[0047] In order to better understand the present application, the display panel and the display device according to the embodiments of the present application are described in detail below with reference to Figures 1 to 25.
[0048] Referring to FIG. 1 , an embodiment of the present application provides a display panel 1 including a first display area A1 .
[0049] As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the display panel 1 provided in the present application includes a substrate 10, a light-emitting unit 11, and an isolation structure 12. There are multiple light-emitting units 11, each of which includes a first electrode 111, a light-emitting functional unit 112, and a second electrode 113 stacked in a direction away from the substrate 10. The second electrodes 113 of adjacent light-emitting units 11 are spaced apart. The multiple light-emitting units 11 include at least one first light-emitting unit 114 located in the first display area A1. The isolation structure 12 is formed on one side of the substrate 10 and includes a plurality of spaced-apart first isolation structures 120 located within the first display area A1. The first isolation structure 120 includes a first solid portion 121 and a first opening 122. The first solid portion 121 is disposed around the first opening 122. The first opening 122 exposes at least a portion of the first electrode 111 of the first light-emitting unit 114. The second electrode 113 of the first light-emitting unit 114 is electrically connected to the first isolation structure 120. At least some adjacent first isolation structures 120 are electrically connected via a light-transmitting connection portion 13.
[0050] The display panel 1 provided in this application includes a substrate 10, a light-emitting unit 11, and an isolation structure 12. The light-emitting unit 11 includes a first light-emitting unit 114 located in the first display area A1, and the isolation structure 12 includes a first isolation structure 120 located in the first display area A1. The first isolation structure 120 includes a first solid portion 121 and a first opening 122. The first solid portion 121 is disposed around the first opening, and the first opening 122 exposes at least a portion of the first electrode 111 of the first light-emitting unit 114. Adjacent first isolation structures 120 are spaced apart, and the second electrodes 113 of adjacent first light-emitting units 114 are spaced apart from each other. The second electrodes 113 of the first light-emitting units 114 are electrically connected to the first isolation structure 120. At least some adjacent first isolation structures 120 are electrically connected via the light-transmitting connection portion 13. This allows for electrical connection of at least some of the second electrodes 113 within the first display area A1, thereby reducing the number and length of power supply lines supplying the second electrodes 113 within the first display area A1 and simplifying wiring. On the other hand, adjacent first isolation structures 120 are spaced apart so that a spacing area is formed between adjacent first isolation structures 120, and a light-transmitting connecting portion 13 is provided in the spacing area. The light-transmitting connecting portion 13 has strong light-transmitting performance, thereby improving the light transmittance of the area between adjacent first isolation structures 120, thereby improving the light transmittance of the first display area A1, and providing a basis for integrating photosensitive devices or realizing transparent display under the first display area A1.
[0051] Specifically, the first isolation structure 120 may correspond to the first light emitting unit 114 on a one-to-one basis, which is not particularly limited in this application.
[0052] In a feasible embodiment, the material of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 may include transparent conductive materials such as indium tin oxide and / or indium zinc oxide, which is not particularly limited in this application.
[0053] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2 , the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 is a mesh structure continuously arranged in an entire layer, and includes a via hole 131 opposite to the first opening portion 122 .
[0054] In the above embodiment, the transparent connecting portion 13 is provided as a continuous layer, and is patterned to form a via 131 disposed opposite the first opening 122, thereby exposing the first light-emitting unit 114. The transparent connecting portion 13 is provided as a mesh design throughout the entire layer, thereby increasing its area, thereby reducing its resistance and thus lowering the power consumption of the display panel 1. Furthermore, because it covers the area between adjacent first isolation structures 120, the effect of the patterning of the transparent connecting portion 13 on the optical performance of the photosensitive device integrated below the first display area A1 is reduced, thereby reducing the probability of light diffraction when passing through the transparent connecting portion 13, thereby reducing the adverse effects of diffraction on the photosensitive device.
[0055] In addition, the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 is a continuously arranged mesh structure that can effectively shield the signal interference between the film layer on the side of the first isolation structure 120 away from the substrate 10 and the substrate 10. Specifically, the display panel 1 may also include a touch layer, which is located on the side of the isolation structure away from the substrate 10, and the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 is located between the substrate 10 and the touch layer. The touch layer includes touch electrodes, and the substrate 10 is provided with signal lines for driving the display of the first light-emitting unit, such as data signal lines. The touch electrodes and the signal lines in the substrate 10 may interfere with each other. By arranging the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 of the mesh structure between the touch layer and the substrate 10, the shielding effect of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 of the mesh structure can reduce the interference between the touch electrodes and the signal lines in the substrate 10, thereby improving the performance of the display panel 1.
[0056] In the above embodiment, the orthographic projection of the via hole 131 on the substrate 10 may be set to be larger than the orthographic projection of the first opening 122 on the substrate 10 , so as to avoid the first light emitting unit 114 .
[0057] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in Figure 4, the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 is strip-shaped, and the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 is arranged between two adjacent first isolation structures 120, one end of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 is electrically connected to one first isolation structure 120, and the other end is electrically connected to the other first isolation structure 120.
[0058] In the above embodiment, the strip-shaped transparent connecting portion 13 can further reduce the influence of the transparent connecting portion 13 on the light transmittance of the area between the first isolation structures 120 , thereby further improving the light transmittance of the first display area A1 .
[0059] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG4 , the orthographic projection of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 on the substrate 10 extends along a straight line, or, as shown in FIG5 , the orthographic projection of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 on the substrate 10 extends along a curved line.
[0060] In the above embodiment, the orthographic projection of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 on the substrate 10 extends in a straight line, thereby shortening the total length of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13, thereby further reducing the impact on the light transmittance of the area between the first isolation structures 120. Furthermore, extending the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 in a straight line can reduce the difficulty and cost of manufacturing the light-transmitting connecting portion 13.
[0061] In the above embodiment, the orthographic projection of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 on the substrate 10 extends along the curved direction, thereby reducing the probability that the shape of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 causes diffraction of light, thereby reducing the influence of the patterning of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 itself on the optical performance of the photosensitive device integrated below the first display area A1.
[0062] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in Figure 3, the first isolation structure 120 includes a first isolation portion 123, the first isolation portion 123 includes a first insulating layer 1231 and a second conductive layer 1232, the first insulating layer 1231 at least covers the edge of the first electrode 111 of the first light-emitting unit 114, the second conductive layer 1232 is located on the side of the first insulating layer 1231 away from the substrate 10, and the second electrode 113 and the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 of the first light-emitting unit 114 are electrically connected to the second conductive layer 1232, respectively.
[0063] In the above embodiment, the pixel definition layer 14 in the display panel 1 is omitted, and the isolation structure 12 is used to define the light-emitting unit 11. The isolation structure 12 includes a first isolation structure 120, which includes a first isolation portion 123. The first isolation portion 123 includes a first insulating layer 1231 and a first conductive layer 1232. The first conductive layer 1232 is located on the side of the first insulating layer 1231 facing away from the substrate 10. The first insulating layer 1231 is in direct contact with the substrate 10 and the side of the first electrode 111 of the first light-emitting unit 114 facing away from the substrate 10. The first insulating layer 1231 covers the edge of the first electrode 111 of the first light-emitting unit 114 to achieve mutual insulation between the first electrodes 111 of adjacent first light-emitting units 114 and protect the first electrodes 111 of the first light-emitting units 114. The first conductive layer 1232 and the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 are used to realize the mutual connection between the second electrodes 113 of different first light-emitting units 114. Specifically, the second electrode 113 of the first light-emitting unit 114 is in direct contact with the side wall of the first conductive layer 1232 to realize the electrical connection between the second electrode 113 of the first light-emitting unit 114 and the first isolation structure 120. Adjacent first isolation structures 120 are electrically connected through the light-transmitting connecting portion 13, thereby realizing the electrical connection between the second electrodes 113 of different first light-emitting units 114.
[0064] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in Figure 3, the first isolation structure 120 also includes a second isolation portion 124, which is located on the side of the first isolation portion 123 facing away from the substrate 10, and the orthographic projection of the first isolation portion 123 on the substrate 10 is located within the orthographic projection of the second isolation portion 124 on the substrate 10.
[0065] In the above embodiment, the first isolation structure 120 includes a first isolation portion 123 and a second isolation portion 124 stacked in a direction away from the substrate. The orthographic projection of the first isolation portion 123 on the substrate 10 is located within the orthographic projection of the second isolation portion 124 on the substrate 10. Therefore, when preparing first light-emitting units 114 of various colors, the various film layers of the first light-emitting units 114 of one color can be formed entirely on the surface. Then, etching is performed to form the first light-emitting units 114 of that color at designated first openings 122, exposing the first openings 122 for forming first light-emitting units 114 of other colors. The first light-emitting units 114 of different colors can be prepared in multiple stages. This preparation process eliminates the need for a mask, the pixel definition layer 14, and the support pillars located on the side of the pixel definition layer 14 facing away from the substrate 10 for supporting the mask, thereby reducing preparation costs. The first isolation structure 120 can be formed using a dark material to provide a light-shielding effect and prevent crosstalk between adjacent first light-emitting units 114.
[0066] In one feasible embodiment, the first isolation structure 120 is a ring structure disposed around at least one first light-emitting unit 114. This can define the first light-emitting unit 114, achieve spacing between adjacent first isolation structures 120, and improve light transmittance between adjacent first isolation structures 120.
[0067] In one feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG6 , the display panel 1 further includes a pixel definition layer 14, which is located between the first electrode 111 and the isolation structure 12. The pixel definition layer 14 includes a pixel defining portion 141 and a pixel opening 142. The pixel opening 142 corresponds to the first opening 122 and is interconnected, and is used to accommodate the light-emitting unit 11. The first isolation structure 120 includes a third isolation portion 125, which is made of a conductive material. The light-transmitting connecting portion 13 and the second electrode of the first light-emitting unit are respectively connected to the third isolation portion 125.
[0068] In the above embodiment, the display panel 1 includes a pixel definition layer 14 and an isolation structure 12 located on a side of the pixel definition layer 14 facing away from the substrate 10. The pixel definition layer 14 is used to define the light-emitting units 11. The first isolation structure 120 includes a third isolation portion 125 that is in direct contact with a surface of the pixel definition layer 14 facing away from the substrate 10. The third isolation portion 125 is made of a conductive material. The second electrodes 113 and the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 of the first light-emitting units 114 are respectively connected to the third isolation portion 125, thereby achieving electrical connection between the second electrodes 113 of different first light-emitting units 114.
[0069] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in Figure 6, the third isolation portion 125 includes a first layer 1251 and a second layer 1252, the second layer 1252 is located on the side of the first layer 1251 away from the substrate 10, the first layer 1251 includes a conductive material, and the transparent connecting portion 13 and the second electrode of the first light-emitting unit 114 are respectively connected to the first layer 1251.
[0070] In the above embodiment, the first layer 1251 can be made of metal, such as molybdenum, and the second layer 1252 can be made of metal, such as aluminum. The first layer 1251 can protect the second layer 1252 from oxidation caused by water and oxygen on the substrate 10.
[0071] In the above embodiment, the first isolation structure 120 may further include a fourth isolation portion 126 , and the orthographic projection of the third isolation portion 125 on the substrate 10 is located within the orthographic projection of the fourth isolation portion 126 on the substrate 10 .
[0072] In the above embodiment, the first isolation structure 120 includes a third isolation portion 125 and a fourth isolation portion 126. The orthographic projection of the third isolation portion 125 on the substrate 10 is located within the orthographic projection of the fourth isolation portion 126 on the substrate 10. Therefore, when preparing first light-emitting units 114 of various colors, the various film layers of the first light-emitting units 114 of one color can be formed on the entire surface. Then, etching is performed to form the first light-emitting units 114 of that color at the designated first openings 122, exposing the first openings 122 for forming first light-emitting units 114 of other colors. The first light-emitting units 114 of different colors are prepared in multiple stages. This preparation process does not require the use of a mask, nor does it require the preparation of the pixel definition layer 14 or the support pillars located on the side of the pixel definition layer 14 facing away from the substrate 10 for supporting the mask, thereby reducing preparation costs. The first isolation structure 120 can be formed using a dark material, which can provide a light-shielding effect and prevent crosstalk between adjacent first light-emitting units 114.
[0073] In one feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG6 , the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 and the first layer 1251 are arranged in a direction parallel to the plane of the substrate 10 and contact each other. The orthographic projection of the second layer 1252 on the substrate 10 covers a portion of the orthographic projection of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 on the substrate 10, or the orthographic projection of the second layer 1252 on the substrate 10 does not overlap with the orthographic projection of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 on the substrate 10.
[0074] In the above embodiment, the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 contacts the sidewalls of the first layer 1251, thereby achieving electrical connection between the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 and the first layer 1251. Furthermore, a portion of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 is located between the second layer 1252 and the pixel definition layer 14. That is, the orthographic projection of the second layer 1252 on the substrate 10 covers a portion of the orthographic projection of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 on the substrate 10. This protects the contact portion between the first layer 1251 and the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 via the second layer 1252, reducing the impact of subsequent processing on this contact portion. Furthermore, when the second layer 1252 is made of metal, the contact resistance between the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 and the first layer 1251 can be further reduced.
[0075] In one feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG7 , a portion of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 is located on the side of the first layer 1251 facing away from the substrate 10 and covers the edge of the first layer 1251 , and the orthographic projection of the second layer 1252 on the substrate 10 covers a portion of the orthographic projection of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 on the substrate 10 . This allows electrical connection between the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 and the first layer 1251 . The second layer 1252 can also protect the contact portion between the first layer 1251 and the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 . In another feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG8 , the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 contacts the side of the pixel definition layer 14 facing away from the substrate 10 , and the first layer 1251 covers the edge of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 .
[0076] In the above embodiment, the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 is formed on the side of the pixel definition layer 14 facing away from the substrate 10, and the first layer 1251 is formed on the side of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 facing away from the substrate 10. That is, the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 is formed first, and then the first layer 1251 is formed. The first layer 1251 covers the edge of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13, that is, the first layer 1251 contacts the sidewall of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 facing the first opening 122. At the same time, the first layer 1251 contacts the surface of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 facing away from the substrate 10. This can increase the contact area between the first layer 1251 and the light-transmitting connecting portion 13, thereby improving the connection stability between the two and reducing the contact resistance between the two.
[0077] In another feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG9 , the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 and the first layer 1251 are made of the same material, and the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 and the first layer 1251 are an integrated structure.
[0078] In the above embodiment, the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 and the first layer 1251 are manufactured in a single process, forming an integrated structure. This provides a more stable connection between the two, while also saving manufacturing processes and reducing manufacturing costs. In this case, the material of the first layer 1251 is the same as that of the light-transmitting connecting portion 13, both using a transparent conductive material.
[0079] In the above embodiment, as shown in Figure 10, the end of the first layer 1251 close to the first opening portion 122 has a first extension portion 1253 extending out from the second layer 1252, and the orthographic projection of the first extension portion 1253 on the substrate 10 does not overlap with the orthographic projection of the second layer 1252 on the substrate 10, and the orthographic projection of the first extension portion 1253 on the substrate 10 is located within the orthographic projection of the fourth isolation portion 126 on the substrate 10.
[0080] In the above embodiment, by providing the first extension portion 1253 on the first layer 1251, a preset distance is provided between one end of the second layer 1252 close to the first opening portion 122 and one end of the first layer 1251 close to the first opening portion 122. This can further increase the contact area between the second electrode 113 of the first light-emitting unit 114 and the first layer 1251, thereby improving the stability of the electrical connection between the second electrode 113 of the first light-emitting unit 114 and the first isolation structure 120, and at the same time, can reduce the contact resistance.
[0081] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG11 and FIG2 , the display panel 1 further includes a second display area A2 , that is, the display panel includes a first display area A1 and a second display area A2 , and the second display area A2 surrounds at least a portion of the first display area A1 .
[0082] The display panel 1 provided herein includes a first display area A1 and a second display area A2. The transmittance of the second display area A2 can be set to be lower than that of the first display area A1 to facilitate integration of a photosensitive device, such as a camera module, beneath the first display area A1. Alternatively, the transmittance of the first display area A1 and the transmittance of the second display area A2 can be the same to achieve a transparent display. This is not particularly limited in this application.
[0083] In the display panel provided in the present application, the light-emitting unit 11 also includes a second light-emitting unit 115 located in the second display area A2, the orthographic projection of the first light-emitting unit 114 on the substrate 10 is smaller than the orthographic projection of the second light-emitting unit 115 of the same color on the substrate 10, and the spacing between adjacent first light-emitting units 114 is greater than the spacing between adjacent second light-emitting units 115.
[0084] Specifically, the display panel 1 may include light-emitting units 11 of at least three colors. Specifically, the display panel 1 may include first light-emitting units 114 of at least three colors, specifically a red first light-emitting unit 1141, a green first light-emitting unit 1142, and a blue first light-emitting unit 1143. The display panel 1 may also include second light-emitting units 115 of at least three colors, specifically a red second light-emitting unit 1151, a green second light-emitting unit 1152, and a blue second light-emitting unit 1153.
[0085] Specifically, the arrangement of the first light-emitting units 114 in the first display area A1 may be the same as or different from the arrangement of the second light-emitting units 115 in the second display area A2, which is not particularly limited in this application.
[0086] Specifically, the orthographic projection of the first light-emitting unit 114 on the substrate 10 is smaller than the orthographic projection of the second light-emitting unit 115 of the same color on the substrate 10, thereby improving the transmittance within the first display area A1, so as to achieve better effects when integrating a photosensitive device under the first display area A1 or realizing transparent display.
[0087] Specifically, the spacing between adjacent first light-emitting units 114 is greater than the spacing between adjacent second light-emitting units 115. Alternatively, the spacing between any two adjacent first light-emitting units 114 can be greater than the spacing between any two adjacent second light-emitting units 115, or the spacing between any two adjacent first light-emitting units 114 of a first color can be greater than the spacing between any two adjacent second light-emitting units 115 of the first color. The first color can be red, green, or blue, and this application does not specifically limit this. This arrangement can reduce the ratio of the total area of all first light-emitting units 114 within the first display area A1 to the total area of the first display area A1, further improving the light transmittance of the first display area A1.
[0088] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in Figures 11 and 12, the isolation structure 12 also includes a second isolation structure 15 located in the second display area A2, and the second isolation structure 15 is located on the side of the first electrode 111 of the second light-emitting unit 115 away from the substrate 10. The second isolation structure 15 has a mesh structure, including a second solid portion 151 and a second opening portion 152. The second solid portion 151 is continuously arranged in an entire layer, and the second opening portion 152 is used to expose at least part of the first electrode 111 of the second light-emitting unit 115.
[0089] In the above embodiment, the second isolation structure 15 is fabricated in the same layer as the first isolation structure 120, that is, as a whole layer during the fabrication process. The first display area A1 and the second display area A2 are then patterned separately to form the first isolation structure 120 in the first display area A1 and the second isolation structure 15 in the second display area A2. The second isolation structure 15 serves the same function as the first isolation structure 120: both structures can eliminate the need for a mask during the fabrication of the light-emitting unit 11, thereby improving the fabrication process of the light-emitting unit 11 and reducing crosstalk between adjacent light-emitting units 11.
[0090] Specifically, the second isolation structure 15 and the first isolation structure 120 have the same number of film layers and the same material, which will not be described in detail in this application.
[0091] In the above embodiment, in the second display area A2, the second electrodes 113 of the second light-emitting units 115 are electrically connected to the second solid portion 151, so that the second electrodes 113 of the spaced-apart second light-emitting units 115 can be electrically connected through the second solid portion 151, thereby saving the number of power supply lines and simplifying wiring.
[0092] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG. 13 , the second isolation structure 15 further includes a light-transmitting hole 153 , and the light-transmitting hole 153 is located between adjacent second openings 152 .
[0093] The light-transmitting holes 153 may be provided on the second isolation structure 15 in a portion of the second display area A2, or may be provided on the second isolation structure 15 in the entire second display area A2. The density of the light-transmitting holes 153 in each area of the second display area A2 may be the same or different, and may be set as required.
[0094] In the above embodiment, by providing a light-transmitting hole 153 in the portion of the second isolation structure 15 adjacent to the second opening portion 152 , the transmittance of the second display area A2 can be improved, while maintaining the entire layer of the second solid portion 151 in the second isolation structure 15 continuously provided to achieve electrical connection between different second electrodes 113 .
[0095] In a feasible embodiment, the second display area A2 includes a first display sub-area A21 and a second display sub-area A22, the transmittance of the first display area A1 is greater than the transmittance of the first display sub-area A21, the transmittance of the first display sub-area A21 is greater than the transmittance of the second display sub-area A22, and the light-transmitting hole 152 is arranged on the second isolation structure 15 in the first display sub-area A21.
[0096] In the above embodiment, when at least one of a fingerprint identification module (FOD), a light sensor, and a ranging sensor is integrated beneath the display panel 1, a light-transmitting hole 153 is formed in the region between adjacent second light-emitting units 115 within the second isolation structure 15 to allow light to pass through, thereby enabling functions such as fingerprint identification, detecting ambient light intensity, and ranging. The first display sub-area A21 is the region for providing the light-transmitting hole 152, and the first display sub-area A21 is located between adjacent second light-emitting units 115.
[0097] In the above embodiment, the orthographic projection of the light-transmitting hole 153 on the substrate 10 can be any one of a quadrilateral, a circle, and an ellipse, which is not particularly limited in this application.
[0098] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in Figure 13, it also includes a first shielding portion 16, which is arranged on one side of the substrate 10. The orthographic projection of the first shielding portion 16 on the substrate 10 covers the orthographic projection of the light-transmitting hole 153 on the substrate 10. The first shielding portion 16 is a light-transmitting structure.
[0099] In the above embodiment, the first shielding portion 16 corresponds one-to-one with the light-transmitting hole 153, and the orthographic projection of the first shielding portion 16 on the substrate 10 covers the orthographic projection of the light-transmitting hole 153 on the substrate 10. Specifically, the first shielding portion 16 can be formed between the second isolation structure 15 and the substrate 10, and the first shielding portion 16 contacts the second isolation structure 15. The first shielding portion 16 can effectively shield signal interference between the film layer on the side of the second isolation structure facing away from the substrate 10 and the substrate 10. Specifically, the display panel 1 may include a touch layer, which is located on the side of the second isolation structure 15 facing away from the substrate 10. The touch layer includes touch electrodes. The substrate 10 is provided with signal traces for driving the light-emitting unit 11 to display. By providing the first shielding portion 16 at the light-transmitting hole 153, mutual interference between the touch electrodes and the signal traces in the substrate 10 at the light-transmitting hole 153 can be reduced, thereby improving the performance of the display panel 1. Specifically, the second isolation structure 15 includes a metal layer, which can shield the area outside the light-transmitting hole 153 to reduce the mutual interference between the touch signal and the display signal.
[0100] Specifically, the first shielding portion 16 is electrically connected to the isolation structure 12 .
[0101] Specifically, there are multiple first shielding parts 16 and multiple light-transmitting holes 153 , and the multiple first shielding parts 16 and the multiple light-transmitting holes 153 are arranged in a one-to-one correspondence.
[0102] In one feasible embodiment, the first shielding portion 16 and the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 are provided in the same layer. That is, both the first shielding portion 16 and the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 are made of a transparent conductive material. After the entire layer is prepared, they are patterned within the first display area A1 and the second display area A2, respectively, to form the first shielding portion 16 and the light-transmitting connecting portion 13. Preparing the first shielding portion 16 and the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 in the same layer simplifies the manufacturing process.
[0103] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG14 , the second electrode 113 of the first light-emitting unit 114 is electrically connected to the second electrode 113 of the second light-emitting unit 115 via a light-transmitting connecting portion 13 .
[0104] That is, in the above embodiment, the respective second electrodes 113 in the first display area A1 can be electrically connected through the first isolation structure 120 and the light-transmitting connecting portion 13, and the respective second electrodes 113 in the second display area A2 can be electrically connected through the second isolation structure 15. By electrically connecting the light-transmitting connecting portion 13 with the second isolation structure 15, the electrical connection of the second electrodes 113 in the entire display panel 1 (including the first display area A1 and the second display area A2) is achieved, so that the second electrodes 113 in the entire display panel 1 are centrally powered, thereby simplifying wiring.
[0105] Specifically, at positions adjacent to the first display area A1 and the second display area A2, the first solid portion 121 of the first isolation structure 120 is electrically connected to the second solid portion 151 of the second isolation structure 15 through the transparent connecting portion 13, thereby achieving electrical connection of the second electrode 113 in the display panel 1.
[0106] In one feasible embodiment, the substrate 10 includes a first driving circuit located in the first display area A1. The first electrode 111 of the first light-emitting unit 114 is connected to the first driving circuit via a first electrode trace 17. The first electrode trace 17 is made of a transparent conductive material. Using a transparent conductive material for the first electrode trace 17 improves the light transmittance of the first display area A1.
[0107] In a feasible embodiment, the display panel 1 also includes a transition area A3, which is located between the first display area A1 and the second display area A2. The light-emitting unit 11 includes a third light-emitting unit 116 located in the transition area A3. The substrate 10 includes a second driving circuit located in the transition area A3. The first electrode 111 of the third light-emitting unit 116 is connected to the second driving circuit through the second electrode trace 19, and the first electrode 111 of the first light-emitting unit 114 is connected to the second driving circuit through the second electrode trace 19.
[0108] In the above embodiment, by setting the transition area A3 and electrically connecting the third light-emitting unit 116 located in the transition area A3 and the first light-emitting unit 114 located in the first display area A1 to the second driving circuit located in the transition area A3, the preparation of the first driving circuit in the first display area A1 can be omitted, thereby further improving the transmittance of the first display area A1.
[0109] Specifically, the second electrode traces 19 include a transparent conductive material to further improve the light transmittance of the first display area A1 and the transition area A3.
[0110] In a feasible embodiment, the isolation structure 12 further includes a third isolation structure 21 located in the transition area A3 , and the second electrode 113 of the third light-emitting unit 116 is connected to the third isolation structure 21 .
[0111] Specifically, the third isolation structure 21 is continuously arranged with the second isolation structure 15, and the third isolation structure 21 is electrically connected with the first isolation structure 120 through the light-transmitting connecting portion 13; or, the third isolation structure 21 has the same structure as the first isolation structure 120, and the third isolation structure 21 is electrically connected with the second isolation structure 15 through the light-transmitting connecting portion 13.
[0112] The provision of a third isolation structure 21 within transition region A3 allows for the fabrication of the third light-emitting units 116 by first forming the individual film layers of the third light-emitting units 116 of one color across the entire surface. Etching is then performed to form the third light-emitting units 116 of that color at designated locations, exposing locations for forming third light-emitting units 116 of other colors. The different colors of the third light-emitting units 116 can be fabricated in multiple stages, eliminating the need for a mask. Furthermore, there is no need to prepare the pixel definition layer 14 or support columns located on the side of the pixel definition layer 14 facing away from the substrate 10 to support the mask, thereby reducing fabrication costs. The third isolation structure can be formed of a dark-colored material to provide a light-shielding effect, preventing crosstalk between adjacent third light-emitting units 116. The third isolation structure can have the same structure as the first isolation structure or the second isolation structure, without specific limitations in this application. When the third isolation structure 21 has the same structure as either the first isolation structure 120 or the second isolation structure 15, it is electrically connected to the other via the light-transmitting connection portion 13.
[0113] The display panel 1 further includes a third driving circuit located within the second display area A2 for driving the second light-emitting unit 115 to emit light. The second light-emitting unit 115 is electrically connected to the third driving circuit via electrode traces. In one feasible embodiment, the orthographic projection of the first light-emitting unit 114 on the substrate 10 is at least one of an ellipse, a circle, a polygon, and a rounded polygon.
[0114] Specifically, when the orthographic projection of the first light-emitting unit 114 on the substrate 10 is circular or elliptical, diffraction of light within the first display area A1 can be reduced. When the first light-emitting unit 114 needs to be rectangular due to display requirements, to reduce diffraction of light by straight edges, the arc corners can be chamfered to form a rounded rectangle.
[0115] The display panel provided in the present application further includes an encapsulation layer 18 , as shown in FIG14 and FIG15 , which is formed on the side of the light-emitting unit away from the substrate and corresponds one-to-one to the light-emitting unit, with adjacent encapsulation layers 18 spaced apart.
[0116] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in Figures 1 and 16, the display panel 1 also includes a border area B, and the isolation structure 12 also includes a fourth isolation structure 22 located in the border area B. The fourth isolation structure 22 is continuously arranged with the second isolation structure 15, and the fourth isolation structure 22 includes a ventilation hole 221.
[0117] In the above embodiment, in the border region B of the display panel 1, the isolation structure 12 includes a fourth isolation structure 22 located in the border region B of the display panel 1. The fourth isolation structure 22 is integrally formed with the second isolation structure 15, thereby simplifying the manufacturing process. The fourth isolation structure 22 includes ventilation holes 221, thereby improving the air permeability between the fourth isolation structure 22 and the underlying contact film layer, thereby improving the problem of lifting the fourth isolation structure 22 due to poor air permeability, thereby separating the fourth isolation structure 22 from the underlying film layer, thereby helping to improve product yield.
[0118] Specifically, the arrangement of the light-transmitting portions 221 is the same as the arrangement of the light-transmitting holes 153 .
[0119] The fourth isolation structure 22 is formed with air holes 221 arranged in the same manner as the light-transmitting holes 153 in the second isolation structure 15. The light-transmitting holes 153 and the air holes 221 are also prepared using the same process, so that the fourth isolation structure 22 and the second isolation structure 15 are prepared using the same process, which helps to simplify the preparation process.
[0120] Specifically, the frame area includes a second shielding portion 23 . The second shielding portion 23 is disposed on one side of the substrate 10 . The orthographic projection of the second shielding portion 23 on the substrate 10 covers the orthographic projection of the vent hole 221 on the substrate 10 .
[0121] In the above embodiment, in order to ensure the shielding effect of the border area B and reduce the mutual interference between the signal in the touch layer and the signal in the substrate 10 at the ventilation hole 221, a second shielding portion 23 is formed at a position opposite to the ventilation hole 221 to shield the signal, thereby improving the mutual interference between the signal in the touch layer and the signal in the substrate 10.
[0122] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in Figures 17 and 18, the second shielding portion 23 is provided on the same layer as the first shielding portion 16. That is, the second shielding portion 23 and the first shielding portion 16 are manufactured using the same process, thereby simplifying the manufacturing process and reducing the manufacturing cost.
[0123] In one feasible embodiment, as shown in Figures 17 and 18 , the second shielding portions 23 are arranged in a one-to-one correspondence with the air holes 221, with the second shielding portions 23 corresponding to adjacent air holes 221 spaced apart. This allows the second shielding portions 23 and the first shielding portion 16 to be manufactured using the same process. Furthermore, while achieving a good shielding effect, it also reduces the material used for the second shielding portions 23, thereby saving costs.
[0124] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG. 17 and FIG. 18 , the border region B further includes a dam 24 . The dam 24 is located on one side of the substrate 10 . The dam 24 and the fourth isolation structure 22 are provided in the same layer and spaced apart.
[0125] In the above embodiment, the dam 24 can be used to prevent the film from flowing outward, thereby improving the film's production yield and thickness uniformity. Specifically, the display panel 1 may further include an organic encapsulation layer 25 and an inorganic encapsulation layer 26 located on the side of the encapsulation layer 18 facing away from the substrate 10. The organic encapsulation layer 25 has high fluidity, and the dam 24 can be used to prevent the organic encapsulation layer 25 from flowing toward the sides of the display panel 1, thereby improving the production yield and thickness uniformity of the organic encapsulation layer 25.
[0126] The present application also provides another display panel 1, comprising a first display sub-area A21. The display panel 1 includes a substrate 10, a light-emitting unit 11, an isolation structure 12, and a first shielding portion 16. There are multiple light-emitting units 11, each of which includes a first electrode 111, a light-emitting functional unit 112, and a second electrode 113 stacked in a direction away from the substrate 10. The second electrodes 113 of adjacent light-emitting units 11 are spaced apart. The isolation structure 12 is formed on one side of the substrate 10 and includes a first solid portion 121 and a first opening 122. The first solid portion 121 surrounds the first opening 122, exposing at least a portion of the first electrode 111 of the light-emitting unit 11. The isolation structure 12 also includes at least one light-transmitting hole 153 disposed in the first display sub-area A21. The first shielding portion 16 is located on one side of the substrate 10. The orthographic projection of the first shielding portion 16 on the substrate 10 overlaps with the orthographic projection of the light-transmitting hole 153 on the substrate 10. The first shielding portion 16 is a light-transmitting structure.
[0127] The display panel 1 provided herein includes a substrate 10, a light-emitting unit 11, and an isolation structure 12. The isolation structure 12 also includes at least one light-transmitting hole 153 disposed in the first display sub-area A21, thereby improving the light transmittance of the first display sub-area A21. The orthographic projection of the first shielding portion 16 on the substrate 10 overlaps the orthographic projection of the light-transmitting hole 153 on the substrate 10. Specifically, the first shielding portion 16 can be formed between the isolation structure 12 and the substrate 10, and the first shielding portion 16 can contact the isolation structure 12. First shielding portion 16 can effectively shield signal interference between the film layer on the side of isolation structure 12 facing away from substrate 10 and substrate 10. Specifically, display panel 1 may include a touch layer located on the side of isolation structure 12 facing away from substrate 10. The touch layer includes touch electrodes. Substrate 10 includes signal traces for driving light-emitting unit 11 for display. Providing first shielding portion 16 at light-transmitting hole 153 can reduce mutual interference between the touch electrodes and the signal traces within substrate 10 at light-transmitting hole 153, thereby improving the performance of display panel 1. Specifically, isolation structure 12 includes a metal layer that shields locations outside light-transmitting hole 153, thereby reducing mutual interference between touch signals and display signals.
[0128] In a feasible embodiment, the orthographic projection of the first shielding portion 16 on the substrate 10 covers the orthographic projection of the light-transmitting hole 153 on the substrate 10 , thereby achieving a good shielding effect.
[0129] In a feasible embodiment, the first shielding portion 16 is electrically connected to the isolation structure 12 , so as to achieve continuity of the isolation structure 12 within the first display sub-area A21 , thereby facilitating signal transmission.
[0130] In one feasible embodiment, the display panel 1 further includes a second display sub-area A22, the first display sub-area A21 has a greater transmittance than the second display sub-area A22, and the first shielding portion 16 is disposed in the first display sub-area A21 and not in the second display sub-area A22. Specifically, the display panel 1 may further include a first display area A1, the transmittance of the first display area A1 being greater than the transmittance of the first display sub-area A21. Specifically, the first display area A1 may be an under-screen camera area. The second display sub-area A22 may be a normal display area, and the first display sub-area A21 may be a fingerprint recognition area, etc.
[0131] In one feasible embodiment, there are multiple first shielding portions 16 and multiple light-transmitting holes 153, and the multiple first shielding portions 16 are provided in a one-to-one correspondence with the multiple light-transmitting holes 153. Thus, the first shielding portions 16 shield the light-transmitting holes 153 area, and the multiple first shielding portions 16 are spaced apart, which helps reduce material costs.
[0132] In one feasible embodiment, the light-emitting unit 11 includes a second light-emitting unit 115 located in the first display sub-area A21 and the second display sub-area A22. The isolation structure 12 includes a second isolation structure 1512 located in the first display sub-area A21 and the second display sub-area A22. The second isolation structure 1512 has a mesh structure and includes a second solid portion 151 and a second opening portion 152. The second solid portion 151 is provided continuously throughout the entire layer, and the second opening portion 152 is used to expose at least a portion of the first electrode 111 of the second light-emitting unit 115. The second isolation structure 1512 can eliminate the need for a mask during the fabrication of the light-emitting unit 11, improving the fabrication process of the light-emitting unit 11 and reducing crosstalk between adjacent light-emitting units 11.
[0133] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in Figure 19, the second isolation structure 1512 includes a fifth isolation portion 154, the fifth isolation portion 154 includes a second insulating layer 1541 and a second conductive layer 1542, the second insulating layer 1541 at least covers the edge of the second electrode 113 of the second light-emitting unit 115, the second conductive layer 1542 is located on the side of the second insulating layer 1541 away from the substrate 10, and the second electrode 113 of the second light-emitting unit 115 and the first shielding portion 16 are electrically connected to the second conductive layer 1542, respectively.
[0134] In the above embodiment, the pixel definition layer 14 in the display panel 1 is omitted, and the isolation structure 12 is used to define the light-emitting unit 11. The isolation structure 12 includes a second isolation structure 1512, which includes a fifth isolation portion 154. The fifth isolation portion 154 includes a second insulating layer 1541 and a second conductive layer 1542. The second conductive layer 1542 is located on the side of the second insulating layer 1541 facing away from the substrate 10. The second insulating layer 1541 is in direct contact with the substrate 10 and the side of the first electrode 111 of the second light-emitting unit 115 facing away from the substrate 10. The second insulating layer 1541 covers the edge of the first electrode 111 of the second light-emitting unit 115 to achieve mutual insulation between the first electrodes 111 of adjacent second light-emitting units 115 and protect the first electrodes 111 of the second light-emitting units 115. The second conductive layer 1542 and the first shielding portion 16 are used to achieve mutual connection between the second electrodes 113 of different second light-emitting units 115. Specifically, the second electrode 113 of the second light-emitting unit 115 is in direct contact with the side wall of the second conductive layer 1542 to achieve electrical connection between the second electrode 113 of the second light-emitting unit 115 and the second isolation structure 1512. The portions of the second isolation structure 1512 located on both sides of the light-transmitting hole 153 are electrically connected through the first shielding portion 16, thereby further improving the continuity of the entire surface of the second isolation structure 1512.
[0135] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in Figure 19, the second isolation structure 1512 also includes a sixth isolation portion 155, which is located on the side of the fifth isolation portion 154 facing away from the substrate 10, and the orthographic projection of the fifth isolation portion 154 on the substrate 10 is located within the orthographic projection of the sixth isolation portion 155 on the substrate 10.
[0136] In the above embodiment, the second isolation structure 1512 includes a fifth isolation portion 154 and a sixth isolation portion 155 stacked in a direction away from the substrate 10. The orthographic projection of the fifth isolation portion 154 on the substrate 10 is located within the orthographic projection of the sixth isolation portion 155 on the substrate 10. Therefore, when preparing second light-emitting units 115 of various colors, the various film layers of the second light-emitting units 115 of one color can be formed entirely on the surface. Then, etching is performed to form the second light-emitting units 115 of that color at designated second openings 152, exposing the second openings 152 for forming second light-emitting units 115 of other colors. Second light-emitting units 115 of different colors can be prepared in multiple stages. This process eliminates the need for a mask, pixel definition layer 14, and support pillars located on the side of the pixel definition layer 14 facing away from the substrate 10 to support the mask, thereby reducing production costs. The second isolation structure 1512 can be formed using a dark material to provide a light-shielding effect and prevent crosstalk between adjacent second light-emitting units 115.
[0137] In one feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG20 , a pixel definition layer 14 is further included. The pixel definition layer 14 is located between the first electrode 111 and the isolation structure 12. The pixel definition layer 14 includes a pixel defining portion 141 and a pixel opening 142. The pixel opening 142 corresponds to and communicates with the second opening 152, and is used to accommodate the light-emitting unit 11. The second isolation structure 1512 includes a seventh isolation portion 156. The seventh isolation portion 156 is made of a conductive material. The first shielding portion 16 and the second electrode 113 of the second light-emitting unit 115 are respectively connected to the seventh isolation portion 156.
[0138] In the above embodiment, the display panel 1 includes a pixel definition layer 14 and an isolation structure 12 located on a side of the pixel definition layer 14 facing away from the substrate 10. The pixel definition layer 14 is used to define the light-emitting units 11. The second isolation structure 1512 includes a seventh isolation portion 156 that directly contacts a surface of the pixel definition layer 14 facing away from the substrate 10. The seventh isolation portion 156 is made of a conductive material. The second electrodes 113 of the second light-emitting units 115 and the first shielding portion 16 are respectively connected to the seventh isolation portion 156, thereby achieving electrical connection between the second electrodes 113 of different second light-emitting units 115.
[0139] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in Figure 20, the seventh isolation portion 156 includes a first functional layer 1561 and a second functional layer 1562, the second functional layer 1562 is located on the side of the first functional layer 1561 away from the substrate 10, the first functional layer 1561 includes a conductive material, and the first shielding portion 16 and the second electrode 113 of the second light-emitting unit 115 are respectively connected to the first functional layer 1561.
[0140] In the above embodiment, the first functional layer 1561 can be made of a metal such as molybdenum, and the second functional layer 1562 can be made of a metal such as aluminum. The first functional layer 1561 can protect the second functional layer 1562 from oxidation caused by water and oxygen on the substrate 10.
[0141] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in Figure 20, the second isolation structure 1512 also includes an eighth isolation portion 157, which is located on the side of the seventh isolation portion 156 facing away from the substrate 10, and the orthographic projection of the seventh isolation portion 156 on the substrate 10 is located within the orthographic projection of the eighth isolation portion 157 on the substrate 10.
[0142] In the above embodiment, the second isolation structure 1512 includes a seventh isolation portion 156 and an eighth isolation portion 157. The orthographic projection of the seventh isolation portion 156 on the substrate 10 is located within the orthographic projection of the eighth isolation portion 157 on the substrate 10. Therefore, when preparing second light-emitting units 115 of various colors, the various film layers of the second light-emitting units 115 of one color can be first formed entirely on the surface. Etching is then performed to form second light-emitting units 115 of that color at designated second openings 152, exposing the second openings 152 for forming second light-emitting units 115 of other colors. Second light-emitting units 115 of different colors can be prepared in multiple stages. This preparation process eliminates the need for a mask, pixel definition layer 14, and support pillars located on the side of the pixel definition layer 14 facing away from the substrate 10 for supporting the mask, thereby reducing preparation costs. The second isolation structure 1512 can be formed using a dark material, thereby providing a light-shielding effect and preventing crosstalk between adjacent second light-emitting units 115.
[0143] In a feasible embodiment, the first shielding portion 16 and the first functional layer 1561 are arranged in a direction parallel to the plane of the substrate 10 and contact each other, and the orthographic projection of the second functional layer 1562 on the substrate 10 covers a partial area of the orthographic projection of the first shielding portion 16 on the substrate 10; or, as shown in Figure 20, the orthographic projection of the second functional layer 1562 on the substrate 10 does not overlap with the orthographic projection of the first shielding portion 16 on the substrate 10.
[0144] In the above embodiment, the first shielding portion 16 and the sidewalls of the first functional layer 1561 contact each other, thereby achieving electrical connection between the first shielding portion 16 and the first functional layer 1561. Furthermore, a portion of the first shielding portion 16 is located between the second functional layer 1562 and the pixel definition layer 14. Specifically, the orthographic projection of the second functional layer 1562 on the substrate 10 covers a portion of the orthographic projection of the first shielding portion 16 on the substrate 10. This protects the contact portion between the first functional layer 1561 and the first shielding portion 16 via the second functional layer 1562, reducing the impact of subsequent processing on this contact portion. Furthermore, when the second functional layer 1562 is made of metal, the contact resistance between the first shielding portion 16 and the first functional layer 1561 can be further reduced.
[0145] In one feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG21 , the first shielding portion 16 contacts the side of the pixel definition layer 14 facing away from the substrate 10, with the first functional layer 1561 covering the edge of the first shielding portion 16 . The orthographic projection of the second functional layer 1562 on the substrate 10 partially covers the orthographic projection of the first shielding portion 16 on the substrate 10. This allows for electrical connection between the first shielding portion 16 and the first functional layer 1561 . Furthermore, the second functional layer 1562 protects the contact portion between the first functional layer 1561 and the first shielding portion 16 .
[0146] In the above embodiment, the first shielding portion 16 is formed on the side of the pixel definition layer 14 facing away from the substrate 10, and the first functional layer 1561 is formed on the side of the first shielding portion 16 facing away from the substrate 10. Specifically, the first shielding portion 16 is formed first, followed by the first functional layer 1561. The first functional layer 1561 covers the edge of the first shielding portion 16, i.e., the first functional layer 1561 contacts the sidewall of the first shielding portion 16 facing the second opening 152. Furthermore, the first functional layer 1561 contacts the surface of the first shielding portion 16 facing away from the substrate 10. This increases the contact area between the first functional layer 1561 and the first shielding portion 16, thereby improving the connection stability and reducing the contact resistance between the two.
[0147] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG22 , the first shielding portion 16 and the first functional layer 1561 are made of the same material, and the first shielding portion 16 and the first functional layer 1561 are an integrated structure.
[0148] In the above embodiment, the first shielding portion 16 and the first functional layer 1561 are manufactured in a single process, forming an integrated structure. This provides a more stable connection between the two, while also simplifying the manufacturing process and reducing manufacturing costs. In this case, the first functional layer 1561 is made of the same material as the first shielding portion 16, both using a transparent conductive material.
[0149] In the above embodiment, as shown in Figure 23, the end of the first functional layer 1561 close to the second opening portion 152 has a second extension portion 1563 extending out of the second functional layer 1562, and the orthographic projection of the second extension portion 1563 on the substrate 10 is located within the orthographic projection of the eighth isolation portion 157 on the substrate 10.
[0150] In the above embodiment, by providing the second extension portion 1563 on the first functional layer 1561, a preset distance is provided between one end of the second functional layer 1562 close to the second opening portion 152 and one end of the first functional layer 1561 close to the second opening portion 152. This can further increase the contact area between the second electrode 113 of the second light-emitting unit 115 and the first functional layer 1561, improve the stability of the electrical connection between the second electrode 113 of the second light-emitting unit 115 and the second isolation structure 1512, and at the same time, reduce the contact resistance.
[0151] In a feasible embodiment, as shown in FIG24 , the display panel 1 further includes a touch layer located on a side of the isolation structure 12 away from the substrate 10 , and the first shielding portion 16 is located between the substrate 10 and the touch layer.
[0152] Specifically, the substrate 10 includes a driving circuit layer. The first shielding portion 16 is located between the driving circuit layer and the first electrode 111 . The first shielding portion 16 corresponds to the second light-emitting unit 115 one by one. Adjacent first shielding portions 16 are arranged at intervals. The first electrode 111 is connected to the first shielding portion 16 .
[0153] Specifically, the driving circuit layer includes a first driving circuit located in the first display sub-area A21 , and the first electrode 111 of the second light emitting unit 115 is connected to the first driving circuit via a first shielding portion 16 ; the first shielding portion 16 includes a transparent conductive material.
[0154] In the above embodiment, the first shielding portion 16 may not be in contact with the isolation structure 12, but may be disposed inside the substrate 10. This application does not impose any particular limitation on this.
