Description

Rotating electric machine stator

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a stator for a rotating electric machine.

[0002] 2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, rotating electrical machines for driving vehicles have become increasingly smaller and have higher output, and some of them have stator windings formed using stator coils made of rectangular wires having a rectangular cross section. The following Patent Document 1 describes a stator for a rotating electric machine in which six or more slot conductors are inserted into one slot, in which jumper wires connecting circular windings at different radial positions cross the slots at at least two or more different slot pitches, and the different slot pitches of the jumper wires are N+1 slot pitch and (N+1)±1 slot pitch, where N is defined as the number of slots per pole, and the stator has a plurality of slot conductor groups each made up of a plurality of winding conductors of the same phase, and the plurality of winding conductors making up the slot conductor group are inserted into a predetermined number Ns of slots lined up continuously in the circumferential direction of the stator core so that the slots and layers are adjacent to each other, and when the number of slots per phase per pole is defined as NSPP and the number of jumper wires per phase at (N+1)±1 slot pitch is defined as 2×NJ, the predetermined number Ns is set to satisfy the equation "Ns = NSPP + NJ".

[0003] In the technology described in Patent No. 6513831, when connecting segment coils in a wave winding on a stator core, jumper wires are used to connect the segment coils. This increases the number of parts required due to the use of jumper wires, and also creates the need for a part installation process, resulting in problems such as reduced productivity of the stator coil.

[0004] The technology of the present disclosure provides a stator that can improve the productivity of wave-wound stator coils even when segment coils are used.

[0005] A first aspect of the technology of the present disclosure comprises a stator core having a plurality of slots, and segment coils made of flat wire with a rectangular cross section and inserted into different slots spaced apart in the circumferential direction of the stator core, with joint ends protruding from the slots on the side opposite to the inserted side being joined to joint ends of other segment coils in a wave winding along the circumferential direction, thereby forming a stator coil electrically connected, and when the number of slots per pole per phase, which is the value obtained by dividing the number of slots by the number of magnetic poles of a rotor rotating relative to the stator core and the number of phases of AC generated in the stator coil, is 2, In this stator for a rotating electric machine, when the magnetic pole pitch, which is the value obtained by dividing the number of slots by the number of magnetic poles of the rotor, is P, and the difference between the slot pitch, which is the pitch of the slot on the side where the segment coil is inserted, and the magnetic pole pitch is k, one of the slot pitches on the insertion side at the outermost or innermost circumference of the stator core is P+1 and the other is P-1, and one of the slot pitches on the insertion side at the intermediate layer between the outermost and innermost layers of the stator core, or the pitch of the slot on the side where the joint ends that are joined to each other protrude, is P+k and the other is P-k.

[0006] A second aspect of the technology disclosed herein is a stator for a rotating electric machine according to the first aspect, in which, in the wave winding of the stator coil, adjacent segment coils of the same phase in the radial direction are arranged at positions shifted by a slot pitch of k from each other.

[0007] A third aspect according to the technique of the present disclosure is the stator of the rotating electric machine according to the second aspect, in which the wave winding is k<P.

[0008] A fourth aspect according to the technique of the present disclosure is the stator of the rotating electric machine according to the first aspect, in which the wave winding in the stator coil is full-pitch winding, and k=0.

[0009] The technology of the present disclosure provides a stator that can improve the productivity of wave-wound stator coils even when segment coils are used.

FIG. 7 is a diagram showing an example of stator coil wiring according to an embodiment.

[0011] First Embodiment A stator 10 (hereinafter simply referred to as the "stator 10") for a rotating electric machine according to a first embodiment will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5. Note that in each drawing, some reference numerals may be omitted for clarity. As shown in FIG. 1, the stator 10 according to this embodiment includes a stator core 12 and a stator coil 19. The stator 10, together with a rotor (not shown), constitutes a three-phase AC rotating electric machine. Note that in FIG. 1, arrows Z, A, and D indicate the circumferential direction, axial direction, and radial direction of the stator core 12, respectively. Hereinafter, the circumferential direction of the stator core 12 may be simply referred to as the "circumferential direction," the axial direction of the stator core 12 may be simply referred to as the "axial direction," and the radial direction of the stator core 12 may be simply referred to as the "radial direction."

[0012] The stator core 12 is formed into a cylindrical shape by laminating a large number of electromagnetic steel plates. The stator core 12 has a yoke 14, a large number of teeth 16, and a plurality of slots 18. The large number of teeth 16 and the plurality of slots 18 are formed on the inner periphery of the stator core 12, alternately arranged in the circumferential direction. The plurality of slots 18 are open on both axial sides and radially inward.

[0013] As shown in Figure 2, the stator coil 19 is composed of a plurality of segment coils 20. The segment coils 20 are formed by shaping flat wire made of copper or the like with a rectangular cross section into a generally U-shape. Each segment coil 20 has a pair of slot insertion portions 22 extending parallel to each other, a coil end portion 24 connecting one end of each of the pair of slot insertion portions 22, and a pair of lead portions 26 extending from the other end of each of the pair of slot insertion portions 22. The segment coil 20 is covered with an insulating coating except for the tip ends of the pair of lead portions 26. The pair of lead portions 26 are an example of a "joint end portion" according to the technology disclosed herein.

[0014] A pair of slot insertion portions 22 are inserted from one axial side into different slots 18 spaced apart in the circumferential direction of the stator core 12. The coil end portions 24 are disposed outside the slots 18 on one axial side of the stator core 12 and connect one end of each pair of slot insertion portions 22 to each other in the circumferential direction. As shown in FIG. 1 , a large number of segment coils 20 are stacked in multiple layers in the radial direction of the stator core 12 and aligned in an annular shape. A pair of lead portions 26 of each segment coil 20 protrudes from the end face on the other axial side of the stator core 12. These lead portions 26 are twisted and joined to the lead portions 26 of other segment coils 20.

[0015] In the following description, the side of the stator core 12 where the coil end portions 24 of the segment coils 20 are located will be referred to as the turn side, and the side of the stator core 12 where the lead portions 26 of the segment coils 20 are located will be referred to as the welding side. Note that the method of joining the lead portions 26 together is not limited to welding, and other joining means (for example, ultrasonic welding, friction welding, mechanical fastening) may of course be used.

[0016] The segment coils 20 are so-called wave wound, that is, wound continuously around the entire circumference of the stator core 12. In other words, the segment coils 20 are arranged along the circumferential direction of the stator core 12 by wave winding, and the segment coils 20 are electrically connected to each other, thereby forming the stator coil 19.

[0017] As shown in Figure 3, the coil end portion 24 of the segment coil 20 is formed in a generally V- or U-shape when viewed in the radial direction. When viewed in the axial direction as shown in Figure 4, the coil end portion 24 is curved in a bow shape along the circumferential direction. The coil end portion 24 has two curved portions 24A extending along the circumferential direction when viewed in the axial direction, and a crank portion 24B located between and connecting the two curved portions 24A. The crank portion 24B is bent in a crank shape so that the two curved portions 24A are offset radially from each other by approximately the thickness of the rectangular wire.

[0018] 1, the multiple segment coils 20 form one layer by sequentially inserting the slot insertion portions 22 into the slots 18 of the stator core 12, shifting the slot insertion portions 22 one by one in the circumferential direction, to complete a full turn. In this embodiment, three layers of segment coils 20 are formed. The circumferential length of the segment coils 20 in each layer varies slightly depending on the radial position of each layer.

[0019] As shown in Fig. 4, in the stator coil 19 according to the comparative example, the segment coils 20 are connected in a wave winding. In Fig. 4, only the wiring of the segment coils 20 corresponding to one phase (for example, the U phase) of the three-phase AC flowing through the stator coil 19 is shown.

[0020] In addition, in the stator core 12, the number of slots per pole per phase, which is the value obtained by dividing the number of slots by the number of magnetic poles of the rotor and the number of phases of the AC generated in the stator coil 19, is set to 2. In the example shown in Fig. 4, the total number of slots is 48, and the number of magnetic poles is 8 for three-phase AC, so the number of slots per pole per phase is 2 (= 48 / (3 x 8)).

[0021] When the number of slots per pole per phase is two, in the stator coil 19 according to the comparative example, the slot pitch Ns is set to the same value as the magnetic pole pitch P. Here, this is the spacing between the slots 18 into which the segment coils 20 are inserted. Specifically, the slot pitch Ns is the number of slots 18 spanned by the segment coil 20. In other words, it is the number of slots 18 from the slot 18 next to the slot 18 into which one of the pair of slot insertion portions 22 of the segment coil 20 is inserted to the slot 18 into which the other is inserted. Furthermore, the magnetic pole pitch P is the value obtained by dividing the total number of slots by the number of magnetic poles of the rotor. In other words, the magnetic pole pitch P is the number of slots corresponding to one magnetic pole.

[0022] In the example shown in Figure 4, the total number of slots is 48, but the number of magnetic poles is 8 (i.e., 8 poles, 48 slots), so the magnetic pole pitch P = 6. That is, here, the slot pitch Ns = 6 (= magnetic pole pitch P) is set. As an example, the same segment coil 20 is inserted in slot number 1 of layer number 2 on the turn side and slot number 7 of layer number 1 on the turn side. That is, there are six slots 18 from slot number 2, which is next to slot number 1 in which the segment coil 20 is inserted, to slot number 7 in which the same segment coil 20 is inserted. In this way, the slot pitch Ns = 6.

[0023] In the stator coil 19 according to the comparative example, the slot pitch Ns is the same value as the magnetic pole pitch P in all of the outermost layer OL on the turn side, the innermost layer IL on the turn side, and the intermediate layer between the outermost layer OL and the innermost layer IL on the turn side.

[0024] Here, the outermost layer OL is a group of segment coils 20 (i.e., a group of segment coils) arranged at the outermost side in the radial direction in the multiple slots 18 of the stator core 12. The innermost layer IL is a group of segment coils 20 arranged at the innermost side in the radial direction in the multiple slots 18 of the stator core 12. Furthermore, the intermediate layer ML is a group of segment coils 20 arranged between the outermost layer OL and the innermost layer IL.

[0025] In the example shown in FIG. 4, the slot pitch Ns=6 in the outermost layer OL on the turn side, the innermost layer IL on the turn side, and the intermediate layer between the outermost layer OL and the innermost layer IL on the turn side.

[0026] Also, on the welding side, the slot pitch Ns has the same value as the magnetic pole pitch P. In the example shown in Fig. 4, the slot pitch Ns = 6 on the welding side.

[0027] In the stator coil 19 according to this comparative example, the segment coils 20 are inserted at the slot pitch Ns as described above, and the lead portions 26 of adjacent segment coils 20 are twisted and joined together. However, in this case, there are locations in the outermost and / or innermost layers on the welding side where the spacing between the segment coils 20 is wider than in other locations (i.e., the slot pitch is partially larger). For this reason, it is not possible to join the lead portions 26 together, and jumper wires are required to connect adjacent segment coils 20 together in the outermost and / or innermost layers.

[0028] In the example shown in Figure 4, slots No. 25 to No. 32 in the outermost layer on the welding side are connected by jumper wires. Similarly, slots No. 26 to No. 31 in the outermost layer on the welding side are connected by jumper wires. Alternatively, slots No. 31 to No. 38 in the innermost layer on the welding side are connected by jumper wires. Similarly, slots No. 32 to No. 37 in the innermost layer on the welding side are connected by jumper wires.

[0029] When the stator coil 19 is formed using jumper wires in this way, the number of parts increases, which may result in a decrease in ease of assembly and an increase in costs.

[0030] Therefore, after careful consideration, the inventors have come up with the idea that when the number of slots per pole per phase is two, by setting the relationship between the slot pitch Ns of the outermost layer OL, the innermost layer IL, and the middle layer ML on the turn side and the slot pitch Ns on the welding side to a predetermined condition, it is possible to realize wiring of the wave-wound stator coil 19 without using jumper wires.

[0031] 5, in the stator coil 19 according to this embodiment, on the turn side, the slot pitch Ns and the magnetic pole pitch P have the following relationship. That is, one of the slot pitch Ns of the outermost layer OL or the slot pitch Ns of the innermost layer IL is set to Ns=P+1, and the other is set to Ns=P-1. In other words, the slot pitch Ns of the outermost layer OL is set to P+1 and the slot pitch Ns of the innermost layer IL is set to P-1, or the slot pitch Ns of the outermost layer OL is set to P-1 and the slot pitch Ns of the innermost layer IL is set to P+1.

[0032] 5, there are 8 poles and 48 slots, so the magnetic pole pitch P is 6. The slot pitch Ns of the outermost layer OL is 7. As an example, the same segment coil 20 is inserted into slots with slot numbers 1 and 8 of the outermost layer on the turn side (i.e., layer No. 1).

[0033] The slot pitch Ns of the innermost layer IL is set to 5. As an example, the same segment coil 20 is inserted into the slots with slot numbers 20 and 25 of the innermost layer on the turn side (i.e., layer No. 8).

[0034] Furthermore, in the stator coil 19 according to this embodiment, the slot pitch Ns on the turn side and the slot pitch Ns on the welding side have the following relationship. That is, one of the slot pitch Ns of the intermediate layer ML on the turn side and the slot pitch Ns on the welding side is Ns = P + k, and the other is Ns = P - k. Here, k is the difference between the magnetic pole pitch P and the slot pitch Ns. When the wave winding is full-pitch winding, the magnetic pole pitch P and the slot pitch Ns are the same, so k = 0. In the example shown in FIG. 5, the slot pitch Ns of the intermediate layer ML is P + k. And, since it is full-pitch winding (k = 0), the slot pitch Ns of the intermediate layer ML is 6 (= P). Furthermore, the slot pitch Ns on the welding side is also 6 (= P).

[0035] In this way, when the number of slots per pole per phase in the stator coil 19 is two, the relationship between the slot pitch Ns of the outermost layer OL, the innermost layer IL, and the intermediate layer ML on the turn side and the slot pitch Ns on the welding side is set to a predetermined condition. By adjusting the slot pitch Ns in the outermost layer OL, the intermediate layer ML, and the innermost layer IL in relation to the magnetic pole pitch P, the start and end positions of the wave winding in the stator coil 19 can be aligned, eliminating the need for jumper wires. In other words, when joining segment coils 20 together using wave winding in the stator core 12, electrical connection can be achieved without using jumper wires. The example shown in Figure 5 illustrates an example in which segment coils 20 are arranged using wave winding without the connection using jumper wires as shown in Figure 4.

[0036] (Operations and Effects) As described above, in the stator core 12 according to this embodiment, when the number of slots per pole per phase is two, the magnetic pole pitch is P, and the difference between the slot pitch Ns, which is the pitch of the slot on the side where the segment coils 20 are inserted, and the magnetic pole pitch P is k, one of the slot pitches Ns in the outermost layer OL or the innermost layer IL is set to P+1, and the other is set to P-1. Furthermore, one of the slot pitch Ns in the middle layer ML or the slot pitch Ns on the welding side is set to P+k, and the other is set to P-k. In this way, by setting the relationship between the slot pitch Ns of the outermost layer OL, innermost layer IL, and middle layer ML on the turn side and the slot pitch Ns on the welding side to a predetermined condition, the wiring of the wave-wound stator coil 19 can be realized without using jumper wires.

[0037] For example, in the wave winding according to the comparative example shown in FIG. 4 , it is necessary to connect the segment coils 20 using jumper wires. In particular, when using jumper wires, jumper wires are generally required in the outermost layer OL or the innermost layer IL. This leads to problems such as an increase in the number of parts required due to the use of jumper wires. In this configuration, as described above, by adjusting the slot pitch Ns in the outermost layer OL, the intermediate layer ML, and the innermost layer IL in relation to the magnetic pole pitch P, it is possible to align the start and end points of the wave winding in the stator coil 19, eliminating the need for jumper wires. In other words, it is possible to improve the productivity of the wave-wound stator coil 19 even when segment coils 20 are used.

[0038] Furthermore, in the stator core 12 according to this embodiment, even when the wave winding is full-pitch winding, by setting the relationship between the slot pitch Ns of the outermost layer OL, innermost layer IL, and middle layer ML on the turn side and the slot pitch Ns on the welding side to a predetermined condition, it is possible to align the positions of the start and end points of the wave winding in the stator coil, eliminating the need to use jumper wires.

[0039] Second Embodiment In the first embodiment described above, an example was given in which the wave winding in the stator coil 19 was full-pitch winding, but the technology of the present disclosure is not limited to this. In the second embodiment, in the wave winding, adjacent segment coils 20 of the same phase in the radial direction of the stator core 12 are arranged at positions shifted from each other by a slot pitch Ns of k. As a result, the wave winding here is fractional-pitch winding.

[0040] In the stator coil 19 according to this embodiment, as in the first embodiment, when the number of slots per pole per phase is two, one of the slot pitch Ns of the outermost layer OL or the slot pitch Ns of the innermost layer IL is set to Ns = P + 1, and the other is set to Ns = P - 1. In the example shown in Figure 6, there are eight poles and 48 slots, so the magnetic pole pitch P = 6. The slot pitch Ns of the outermost layer OL is set to 7. The slot pitch Ns of the innermost layer IL is set to 5.

[0041] In the stator coil 19 according to this embodiment, one of the slot pitch Ns of the intermediate layer ML on the turn side and the slot pitch Ns on the welding side is set to Ns = P + k, and the other is set to Ns = P - k (k: difference between the magnetic pole pitch P and the slot pitch Ns), where k < P (k is a positive integer).

[0042] In this embodiment, in the wave winding, adjacent segment coils 20 of the same phase in the radial direction of the stator core 12 are arranged at positions offset by k in slot pitch Ns. Furthermore, the difference k between the magnetic pole pitch P and the slot pitch Ns is 1. In the example shown in FIG. 6, the slot pitch Ns of the intermediate layer ML is P-k. Since k=1, the slot pitch Ns of the intermediate layer ML is 5 (=P-k). As an example, the same segment coil 20 is inserted in slot number 13 of layer No. 3 of the intermediate layer ML on the turn side and slot number 18 of layer No. 2.

[0043] Furthermore, on the welding side, the slot pitch Ns = P + k. Since k = 1, the slot pitch Ns of the middle layer ML is 7 (= P + k). As an example, the same segment coil 20 is inserted in slot number 1 of layer No. 4 on the welding side and slot number 8 of layer No. 3.

[0044] As described above, in the second embodiment, when the number of slots per pole per phase in the stator coil 19 is two, the relationship between the slot pitch Ns of the outermost layer OL, the innermost layer IL, and the intermediate layer ML on the turn side and the slot pitch Ns on the welding side is set to a predetermined condition. As a result, by adjusting the slot pitch Ns in the outermost layer OL, the intermediate layer ML, and the innermost layer IL in relation to the magnetic pole pitch P, it is possible to align the start and end points of the wave winding in the stator coil 19, eliminating the need to use jumper wires. In other words, when joining segment coils 20 together in the stator core 12 using fractional pitch winding, electrical connection can be achieved without using jumper wires.

[0045] In addition, in the second embodiment, the difference k between the magnetic pole pitch P and the slot pitch Ns is 1, the magnetic pole pitch P is 6, and k<P. Therefore, even with fractional pitch winding where k<P, the start and end points of the wave winding in the stator coil 19 can be aligned, eliminating the need to use jumper wires.

[0046] (First Modification) Note that, in the above-described second embodiment, an example was given in which the slot pitch Ns of the intermediate layer ML on the turn side is P-k and the slot pitch Ns of the welding side is P+k, but the technology of the present disclosure is not limited to this. In this first modification, the slot pitch Ns of the intermediate layer ML on the turn side is P+k and the slot pitch Ns of the welding side is P-k (k: difference between the magnetic pole pitch P and the slot pitch Ns).

[0047] As shown in Figure 7, this modified example has 8 poles and 48 slots, so the magnetic pole pitch P = 6. The wave winding is fractional pitch winding, and the difference k between the magnetic pole pitch P and the slot pitch Ns is 1. In the example shown in Figure 7, the slot pitch Ns of the intermediate layer ML is P + k. Since k = 1, the slot pitch Ns of the intermediate layer ML is 7 (= P + k). As an example, the same segment coil 20 is inserted in slot number 13 of layer No. 3 of the intermediate layer ML on the turn side and slot number 20 of layer No. 2.

[0048] Furthermore, on the welding side, the slot pitch Ns = P-k. Since k = 1, the slot pitch Ns of the middle layer ML is 5 (= P-k). As an example, the same segment coil 20 is inserted in slot number 2 of layer 4 on the welding side and slot number 7 of layer 3.

[0049] As described above, in this first modified example, when the number of slots per pole per phase in the stator coil 19 is two, the relationship between the slot pitch Ns of the outermost layer OL, the innermost layer IL, and the intermediate layer ML on the turn side and the slot pitch Ns on the welding side is set to a predetermined condition. By adjusting the slot pitch Ns in the outermost layer OL, the intermediate layer ML, and the innermost layer IL in relation to the magnetic pole pitch P, the start and end points of the wave winding in the stator coil 19 can be aligned, eliminating the need for jumper wires. In other words, when joining segment coils 20 together using wave winding in the stator core 12, electrical connection can be achieved without using jumper wires.

[0050] (Second Modification) In the second embodiment, the difference k between the magnetic pole pitch P and the slot pitch Ns is 1. However, the technology of the present disclosure is not limited to this. In this second modification, k is set to 2.

[0051] As shown in Figure 8, this modified example has 8 poles and 48 slots, so the magnetic pole pitch P = 6. The wave winding is fractional pitch winding, and the difference k between the magnetic pole pitch P and the slot pitch Ns is 2. In the example shown in Figure 8, the slot pitch Ns of the intermediate layer ML is P + k. Since k = 2, the slot pitch Ns of the intermediate layer ML is 8 (= P + k). As an example, the same segment coil 20 is inserted in slot number 13 of layer No. 3 of the intermediate layer ML on the turn side and slot number 21 of layer No. 2.

[0052] Furthermore, on the welding side, the slot pitch Ns = P-k. Since k = 2, the slot pitch Ns of the middle layer ML is 4 (= P-k). As an example, the same segment coil 20 is inserted in the slot with slot number 3 in layer No. 4 on the welding side and the slot with slot number 7 in layer No. 3.

[0053] As described above, in the second modified example, when the number of slots per pole per phase in the stator coil 19 is two, the relationship between the slot pitch Ns of the outermost layer OL, the innermost layer IL, and the intermediate layer ML on the turn side and the slot pitch Ns on the welding side is set to a predetermined condition.

[0054] In this embodiment, the segment coils 20 are made of rectangular metal wires, but the stator coils 19 may be made of rectangular metal wires. Also, in this embodiment, the stator core 12 is made of laminated steel plates, but the stator core 12 may be made of at least a powder magnetic core.

[0055] Furthermore, in the above embodiment, an example in which the segment coil 20 is substantially U-shaped has been described, but the technology of the present disclosure is not limited to this. The segment coil 20 may also include an I-shaped segment coil. The I-shaped segment coil 20 is a flat wire made of metal wire with a rectangular cross section, and is inserted into one slot 18. Each of the ends of the I-shaped segment coil 20 protruding from the stator core 12 is joined to another member.

A stator core having a plurality of slots; and segment coils formed using flat wire with a rectangular cross section, inserted into different slots spaced apart in the circumferential direction of the stator core, with joint ends protruding from the slots on the side opposite to the inserted side being joined to the joint ends of other segment coils in a wave winding along the circumferential direction to form an electrically connected stator coil, wherein when the number of slots per pole per phase, which is the value obtained by dividing the number of slots by the number of magnetic poles of a rotor rotating relative to the stator core and the number of phases of AC generated in the stator coil, is 2, then, if the magnetic pole pitch, which is the value obtained by dividing the number of slots by the number of magnetic poles of the rotor, is P, and the difference between the slot pitch, which is the pitch of the slots on the side where the segment coil is inserted, and the magnetic pole pitch, is k, then one of the slot pitches on the inserted side at the outermost or innermost circumference of the stator core is P+1, and the other is P-1, A stator for a rotating electric machine, wherein one of the slot pitch on the inserted side in an intermediate layer between the outermost layer and the innermost layer of the stator core, or the slot pitch on the side from which the joint ends to be joined protrude, is set to P+k, and the other is set to P-k.

2. A stator for a rotating electric machine as described in claim 1, wherein in the wave winding of the stator coil, adjacent segment coils of the same phase in the radial direction are arranged at positions shifted from each other by the slot pitch of k.

3. The stator of a rotating electric machine according to claim 2, wherein the wave winding satisfies k<P.

4. The stator of a rotating electric machine according to claim 1, wherein the wave winding in the stator coil is a full-pitch winding, and k=0.
