Description

An aerosol generating device that separates a cigarette into a tobacco part and a filter part

[0001] The present invention relates to an aerosol generating device that uses a conventional combustion cigarette (hereinafter referred to as a conventional cigarette or conventional cigarette) rather than a reconfigured cigarette for electronic cigarettes, and more specifically, to an aerosol generating device that separates a conventional cigarette into a tobacco part and a filter, heats the cigarette and liquid separately, and mixes the generated aerosol in a single airflow path for inhalation by a user.

[0002] Aerosols are small liquid or solid particles suspended in the atmosphere, typically measuring 0.001 to 1.0 μm. Inhaling these fine particles, or aerosols, can result in the inhalation of substances, similar to smoking. Traditionally, inhaling tobacco in the form of cigarettes was the only means of inhaling these substances, but recently, electronic cigarettes, which heat rather than burn, have become established as another means. Electronic cigarettes heat a cigarette or liquid aerosol-forming device containing the inhalant, vaporizing the inhalant into vapor and generating fine particles. This method is completely different from conventional cigarettes, which produce nicotine through combustion, and thus has the advantage of preventing the generation of various harmful substances that can be generated by combustion.

[0003] Figure 1 is a block diagram of a conventional hybrid aerosol generator.

[0004] Referring to FIG. 1, a conventional hybrid aerosol generating device may include a cigarette receiving portion (60) that receives a reconfigured cigarette (10) for an electronic cigarette, a first heater (20) that heats the cigarette, a cartridge (30) that stores liquid, a second heater (40) that heats the liquid, and an airflow passage (50) through which airflow is communicated.

[0005] In a conventional device, a second heater (40) supplied with liquid heats the liquid to generate a liquid aerosol, the generated liquid aerosol is supplied to a reconstituted cigarette (10), and the first heater (20) heats the reconstituted cigarette (10) to generate a nicotine aerosol. At this time, when a user inhales air through the reconstituted cigarette, airflow is introduced through the airflow passage (50), and each aerosol is mixed with the airflow, so that the user can inhale this mixed aerosol.

[0006] In a conventional device, a portion of the aerosol generated from the second heater (40) may be cooled and turned into a liquid state as it passes through the airflow passage (50) and may be deposited in the airflow passage (duct). This deposition phenomenon in a conventional device may cause the movement of airflow in the airflow passage to be obstructed due to the deposited material, and may have a negative effect on the striking sensation felt by the user due to the insufficient amount of aerosol when the user inhales the aerosol. In addition, there was a problem that it was difficult to clean the deposited residue after use because the airflow passage was designed in a curved shape.

[0007] The present invention has been devised to solve the above-described problem, and the purpose of the present invention is to provide a device that separates a regular cigarette into a tobacco part and a filter part by a lever cutting or aperture cutting method, heats the tobacco part to generate a nicotine aerosol, heats the liquid in the cartridge to generate a liquid aerosol, and allows a user to inhale the two aerosols through the separated filter part.

[0083] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the drawings.

[0084] Figure 2 is a structural diagram of an aerosol generating device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0085] Referring to FIG. 2, an aerosol generating device according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a tobacco receiving portion (130) that receives a tobacco portion (110) of a cigarette (100), a first heater (140) that heats the tobacco portion, a detachable cartridge receiving portion (160), an airflow path connecting portion (190) that connects the tobacco receiving portion and the cartridge receiving portion, a second heater (170) that heats the liquid, a filter receiving portion (150) that receives a separated filter portion, and a control portion (not shown) that controls the heaters.

[0086] The above-mentioned cigarette (100) is a regular tobacco cigarette that is smoked by burning, and is composed of a cylindrical tobacco part (110) made by finely chopping tobacco leaves, wrapping them in paper, and a filter part (120) placed at one end of the tobacco part to remove impurities in tobacco smoke. Generally, the tobacco part and the filter part are joined together with thin paper. Therefore, the user can easily break and separate the tobacco part and the filter part by holding the boundary between them with both hands.

[0087] The above-mentioned tobacco receiving portion (130) is positioned at the bottom of the housing. By inserting the cigarette from the bottom to the top, only the tobacco portion (110) can be accommodated. In addition, the tobacco receiving portion accommodates the tobacco portion up to the end, so that the user can detach the filter portion exposed outside the tobacco receiving portion by lever-like bending.

[0088] The first heater (140) may be placed around the tobacco receiving portion that receives the tobacco. In addition, a conduit through which airflow is communicated may be formed at the upper center of the tobacco receiving portion.

[0089] The above first heater (140) is arranged to surround the perimeter of the tobacco container (130).

[0090] The first heater (140) can heat the inserted tobacco part to produce a nicotine aerosol.

[0091] The first heater (140) may be a resistance heating heater, a heating element heating heater, or an induction heating heater including a susceptor and a coil. For example, in the present invention, the first heater may generate an aerosol by heating a tobacco part accommodated in an aerosol generating device using an induction heating method. As a control unit (not shown) supplies power to the coil by switching the frequency of the battery on and off, a magnetic field may be formed inside the coil. The susceptor located inside the coil may generate heat when this magnetic field is applied, thereby heating the tobacco part. The susceptor may be a magnetic body that generates heat by an external magnetic field.

[0092] The first heater can heat the tobacco part (110) to 300 degrees or more to effectively convert it into an aerosol containing nicotine.

[0093] The above cartridge receiving portion (160) can receive a detachable cartridge, and an airflow path can be connected through an airflow path connecting portion formed at the top of the tobacco receiving portion.

[0094] The cartridge receiving portion (160) includes an electrode terminal that supplies power to the second heater, and power can be supplied to the second heater through this electrode terminal.

[0095] A removable cartridge stores the liquid and supplies it to the second heater (170). The liquid contains at least propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin, and can produce an aerosol that provides a rich vapor output. Various flavorings can be additionally included to provide a variety of tobacco flavors according to preference.

[0096] The detachable cartridge may, for example, include a hollow shape in the center that serves as an airflow path, and the second heater (170) may be positioned at the bottom of the hollow shape. The second heater may be coupled to the cartridge in a dependent manner.

[0097] The lower part of the cartridge where the second heater (170) and the cartridge are combined may include a wick or liquid supply hole that supplies liquid to the second heater from inside the cartridge.

[0098] The second heater (170) may be positioned at the lower part of the hollow inner surface of the cartridge. The second heater heats the liquid supplied from the cartridge to generate an aerosol, and this liquid aerosol is generated in the tobacco container and rises through the hollow surface together with the aerosol that has passed through the airflow path connection, so that it can be inhaled by the user.

[0099] The second heater (170) may use, for example, a coil heater with a coil wound around a wick or a porous ceramic heater.

[0100] The above airflow pass connecting portion (190) is a conduit that connects the tobacco receiving portion (130) and the cartridge receiving portion (160) to form an airflow pass.

[0101] By the structure as above, an airflow path can be formed in which airflow is introduced from the tobacco receiving portion (130), passes through the first heater (140), passes through the airflow pass connecting portion (190), and is then discharged to the filter receiving portion (150) through the hollow portion of the cartridge.

[0102] The above filter receiving portion (150) can be combined with the cartridge receiving portion (160). In addition, the filter receiving portion can be combined by forming a conduit connected to the cartridge receiving portion.

[0103] The filter receiving portion (150) receives a portion of the filter portion (120) separated from the cigarette, and the user can insert the filter portion (120) into the filter receiving portion (150) to simultaneously inhale the aerosol of nicotine components generated by heating the tobacco portion and the liquid aerosol formed by heating in the second heater through the filter portion.

[0104] The above control unit (not shown) controls the temperature of the first heater by controlling the power of the battery to heat the tobacco part, and controls the temperature of the second heater to heat the liquid.

[0105] FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view and a perspective view illustrating an airflow path in an aerosol generating device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0106] Referring to FIG. 3, in one embodiment of the present invention, a cover (250) covering the tobacco container (130) may be further included. In addition, an airflow hole is formed in the middle of the cover, and when the cover is closed, the airflow hole may be positioned at the entrance of the tobacco container.

[0107] The tobacco container is structured to insert the tobacco part (110) from the bottom up, so that the tobacco part may be pushed down slightly due to gravity and shaking during use. In addition, in order for the user to comfortably inhale the aerosol, the suction pressure throughout the entire airflow path must be maintained at an appropriate level. However, if the entrance to the cigarette container, which is as large as the diameter of the cigarette, is left open, the user may not be able to inhale smoothly. In order to prevent this problem, a cover (250) is used to generate an appropriate suction pressure while closing the entrance to the tobacco container, and an airflow hole (240) is formed in the middle of the cover (250), so that the airflow through this airflow hole can easily rise and move through the airflow path while forming a constant suction pressure.

[0108] Figure 4 is a state diagram for explaining the process of using an aerosol generating device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0109] Referring to FIG. 4, the operation process of the aerosol generating device according to the present invention will be described.

[0110] The user inserts a regular cigarette (100) from the bottom to the top through the tobacco receptacle (130). The filter portion (120) of the inserted cigarette is exposed to the outside of the tobacco receptacle. When the user pushes or presses the filter portion sideways while the cigarette is inserted, the end of the cylinder inside the tobacco receptacle acts as a lever, and the filter portion is separated. Once the filter portion is separated, the cover (250) is closed.

[0111] The user inserts the separated filter unit (200) into the upper filter receiving unit (150).

[0112] Next, the control unit (not shown) controls the power of the battery to supply power to the first heater (140) and the second heater (170). The first heater (140) can heat the tobacco part to 300 degrees or more to smoothly generate the nicotine aerosol of the tobacco part.

[0113] In a conventional aerosol generating device using a reconstituted tobacco cigarette, sufficient aerosol can be obtained even by heating to a temperature of less than 300 degrees, but in the present invention using a regular tobacco cigarette, a sufficient amount of nicotine aerosol can be obtained only by heating to a temperature of 300 degrees or higher. The second heater (170) receives liquid from the cartridge through a wick or liquid supply hole and heats it to about 150 to 250 degrees to generate a liquid aerosol.

[0114] At this time, when the user draws air through the filter unit (120) to inhale the aerosol, the airflow is introduced through the airflow hole of the cover, and rises toward the cartridge together with the nicotine aerosol generated by heating the tobacco unit. The nicotine aerosol thus raised and the liquid aerosol generated by heating in the second heater (170) rise together through the hollow part of the cartridge, pass through the filter unit inserted into the filter receiving unit (150), and are inhaled by the user.

[0115] When the user has finished inhaling the aerosol, open the cover, remove the inserted tobacco, and pull out and remove the filter inserted into the filter receptacle.

[0116] In the present invention, the characteristics of each element of an aerosol generating device that separates a cigarette into a tobacco part and a filter part will be described.

[0117] Referring again to FIG. 2, the present invention generates an aerosol using a conventional tobacco cigarette. The inventors have discovered that when a conventional tobacco cigarette is heated to 300 degrees or higher, nicotine and tobacco components are effectively converted into an aerosol, producing a flavor much closer to the original tobacco (burned tobacco) flavor compared to conventional reconfigured electronic cigarettes. Therefore, in the present invention, the first heater must heat the tobacco portion to 300 degrees or higher.

[0118] In the present invention, the filter receiving portion (150) may be located on the opposite side of the tobacco receiving portion (130).

[0119] Conventional devices placed the cartridge on the side or bottom of the cigarette holder to maximize the vaporization of the reconstituted cigarette. This resulted in the accumulation of droplets in the airflow path and impaired the percussion sensation.

[0120] In the present invention, the tobacco container (130) is positioned at the bottom of the device, and the filter container (150) is positioned at the top. The reason the tobacco container is positioned at the bottom is that the aerosol generated at a high temperature at the bottom rises and changes to a low temperature, and the temperature of the aerosol must be lowered to a level that the user can inhale, so that the user can inhale this changed aerosol.

[0121] As the high-temperature aerosol of over 300 degrees generated from the tobacco part and the liquid aerosol of 150 to 250 degrees generated at the upper part are generated at the lower part of the airflow path connection, the temperature distribution at the airflow path connection has a distribution of values between 300 and 150 degrees, and the temperature distribution between the first heater, the airflow path connection, and the second heater has a temperature distribution that is high at the bottom and low at the top, decreasing linearly, so that the airflow does not stagnate and can naturally rise according to the temperature difference between the upper and lower parts. In addition, the airflow path connection connecting the cigarette receiving portion and the cartridge cavity is very short, so that the nicotine aerosol generated from the cigarette receiving portion can rise to the second heater of the cartridge while being maintained at a sufficiently high temperature. Therefore, contamination of the conduit can be minimized.

[0122] In addition, in the present invention, the cartridge receiving portion (160) is located above the tobacco receiving portion (150). The high-temperature aerosol generated in the tobacco receiving portion helps the second heater to heat the liquid with less energy to generate the aerosol.

[0123] In addition, in the present invention, the filter part (120) separated from the cigarette (100) filters and absorbs harmful substances and liquid residues generated from the tobacco part (110), and after use, the filter part is removed, thereby reducing the amount of residues accumulated within the device.

[0124] The present invention separates a regular cigarette into a tobacco part and a filter part, inserts the separated filter part into a filter receiving part, and recycles it, thereby alleviating pollution and health problems caused by fine dust, harmful substances, and liquid residue generated from the tobacco part (110) due to insufficient heating and cooling of the liquid. The filter part (120) that has become contaminated with pollutants after use can simply be pulled out and thrown away in a trash can, making it very convenient to use and keeping the device cleaner.

[0125] Referring again to FIG. 3, the tobacco part (110) according to the present invention, in which aerosol generation is completed, can be easily separated from the tobacco receiving part (130), and the aerosol generating device has a structure that makes it easy to clean the inside. The tobacco part (110) inserted into the tobacco receiving part (130) and heated is contracted compared to the tobacco part before initial heating. Therefore, the user can easily take out the tobacco part from the tobacco receiving part (130) by gravity, and the filter part (120) inserted into the filter receiving part (150) can also be easily taken out. In addition, since the airflow path is connected in a short distance from the tobacco receiving part to the filter receiving part, when large particles of dust and soot are generated inside the heater, the user can easily remove the soot by blowing air, and the part where tobacco droplets are deposited can be easily cleaned with a cleaning brush.

[0126] Referring back to FIG. 2, the aerosol generator according to the present invention may further include a temperature sensor (180). In the present invention, the temperature sensor (180) may be placed by sharing the airflow path connection portion (190) between the tobacco container and the cartridge container (160). For example, in the present invention, the airflow path connection portion may be divided into a "T" shape, and a temperature sensor may be placed at the branched location and electrically connected to a control unit (not shown). The control unit measures the temperature of the aerosol generated by the first heater through the temperature sensor and controls the operation of the first heater.

[0127] In the present invention, since the tobacco component must be heated to 300 degrees or higher to aerosolize the nicotine component and tobacco component of the tobacco, the control unit measuring the temperature of the aerosol generated from the first heater may be an essential element for enhancing the above-described effect. The temperature sensor may be a thermistor, thermocouple, semiconductor temperature sensor, or the like.

[0128] Figure 5 is a perspective view of a tobacco container in an aerosol generating device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0129] Referring to FIG. 5, in one embodiment of the present invention, the tobacco receiving portion (130) may include a wing (230) on the inner circumference of the end. In addition, the end of the wing may be shaped like a blade.

[0130] When a user inserts a cigarette (100) into a tobacco container (130), the filter portion (120) of the cigarette becomes exposed to the outside. When the user bends the filter portion sideways using the principle of a lever, the blades (230) of the tobacco container act as a lever, and at the same time, the blade shape at the tip of the blades easily breaks the filter portion, allowing the user to easily separate and remove the filter portion (120) from the tobacco container.

[0131] Figure 6 is an exploded view of a filter separation unit in an aerosol generating device according to another embodiment of the present invention.

[0132] Referring to FIG. 6, the present invention further includes a filter separation unit (200) that separates the filter unit of the cigarette, and can be combined with the tobacco receiving unit (130).

[0133] For example, in the present invention, a female screw (or male screw) (270) is formed on the inner cylindrical wall of the filter separator (200), and a male screw (or female screw) (280) is formed on the outer wall of the tobacco container so that they can be coupled to each other. The female screw of the filter separator and the male screw of the tobacco container correspond to each other and are interlocked and coupled, and when the user rotates the filter separator in one direction, the height of the filter separator is lowered as it rotates, and when the filter separator is rotated in the opposite direction, the height of the filter separator is increased. Therefore, by rotating the filter separator, the depth of the cigarette accommodated in the tobacco container can be adjusted.

[0134] In another embodiment of the present invention, the filter separator (200) may include a separator wing (260) on the inner circumference of the end portion. In addition, the end portion of the separator wing may have a blade shape.

[0135] The filter separation part includes a separation part wing (260) like the wing (230) of the above tobacco receiving part, and the separation part wing has the shape of a blade, so that the user can easily separate the filter part by using the principle of leverage.

[0136] In another embodiment of the present invention, the filter separation unit may be formed with a slot (290) for confirming the boundary between the tobacco unit and the filter unit.

[0137] The length of regular cigarettes varies depending on the product. Therefore, by rotating the filter separator (200), the depth of the cigarettes accommodated in the tobacco container can be adjusted. The user can visually confirm the boundary between the tobacco and filter portions of the cigarette inserted into the tobacco container through the slot (290), position that boundary on the separation wing of the filter separator, and easily separate the filter portion using the lever principle.

[0138] Referring again to FIG. 2, according to another embodiment of the present invention, the filter receiving portion may be structured to receive a drip tip (not shown) through which a user inhales an aerosol instead of a filter.

[0139] A user may lose the filter unit or use a drip tip instead of the filter unit. Furthermore, the present invention allows the user to inhale the aerosol generated using the drip tip by inserting the filter unit into the filter receiving portion (150) and then inserting the exposed portion of the filter unit into the drip tip, thereby combining the trip tip and the filter receiving portion. This advantage prevents the filter unit from shaking and fixes the filter unit to a designated location, thereby preventing aerosol leakage and allowing the user to inhale only filtered aerosol.

[0140] Figure 7 is a state diagram for explaining the process of using an aerosol generating device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0141] Referring to FIG. 7, the operation process of the aerosol generating device according to the present invention will be described.

[0142] The user opens the aperture by turning the rotary dial (220) of the filter separator in one direction, and inserts a regular cigarette (100) from the bottom to the top into the tobacco container. The filter portion (120) of the inserted cigarette is exposed to the outside of the filter separator. With the cigarette inserted, the user closes the aperture by turning the rotary dial (220) of the filter separator in the opposite direction, and the filter portion is cut and separated.

[0143] The user inserts the separated filter unit into the upper filter receiving unit (150).

[0144] Next, the control unit (not shown) controls the power of the battery to supply power to the first heater (140) and the second heater (170). The first heater (140) can heat the tobacco part to 300 degrees or more to smoothly generate nicotine aerosol from the tobacco part.

[0145] In a conventional aerosol generating device using a reconstituted tobacco cigarette, sufficient aerosol can be obtained even by heating to a temperature of less than 300 degrees, but in the present invention using a regular tobacco cigarette, a sufficient amount of nicotine aerosol can be obtained only by heating to a temperature of 300 degrees or higher. The second heater (170) receives liquid from the cartridge through a wick or liquid supply hole and heats it to about 150 to 250 degrees to generate a liquid aerosol.

[0146] At this time, when the user draws air through the filter unit (120) to inhale the aerosol, the airflow flows in from the tobacco container, and the tobacco container (110) is heated and the generated nicotine aerosol rises toward the cartridge. The nicotine aerosol thus raised and the liquid aerosol generated by heating in the second heater (170) rise together through the hollow space of the cartridge, pass through the filter unit inserted into the filter container (150), and are inhaled by the user.

[0147] When the user has finished inhaling the aerosol, he / she turns the rotary dial (220) in one direction to open the aperture, removes the inserted tobacco part, and pulls out and removes the filter part inserted into the filter receptacle.

[0148] In the present invention, the characteristics of each element of an aerosol generating device that separates a cigarette into a tobacco part and a filter part will be described.

[0149] Referring again to FIG.

[0150] In the present invention, the filter receiving portion (150) may be located on the opposite side of the tobacco receiving portion (130).

[0151] Conventional devices placed the cartridge on the side or bottom of the cigarette holder to maximize the vaporization of the reconstituted cigarette. This resulted in droplets accumulating in the airflow path and impaired the percussion sensation.

[0152] In the present invention, the tobacco container (130) is positioned at the bottom of the device, and the filter container (150) is positioned at the top. The reason the tobacco container is positioned at the bottom is that the aerosol generated at a high temperature at the bottom rises and changes to a low temperature, and the temperature of the aerosol must be lowered to a level that the user can inhale, so that the user can inhale this changed aerosol.

[0153] As the high-temperature aerosol of 300 degrees or more generated from the tobacco part and the liquid aerosol of 150 to 250 degrees generated at the upper part are generated at the lower part of the airflow pass connecting part (190), the temperature distribution at the airflow pass connecting part has a distribution of values between 300 and 150 degrees, so that the temperature distribution between the first heater, the airflow pass connecting part, and the second heater has a temperature distribution that is high at the lower part and low at the upper part, and decreases linearly, so that the airflow does not stagnate and can naturally rise according to the temperature difference between the upper and lower parts. In addition, the airflow pass connecting part that connects the cigarette receiving part and the cartridge cavity is very short in length, so that the nicotine aerosol generated at the cigarette receiving part can rise to the second heater of the cartridge while being maintained at a sufficiently high temperature. Therefore, contamination of the conduit can be minimized.

[0154] In addition, in the present invention, the cartridge receiving portion (160) is located above the tobacco receiving portion (150). The high-temperature aerosol generated in the tobacco receiving portion helps the second heater to heat the liquid with less energy to generate the aerosol.

[0155] In addition, in the present invention, the filter part (120) separated from the cigarette (100) filters and absorbs harmful substances and liquid residues generated from the tobacco part (110), and after use, the filter part is removed, thereby reducing the amount of residues accumulated within the device.

[0156] The present invention separates a regular cigarette into a tobacco part and a filter part, inserts the separated filter part into a filter receiving part, and recycles it, thereby alleviating pollution and health problems caused by fine dust, harmful substances, and liquid residue generated from the tobacco part (110) due to insufficient heating and cooling of the liquid. The filter part (120) that has become contaminated with pollutants after use can simply be pulled out and thrown away in a trash can, making it very convenient to use and keeping the device cleaner.

[0157] Figure 8 is a perspective view and a cross-sectional view of an airflow path of an aerosol generating device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0158] Referring to FIG. 8, the tobacco part (110) in which aerosol generation is completed according to the present invention can be easily separated from the tobacco receiving part (130), and the aerosol generating device has a structure that makes it easy to clean the inside. The tobacco part (110) inserted into the tobacco receiving part (130) and heated is contracted compared to the tobacco part before the initial heating.

[0159] Referring again to FIG. 2, the aerosol generating device according to the present invention may further include a temperature sensor (180).

[0160] In the present invention, since the tobacco component must be heated to 300 degrees or higher to aerosolize the nicotine component and tobacco component of the tobacco, the control unit measuring the temperature of the aerosol generated from the first heater may be an essential element for enhancing the above-described effect. The temperature sensor may be a thermistor, thermocouple, semiconductor temperature sensor, or the like.

[0161] Referring to FIG. 2, according to another embodiment of the present invention, the filter receiving portion may be structured to receive a drip tip (not shown) through which a user inhales aerosol instead of a filter.

[0162] A user may lose the filter unit or use a drip tip instead of the filter unit.

[0163] Figure 9 is an exploded view of a filter separation unit in an aerosol generating device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0164] Fig. 10 is a diagram illustrating the aperture operation of a filter separation unit in an aerosol generating device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0165] Referring to FIGS. 9 and 6, the filter separation unit (200) according to the present invention may include a rotary dial (220) that opens and closes the aperture, a rotary dial coupling unit (270) that is coupled with the rotary dial and guides the rotation, a blade that separates the filter unit of the cigarette, and a guide groove (260) through which the blade moves.

[0166] The above rotary dial (220) has a cylindrical lid shape. When the user turns the rotary dial in one direction, the blades (210) of the aperture rotate and close, and when the user turns it in the opposite direction, the blades rotate and close.

[0167] The above rotary dial coupling part (270) can be coupled by forming a male connection part (290) on the inner lower part of the cylinder and forming a female connection part (300) on the outer part of the combustion receiving part to which it is coupled.

[0168] The above blade (210) is placed on the inside of the rotating dial cylinder.

[0169] In the present invention, the filter separation unit (200) may have a plurality of blades (210) that operate in an aperture manner. In the present invention, the blades are composed of three, but the plurality of blades may be designed like a camera aperture.

[0170] The above guide groove (260) forms a groove in which the blade moves on the entrance surface of the tobacco container, so that the aperture can be opened and closed as the blade moves along this groove.

[0171] In the present invention, the features and operation of each element of the filter separation unit (200) will be described.

[0172] In the present invention, the blade (210) may have a blade formed at the end where the aperture closes. Since the aperture of the present invention serves to cut the filter portion (120) of the cigarette, the blade may have a blade formed at the end where the aperture closes, thereby sharply and cleanly cutting and separating the filter portion.

[0173] In the present invention, the rotary dial coupling part (270) may include wings (280) that are lockedly coupled with the rotary dial (220). For example, the rotary dial coupling part (270) forms wings (280) in four directions with steps on the outer circumference of the rotary dial coupling part, and forms a dial rotation groove (310) that is coupled with the wings (280) in a cylindrical shape on the inner wall surface of the rotary dial (220), so that the locking coupling can be achieved by pressing the rotation groove of the rotary dial against the wings of the rotary dial coupling part. In addition, the wings (280) formed on the rotary dial coupling part have the function of coupling the rotary dial (200), and when the rotary dial rotates, the four wings (280) support the rotary dial (220) in a balanced manner from all sides and guide the dial rotation groove (310) to rotate.

[0174] In the present invention, the blade forms a rotation axis (240) that is coupled with the rotation dial (220), and a fixing groove that is coupled with the rotation axis is formed on the inner upper surface of the rotation dial, so that they are inserted and assembled together. When the user turns the rotation dial (220), the rotation axis (240) of the blade moves in the rotational direction.

[0175] In the present invention, the tobacco receiving portion may include a guide groove (260) through which the blade moves. The guide groove (260) is formed on the entrance surface of the tobacco receiving portion (130), and a moving shaft (250) that engages with the guide groove is formed on the blade, so that the moving shaft (250) is inserted into and engaged with the guide groove (260), and when the aperture opens and closes, the moving shaft (250) of the blade moves along the guide groove (260), thereby opening and closing the blade (210).

[0176] Therefore, when the user turns the rotary dial, the fixed groove of the rotary dial rotates, the rotation axis of the blade moves along the fixed groove, the blade moves, and the movement axis (250) of the blade moves in the rotational direction along the guide groove (260), thereby achieving the motion of opening and closing the blade (210).

[0177] Referring again to FIGS. 8 and 10, in the present invention, the plurality of blades (210) can form an airflow hole (400) in the center when all are closed.

[0178] The filter separator is structured to insert the tobacco part (110) from the bottom up, so that the tobacco part may be pushed down slightly due to gravity and shaking during use. In addition, in order for the user to comfortably inhale the aerosol, the suction pressure throughout the entire airflow path must be maintained at an appropriate level. However, if the cigarette receiving portion inlet, which is as large as the diameter of the cigarette, is left open, the user may not be able to inhale smoothly. In order to prevent this problem, the aperture of the filter separator must be closed to generate an appropriate suction pressure while closing the tobacco receiving portion inlet, and an airflow hole (400) is formed in the center where the aperture is closed, so that the airflow through this airflow hole can easily rise and move through the airflow path while forming a constant suction pressure.

[0179] In the present invention, the plurality of N blades (210) can form a fan-shaped circumference in which the airflow hole (400) is divided into N.

[0180] For example, in the present invention, the aperture of the filter separation unit is applied with three blades. Each blade is arranged at an angle of 120 degrees, and when the aperture is closed, the three blades rotate and interlock at the center, and an airflow hole is formed at the center. Therefore, the area of the airflow hole formed by one blade is a 120-degree fan-shaped area obtained by dividing the entire airflow hole area by 3, and the circumference of the fan-shaped area must be formed at a position corresponding to each blade. When the three blades formed in this way interlock, a circular airflow hole can be formed.

[0181]

[0182] Figure 11 is a drawing showing an example of a hybrid aerosol generator capable of using liquid and cigarettes in parallel according to the prior art.

[0183] In the case of fine particle generators that generate fine particles for inhalation by inserting a conventional cigarette, there were problems such as users feeling less satisfied or less satisfied with the feeling of smoking because the method of inhaling steamed tobacco leaves did not produce as much smoke as combustion cigarettes, and there was also a problem that a lot of residue remained on the heater, requiring frequent cleaning.

[0184] To address this, microparticle generators that incorporate liquids to enhance the inhalation of tobacco vapor are being developed.

[0185] In Fig. 11, a hybrid aerosol generator according to the prior art includes a main body (10) and a liquid cartridge assembly (20) detachable from the main body (10), and upper and lower casings (31, 32) that cover the main body (10) and the liquid cartridge assembly (20) and form an exterior.

[0186] The main body (10) has components such as a battery, a main circuit board, and buttons arranged on the lower part (11), and a smoking section (12) for smoking a cigarette (T) is arranged on the upper part. The smoking section (12) is smaller than the lower part (11) of the main body, so that a free space is provided on one side. A liquid cartridge assembly (20) is combined in this free space.

[0187] The smoking section (12) includes a cylindrical receiving section (14) with an open top so that a cigarette can be inserted, and a cylindrical heater that is placed on the inner periphery of the receiving section (14) and heats the cigarette (T). In addition, a slide cover (34) for opening and closing the receiving section (14) is installed on the upper casing (31).

[0188] On the upper surface of the lower portion (11), an auxiliary circuit board connected to the main circuit board is arranged so as to transmit a control signal to the liquid cartridge assembly (20), and a spring terminal (12a) is connected to the upper portion of the auxiliary circuit board. The terminal of the liquid cartridge assembly (20) contacts the spring terminal (12a) connected to the auxiliary circuit board to supply power and an electric signal to the liquid cartridge assembly (20).

[0189] In addition, the smoking section (12) can communicate with the liquid cartridge assembly (20) through an airflow pass (12b). The liquid cartridge assembly (20) also has an outside air inlet hole (22) that allows outside air to be introduced and airflow containing fine particles to be sent to the airflow pass (12b).

[0190] However, conventional hybrid aerosol generators have the disadvantage of requiring the use of a dedicated cigarette cartridge for aerosol generation. Therefore, the development of technology that allows conventional cigarette cartridges to be used in hybrid aerosol generators is needed.

[0191] FIG. 12 is a perspective view of an aerosol generating device having a cigarette cutting portion according to one embodiment, and FIG. 13 is a cross-sectional view of an aerosol generating device having a cigarette cutting portion according to one embodiment.

[0192] An aerosol generating device according to an embodiment comprises a cigarette receiving portion (310) for receiving a cigarette (T) within a housing (100), and a heating portion (320) disposed around the cigarette receiving portion (310) for heating the cigarette (T). In addition, the housing (100) comprises an aerosol discharge hole (110) for discharging aerosol used in the cigarette (T) so that the user can inhale it. An airflow path (120, 130) is provided between the end of the cigarette (T) and the aerosol discharge hole (110) so that the aerosol can pass through.

[0193] The embodiment is a cigarette (T), and has a structure in which the cigarette portion (T) and filter portion (F) of a combustion cigarette can be cut and used so that a general cigarette (combustion cigarette) rather than a cigarette (heated cigarette) specifically designed for an aerosol generating device can be used.

[0194] When a cigarette is inserted into an aerosol generator, the cigarette portion (T) is accommodated in the cigarette receiving portion (310), and the filter portion (F) protrudes outside the cigarette receiving portion (310), and the cigarette cutting portion (200) can be operated to divide the cigarette portion (T) and the filter portion (F).

[0195] The separated filter part (F) as needed can be inserted into the aerosol discharge hole (110) and used as a disposable mouse filter.

[0196] Meanwhile, a hybrid aerosol generator with increased atomization amount can be utilized by providing a liquid cartridge (400) on an airflow path (120, 130). The liquid cartridge (400) can utilize a conventional liquid cartridge configuration and can be provided with a liquid storage unit and a liquid heating unit to generate an aerosol by heating the stored liquid.

[0197] The aerosol generated by heating the cigarette part (T) by the heating part (320) flows into the liquid cartridge (400) through the upstream airflow pass (120), and together with the liquid-derived aerosol generated in the liquid cartridge (400), flows through the downstream airflow pass (130) to the aerosol discharge hole (110) or the filter part (F) so that the user can inhale it.

[0198] FIG. 14 is a perspective view illustrating a cutting portion of an aerosol generator having a cigarette cutting portion according to one embodiment, FIG. 15 is a view illustrating a cigarette cutting process of an aerosol generator having a cigarette cutting portion according to one embodiment, FIG. 16 is a view illustrating a cutting portion of an aerosol generator having a cigarette cutting portion according to one embodiment, and FIG. 17 is a view illustrating the remaining portion of an aerosol generator having a cigarette cutting portion according to one embodiment with the cutting bracket omitted.

[0199] According to one embodiment, the cigarette receiving portion (310) is of a type in which a cigarette is inserted through the bottom, and the cigarette cutting portion (200) is installed on the lower side of the housing (100).

[0200] The cigarette cutting unit (200) has a cover bracket (210) attached to the housing (100), and a blade (230) is mounted between the cover bracket (210) and the housing (100) so as to be slidable toward the cigarette receiving unit (310). A sliding knob (220) is installed on the outside of the cover bracket (210) so that a user can operate the sliding of the blade (230), and a guide (240) for fixing the sliding knob (220) is installed on the inside of the cover bracket (210). The blade (230) may be fixed to the guide (240) or the sliding knob (220) as needed.

[0201] The cover bracket (210) prevents the blade (230) from being exposed to the outside, assists in the installation of the blade (230), and guides the blade (230) to slide.

[0202] The cover bracket (210) is provided with a guide hole (212) that guides the movement path of the sliding knob (220), and is provided with a cigarette insertion hole (214) at a position corresponding to the cigarette receiving portion (310) so as not to obstruct the cigarette receiving portion (310). In addition, screws (216), etc. for installing the cover bracket (210) to the housing (100) may be provided.

[0203] The blade (230) slides to cut the cigarette while simultaneously closing the cigarette receiving portion (310). Therefore, it is possible to prevent the cigarette portion (T) from being separated from the cigarette receiving portion (310) after being cut. Meanwhile, in order to facilitate inhalation of the aerosol generated by heating the cigarette portion (T) received in the cigarette receiving portion (310), outside air must be introduced into the cigarette receiving portion (310). At this time, an outside air introduction structure can be simply provided by forming an airflow hole (232) in the blade (230).

[0204] Meanwhile, after use is finished, the blade (230) is slid back in using the sliding knob (220) to open the cigarette holder (310), thereby allowing the cigarette holder (T) inserted into the cigarette holder (310) to be easily removed.

[0205] FIG. 18 is a drawing showing an example of a blade provided in an aerosol generating device having a cigarette cutting section according to one embodiment.

[0206] The blade of the quality cutting section can be designed in various forms as needed. As in the first embodiment, it can be equipped with a pointed blade (b), or it can adopt a straight blade (a) or a serrated blade (c).

[0207] FIG. 19 is a cross-sectional view of an aerosol generating device having a cigarette cutting section according to one embodiment.

[0208] An aerosol generating device according to an embodiment comprises a cigarette receiving portion (310) for receiving a cigarette (T) within a housing (100), and a heating portion (320) disposed around the cigarette receiving portion (310) for heating the cigarette (T).

[0209] The embodiment is a cigarette (T), and has a structure in which the cigarette portion (T) and filter portion (F) of a combustion cigarette can be cut and used so that a general cigarette (combustion cigarette) rather than a cigarette (heated cigarette) specifically designed for an aerosol generating device can be used.

[0210] According to one embodiment, the cigarette receiving portion (310) is of a type in which a cigarette is inserted through the bottom, and the cigarette cutting portion (200) is installed on the lower side of the housing (100).

[0211] When a cigarette is inserted into an aerosol generator, the cigarette portion (T) is accommodated in the cigarette receiving portion (310), and the filter portion (F) protrudes outside the cigarette receiving portion (310), and the cigarette cutting portion (200) can be operated to divide the cigarette portion (T) and the filter portion (F).

[0212] The separated filter part (F) as needed can be inserted into the aerosol discharge hole (110) and used as a disposable mouse filter.

[0213] Meanwhile, a hybrid aerosol generator with increased atomization amount can be utilized by providing a liquid cartridge (400) on an airflow path (120, 130). The liquid cartridge (400) can utilize a conventional liquid cartridge configuration and can be provided with a liquid storage unit and a liquid heating unit to generate an aerosol by heating the stored liquid.

[0214] The aerosol generated by heating the cigarette part (T) by the heating part (320) flows into the liquid cartridge (400) through the upstream airflow pass (120), and together with the liquid-derived aerosol generated in the liquid cartridge (400), flows through the downstream airflow pass (130) to the aerosol discharge hole (110) or the filter part (F) so that the user can inhale it.

[0215] FIG. 20 is a partial perspective view of an aerosol generator having a cigarette cutting portion according to one embodiment, with the cover bracket of the cutting portion omitted; FIG. 21 is a partial perspective view showing a cigarette cutting appearance of an aerosol generator having a cigarette cutting portion according to one embodiment; FIG. 22 is a drawing showing a cutting portion of an aerosol generator according to one embodiment; and FIG. 23 is a drawing showing an example of a heating element provided in an aerosol generator having a cigarette cutting portion according to one embodiment.

[0216] The cigarette cutting section is equipped with a heating element (210) installed in a housing (100) and a cover bracket (220) that covers the heating element (210) so that it is not exposed to the outside.

[0217] The heating element (210) has a circular heating portion (214) that surrounds a cigarette (T) and has some sections deleted, and terminal pads (212) that extend from both ends of the heating portion (214) to the outer periphery. When a cigarette is inserted into the cigarette receiving portion, the cigarette insertion is automatically recognized using a sensor or the like, or when the user inputs a command using a button, current is applied through the terminal pad (212) to heat the heating element (210). At this time, the temperature of the heating portion (214) must rise to at least 200°C or higher to be able to singe the wrapping paper on the outside of the cigarette. At this time, the gap between the heating portion (214) and the outer periphery of the cigarette is preferably 0.05 mm or higher.

[0218] Meanwhile, the heating element (210) may further include a bridge (216) extending from the heating portion (214) to the outer periphery for fixation. The bridge (216) is combined with the housing (100) to help fix the heating element (210).

[0219] Although the present invention has been described as above, those skilled in the art will recognize that the present invention can be implemented in other forms while maintaining the technical spirit and essential features of the present invention.
