Description

[0001] EGG CARRYING PACKAGE AND PRODUCTION METHOD

[0002] TECHNICAL FIELD

[0003] The invention is related to a packaging structure consisting of a lid and a single piece developed to ensure that eggs are carried without breaking, and to a method that enables the said package to be produced.

[0004] PRIOR ART

[0005] Molded fiber packages have been used for many years to carry eggs due to their oval shape and the fact that they crack easily. In traditional molded fiber packages, called egg trays, the eggs are positioned in the openings on the molded fiber package and a second molded fiber package is positioned above the eggs to connect the two molded fiber packages to each other. The connection is usually carried out with materials such as rope etc. In the said applications, the eggs are positioned between two molded fiber packages like a sandwich. However, since the eggs are not grabbed well between the molded fiber packages, they may break or crack due to movement. In addition, packaging of these applications is difficult for the manufacturer and does not have an aesthetic appearance for the end user.

[0006] As an alternative to egg trays, egg cartoons have been developed to enable the packaging of fewer of eggs, such as 6-10-15. The said molded fiber packages have a lid structure and the eggs are supported from the top by means of the said lid. However, there may be problems when locking the lid and failure to properly support the eggs from the top and sides may lead to problems such as breakage. Especially in cases of stacking, the lid section stretches and the products may break.

[0007] In addition, the low moisture resistance of egg molded fiber packages made of cellulosic raw materials used in the state of art causes their hardness to decrease depending on the transportation and storage environment and problems such as breakage may be encountered due to the stretching of the package. In summary, the problems described disadvantaged for both the end user and the egg producer.

[0008] In the document with the publication numbered ES1263859Y, an egg carrying molded fiber package is mentioned. The product used in the said application is in a lidded form and does not provide a solution to the stretching problems mentioned above.

[0009] As a result, all the problems mentioned above have made it necessary to make an innovation in the relevant field.

[0010] OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

[0011] The present invention is provided with the aim of eliminating the above-mentioned problems and making a technical innovation in the relevant field.

[0012] The main object of the invention is to present an egg carrying package structure made of recycled or raw cellulosic material with high strength, suitable for use during the storage and sale of eggs.

[0063] The subject of the invention relates to a package (P) and production method made of paper material, preferably recycled paper, which is environmentally friendly and has been developed to ensure that eggs are carried without breaking.

[0064] The invention is a package (P) production method comprising a lid (20) and a body (10) integral with each other and made of cellulosic material to ensure that the eggs are packaged in a way that prevents them from breaking, and a slot (13) structure to ensure that the eggs are positioned on the said body (10); characterized by following process steps: a. Preparing cellulosic raw materials, b. Mixing the prepared products with water in a mixer to make pulp, c. Adding chemical components to improve the physical properties of the product to be obtained, i. Wet strength enhancing agent to increase resistance to moisture ii. Dry strength enhancing agent d. Performing the mixing process homogenously, e. Carrying out the shaping and water removal process, f. Carrying out hot shaping process with curing and drying process.

[0065] The invention is a package (P) comprising a lid (20) and a body (10) integral with each other and made of cellulosic material to ensure that the eggs are packaged in a way that prevents them from breaking, and a slot (13) structure to ensure that the eggs are positioned on the said body (10); characterized by comprising an intermediate support (12) positioned between the aforementioned multiple adjacent slots (13), the height of which is greater than the side height of the body (10), an edge support recess (22) formed in the direction of the inner part of the package (P) on the two opposite side edges of the lid (20) which can contact the upper edge of the said intermediate support (12) when closed, a central support element (23) positioned parallel to the folding axis of the lid (20), between the two side support recesses (22) mentioned. Waste paper collected from various sources is turned into pulp using process equipment that is pre-filled with water and has a holizonel blade mixer inside. Inorganic pollutants such as glass, metal, styrofoam and plastic coming from waste papers are removed from the pulp obtained by physical and / or chemical methods such as sieving and sand retention. The cleaned pulp is transferred to the mixing tank and mixed with the blade in the said mixing tank to keep it suspended.

[0066] At least one of the dry strength enhancing ingredients, which are starch, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), latex and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) is added to the mixture.

[0067] At least one of the wet strength chemicals, which are epichlorohydrin-based (GPAM), polyacrylamides - epichlorohydrin (PAE), polyacryloamides (PAM), amphoteric polyacryloamides (PAM) is added to the mixture.

[0068] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the components can be added regardless of their order.

[0069] In the alternative embodiment of the invention, chemicals can be added to the same tank / reservoir or can be dosed independently of each other at different stages of the process.

[0070] In alternative embodiments of the invention, compositions such as nano and micro cellulose structures, chitosan, etc. bio polymers can also be added.

[0071] The chemical components added during the mixing process must be distributed homogeneously in order to adhere to the pulp fibers. In a preferred embodiment, waterbased adhesive resin can be added to the mixture to increase the effectiveness of the chemical components. Adding the mentioned resin together with or before the chemical components increases the effectiveness.

[0072] The resulting pulp is transferred to the machine associated with the mold. The molding process takes place under vacuum and the packaging (P) is provided with the desired form. The machine comprises two molds, lower and upper mold, and vacuum is preferably applied on the lower mold. While shaping takes place in this mold, the water contained in the pulp is removed and an airtight joint is ensured by overlapping each other in the upper mold. In the examination and measurements, it was determined that the semi-product coming out of the mold contained water. After the vacuum shaping process, the products are taken into ovens, preferably with the help of perforated plates, and subjected to the drying / curing process. In this process, thermal shaping is carried out.

[0073] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the chemical components added to the pulp include a wet strength enhancing agent and a dry strength enhancing agent.

[0075] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, it is possible to produce colored package (P) by adding dyes to the pulp.

[0076] The top perspective drawing of the open position of the lid (20) of the invention is given in Figure 1 . The package (P) consists of the body (10) and the lid (20) form, and the said lid (20) and the body (10) are integral with each other through the lid connection edge (30). The said lid (20) can be positioned on the body (10) by folding on the axis of the lid connection edge (30) extending along the body (10).

[0077] It comprises at least one, preferably at least four, slots (13) on the body (10). There is at least one intermediate support (12) in the section where the said slots are adjacent to each other. The eggs are positioned in the said slots (13). The height of the said intermediate support (12) is greater than the height of the side form of the body (10). In the preferred embodiment, when the lid (20) is closed, the upper surface of the intermediate support (12) supports the lid (20) from the inner section. In this way, the force on the cover (20) is directly transmitted to the intermediate support (12) in cases of stacking on top of each other.

[0078] There is at least one edge support recess (22) on the lid (20) of the invention, especially in the edge sections. The said edge support recess (22) is preferably a form created from the outer surface of the lid (20) inwards and is preferably located on at least two edges. There is at least one central support element (23) extending along the two side support recesses (22), preferably on the axis of the lid (20). The said central support element (23) preferably represents an inwardly formed recess or an outwardly formed protrusion (or vice versa) on the lid (20). The strength of the lid (20) structure is improved by means of the said side support recess (22) and the central support element (23).

[0079] There is at least one, preferably two, lock openings (21 ) on the lid (20) of the invention. There is at least one locking protrusion (21 1 ) on the said lock opening (21 ). Preferably, the locking protrusion (21 1 ) extends along the surface forming the lid (20) and may be shaped by pressing after production.

[0080] There is at least one lock (1 1 ) on the body (10) of the invention. The said lock (1 1 ) is a protrusion extending from the body (10) to the side section and there is a gap at the bottom. At the end part of the lock (1 1 ), there is a lock protrusion (11 1 ). The lock (11 ) passes through the lock opening (21 ) of the invention and the locking protrusion (21 1 ) is placed in the gap remaining at the bottom part of the lock protrusion (11 1 ). In this way, locking is performed. The front surface of the lid (20) can be opened by stretching it over the edge between the locking openings (21 ) via the lock (1 1 ).

[0081] The bottom view of the invention is given in Figure 2. There is a bottom recess (132) in the lower part of the slots (13) and a protrusion is formed in the base part. In this way, the strength in the bottom part of the slots (13) is improved. Similarly, there is a slot edge recess (131 ) on at least one side near the bottom part of the slots (13). The said slot edge recess (131 ) increases the strength in the relevant area and provides better support for the egg placed in the slot (13).

[0082] Preferably, an intermediate support (12) is located between four adjacent slots (13), and there is an opening in the inner section of the intermediate support (12), and the intermediate support (12) has an intermediate support inner form (120). The said intermediate support inner form (120) ensures that the slot (13) is supported from its edge sections. In particular, the intermediate support edge form (121 ) is adjacent to the slots (13) and in these areas, the creation of a soft form with increased radial and surface area is ensured.

[0083] In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the edge of the lid (20) with the locking openings (21 ) extending downwards has a radial front edge (24). The said lid radial front edge (24) provides a force gain to enable the lid (20) to flex easily to release it from the lock (1 1 ). (It makes flexing easier.) The side view of an alternative embodiment of the invention is given in Figure 4. In this context, the lid (20) comprises a radial edge (201 ) in the edge section and this edge is in a curved form. The body radial edge (101 ), which is equivalent to a similar form, is located on the edge sections of the body (10). In this way, when the lid (20) is closed on the body (10), the body radial edge (101 ) and the lid radial edge (201 ) overlap each other and the contact surface increases. Accordingly, the strength of the lid (20) and the entire product is improved.

[0084] In the preferred embodiment of the invention, there is an edge support (31 ) on the edge parts of the package (P), preferably aligned with the center of each slot (13). The said edge support (31 ) can be found on the edge sections of the lid (20) and body (10) and consists of a protrusion in this section. The said structure ensures that the strength is increased in the relevant areas.

[0085] In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the package (P) is made of recycled cellulosic or raw cellulosic material. The upper part of the package (P) comprises a coating to improve hardness and increase strength.

[0086] The package (P) provided within the scope of the invention is made of a single piece of cellulosic material. Preferably, it is made of recycled cellulosic raw material.
