FIG. 12 is a block diagram showing the hardware configuration of an information processing device constituting the vehicle air conditioner (air conditioning control means) of the present invention.
[0008] Hereinafter, a vehicle air conditioner according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings to facilitate understanding of the present invention. The vehicle air conditioner according to the present invention is an air conditioner for a vehicle that is mounted on a vehicle such as an electric vehicle (EV) powered by an electrically driven motor and that controls an air conditioning system (a so-called car air conditioner) for a vehicle interior space.
[0009] Here, an EV (electric vehicle) is a vehicle that can run by driving a motor electrically and is equipped with a storage battery (battery) that supplies power to the air conditioning system that is the target of control by the automotive air conditioning device of the present invention. The storage battery equipped in an EV may have a capacity of, for example, 40 kWh (single-cell type), a charging time of 6 to 12 hours, and a cruising range of approximately 400 to 480 km when fully charged. Note that the term EV also includes ultra-compact EVs with bodies the same size as or smaller than a light vehicle. Furthermore, hybrid vehicles (HVs) equipped with dual power sources, a motor and an engine, can also be included in the EVs to which the automotive air conditioning device of the present invention is applicable. Furthermore, fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) that generate electricity using hydrogen and oxygen to drive a motor can also be included in the EVs to which the present invention is applicable.
[0010] The automotive air conditioning system according to this embodiment is capable of maintaining and controlling the temperature inside the vehicle cabin at a comfortable temperature for the occupants by controlling the air conditioning system while ensuring as long as possible the driving distance of the battery of the electric vehicle constituting the vehicle. As described above, if an electric vehicle running on battery power were to prioritize passenger comfort and operate the air conditioning system unlimitedly and unconditionally, power consumption would increase accordingly, thereby reducing the vehicle's cruising range. For this reason, the automotive air conditioning system that controls the air conditioning system is required to have the capability and control to ensure passenger comfort, while also being required to reduce power consumption and prevent a decrease in the vehicle's cruising range.
[0011] In electric vehicles, one approach to solving the trade-off between air conditioning system operation and improving the vehicle's cruising range has been to use "individual (independent) air conditioning," which individually conditions the air for each occupant in the vehicle. This reduces the power consumption of the air conditioning system by not conditioning spaces where no occupants are present. With this approach, for example, if a passenger gets into the vehicle midway during a pick-up or drop-off, the individual air conditioning for the spaces where no occupants are present is not performed, and the individual air conditioning for the spaces is started when the passengers enter the vehicle. As a result, the individual air conditioning for one or more spaces where a passenger is present is maintained at a comfortable temperature, and the entire interior space, including the spaces where no occupants are present, can be brought closer to a target comfortable temperature by "gradual adjustment."
[0012] However, passengers who board a shared car or taxi midway through the journey may find it difficult to ask for a change to the set temperature, even if they feel it is too hot or too cold due to the temperature difference with the outside air. Furthermore, temperature perception may differ between the elderly and young, between men and women, and between adults and children, so the temperature may not necessarily be comfortable for passengers who board later. Furthermore, elderly people, in particular, may experience a decline in their ability to sense hot or cold due to aging, and depending on the level of temperature control in the vehicle, they may suffer from heatstroke due to high temperatures or heat shock due to sudden temperature changes.
[0013] Furthermore, even if the temperature in spaces where passengers are not present is controlled to a certain extent by individual air conditioning for the spaces where passengers are present, the target value (comfortable temperature) may not be reached when passengers enter the vehicle midway, which may result in a loss of comfort. Furthermore, for example, when using a vehicle, passengers may place shopping or other luggage in vacant seats, and some of the luggage may contain items that require temperature control, such as maintaining a low temperature. However, individual air conditioning that does not control the temperature in spaces where passengers are not present does not control the temperature of the space where the luggage is placed, and temperature control for luggage was not even anticipated in the first place.
[0014] The vehicle air conditioning system of this embodiment does not simply provide individual air conditioning for occupants as in the past, but dynamically determines whether or not temperature control is necessary in the vehicle cabin, regardless of whether or not there are occupants, and for areas that require temperature control, it actively controls the air conditioning, thereby controlling the temperature of one or more target spaces to the desired target temperature. It also makes it possible to provide a comfortable vehicle interior space at all times by suggesting changes to the set temperature even to people who cannot directly ask for such changes, for example. As a result, the vehicle air conditioning system of this embodiment can maintain and control the temperature inside the vehicle cabin at a comfortable temperature for occupants while ensuring the vehicle's battery-powered driving distance as much as possible, and can also appropriately control the temperature for luggage, etc.
[0015] Specifically, as shown in FIG. 1, the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to this embodiment includes an air conditioning system 10 (air conditioning unit 11, air agitator 12), a sensor 13, an operation unit 14, and air conditioning control means 20, and the entire vehicle air conditioner 1 including these units is mounted in a vehicle (EV) not shown.
[0016] [Air Conditioning System] The air conditioning system 10 is a means for adjusting the temperature and air conditioning of the vehicle interior space, and includes an air conditioning unit 11, an air agitator 12, etc. The air conditioning unit 11 is configured with a blower, a heat exchanger, etc., and functions as an individual air conditioning device that can blow temperature-controlled air / wind into the vehicle interior space at the driver's seat, passenger seat, right rear seat, and left rear seat, respectively, as shown in Fig. 2(a). Specifically, the blower that constitutes the air conditioning unit 11 is equipped with a heat exchanger and the like inside, and as shown in Figure 2(a), outlets for temperature-controlled air (cold air / hot air) (driver's seat footwell outlet: DFV / passenger seat footwell outlet: PFV), registers (center register: CR / side register: SR / center pillar register: CPR / console rear face register: CRFR), defrosters (front defroster: FD / side defroster: SD), heater ducts (rear heater duct: RHD), etc. are provided in predetermined locations within the vehicle interior space, so that predetermined temperature and air conditioning can be performed in individual spaces such as the driver's seat, passenger seat, right rear seat, and left rear seat.
[0017] As shown in Figure 2(b), the air agitator 12 is a device known as a circulator, which adjusts and controls the temperature of the entire vehicle interior space by agitating and circulating the air in the vehicle interior space. Although not specifically shown, the air conditioning system 10 may also be equipped with seat heaters that can individually adjust the temperature of each seat in the vehicle. The air conditioning system 10 (air conditioning unit 11, air agitator 12, seat heaters, etc.) described above can be configured using existing air conditioning systems and air conditioning devices.
[0018] The power consumption of such an air conditioning system 10 during operation varies as follows, depending on a plurality of different operation / control patterns, for example, Controls 1-3, as follows: "Power consumption: Control 2 > Control 1 > Control 3" Control 1: Individual air conditioning that increases the blower air volume when the number of air outlets increases due to an increase in passengers or luggage (the target temperature of the heat exchanger is feedback controlled according to the blower air volume). Control 2: Individual air conditioning that sets the target temperature of the condenser higher (or the target temperature of the evaporator lower) than in Control 1 when the air temperature in the space where passengers are seated deviates from the target value by a certain amount or more (for example, by 5°C or more). Control 3: Agitation and circulation of the air in the vehicle cabin by an air blowing means (circulator) inside the vehicle cabin.
[0019] Therefore, in this embodiment, the control of the air conditioning system 10 can be adjusted or changed to one of the above-mentioned multiple different operating patterns depending on the target comfortable temperature, the presence or absence of occupants, luggage, etc., and these multiple different operating patterns can be generated and presented as suggested information to the occupants (see Figures 4, 7, and 10 described below). Note that the above-mentioned operating patterns (controls 1-3) of the air conditioning system 10 are just examples, and it is of course possible to perform other control patterns, such as four or more operating / control patterns. This makes it possible to achieve a comfortable interior environment for the occupants while maintaining the vehicle's cruising range as long as possible.
[0020] [Sensor] The sensor 13 is a sensor means for detecting temperature, people (occupants), and objects (luggage) in each seat in the vehicle's interior space. For example, the sensor 13 can be configured with a temperature sensor, a thermographic camera, etc., that acquires temperature information in each seat space of the vehicle, a human presence sensor, a weight sensor, an interior camera, etc., that detect the presence or absence of an occupant in the seat, and an object sensor, weight sensor, interior camera, etc., that detects luggage placed on the seat. Note that such a sensor 13 can be configured with various existing sensors, information acquisition devices, etc. The temperature information, human presence signal, and object signal acquired and output by this sensor 13 are input to the air conditioning control means 20 described below, and the above-mentioned control of the air conditioning system 10, including the generation and output of predetermined recommendation information, is executed.
[0021] [Operation Unit] The operation unit 14 is an operation means that can be manually operated by a vehicle occupant to operate and operate the above-described air conditioning system 10. For example, the operation unit 14 can be configured with an operation panel / buttons, a display / display panel, a speaker, etc. that are provided in the driver's seat or rear seats of the vehicle. Note that this operation unit 14 can also be configured with existing operation means, display panels, etc.
[0022] An operation signal output by operating the operation unit 14 is input to the air conditioning control means 20 (described later), which executes the control of the air conditioning system 10, including the generation and output of predetermined proposal information. Furthermore, proposed information for air conditioning control (described later) is displayed and output via, for example, a display of the operation unit 14 (see FIGS. 5, 8, and 11), and the proposed information is output and notified by voice via a speaker of the operation unit 14.
[0023] [Air Conditioning Control Means] The air conditioning control means 20 is a control means for maintaining a comfortable interior space of the vehicle while balancing the vehicle's cruising range and the power consumption by air conditioning by operating and controlling the above-mentioned air conditioning system 10. Specifically, the air conditioning control means 20 monitors and detects the temperature and the presence or absence of people / objects in the interior space of the vehicle using the above-mentioned sensor 13, and controls the air conditioning unit 11 and the air agitator 12 of the air conditioning system 10 according to predetermined proposal information described below, thereby comprising software (programs) and hardware (information processing device such as a computer) for executing processes, means, and functions for controlling the temperature in the interior space of the vehicle to a predetermined target temperature (see FIG. 12 ).
[0024] The air conditioning control means 20 according to this embodiment is configured according to at least one of the first, second, and third embodiments, as shown below (see FIGS. 3, 6, and 9). Below, with reference to FIGS. 3 to 11, a specific embodiment of the air conditioning control means 20 of the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to this embodiment will be described in detail, including the configuration of each part and their operation, processing, and functions.
[0025] First Embodiment First, a first embodiment of the air conditioning control means 20 will be described with reference to Figures 3-5. Figure 3 is a functional block diagram showing the configuration of an air conditioning control means 20a according to a first embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the air conditioning control means 20a according to the first embodiment includes an interior temperature acquisition unit 21a, an occupancy detection unit 22a, an occupant temperature acquisition unit 23a, a proposal information generation unit 24a, and an air conditioning control unit 25a.
[0026] The vehicle interior temperature acquisition unit 21a is a means for acquiring temperature information about the vehicle interior. Specifically, the vehicle interior temperature acquisition unit 21a inputs temperature information generated and acquired by the temperature sensor, thermography camera, etc. that constitute the sensor 13, and constantly monitors and grasps the temperature of each space (seat) in the vehicle interior.
[0027] The passenger detection unit 22a is a means for detecting when a person has entered the vehicle from outside. Specifically, the passenger detection unit 22a receives a human detection signal, occupant information, etc. generated and acquired by the human detection sensor, weight sensor, and in-vehicle camera that constitute the sensor 13, and constantly monitors and grasps the presence or absence of an occupant and the temperature in each space (seat) in the vehicle interior.
[0028] The occupant temperature acquisition unit 23a is a means for acquiring temperature information of the occupants. Specifically, the occupant temperature acquisition unit 23a inputs temperature information generated and acquired by the temperature sensor, thermography camera, etc. that constitute the sensor 13, and constantly monitors and grasps the body surface temperatures of the occupants in each space (seat) in the vehicle interior.
[0029] When the occupant detection unit 22a detects that a person has entered the vehicle from outside, the proposal information generation unit 24a compares the temperature information of the vehicle interior space occupied by the occupant acquired by the vehicle interior temperature acquisition unit 21a with predetermined target temperature information to generate predetermined proposal information. Specifically, when the occupant has entered the vehicle from outside, the proposal information generation unit 24a compares the temperature information of the space occupied by the occupant (the ambient temperature of the seat) with predetermined target temperature information to calculate a temperature difference. If the calculated temperature difference is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, the proposal information generation unit 24a generates proposal information for adjusting the air conditioning settings of the air conditioning system 10 for the occupant to a temperature difference between the vehicle interior temperature information and the predetermined target temperature information equal to or less than a predetermined value. For example, the proposal information generation unit 24a can estimate and determine target temperature information based on the temperature information of the occupant who entered the vehicle from outside, and generate and output predetermined proposal information.
[0030] More specifically, when a passenger is detected entering the vehicle from outside, the proposal information generator 24a estimates and determines the target temperature to be set for the passenger, based on the temperature information of the passenger who entered the vehicle from outside, acquired and output by the passenger temperature acquisition unit 23a. For example, if the temperature information (body temperature / body surface temperature) of a passenger who has been waiting outside in the summer is 30°C, the proposal information generator 24a estimates and determines the target temperature information based on the temperature (e.g., 25°C) already set for the individual air conditioning of the driver, compares the target temperature with the temperature (ambient temperature) of the space in which the passenger is riding, and calculates the temperature difference. If the temperature difference (5°C) is equal to or greater than a predetermined value (e.g., 1°C), the proposal information generator 24a selects, for example, the above-mentioned "Control 2" as the control of the air conditioning system 10 for the individual air conditioning of the passenger's space, and generates and outputs the result as proposal information (see FIG. 5).
[0031] Furthermore, the proposal information generating unit 24a can determine target temperature information based on any preset temperature information, and generate and output predetermined proposal information. Specifically, for example, by storing and setting the driver's preferred air conditioning temperature setting or the customer's preferred air conditioning temperature setting when accepting a reservation for a taxi or shared car as target temperature information in advance, the proposal information generating unit 24a can select and extract any temperature information from the one or more set temperature information and set it as the target temperature information.
[0032] Such "preferred target temperature" information and taxi or shared car reservation information can be stored and managed, for example, in a predetermined storage means of an information processing device constituting the air conditioning control means 20. Alternatively, the information can be received by the air conditioning control means 20 via a network from a mobile terminal such as a smartphone carried by the occupant or from a taxi reservation system, and set as target temperature information. When a person gets into the vehicle from outside, if the difference between the passenger space and the preferred target temperature information is equal to or greater than a predetermined value (for example, 1°C), the "preferred target temperature" can be generated and output as suggested information to the occupant (see FIG. 5).
[0033] Here, the proposed information generator 24a can propose, as proposed information, one or more air conditioning settings with different air conditioning capacities from the normal mode of the air conditioning system 10. In this way, a passenger who gets in later can select a desired air conditioning setting from the multiple pieces of proposed information. In addition, the proposed information generator 24a can output the generated proposed information as predetermined display information and / or predetermined audio information.
[0034] For example, the proposed information generated by the proposed information generating unit 24a can be displayed and output on a display panel / display provided in the operation unit 14 of the air conditioning system 10 (FIG. 5). In this way, the occupant looking at the display can intuitively recognize and understand one or more pieces of proposed information through their eyes, and can easily and quickly make selection decisions and perform operations.
[0035] The suggested information can also be output as audio information via a speaker or the like provided in the operation unit 14 of the air conditioning system 10. In this way, changes to or suggestions about air conditioning settings can be notified by audio to passengers in the back seats, such as taxi passengers, who cannot see the display, and the suggested information can be reliably conveyed to passengers who find it difficult to ask for a change in the air conditioning temperature setting or who are unaware of the suggested information itself, making it possible to suggest and realize a comfortable interior environment in the vehicle.
[0036] The air conditioning control unit 25a is a means for controlling the air conditioning system based on the proposed information. Specifically, the air conditioning control unit 25a operates the air conditioning unit 11 and the air agitator 12 of the air conditioning system 10 in accordance with the control content selected and determined by operating and inputting operations on the operation unit 14, including the air conditioning setting and control pattern indicated in the proposed information. As a result, the air conditioning system 10 is operated in a predetermined control pattern, including the content of the proposed information presented to the occupant, and the temperature and air conditioning in the vehicle cabin are controlled to the desired level, thereby providing and maintaining a comfortable cabin environment for the occupant.
[0037] Next, an example of a specific control process procedure for the air conditioning system 10 by the air conditioning control means 20a according to the first embodiment configured as described above will be described with reference to FIG. 4. FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing the control process procedure for the air conditioning system 10 by the air conditioning control means 20a according to the first embodiment. As shown in the figure, first, when an occupant is detected in any space within the vehicle cabin (S401), the air-conditioned space in which the occupant is riding is determined (S402), and individual air conditioning is performed (S403). Here, it is assumed that a driver of the vehicle is first detected, and individual air conditioning for that driver is performed and operated.
[0038] After that, until the number of occupants increases (S404: No), only the space occupied by the occupant will be individually air-conditioned. When a new occupant is detected (S404: Yes), the seat occupied by the occupant is detected and determined as an additional air-conditioned space (S405). When the occupant subsequently enters the vehicle (S406), first, (a) temperature information about the occupant is acquired, and the target temperature for the individual air-conditioning to be set is estimated and determined from the occupant's temperature information (S407). Next, (b) ambient temperature information about the seat occupied by the occupant is acquired (S408). Then, (c) the temperature difference between the occupant's ambient temperature and the target temperature is calculated from the temperature information acquired in (a) and (b) (S409).
[0039] If the temperature difference between the occupant's ambient temperature and the target temperature is less than a predetermined value (here, ±1°C) (S410: No), no suggestion information about air conditioning is generated, and individual air conditioning operation for the added space is started (S411). On the other hand, if the temperature difference between the occupant's ambient temperature and the target temperature is greater than or equal to a predetermined value (±1°C) (S410: Yes), suggestion information about air conditioning is generated, and a change in the target temperature, etc. is suggested (S412).
[0040] The proposed information is output and displayed, for example, on a display panel of the operation unit 14 of the air conditioning system 10, and the proposed content is also output and announced audibly via a speaker. FIG. 5 schematically illustrates an example of proposed information generated and output by the air conditioning control unit 20a according to the first embodiment. In the example illustrated in FIG. 5, a change in air conditioning settings is proposed. If the occupant selects "Yes," individual air conditioning with a changed target temperature is performed. If the occupant selects "No," the normal individual air conditioning mode is performed. Thereafter, if the occupant selects to change the target temperature in accordance with the proposed information by operating, for example, the display panel or operation buttons of the operation unit 14 (S413: Yes), individual air conditioning for that occupant is started and performed at the changed target temperature (S414). If the occupant does not select to change the target temperature in accordance with the proposed information (S413: No), the preset individual air conditioning is started and performed for that occupant (S415).
[0041] In the above control flow, a case where only the target temperature of the air conditioning system 10 is changed is described, but air conditioning control with increased heating or cooling capacity is possible by changing not only the temperature but also, for example, the air volume. Also, in the above control flow, a temperature (e.g., 24°C) estimated and determined based on the temperature (body temperature / body surface temperature) of a passenger who gets in later is described as the target temperature that serves as the basis for the proposal information. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the target temperature may be, for example, an optimal blown-out temperature that differs for each passenger (individual optimization).
[0042] Specifically, the temperature preferences of the occupants are stored and set in a storage means or the like of the air conditioning control means 20 (vehicle air conditioner 1), and when the occupant is identified, the "optimum temperature (preferred temperature)" associated with the occupant is set as the target temperature, or the occupant can set the "optimum temperature (preferred temperature)" when reserving a ride, or the driver can change the target temperature based on information acquired from an information device such as a smartphone at the time of reservation. In such cases, a change in the target temperature can be suggested by performing the process "b: Acquire target temperature information" in "S408" of the control flow in Figure 4 described above.
[0043] As described above, the vehicle air conditioner 1 including the air conditioning control means 20a according to the first embodiment can achieve the following effects. (1) That is, the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to the first embodiment is a vehicle air conditioner 1 including an air conditioning system 10 capable of adjusting air conditioning for each occupant, and can include an interior temperature acquisition unit 21a that acquires temperature information about the interior of the vehicle, an entry detection unit 22a that detects that a person has entered the vehicle from outside, a proposal information generation unit 24a that, when it is detected that a person has entered the vehicle from outside, compares the interior temperature information with predetermined target temperature information and, if the temperature difference is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, generates predetermined proposal information for setting the air conditioning setting of the air conditioning system 10 for the person entering the vehicle from outside so that the temperature difference between the interior temperature information and the predetermined target temperature information is equal to or less than a predetermined value, and an air conditioning control unit 25a that controls the air conditioning system 10 based on the proposal information.
[0044] This makes it possible to maintain and control the temperature inside the vehicle cabin at a comfortable level for the occupants while ensuring a sufficient driving distance for the electric vehicle using a charged battery. In particular, the air conditioning control unit 20a according to the first embodiment can suggest changing the air conditioning temperature to occupants who board a vehicle midway, such as in a shared car or taxi. By providing the suggestion information, it becomes possible to proactively change or adjust the air conditioning temperature, even in cases where it is difficult to ask for a change in the air conditioning temperature or where the perceived temperature varies from person to person. This allows the occupants to enjoy a comfortable vehicle cabin space without having to endure excessive heat. Furthermore, for example, in the case of elderly occupants, presenting suggestion information that the air conditioning temperature can be changed makes it easier for them to change the air conditioning temperature, thereby preventing heatstroke due to high temperatures and heat shock due to sudden temperature changes.
[0045] For example, for a passenger who boards the car later, the heating or cooling capacity can be increased for a predetermined period (e.g., 10 minutes) after the passenger boards the car, and then the operating mode is changed back to normal after the predetermined period, thereby improving the passenger's comfort. An example of this is a situation where a driver is individually setting the air conditioning at 24°C during summer air conditioning operation (outside temperature 35°C) and a passenger boards the car midway through the journey. In this case, the seat of the passenger who boarded the car later was not individually air-conditioned, so the ambient temperature was, for example, about 29°C. However, since the passenger had been waiting in an outside temperature of, for example, 35°C, their skin temperature was close to 35°C and they might even be sweating. Therefore, by suggesting air conditioning control that increases the cooling capacity to quickly lower the passenger's body temperature after boarding, the passenger's comfort can be improved early. Another example is that elderly people, for example, have a reduced sensitivity to temperature and are more susceptible to heatstroke. Therefore, when an elderly person gets in the car, the system will suggest changing the air conditioning settings to achieve an appropriate temperature based on the target temperature estimated from the elderly person's temperature information and the current temperature inside the car, creating a safe space for the elderly.
[0046] (2) The vehicle air conditioner 1 according to the first embodiment includes an occupant temperature acquisition unit 23a that acquires temperature information of occupants, and the proposal information generation unit 24a can determine target temperature information based on the temperature information of occupants who have boarded the vehicle from outside. This allows the air conditioning settings to be dynamically set and changed individually and specifically according to the situation and state of the occupants who have boarded the vehicle from outside, thereby providing the optimal air conditioning environment for the occupants.
[0047] (3) In addition, in the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to the first embodiment, the proposal information generator 24a can determine target temperature information based on any preset temperature information. This allows, for example, the driver's preferred air conditioning temperature setting or the customer's preferred air conditioning temperature setting when accepting a taxi reservation to be stored and set as the target temperature for air conditioning control, thereby realizing detailed air conditioning proposals and temperature control tailored to the occupant's preferences and tastes.
[0048] (4) In addition, in the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to the first embodiment, the proposal information generator 24a can propose, as proposal information, one or more air conditioning settings with air conditioning capacities different from those in the normal mode of the air conditioning system 10. This allows, for example, a passenger who gets into the vehicle later to arbitrarily select a desired air conditioning setting from among the multiple pieces of proposal information.
[0049] (5) Furthermore, in the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to the first embodiment, the proposal information generator 24a can output the proposal information as predetermined display information and / or predetermined audio information. This allows occupants viewing the display to intuitively recognize and understand one or more pieces of proposal information through their eyes, enabling them to easily and quickly determine and operate air conditioning settings. Furthermore, occupants who hear audio information via a speaker or the like can recognize changes to air conditioning settings and proposals through audio, even if they are seated in the back seat and cannot see the display. This allows even occupants who find it difficult to ask for a change in the air conditioning temperature setting or who were unaware of the proposal information to reliably understand the proposal information and achieve a comfortable interior environment.
[0050] [Second Embodiment] Next, a second embodiment of the air conditioning control means 20 will be described with reference to Figures 6-8. Figure 6 is a functional block diagram showing the configuration of an air conditioning control means 20b according to the second embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the air conditioning control means 20b according to the second embodiment includes an entry detection unit 21b, a planned seat temperature acquisition unit 22b, a proposal information generation unit 24b, and an air conditioning control unit 25b.
[0051] The passenger detection unit 21b is a means for detecting that a person has boarded the vehicle from outside while the vehicle air conditioning system 10 is running. Specifically, the passenger detection unit 21b is capable of detecting that passengers are about to board or increase in passengers, for example, when it is determined from past driving history information and car navigation information (GPS information) that the vehicle is heading to pick up or drop off a family member, or when it is determined from taxi or shared car reservation information that a passenger will soon board the vehicle.
[0052] The entry detection unit 21b also predicts the space and seat location where the detected occupant will board, and the proposed information generation unit 24b (described later) generates proposed information for appropriate and precise air conditioning control for the planned seat. For example, if it is determined based on past driving history information, GPS information, etc. that the vehicle is heading to pick up or drop off a family member, it can predict that there will be a total of three occupants, one in the passenger seat, and two in the rear seats. Alternatively, based on taxi reservation information, it can predict that there will be one passenger and one in the right rear seat. This makes it possible to achieve appropriate air conditioning control for the planned seat of the occupant who will board the vehicle.
[0053] Furthermore, the entry detection unit 21b predicts the time until a person gets in from outside the vehicle, and the proposal information generation unit 24b (described later) generates proposal information for appropriate and accurate air conditioning control based on the predicted time. For example, if it is determined based on past driving history information, GPS information, etc. that the vehicle is heading to pick up or drop off a family member, the time until arrival and passenger boarding (e.g., "15 minutes remaining") can be predicted when the vehicle passes an intersection leading to the nearest station. Also, based on taxi reservation information, the time until arrival and passenger boarding (e.g., "30 minutes remaining") can be predicted when the vehicle heads toward the passenger's planned boarding address. This makes it possible to achieve appropriate air conditioning control based on the predicted time until passengers get in and the timing of boarding.
[0054] Here, the above-mentioned vehicle's past driving history information, car navigation information (GPS information), taxi and shared car reservation information, etc. can be stored and managed in a predetermined storage means of the information processing device constituting the air conditioning control means 20b, and can also be received by the air conditioning control means 20b via a network from mobile devices such as smartphones carried by occupants or taxi reservation systems. Based on this stored and received information, it becomes possible to determine whether or not an occupant has been detected by the boarding detection unit 21b, predict the seat position where the occupant will board, and estimate the time until the occupant boards. Based on this occupant detection information from the boarding detection unit 21b, it becomes possible to generate predetermined proposal information that proposes and implements comfortable air conditioning control for upcoming occupants.
[0055] The planned seat temperature acquisition unit 22b is a means for acquiring, from outside the vehicle, temperature information around the planned seat where the occupant will get in. Specifically, the planned seat temperature acquisition unit 22b inputs temperature information generated and acquired by the temperature sensor, thermography camera, etc. that constitute the sensor 13 described above, and monitors and grasps the ambient temperature of the space (planned seat) inside the vehicle where the occupant will get in, detected and predicted by the entry detection unit 21b.
[0056] The proposal information generator 24a is a means for comparing the temperature information around the intended seat with predetermined target temperature information and generating predetermined proposal information. Specifically, when the boarding detection unit 21b detects that a passenger is boarding from outside the vehicle, the proposal information generator 24b compares the temperature information around the intended seat where the passenger is expected to board and sit with predetermined target temperature information to calculate the temperature difference. If the calculated temperature difference is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, the proposal information generator 24b generates proposal information for adjusting the air conditioning settings of the air conditioning system 10 for the intended seat to make the temperature difference between the temperature information around the seat and the predetermined target temperature information equal to or less than a predetermined value. This allows the seat where the passenger will board and sit to be air-conditioned in advance (pre-air conditioning), so that the area around the intended seat can already be maintained in a comfortable temperature-controlled environment when the passenger actually boards the vehicle.
[0057] Here, the proposal information generator 24b can select and determine target temperature information based on any preset temperature information, and generate and output predetermined proposal information. Specifically, for example, by storing and setting the driver's preferred air conditioning temperature setting or the customer's preferred air conditioning temperature setting when accepting a taxi or shared car reservation as target temperature information in advance, the proposal information generator 24b can select and extract any temperature information from the one or more set temperature information and set it as the target temperature information. This is the same as the proposal information generator 24a according to the first embodiment described above, and therefore a detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0058] Furthermore, the proposal information generator 24b of this embodiment can propose, as the proposal information, one or more operation modes in descending order of power consumption for the air conditioning settings of the air conditioning system 10. In particular, the proposal information generator 24b can propose, as the proposal information, one or more operation modes in descending order of power consumption for the air conditioning settings of the air conditioning system 10 in which the temperature information around the planned seat becomes the target temperature information within the time from outside the vehicle until a person gets into the vehicle.
[0059] The air conditioning settings of the air conditioning system 10 have different power consumption depending on the multiple operating modes (controls 1-3) described above, with the operating modes that can reach the target temperature in a shorter time requiring more power consumption requiring more power. Therefore, by estimating and predicting the power consumption of each operating mode, ranging from an operating mode that can reach the target temperature in a short time within the time it takes for passengers to get in the vehicle to an operating mode that takes longer but can reach the target temperature by the time passengers get in, for example, it is possible to generate proposal information that lists one or more operating modes in order of least power consumption (see FIG. 8 ).
[0060] Furthermore, in addition to power consumption, it is possible to add factors such as the distance and time until the passenger boards the vehicle to make the proposal (see Figure 8). This allows for the presentation of multiple proposals with different power consumption (low / high) depending on the time until the new passenger boards the vehicle when pre-conditioning the seats where the passenger is scheduled to board, enabling the driver to select a more appropriate air conditioning setting in relation to the vehicle's cruising range, for example.
[0061] By presenting multiple suggested air conditioning settings based on factors such as power consumption and the passenger's planned boarding time, it is possible to select and determine appropriate air conditioning settings for an air-conditioned space that will reduce power consumption from the time the individual air conditioning is activated until the target temperature is reached, for example, when a new passenger boards the vehicle. Furthermore, after the planned seat reaches the target temperature, the added air-conditioned space can be air-conditioned in individual air conditioning mode in the same way as other air-conditioned spaces, thereby reducing power consumption and individually optimizing and improving comfort for each space and seat.
[0062] The proposal information generator 24b can also output the generated proposal information as predetermined display information and / or predetermined audio information. This is similar to the proposal information generator 24a according to the first embodiment described above, and therefore a detailed description thereof will be omitted. The air conditioning control unit 25b is a means for controlling the air conditioning system based on the proposal information generated by the proposal information generator 24b. This is also similar to the air conditioning control unit 25a according to the first embodiment described above, and therefore a detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0063] Next, an example of a specific control process for the air conditioning system 10 by the air conditioning control unit 20b according to the second embodiment configured as described above will be described with reference to FIG. 7 . FIG. 7 is a flowchart showing the control process for the air conditioning system 10 by the air conditioning control unit 20b according to the second embodiment. As shown in FIG. 7 , when an occupant is detected in any space within the vehicle cabin (S701), the air-conditioned space in which the occupant is riding is determined (S702), and individual air conditioning is performed (S703). Here, as in the first embodiment, it is assumed that a single driver is detected, and individual air conditioning for that single driver is performed and operated. Thereafter, until an additional occupant is added (S704: No), only individual air conditioning for the space in which the occupant is riding is performed.
[0064] Then, for example, if a new or additional passenger is detected based on past driving history information or taxi reservation information (S704: Yes), the seat where the passenger is scheduled to board is predicted and determined as an additional air-conditioned space (S705). Next, once the air-conditioned space is determined, first, a: temperature information for the added air-conditioned space is acquired (S706), and b: target temperature information to be compared with the temperature of the air-conditioned space is acquired (S707). As described above, the target temperature is extracted and determined based on any temperature information preset in accordance with, for example, the passenger's preferences. Then, c: the temperature difference between the current ambient temperature of the scheduled seat and the target temperature is calculated from the temperature information acquired in a and b (S708).
[0065] If the temperature difference between the ambient temperature of the planned seat and the target temperature is less than a predetermined value (here, ±5°C) (S709: No), no suggested information about air conditioning is generated, and individual air conditioning operation for the added planned seat space is started (S710). On the other hand, if the temperature difference between the ambient temperature of the planned seat and the target temperature is greater than or equal to a predetermined value (±5°C) (S709: Yes), suggested information about air conditioning settings is generated. Specifically, for example, an air conditioning means (see Control 1-3) that can achieve the target temperature is selected (S711), the power consumption of each set air conditioning means is estimated (S712), and the air conditioning means are suggested in order of lowest power consumption (S713).
[0066] The proposed information is output and displayed, for example, on a display panel of the operation unit 14 of the air conditioning system 10, and the proposed content is also output and announced aloud via a speaker. FIG. 8 schematically shows an example of proposed information generated and output by the air conditioning control means 20b according to the second embodiment. FIG. 8(a) shows an example of a case where multiple air conditioning means are proposed solely from the perspective of "power consumption," in which "operation modes 1-3" are displayed selectably in order of lowest power consumption via the display of the operation unit 14, and air conditioning is performed in the selected operation mode in response to manual operation of the operation unit 14 by the driver or the like.
[0067] 8(b) is an example of a case where multiple air conditioning means are proposed taking into consideration not only "power consumption" but also "time until passengers board the vehicle," and "operation modes 1-3" are displayed selectably in order of lowest power consumption via the display of the operation unit 14, and the "air conditioning time" until the target temperature is reached for each operation mode is also displayed. In this example, since the scheduled boarding time is "7 minutes later," "operation mode 1" has an air conditioning time of "10 minutes" until the target temperature is reached, and is therefore displayed as grayed out, for example, so that it cannot be selected.
[0068] Then, when an air conditioning unit is selected in accordance with the suggested information, for example, by operating the display panel or operation buttons of the operation unit 14, the selected air conditioning unit performs individual air conditioning for the occupant's intended seat space (S714). Thereafter, the selected air conditioning unit performs air conditioning until the temperature difference between the ambient temperature of the intended seat and the target temperature falls below a predetermined value (±3°C) (S715: No). When the temperature difference with the target temperature reaches the predetermined value (±3°C), the same individual air conditioning operation as for the other seats is initiated for the intended seat (S716), and the intended occupant enters the seat at that time (S717). Note that the start of individual air conditioning upon reaching the target temperature for the intended seat (S716) and the occupant entering the seat (S717) may occur approximately simultaneously or around the same time. There is no particular problem even if the individual air conditioning is initiated upon reaching the target temperature for the intended seat after the intended occupant has entered the seat.
[0069] As described above, the vehicle air conditioner 1 including the air conditioning control means 20b according to the second embodiment can achieve the following effects. (1) That is, the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to the second embodiment is a vehicle air conditioner 1 including an air conditioning system 10 capable of providing air conditioning for each occupant, and can include an entry detection unit 21b that detects when a person enters the vehicle from outside while the air conditioning system 10 is running, an intended seat temperature acquisition unit 22b that acquires temperature information around the intended seat where the person is to enter from outside the vehicle, a proposal information generation unit 24b that compares the temperature information around the intended seat with predetermined target temperature information and, if the temperature difference is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, generates predetermined proposal information for setting the air conditioning setting of the air conditioning system 10 for the intended seat where the person is to enter from outside the vehicle so that the temperature difference between the temperature information around the intended seat and the predetermined target temperature information is equal to or less than a predetermined value, and an air conditioning control unit 25b that controls the air conditioning system 10 based on the proposal information.
[0070] As a result, as in the first embodiment described above, it is possible to maintain and control the temperature inside the vehicle cabin at a comfortable level for the occupants while ensuring a sufficient driving distance for the electric vehicle using a charged battery. In particular, the air conditioning control means 20b according to the second embodiment makes it possible to predict the timing of entry and perform pre-air conditioning (pre-AC) for the seats of occupants who will board the vehicle midway, for example, when driving a family member, sharing a car, or taking a taxi. This makes it possible to improve the comfort of the occupants when they board the vehicle while suppressing the increase in power consumption caused by air conditioning performed before people from outside the vehicle board, and allows the occupants who board later to enjoy the same comfortable air-conditioned environment as the occupants already in the vehicle from the moment they board.
[0071] (2) Furthermore, in the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to the second embodiment, the proposal information generator 24b can propose, as proposal information, one or more operating modes in ascending order of power consumption for the air conditioning settings of the air conditioning system 10. This makes it possible to present multiple pieces of proposal information in terms of power consumption when pre-conditioning the seat where the passenger is scheduled to board. For example, it becomes possible for the driver of the vehicle to select an appropriate air conditioning setting in relation to the vehicle's cruising range.
[0072] (3) Furthermore, in the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to the second embodiment, the entry detection unit 21b predicts the time until a person enters the vehicle from outside the vehicle, and the proposal information generation unit 24b can propose, as proposal information, one or more operating modes in ascending order of power consumption for the air conditioning settings of the air conditioning system 10 that will make the temperature information around the intended seat become the target temperature information within the time until the person enters the vehicle from outside the vehicle. As a result, when pre-conditioning the intended seat, multiple pieces of proposal information with different power consumptions can be presented depending on the time until the new occupant enters the vehicle, and it becomes possible, for example, for the driver of the vehicle to select a more appropriate air conditioning setting in relation to the vehicle's cruising range.
[0073] (4) Furthermore, in the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to the second embodiment, the proposal information generator 24b can output the proposal information as predetermined display information and / or predetermined audio information. As a result, similar to the first embodiment, the occupant can reliably recognize and understand one or more pieces of proposal information about air conditioning control via a display, a speaker, or the like, and a comfortable interior environment based on the selected proposal information can be realized.
[0074] [Third Embodiment] Next, a third embodiment of the air conditioning control means 20 will be described with reference to Figures 9-11. Figure 9 is a functional block diagram showing the configuration of an air conditioning control means 20c according to the third embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the air conditioning control means 20c according to the third embodiment includes a baggage detection unit 21c, a baggage space temperature acquisition unit 22c, a baggage temperature acquisition unit 23c, a proposal information generation unit 24c, and an air conditioning control unit 25c.
[0075] The luggage detection unit 21c is a means for detecting luggage in the vehicle interior space. Specifically, the luggage detection unit 21c receives objective signals and luggage information generated and acquired by the weight sensor and the interior camera constituting the sensor 13, and constantly monitors and grasps the presence and temperature of luggage in each space (seat) in the vehicle interior.
[0076] The luggage space temperature acquisition unit 22c is a means for acquiring temperature information of the space where the luggage detected by the luggage detection unit 21c is placed. Specifically, the luggage space temperature acquisition unit 22c inputs temperature information generated and acquired by the temperature sensor, thermographic camera, etc. constituting the sensor 13 described above, and constantly monitors and grasps the temperature of the space (seat) in the vehicle interior where the luggage detected by the luggage detection unit 21c is placed.
[0077] The luggage temperature acquisition unit 23c is a means for acquiring temperature information of luggage placed in spaces within the vehicle cabin. Specifically, the luggage temperature acquisition unit 23c inputs temperature information generated and acquired by the temperature sensor, thermographic camera, etc. that constitute the sensor 13 described above, and is configured to constantly monitor and grasp the surface temperature of luggage placed in each space (seat) within the vehicle cabin.
[0078] When the luggage detection unit 21c detects that luggage brought into the vehicle has been placed on one of the seats in the vehicle interior, the proposal information generation unit 2c compares the temperature information of the vehicle interior (seat) where the luggage is placed, acquired by the luggage space temperature acquisition unit 22c, with predetermined target temperature information, and generates predetermined proposal information. Specifically, when luggage is detected in the vehicle interior, the proposal information generation unit 24c compares the temperature information of the space where the luggage is placed (the ambient temperature of the seat) with predetermined target temperature information and calculates a temperature difference. If the calculated temperature difference is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, the proposal information generation unit 24c generates proposal information for adjusting the air conditioning settings of the air conditioning system 10 for the seat where the luggage was brought into the vehicle so that the temperature difference between the temperature information of the vehicle interior where the luggage was placed and the predetermined target temperature information is equal to or less than a predetermined value. For example, the proposal information generation unit 24c can determine target temperature information based on the temperature information of the luggage placed in the vehicle interior, and generate and output predetermined proposal information.
[0079] More specifically, when luggage placed inside the vehicle is detected, the proposal information generator 24c estimates and determines the target temperature to be set for the seat where the luggage is placed based on the luggage temperature information acquired and output by the luggage temperature acquisition unit 23c. For example, when a container or package containing ice cream or frozen food is brought into the vehicle in summer, the proposal information generator 24c estimates and determines a temperature (e.g., 20°C) lower than the temperature (e.g., 25°C) already set for the individual air conditioning of the driver, compares the target temperature with the temperature (ambient temperature) of the space where the luggage is placed, and calculates the temperature difference. If the temperature difference is equal to or greater than a predetermined value (e.g., 1°C), the proposal information generator 24c selects an operating mode (e.g., the aforementioned "Control 2") that can reach the target temperature for the individual air conditioning of the space where the luggage is placed (see FIG. 11(a)).
[0080] In this case, the proposed information generator 24c of the present embodiment can propose, as the proposed information, one or more air conditioning settings that have little impact on the comfort of the occupants with regard to the air conditioning settings of the air conditioning system 10. Furthermore, the proposed information generator 24c can propose, as the proposed information, a luggage placement that has little impact on the comfort of the occupants (see FIG. 11B).
[0081] The air conditioning settings of the air conditioning system 10 vary in power consumption depending on the multiple operating modes (controls 1-3) described above. For example, if the luggage in the air-conditioned space contains cold items such as ice cream or frozen foods, an operating mode with higher air conditioning capacity (cooler) that can adjust the temperature to a lower temperature in a shorter time is preferable. On the other hand, if the luggage contains warm items such as takeout food or prepared foods, an operating mode with higher air conditioning capacity (warmer) that can adjust the temperature to a higher temperature in a shorter time is preferable. On the other hand, if the luggage space is individually air-conditioned using such an operating mode with high air conditioning capacity, the air conditioning may affect the adjacent space or the seats behind it, for example, which could reduce the comfort of the occupants, making them feel too cold or too hot.
[0082] Therefore, when proposing and implementing air conditioning settings for a space where luggage brought into the vehicle is placed, one or more air conditioning settings that have little impact on occupant comfort or a luggage placement that has little impact on occupant comfort can be proposed (see FIG. 8 ). For example, if the space where the luggage is placed is the passenger seat next to the driver's seat, one or more air conditioning settings can be selected and proposed that are different from the set temperature of the individual air conditioning for the driver's seat by a predetermined value (e.g., ±5°C). Furthermore, if the space where the luggage is placed is the passenger seat next to the driver's seat, a space as far away from the driver's seat as possible can be selected and proposed as the luggage placement space, such as the passenger seat side of the rear seat or the rearmost seat in a three-row seat system.
[0083] The proposal information generator 24c can also output the generated proposal information as predetermined display information and / or predetermined audio information. This is similar to the proposal information generator 24a according to the first embodiment described above, and therefore a detailed description thereof will be omitted. The air conditioning control unit 25c is a means for controlling the air conditioning system based on the proposal information generated by the proposal information generator 24c. This is also similar to the air conditioning control unit 25a according to the first embodiment described above, and therefore a detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0084] Next, an example of a specific control process for the air conditioning system 10 by the air conditioning control unit 20c according to the third embodiment configured as described above will be described with reference to FIG. 10 . FIG. 10 is a flowchart showing the control process for the air conditioning system 10 by the air conditioning control unit 20c according to the third embodiment. As shown in FIG. 10 , when an occupant is detected in any space within the vehicle cabin (S1001), the air-conditioned space in which the occupant is riding is determined (S1002), and individual air conditioning is performed (S1003). Here, as in the first embodiment, it is assumed that a single driver is detected, and individual air conditioning for the driver is performed and operated. Thereafter, until luggage (or an occupant) is detected in another space within the vehicle cabin and the number of temperature-controlled spaces increases (S1004: No), only individual air conditioning for the space in which the occupant is riding is performed.
[0085] Then, when an increase in the number of temperature control targets due to new luggage or passengers is detected (S1004: Yes), the detected temperature control target is evaluated to determine whether the new target is luggage or a person (S1005). For example, an image evaluation using an in-vehicle camera or a thermographic camera is used to determine whether the new target is luggage or a person. Here, a case where the new target is determined to be luggage will be described. Note that if the new target is determined to be a person (passenger), the air conditioning control of the first embodiment described above can be executed.
[0086] If the target of temperature control is determined to be luggage, the space (seat) where the luggage is placed is detected and determined as the target space for temperature control (S1006). Next, a: the current temperature (surface temperature) of the luggage to be temperature controlled is acquired (S1007), and b: the temperature (ambient temperature) of the seat where the luggage is placed, which is the target space for air conditioning, is acquired (S1008). After that, c: the temperature difference between the target temperature for temperature control (luggage) and the temperature in the vehicle cabin around the seat where the luggage is placed is calculated from the temperature information acquired in a and b (S1009).
[0087] If the temperature difference between the temperature of the luggage and the temperature of the space in which the luggage is placed is less than a predetermined value (here, ±1°C) (S1010: No), it is determined that temperature control for the luggage is unnecessary (S1011), and individual air conditioning is not performed for the space in which the luggage is placed. On the other hand, if the temperature difference between the temperature of the luggage and the temperature of the space in which the luggage is placed is greater than or equal to a predetermined value (±1°C) (S1010: Yes), proposal information for temperature control for the luggage space is generated.
[0088] Specifically, first, the temperature control range for the luggage space by the air conditioning means (see Control 1-3) is estimated and determined (S1012). For example, if the air conditioning means with the highest temperature control capacity (e.g., Control 2) is used, the temperature control range is estimated and determined to be "±5°C." Next, the target temperature to be controlled is estimated and determined based on the temperature control range by the air conditioning means and the current temperature of the luggage to be controlled (S1013).
[0089] For example, if the temperature control target is cold luggage with a surface temperature of -5°C and the passenger space is controlled to a target temperature of 25°C, the air conditioning means with the highest temperature control capability (e.g., control 2) will estimate and determine the target temperature for the luggage space to be 20°C. Next, an air conditioning means (see control 1-3) that can achieve the determined target temperature is selected (S1014), and the power consumption of each set air conditioning means is estimated, and air conditioning means are proposed in order of lowest power consumption (S1015).
[0090] As in the first and second embodiments described above, the proposed information is output and displayed on, for example, the display panel of the operation unit 14 of the air conditioning system 10, and the proposed content is also output and announced aloud via a speaker. Fig. 11 schematically shows an example of proposed information generated and output by the air conditioning control unit 20c according to the third embodiment. Fig. 11(a) shows proposed information that suggests the temperature control range and a place to place luggage. First, proposed information is displayed, along with information on the positions of occupants and luggage in the vehicle cabin, including the air conditioning status for the current occupant (driver's seat) (operating mode: cooling; target temperature: 25°C) and the temperature control of the luggage that can be performed (luggage temperature: -5°C; Yes / No).
[0091] Thereafter, when temperature control of the luggage is selected (by pressing "Yes"), the proposed information screen changes, presenting the luggage temperature and the settable target temperature, and presenting selectable options for whether to start temperature control (Yes / No) and whether to suggest a luggage placement location (placement proposal). From this state, when placement location proposal is selected (by pressing "placement proposal"), the proposed information screen changes, and the placement location proposal information shown in FIG. 11(b) is displayed. For example, multiple placements (placement 1, placement 2, placement 3) are proposed and displayed as selectable locations (seats) where luggage can be placed, in order of lowest power consumption, i.e., highest settable temperature.
[0092] Here, for example, if "Layout 3" is selected, the layout location is displayed with the other layouts "Layout 1" and "Layout 2" grayed out, and the settable temperature (15°C) for the selected "Layout 3" is displayed. The user is then presented with a choice of whether to control the temperature for the selected layout (Yes / No). Then, for example, by operating the display panel or operation buttons of the operation unit 14, the user selects temperature control for the luggage space in accordance with the suggested information. Individual air conditioning for the space containing the luggage is then performed according to the selected settings (S1016). This allows proactive individual air conditioning for luggage placed in an unoccupied seat to be performed to maintain a temperature appropriate for the luggage as much as possible without compromising the passenger's comfort. This allows the condition and quality of the luggage to be maintained and extended, for example, by keeping the luggage cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
[0093] As described above, the vehicle air conditioner 1 including the air conditioning control means 20c according to the third embodiment can achieve the following effects. (1) That is, the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to the third embodiment is a vehicle air conditioner 1 including an air conditioning system 10 capable of dividing a vehicle interior space into multiple spaces and providing air conditioning, and can include a luggage detection unit 21c that detects luggage in the vehicle interior space, a luggage space temperature acquisition unit 22c that acquires temperature information of the space in which the detected luggage is located, a proposal information generation unit 24c that, when luggage is detected in the vehicle interior space and the air conditioning system 10 controls the vehicle interior space where an occupant is present based on an air conditioning target temperature for the occupant, compares the temperature information of the space in which the luggage is located with predetermined target temperature information, and, if the temperature difference is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, generates predetermined proposal information for setting the air conditioning setting of the air conditioning system 10 for the space in which the luggage is located so that the temperature difference between the temperature information of the space in which the luggage is located and the predetermined target temperature information is equal to or less than a predetermined value, and an air conditioning control unit 25c that controls the air conditioning system 10 based on the proposal information.
[0094] As a result, as in the first and second embodiments described above, it is possible to maintain and control the temperature inside the vehicle cabin at a comfortable level for the occupants while ensuring a sufficient driving distance for the electric vehicle using a charged battery. In particular, the air conditioning control means 20c according to the third embodiment can actively perform individual air conditioning for a space or seat in the vehicle cabin where luggage is placed, even if the space is unoccupied, to maintain a temperature as close to the luggage temperature as possible without compromising the comfort of the occupants. This makes it possible to achieve temperature control that is suitable for, for example, cold luggage in the summer and warm luggage in the winter. As a result, the temperature of the luggage can be controlled within a range that does not affect the comfort of the occupants, thereby preserving and extending the merchantability of the luggage as much as possible.
[0095] (2) The vehicle air conditioner 1 according to the third embodiment includes a luggage temperature acquisition unit 23c that acquires temperature information about luggage placed in a space, and the proposal information generation unit 24c can determine target temperature information based on the luggage temperature information. This allows the air conditioning settings to be dynamically set and changed individually and specifically according to the situation and state of luggage brought in from outside the vehicle, thereby providing a more appropriate air-conditioned environment for the luggage.
[0096] (3) In addition, in the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to the third embodiment, the proposal information generator 24c can propose one or more air conditioning settings that have little impact on occupant comfort as proposal information. This allows multiple pieces of proposal information to be presented from the perspective of occupant comfort when air conditioning is performed on luggage brought in from outside the vehicle, and allows the occupant to select an appropriate air conditioning setting that takes into account both temperature control for the luggage and occupant comfort.
[0097] (4) Furthermore, in the vehicle air conditioning system 1 according to the third embodiment, the proposal information generator 24c can propose, as proposal information, a luggage placement that minimizes the impact on occupant comfort. This allows the system to present luggage placement locations and available seats from the perspective of occupant comfort when performing air conditioning on luggage brought in from outside the vehicle, enabling the occupant to select a more appropriate air conditioning setting that takes into account the temperature control for the luggage and the occupant's comfort. The individual air conditioning of luggage by the vehicle air conditioning system 1 according to the third embodiment controls the temperature of the luggage to be controlled within a range that does not affect occupant comfort, so there are certain limits and restrictions on the temperature range that can be controlled.
[0098] For example, if a frozen item is placed on the passenger seat in winter, it is desirable to avoid heating the frozen item as much as possible, but the ambient temperature of the driver's seat cannot be raised, which may result in a loss of comfort. Also, if a frozen item is placed on the passenger seat in summer, the ambient temperature of the driver's seat may become too low, which may result in a loss of comfort. Therefore, by suggesting that the luggage be placed in a location that does not affect the air conditioning in the space where the passengers are located, it is possible to expand the temperature range in which the luggage can be heated while maintaining comfort.
[0099] (5) Furthermore, in the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to the third embodiment, the proposal information generator 24c can output the proposal information as predetermined display information and / or predetermined audio information. As a result, as in the first and second embodiments, the occupant can reliably recognize and understand one or more pieces of proposal information about air conditioning control via a display, a speaker, or the like, and a comfortable interior environment based on the selected proposal information can be realized.
[0100] The air conditioning control means 20 of the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention described above can be realized by processes, means, and functions executed by a computer in accordance with instructions from a program (software), together with or instead of a physical electrical circuit. The program sends commands to each component of the computer, causing the air conditioning control means 20 to perform the predetermined processes, functions, and the like according to the present invention. Therefore, each process, means, and function of the air conditioning control means 20 according to the present invention can be realized by specific means in which the program and the computer work together.
[0101] Here, all or part of the program may be provided on a computer-readable recording medium, such as a magnetic disk, optical disk, semiconductor memory, or any other suitable medium. The program is read from the recording medium and installed on a computer for execution. Alternatively, the program may be loaded directly into a computer via a communication line and executed without using a recording medium. The computer that executes the processing and functions of the air-conditioning control means 20 according to the present invention may be configured as a single information processing device, or may be configured as multiple information processing devices.
[0102] Specifically, the information processing device constituting the air-conditioning control means 20 according to the present invention is composed of hardware including, for example, a CPU 301, RAM 302, ROM 303, HDD 304, input device 305, display device (display) 306, and communication IF 307, as shown in FIG. 12 . These components are connected via a system bus, through which data is exchanged. The CPU (Central Processing Unit) 301, also known as the central processing unit, is the central processing unit of the computer, controlling each device and calculating and processing data. The RAM (Random Access Memory) 302 is a type of memory device that allows data to be erased and rewritten. The ROM (Read Only Memory) 303 is a type of memory device that uses semiconductors or the like. Data can be written only once during manufacturing and can only be read when used. The HDD (Hard Disk Drive) 304 is an auxiliary storage device that uses the properties of magnetic materials to record and read information. The input device 305 is used by the user to give operating instructions to the computer or to input characters, etc., and is composed of, for example, a touch panel or operation buttons that function as the operation unit 14 of the air conditioning system 10 described above. The display device 306 is composed of, for example, a liquid crystal display that functions as the operation unit 14 of the air conditioning system 10 described above. The input device 305 and the display device 306 may be configured separately, or they may be configured as an integrated touch panel device. The device may also be provided with a communication function (communication IF 307) that enables communication with other terminals, information processing devices, etc. The communication IF (Interface) is a device for communicating with other devices in accordance with a predetermined communication standard, and includes, for example, a NIC (Network Interface Card).
[0103] As described above, the vehicle air conditioner 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention dynamically determines whether or not temperature control is necessary in the vehicle cabin, regardless of whether an occupant is present, thereby enabling the vehicle cabin to be constantly maintained in a comfortable temperature-controlled environment. This makes it possible to maintain the vehicle cabin in a comfortable state for the occupants while ensuring the maximum possible driving distance on the battery of the electric vehicle, something that could not be achieved with conventional individual air conditioning systems. Furthermore, it is also possible to appropriately control the temperature for luggage, etc. Therefore, it is possible to provide an air conditioner that is comfortable, convenient, and reliable for electric vehicle users.
[0104] Although the present invention has been described above with reference to preferred embodiments, it goes without saying that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments and various modifications are possible within the scope of the present invention. For example, in the above-described embodiments, the first, second, and third embodiments of the air conditioning control means 20 are described as being configured and controlled independently of each other. However, these embodiments can also be realized by combining some or all of them in any combination. Specifically, in addition to the individual air conditioning according to the occupant's body temperature or preferred temperature shown in the first embodiment, pre-air conditioning (pre-air conditioning) of the intended passenger space shown in the second embodiment can be performed. Furthermore, in addition to the individual air conditioning control of the first and second embodiments, individual air conditioning of luggage placed on an empty seat shown in the third embodiment can also be performed.
[0105] Furthermore, in the above-described embodiment, an electric vehicle (EV) has been described as an example of a vehicle to which the vehicle air conditioning system of the present invention is applied, but the application of the present invention is not necessarily limited to electric vehicles. From the viewpoint of ensuring a cruising range while providing comfortable air conditioning control, it is preferable to apply the present invention to electric vehicles. However, in terms of always controlling the air conditioning system to a state and temperature that is comfortable for the occupants, the present invention is not limited to electric vehicles and can also be applied to engine-powered vehicles. In other words, the present invention can be applied to any type and structure of vehicle that is equipped with an air conditioning system and is desired to provide comfortable air conditioning and temperature control for the occupants.
[0106] The present invention can be suitably used as a vehicle air conditioner that controls an air conditioning system mounted on a vehicle such as an electric vehicle (EV) powered by an electrically driven motor.
