again in the direction of the vertical arrow shown in Figure 33, the leveling tool (1) is brought towards the joint gap (D) of the two coating materials (K) and the hook part (41) of the hook structure (4) is inserted inwards between the two coating materials (K) until it contacts the base (A) as shown in Figure 34. In the direction indicated by the rotation arrow in Figure 34 or vice versa, the leveling tool (1) is rotated and turned over the coating material (K) in the range of 10 to 90 degrees with respect to the joint gap (D). In this way, the hook portion (41) is orientated towards and enters the lower part of both coating materials (K), as can be seen in Figure 35 in the translated, rotated state. The transfer apparatus (2), which is held by hand from the first outer wall (23), is pressed towards the coating materials (K) in the direction of the vertical arrow in Figure 36, so that the pressure surface (22) comes into contact with the surface of the coating materials (K). As a result of this process, the holding apparatus (3) moves upwards towards the first upper surface (25) due to the reaction force coming from the hook part (41) which is in contact with the base (A), and compresses the flexible element (6) between the upper surface (311) of the holder and the first upper surface (25). Simultaneously, the gripping apparatus (5), which is connected to the holder post (32) via the first thread (321), breaks contact with the first upper surface (25) of the transfer device (2) and moves upwards and outwards. While holding the leveling tool (1) in this position with one hand, with the other hand, the clamping means (7) is grasped by the holding part (73) on the clamping body (71) as shown in Figure 37 and directed towards the gripping apparatus (5) in the direction of the vertical arrow shown in Figure 37. As shown in Figure 38, the clamping means (7), which is adapted to each other, is inserted into the gripping apparatus (5) through the key groove. The edge where the inlet of the key groove (72) and the groove inner surface (721) meet touches the separator (56) in the gripping apparatus (5) and the clamping means (7) is positioned in the gripping apparatus (5) and stops. In this way, the clamping means (7) does not touch the transfer device (2) in any way, so that no friction occurs between them. As shown in Figure 39, the clamping means (7), which is engaged, clamped and connected to the gripping apparatus (5), rotates the gripping apparatus (5) in the same direction on the first thread (321) of the holder post (32) by turning it in the clamping direction. This rotational movement moves the holding apparatus (3) and the hook structure (4) connected to the holding apparatus (3) upwards in a linear direction towards the first upper surface (25) in the inner volume of the transfer body (21). At this time, the holder side edge (312) of the holder piece (31) contacts the first inner wall (24) and generates a force against the rotational force. Due to this contact and counter-force, the holding apparatus (3) cannot rotate in the inner volume of the transfer body (21). The holder side edge (312), which tries to prevent the gripping apparatus (3) from rotating in the internal volume of the transfer body (21), is under the influence of the gripping apparatus (5) pulling upwards towards the first upper surface (25). Therefore, the holder side edge (312), which is in contact with the first inner wall (24) during clamping, has a cornerless structure with a minimum contact surface with the first inner wall (24) in order to minimize the friction force and for the user to spend less energy.
[0189] As the clamping means (7) turns the gripping apparatus (5) in the clamping direction, the upwardly moving gripping apparatus (3) and the hook part (41) of the hook structure (4) connected thereto contact the lower surface of both coating materials (K) and compress the coating material (K) between the hook part (41) and the pressure surface (22). Thus, as shown in the detail in Figure 41, the front surfaces of the two coating materials (K), which are positioned side by side and have a joint gap (D) between them, come to the same level, the same plane. Finally, as shown in Figure 40, the clamping means (7) is pulled upwards in the direction of the vertical arrow, perpendicular to the coating, and its contact with the gripping apparatus (5) is broken and removed.
[0190] Installation of the leveling tool (1) is described in the following text.
[0191] The leveling tool (1) consists of a plurality of compatible parts. Figure 15 shows the exploded view of the leveling tool (1). Accordingly, the assembly of the leveling device (1) comprises the following stages;
[0192] The connection head (43) in the hook structure (4) is placed, attached and combined into the slot (322) in the holding apparatus (3). In this connection, the upper pressure part (433) contacts the upper support (3221), and the lower pressure part (431) contacts the lower support (3222). Then, the flexible element (6) (spring) is attached to the holder post (32) of the holding apparatus (3) combined with the hook structure (4). As an example is seen in Figure 27, the flexible element (6) contacts the holder upper surface (311) (preferably). At this point, the diameter of the flexible element (6) is larger than the diameter of the holder post (32). The structure consisting of the holding apparatus (3), the hook structure (4) and the flexible element (6) is placed in the inner volume of the transfer body (21) of the transfer apparatus (2). This placement is done by passing the holder post (32) through the first groove hole (251) located on the first upper surface (25) of the transfer apparatus (2). Finally, the gripping apparatus is attached to the holder post (32) extending upwards from the first groove hole (251) by rotating it in the clamping direction.
